Reviews for Hotel Pedraladda
Review 1:Had a problem with having to pay up front on arrival, travel quite a lot and found this most usual. The WiFi only available in certain areas of the property, may not be a problem for some, bur we found it to be inconvenient .
Review 2:Very close to the town, very well kept and nice hotel.
Review 3:Beach is not nice - it is not possible to swim there; most of the beach is in the shadow (under the cliff) Swimmingpool is veeery cold We didn´t have very nice view from the room, even if we paid for see view, we could see part of the see and the rest was roof, airconditioning Dinner - we stayed in three hotels during a visit to Sardinia and this buffet was the worst. Staff stop refill food half an hour before and the quality was poorer compared to other hotels we visited
Review 4:Good breakfast - rich choice big, clean and comfortable room Castelsardo is very nice - ideal for three nights (not for whole holiday) Nice view from the restaurant and swimmingpool
Review 5:Rocky beach near hotel wasn't good for swimming or snorkeling, simply a bit too dangerous when it's wavy & windy. We rented a car - so we simply went to the next sandy beaches, located few kilometers away from Castelsardo, the closest one is beach (spiaggia) Lu Bagnu.
Review 6:Superb food - this hotel has one of the best chefs in Sardinia. Great view and location - 15minute walk from Castelsardo castle, which is gorgeous during the day and is even nicer at night.
Review 7:Hotel's private beach near but not nice place to swim or sunbathing. Lots and lots of stairs (even inside the room!) what may be a problem if you have heavy luggage or can not use stairs. Hard to find public parking near the hotel, so if you arrive by car, better to arrive before 18h to find a parking spot.
Review 8:Great view to Castelsardo. Breakfast had a goof variety of food (breads (home made), juices, yogurts...) and the hotel has a beautiful swimming pool, although we didn't use it. Helpful staff and decent room size for my husband and I.
Review 9:The shower was very small in a big bathroom. No wifi available in the bedrooms.Roadworks in front of the hotel which caused noise all day long. Lots of stairs.
Review 10:Comfortable bedroom and bed with good air conditioning.Good size swimming pool. Evening meal was good value for money.
Review 11:The hotel's loud disco music - the disco was empty! - was a real pain when we just wanted a lovely wine on a moonlit night. Blaring Italian music - with no one even there! Our room was inexpensive and you get what you pay for, however the walls we looked at from the bed were close and completely blank white. Felt like a cell!
Review 12:The view from the hotel terrace was lovely - however the access to the beach (one of the reasons we went) was blocked due to roadworks
Review 13:That you could only get wifi in reception and also you can't pay for anything in cash this should be made aware at time of booking as we took our travel money in euros to pay for extras at the hotel.
Review 14:The staff were really helpful with anything you asked them with, as their own beach was shut they provided the guests with a free beach shuttle along with brollies and sunbeds which was nice, the hotel was very clean, good location, good size pool. Decent size rooms.
Review 15:Minor thing, Wifi is only available in the lobby, otherwise everything was good
Review 16:Nice hotel, great and friendly stuff, nice pool, live music in the bar at nights. The near beach was closed, so they arranged shuttle bus for us to another beach which is a few kilometers away, where we also got free sunbeds. The city is only 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
Review 17:Wifi only in reception. Not super friendly staff in reception. Breakfast average.
Review 18:Great views and walking distance to the castle. Nice size family rooms with sitting area outside on 1st floor.
Review 19:Big rock view for economy room, just likei imprisonment. Suggested to upgrade seaview room.
Review 20:All of staff are helpful. Nice swimming pool with good view. Half board with delicious food, not including drink at dinner. Free shuttle bus to Sandy beach with umbrella and chairs provided.
Review 21:Wifi only in lobby. Some areas on the exterior could use some refreshing, for example exterior paint.
Review 22:Quiet, relaxed, views and pool. Great staff, comfortable bed.
Review 23:We booked the hotel as a playground was advertised and we were travelling with a toddler. The hotel has many steep steps and would not be suitable for older guests as the lift ( our child nearly got his hand caught in the lift also )only services from reception to the 1st floor. Beach was closed off and road works in front of hotel
Review 24:Stunning views from our sea view hotel bedroom and dinner/ breakfast room. Location was close to the town
Review 25:The hotel reception was not at ground level and required you to climb 23 steps with out a lift. One had to drag suit cases up a ramp over the steps. There was no prior notice of the number of steps to be taken. The lift only reduces the number of steps by 50 and we had another 40 approx to to to the dining room or pool. Although the advert indicated Sky TV, Sky Sports was not available as it had to be bought in for special occasions. We had intended watching the Ryder Cup but could not. Deck chairs at pool were changed from a good set to an old set during our stay.
Review 26:Beautiful views and a good size balcony outside our room. Good size pool.
Review 27:Balcony is very small
Review 28:Hotel has a Nice view on the castle and the village. Swimming pool is Large and very clean. Breakfast very good. Staff very friendly
Review 29:We had the best time. The staff spoke english and was very helpful. We had a special dinner at the hotel. It was wonderful. Easy access to town by bus or taxi.
Review 30:a harpillow among 2 no insecticid available at front desk ... but a tiger moquito in the room
Review 31:good bed/mattress abondant and varied breakfast hotel close to other commodities
Review 32:- The beach is not really suitable for swimming due to limited/difficult accessibility of the deep water - terraces of the rooms are not properly separated
Review 33:- extraordinary sea and castle view - nicely decorated, big rooms and public areas - wide-scaled children friendly facilities - quite good breakfast with proper variety of international meal
Review 34:paying for a pool hat should be free paying for table on terrace
Review 35:swimming pool , view of old town evening entertainment parking for motorcycle bikes
Review 36:The breakfast was good and copious but was not of the best quality of ingredients I would personally have preferred better quality items with less choice
Review 37:The hotel is really well located, being just a 5-10 minute walk into Castelsardo and with great views of the town. The rooms were bright and airy and kept very clean. The service was great and the reception staff were really helpful and happy to help with anything.
Review 38:Rather large and impersonal. Found driving around Castelsardo rather confusing. I don't really see the point of a beach hotel where you swim in the pool instead (and they enforce the silly Italian rule of needing a bathing cap in the pool - if you don't have one, you can buy one, but only from reception not from the pool lifeguard, so i had to trek back to reception).
Review 39:Very good buffet breakfast. Walk down to beach across the road (though a disappointing beach - you need beach shoes for walking out to swim). Possible to walk to the old town for dinner.
Review 40:The hotel is a little removed from town, but not bad. You must wear abathing cap in the pool?! We didn't use the pool but if you do,take a bathing cap with you as I've heard they charge quite a bitto buy one.
Review 41:Our room was very nice - not really fancy but adequate and with a greatview from the balconies. There is a restaurant with a great selectionfor breakfast and reasonably priced buffet dinners. There was even afire show one night while we were there. There is also a game room forkids and access to the (rocky) beach across from the hotel with greatviews back to the town of Castelsardo.
Review 42:Could send you image of view outside balcony and window. Basically a cliff face within touching distance. Didn't cause an issue but was a bit of a joke.
Review 43:Location was good
Review 44:I thought having to wear a swimming cap in the pool was just ridiculous and have never had to do this in another hotel before.
Review 45:Clean, large rooms. A good range of foods for breakfast, lovely views and a good location with in walking distance of the town.
Review 46:Ridiculous arrangement with booking of breakfast tables. Causing nice window seats to be left unused for hours.
Review 47:Very good and cosy feel to the hotel. Partly because of the great staff, helpfull and with a good sence of humor. Good arrangements with music and shows.
Review 48:They suggested the nearest pizzeria where the food was really disgusting.
Review 49:Lovely room with a terrace and seaview. Breakfast was really a nice experience.
Review 50:-we had hundreds of ants in our car when we parked our car at sandy parkinglot across the hotel -pool closes i think between 12h-14h
Review 51:-upgrade to seaview room -breakfast very good (lots of choice) -view of the castle -sunday happy hour (free drinks and appetizers) -good animation -1km of restaurants uphill
Review 52:The worst minus is that we found ants in our room the last day we stayed. Wifi was weak only good in reception. Very noisy if you are not participating in the hotel events and if you do you can find it more of a plus.
Review 53:Breakfast was really good and rich. Staff was kind
Review 54:In our suite, the double bed was fine but the single was very narrow! It was an armchair sofa bed and pretty awkward to sleep on. The three of us ended up sleeping on the double bed. The shower was fine but didn't drain very well so you had to keep turning the shower off so that you didn't get water everywhere! Also the restaurant had a lovely view but had a pretty confusing menu (even though there was an English translation), I wasn't sure of what I was eating but the waiter ensured there was no alcohol or meat in the dishes.
Review 55:Communication with the hotel was great mostly, some staff didn't speak English so things were confusing at times. They organised the transfers for us, explained excursions and even kept a little breakfast for us as our flight was early and would not have been able to use the buffet.
Review 56:Swimming pool requires swimming cap (as a must). If you looking for adult hotel with silent atmosphere you should not choose this hotel :) you can hear what people are singing in the shower in the next room :)
Review 57:Very good family hotel (if you are traveling with kids). Hotel has animation team, private small beach. 10 mins to city center (walk). Perfect view to the village and castle.
Review 58:Really noisy. Children blowing whistles in the corridorrs well into the night and early in the morning (5am!) as they left the hotel I guess. Dont know if the walls are thin or just our neighbours were noisy but lots of thumping from upstairs plus a horrendous screeching tap. Could here people in next room talking at 7am as if they were in our room.
Review 59:The rooms were big and airy and felt really nice and clean as did the rest of the hotel. It was good to have a swimming pool even if you were made to purchase swim hats to be allowed in! Pool side entertainment laid on for visitors - not really our thing but didnt feel forced to join in too much. The bus to the beach was a good service too.
Review 60:This is one of those hotels that feel that they won't make enough money unless they charge you all sorts of hidden costs, such the absurd obligatory swimming cap at 3 Euros when you've already been forced to pay 4 obligatory Euros for the use of the swimming pool and have paid way too much for your hotel room. Very annoying. The staff do their best though, given the impossible situation.
Review 61:Good location within walking distance of Castelsardo, food was fine but nothing special. Breakfast acceptable in view of the price range.
Review 62:Very poor wifi
Review 63:For sandy beach you should drive minimum 5 km.
Review 64:Good location, tasty food, friendly staff.
Review 65:no lunch available.
Review 66:Big room.
Review 67:Staff very friendly
Review 68:Steps in hotel
Review 69:Citadel wandering
Review 70:Wifi not available in rooms and temperamental. Balcony faced a wall of rock about half a metre away!
Review 71:Swimming pool and friendly waiting staff.
Review 72:Wifi, only reception.
Review 73:Staff very kindly
Review 74:Wifi only in reception
Review 75:Fabulous pool. Amazing view , great staff
Review 76:20 euro deposit for a beach towel was a bit much, lots of steps no access to beach due to maintenance works
Review 77:Friendly staff, clean
Review 78:Friendly staff, location overlooking the sea and Castel Sardo.
Review 79:Helpfull staff, helped a lot with recomending wher to go and what to visit. room was very nice, no complains, beatiful view from balcony to sea.
Review 80:no tea making facilities in the room
Review 81:location cleanliness helpful staff quality for money rooms were quite spacious
Review 82:Having to wear a hat in the pool.
Review 83:Location, staff, bar, pool, views.
Review 84:a solid hotel
Review 85:booking.com confirmed booking of a sea view terrace was not available when i arrived 30 min after making online booking
Review 86:Poor internet connectivity.
Review 87:Very good breakfast. Nice evening entertainment. Very nice room with sea views. Good price-quality.
Review 88:no internet in the rooms
Review 89:good breakfast!private beach is nice
Review 90:- beach in front of hotel is not so nice - slippery on the beach, be careful - WiFi only in lobby - club fee of 4 Euro per person and day, although if you do not use the pool, shuttle to beach or beach in front of hotel
Review 91:- close to the city - shuttle to a beach not in front of hotel - rooms with sea view are big and nice (ask for one to the left with view over the pool and onto the old city)
Review 92:The bathroom was not so nice: big room but small and old equipments.
Review 93:Take a sea view room and you will understand how great is that hotel. Not only can you enjoy the close view over the sea that you can also a view over the old city. The staff is also very friendly and helpful!
Review 94:hluk ze sousedního pokoje
Review 95:Výborná poloha v blízkosti historického centra, vlastní pláž, velmi příjemný personál, bazén, výhled na moře, stylově zařízené pokoje, bohatá snídaně, velmi dobrá cena
Review 96:Breakfast was extensive, great service during breakfast, but the eggs were not well prepared.
Review 97:We booked a room in the May, low season, therefore we got an upgrade to a room with seaview. The view was absolutely stunning, great view on the city and beach. The staff mastered a great amount of languages on a high level. We were looking for an Agriturismo near Castelsardo to have dinner, all the staffmembers helped us trying to find an agriturismo,a really helpfull staff.
Review 98:Very unfriendly staff Very expensive for the little comfort offered Poor breakfast 18th century wearing of bathing caps No access to sea/swimming for little children No sea view contrary to what is shown in leaflet Waste of money Unreliable management, cheating on clients
Review 99:This hotel can really not be recommended
Review 100:The hotel staff was pretty uninformative and obviously had not read the handbook of manners e.g. they missed to inform their guests about the (only) ONE big feast in Castelsardo where all main streets were closed to traffic until 2 o´clock in the morning. Furthermore our check-out were that much beyond their's depth that they forgot to say anything like goodbye. It is compulsory to pay 4 Euro/d for an external event management (Mini-Club etc.)and the costs are not included within the hotel price. The so-called beach has a capacity of approximately 10 people and the current does not allow taking a bath.
Review 101:The hotel was situated centrally - the old part of the city could be reached within 10 minutes. The area around the hotel obtained enough parking spots which was quite comfortable because you definitely need a car!!
Review 102:Swimming in the pool is possible only with the swimming cap, which of course you have to buy at the hotel - it costs 4 eur. It's not expensive but it is annoying, because it's so obvious that they charge you just because they can plus you actually have to wear the ridiculous cap while swimming in the pool. The beach is useless for swimming, because it has really shallow water with a slippery rocks which makes it impossible to walk on it without shoes. We only stayed for one night but we have noticed a hotel van and it looked like they organize a transfer to another beach- ask at the reception.
Review 103:The room was nice and clean and the hotel has its own beach and the pool from which you have a beautiful view of the sea and the town Castelsardo. Free parking is available infornt od the hotel. The breakfast was really good (large variety of food).
Review 104:Can't think of anything... This was exactly what we were looking for from a holiday. Thank you!!
Review 105:Our stay at hotel pedraladda was incredible!! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so comfortable, especially the entertainment staff (Andrea, Chicho, Cristina and Rosalba) for making my partner and I feel so at home and incredibly welcome throughout our stay, as well as providing fantastic entertainment/activities for all :-). Room was absolutely stunning with the most incredible view. Area was enchanting and local people so kind and friendly. This is a perfect hotel/area for a relaxing, peaceful holiday (which is what we were looking for), however if you want more activity it is best to rent a car in order to explore the island. We both had a magnificent holiday at a beautiful location in a wonderful hotel. Would highly recommend it :-).
Review 106:There were a lot of rules! We weren't allowed to swim in the pool between 12.30 and 4.00pm because there would be no lifeguard on duty. The lifeguard, when present, patrolled the pool area doing nothing except discouraging people from using the pool by insisting they wore a swim hat!! It seemed bizarre to us that they had missed out on a money-making opportunity - we would have happily sat by the pool all day buying drinks and ice creams from the "lifeguard" if he could sell them out of his little booth - however, if we wanted a drink we had to go and ask at reception!! Wifi was limited to the lobby area only. Breakfast was disappointing and we stopped bothering after a few days.
Review 107:The hotel is in easy walking distance of Castelsardo old town. The view from the hotel looking out over the sea and towards the castle is stunning. The pool area gets the sun all of the day and is lovely and relaxing. The town, the view and the pool area are the key selling points of this hotel. Also, because we went before the start of the season (beginning of June) it was nice and peaceful as there was no "entertainment". However, the flip side of this was that we couldn't even buy a drink from the hotel bar as it had such limited opening hours...
Review 108:Although the rooms were lovely and very clean, it was also very easy to hear people in the rooms next to us. When they were up we were up!
Review 109:The pool was lovely. Its only a 10 minute walk to town and a little (steep) bit further to the old town. It seemed great for kids as they have a mini club to entertain and a beach shuttle to the bigger beach nearby.
Review 110:The hotel pool was closed from 12.30 - 16.00 every day which was a bitstrange as this is when we would have liked to use it most! Also we hadto pay four euros each a day extra in order to use things like the pooland shuttle bus to the sandy beach so the fact that it was closed for solong was a bit of a drawback.
Review 111:I was really impressed with the location and price of this hotel. Theroom we were given had an excellent view of the sea and we had a privatebalcony which was a surprise as I believe some of them are shared. Thestaff were friendly and really helpful on they most part. The hotel isquite big and there was so much space. There was always an available sunbed even though we went at peak times during August.
Review 112:Appearantly they have reduced the breakfast in terms of variety. Nevertheless it's a good deal for the money.
Review 113:Friendly staff and an excellent deal for the price given the season and Sardinia. As they have an old and a new wing it varies what kind of room you get. I asked them to change my room and was upgraded free of charge. Has been the third stay for us and I can recommend the hotel.
Review 114:Unfriendly staff, terrible breakfast, possibly designed a bit more foryoung families looking for a cheap package holiday!!
Review 115:Good location and good price
Review 116:They have these club cards which are mandatory and cost like 4euro per person per day... we stayed there only 2days and had too many things planned so didn't spent any time extra in the hotel so didn't really get anything in return for that price... if you are on a budget holiday that does add to your cost. I suppose if I was spending more time in the hotel by the pool or in the evening (if my baby didn't have a bed time at 7pm) it would be worth it however in my situation it was a waste of money....
Review 117:The room was big enough even though the view was at the next building's wall :) but only coming to the room to sleep, it was ok... there was a good selection of food for breakfast
Review 118:.Food not very good. Flys crawling over food found this disgusting. To many stairs especially if you have young children or mobility problems.Carrying pram up and down was a problem as well as suitcases.Kept running out of beer , ham, tuna.
Review 119:Very quiet and relaxing. Staff friendly especially lucia always chatty and a pleasant young lady to watch......
Review 120:Staff were nice and very helpfull but a busy receiption and often a long wait to speak to a receiptionist. Not enough signs showing where all the bedrooms are.
Review 121:Nice pool, good views and own bar.
Review 122:Our balcony was dirty and the pool area and sun terrace were quiteboring and rather dirty.
Review 123:Nice and friendly hotel staff. Spacy ok rooms, but you definitly need toask (pay) for seaview.
Review 124:Excellent view, spacious room
Review 125:Hidden charges for beach access whether you used these or not. The cost was Euro 4 per person per day.
Review 126:Location. Views
Review 127:Amazing views and great value for the price
Review 128:Good location, colse to sea. Stuff was realy great and helpful, spoke in many languages. Thanks! About an hour drive to Alghero Airport.
Review 129:Hotel's private beach is stony.
Review 130:Nice sea view
Review 131:Good location on the sea coast with castle view, nice rooms, helpful staff and great breakfast.
Review 132:Everything perfect :-)
Review 133:very pure cleanness dysfunctional fridge
Review 134:nice view on the castle from the terrace
Review 135:nice views
