Reviews for Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort
Review 1:Cleaning of rooms could have been more thorough, eg cleaning or replacing used tea cups each day, providing adequate loo roll and shower gel. Outdoor pool should have been heated in autumn as weather was nice enough to use it but the pool was too cold.
Review 2:Friendly staff. Nice complex. Lovely spa and massage.
Review 3:It's not really in Bardolino. The food served at the hotel is overpriced and average at best.
Review 4:Super pool area, free bikes, good spa. Nice location right next to the lake.
Review 5:Not enough plugs in rooms to charge phones, i-pads etc.
Review 6:From Christina & Elena at reception to Armando in restaurant to Paola in bar, all excellent! Facilities are all of a very high standard and outside areas very well kept.
Review 7:The restaurant is very expensive.
Review 8:Spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Fantastic and friendly Staff, excellent service. Wlan worked well, even at the poolside. Very close to the waterside and the Promenade. Airport within easy reach car or bus.
Review 9:Staff tend to be curt and unfriendly and although this seems on par with other restaurant / bar experiences in the area, I would expect more friendliness from the staff in a four star hotel. The outdoor pool was freezing during our stay (early Sept) even though we had lovely hot days.. Shame as it looked gorgeous, but just couldn't brave the chill to use it.
Review 10:Lovely, gardens and seating areas to relax and read in. Comfortable, clean rooms and nice views of the lake from upper storey rooms.
Review 11:although we requested for two rooms next to each other (or close), and even the Hotel called to confirm after Reservation, it didn't happen at all at the check-in. (the Reservation was more than 2 months before...)The room was very poor for the price.
Review 12:how it has outside pool and inside pool.
Review 13:Funny really, there were no "round" plugs in view (although I found one in a cupboard that the TV was plugged into)....so difficult to charge my computer. Even stranger because the kettle in the room also had a round plug on it and so it could not even be used (unless you hide it behind the tv in the cupboard)......not a problem.....just odd
Review 14:Fabulous hotel, excellent staff.......get all the small things right! Would recommend and will stay there if we return to Garda
Review 15:Although the rooms are nice and great if you are a couple but as a family really not enough space, on arrival we where told we had a free upgrade which pleased us, however on entering a very small, oppressive ( 3 bed room) overlooking some houses realised this was in no way an "upgrade" and most definitely was not worth the money we had paid, requested a room change, they where very obliging and changed us to a significantly better room overlooking the lake and pool but at an extra cost, we paid this as there was no way we would have enjoyed the stay in the original room.
Review 16:This hotel is located brilliantly and the shuttle bus they provide is so useful, it is clean and tidy and appears to be incredibly safe, you can walk to the lake in two minutes and enjoy being close to many towns, the breakfast included is a buffet style and even offers a glass of proseco to start your day.
Review 17:the wifi didn't work, the stuff didnt answer phone ..
Review 18:very good location, nice stuff, the family suite eas very big wnd comfortable, many pools, very good hotel
Review 19:rooms are not 4 star quality and bathrooms are ceramic tile floor and formica type counter, no granite or marble. Rooms are large but disappointing compared to other 4 star hotels.
Review 20:there is a lovely view at of the lake at breakfast and several great swimming pools.
Review 21:The wifi wasn't the greatest.
Review 22:Loved just about everything. The staff were extremely helpful and everything was provided. Had room service which was excellent. It was birthday & they gave me a lovely bottle of Prosecco. Used the Spa facility & booked a massage each. Breakfast was excellent. Huge bed & very comfortable.
Review 23:Very little to dislike. However, you couldn't really fit two chairs on our tiny balcony!
Review 24:Great swimming pool complex with plenty of loungers and attractive gardens. Excellent breakfast with lovely views towards the lake from the Augustus restaurant terrace. Friendly, helpful staff particularly at Reception. Bathrobes, flip flops, pool bag all provided.
Review 25:The atmosphere for dinner was bland. Food average. I would not recommend dinner here. Go into town. Also, some of the staff weren't very friendly at reception.
Review 26:Loved the many pools to choose from and although the hotel was fully booked there was enough room for everyone without an overcrowded feel.
Review 27:Free WIFI was poor at best bordering non existant. Despite sunshine the outside pool was very cold. (Although it was late April)
Review 28:Location was ideal as very short picturesque walk along the lake to the town of Bardolino. Stunning well kept and manicured grounds. Robes, towels, slippers, pool bag all inclusive. Plenty of sunbeds, quiet areas etc Free secure parking.
Review 29:Dining/breakfast room partitioned but had feel of a works canteen. Not enough tables/staff at breakfast. Broken coffee machine for 3 days no sign to alert guests that they had to ask for drinks. Main problem with hotel is the lack of focus. Is it a spa hotel, a facility for touring sports teams (all 3 groups were well behaved) a kindergarten (well behaved children but lots of them) or a conference hotel (at least 4 groups in 3 days)? If our stay was intended to be a quiet stay for R and R we would have been really disappointed but as a base for touring it is fine.
Review 30:Upgraded room, indoor pool and location. Staff on reception were a delight.
Review 31:- Mediocre a la carte restaurant suggesting it was much more than that - painful checkout (30 minute wait) - incorrect billing - just about everyone checking out was complaining about "inadvertent" add ons to the bill -
Review 32:Proximity to the lake
Review 33:They drop the price of the hotel room 6 days before you book but you are disenfranchised as you must pay a deposit which "ironically" is the difference in the new, lower price vs. what you paid earlier. Recommendation: if you are flexible, take a small risk and wait until 6 days before your visit to book a room and save yourself some cash.
Review 34:Awesome pools/spa-like feel. Fabulous breakfast. Coming back again and again and again!
Review 35:We could only use wifi if we sat next to the bedroom door and then it was very poor. You could not skype which was very important to me. Only 1 or 2 english tv channels avaiable. Would have preferred to be closer to Bardolino centre. Sometime noisy early inthe morning st the pool busy with excersise class.
Review 36:Mini bus available into Bardolini. There are 3 places to eat breKfast. One on a balcony looking over the river, a main room indoors but it felt like a cafe but great for young children and babies, next door to this a more upmarket restaurant style tables. You can make your oen bucks fizz every morning.
Review 37:No clean dry pool towels available at poolside. Leave in room for replacement. Miserable but large room - not very comfortable with a tiny claustrophobic patio outside. Air conditioning not very expensive. On busy road and late across this road.
Review 38:Outdoor pools and near Lakeside walk
Review 39:The distance from Bardolino it was a little far to walk if you stayed out late and it was hard to find taxis late at night
Review 40:I loved the pools The Beauty and Ayurveda centre I had 2 amazing massages. The staff they were so nice and helpful they went above and beyond I really felt they appreciated my custom there was loads of little extra touches like getting to wear you bathrobe to the pool and providing a bag to carry your towel in it just felt so luxurious from start to finish. They gave me a bottle of wine and did up the room for my birthday it was such a lovely surprise to get and then we got another bottle of wine when we were leaving. The food there was a really good breakfast and we went for dinner one night in the restaurant it was a excellent meal and very good value I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back
Review 41:Some local road noise at the balcony of room, in Augustus building. (Not a problem in the room, however.)
Review 42:Excellent service. Large pool area in a luxurious garden. Beautiful lake views from the Augustus breakfast restaurant-terrace. One of the best breakfasts I have encountered in the Lake Garda region hotels. - Overall very high standard.
Review 43:Breakfasts were a little disappointing when compared to the standard of the evening meals.
Review 44:Staff were excellent. Very helpful and professional. Evening meals were superb. Large pool with plenty of sunbeds.
Review 45:First contact at reception, a bit arrogant. But later the reception staff was great
Review 46:Location perfect Shuttle service to parking garage: great! Nice staff in restaurant Food
Review 47:Nothing
Review 48:The restaurant was lovely, the spa and the rooms.
Review 49:Terrible food at the pool bar
Review 50:Location,
Review 51:Poor lunch and dinner, nice breakfast though
Review 52:Nice hotel, good pool, friendly staff, good spa
Review 53:Front desk - resolved problems
Review 54:Great rooms, service, pool and surroundings
Review 55:Limited wifi in the room.
Review 56:The spa was top notch and restaurant was wonderful. Very accommodating for a family with a small child.
Review 57:Very poor internet, staff sometimes not flexible and service minded
Review 58:Good pool and restaurant
Review 59:Nothing!
Review 60:The facilities were excellent, the spa excellent. Room very clean. Cannot fault!
Review 61:Poor wifi
Review 62:Hotel staff helpful & friendly. Good breakfast. Good location
Review 63:Everything as it was expected for a four Star hotel.
Review 64:Wi Fi simply did not work. Useless
Review 65:Facilities Return vista and still happy Proximity to Bardolini
Review 66:Ayurvedic center, excellent Stefano!
Review 67:Beautiful place on magnificent lake
Review 68:Breakfast Old fashion design of rooms
Review 69:Location, staff, pool and therma facilities
Review 70:The staff were ill informed about things and gave wrong information
Review 71:The thermal pool great Shuttle bus service good, breakfast nice
Review 72:Wifi was a bit slow. Thermal baths were at times more like a children's playground.
Review 73:Calm, peaceful gardens with lots of herbal plants and lap pool, as well as splash pools and whirlpools. There were also chaises set up around the property so you can relax in the garden but not necessarily be sitting around only the pool. Staff was very friendly and always with a smile. Parking garage was also very convenient. There were a huge array of spas services to choose from, as well as availability for scheduling appointments.
Review 74:Staff in beauty centre a little less professional when compared with hotel staff. Had zero English so difficult to communicate. Google translate a must !
Review 75:Ambience perfect for weekend of relaxation and pampering . Good choice for breakfast and central location for surrounding towns
Review 76:Great place to really relax. Good staff, facilities pretty near perfect. I usually come here with my wife, but it was also good for a brief vacation alone. Oh and hats off to the kitchen staff. You don't have to look for a really good Italian ristorante, they have one in house here.
Review 77:Choice of food for Breakfast was not very impressive and some products were not tasty ( for example fruits), so breakfast could be improved. Would be nice if miniclub worked from the morning.
Review 78:We liked SPA and massage services, room was spacious, it was also silent even with open window, very good and very large bed, good garage, staff was attentive and friendly, good free wifi, availability of the miniclub
Review 79:The carpet dust caused allergic.
Review 80:The spa, swimming pool, sauna was very huge and good. And breakfast was delicious. Also they gave to upgrade to suiteroom.
Review 81:No negatives
Review 82:Wonderful staff, welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Room and bathroom very spacious and clean. Very comfortable. Indoor pool great. Gardens lovely. Access to boardwalk to Bardolino good. All meals were excellent. Wait staff friendly and helpful.
Review 83:Our stay was flawless! :-)
Review 84:This is our 2nd time staying here and it was as brilliant as the first stay. Excellent pools and spa areas, fabulously massive rooms, gourmet breakfast and a flawless location. Gimme more!
Review 85:From the ,moment we arrived, we received a very warm welcome from Valentina on reception and throughout all of our stay, the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The gardens and pool are were stunning, and we especially liked the Jacuzzis in the swimming pools. There is a lovely boardwalk along the lake and Bardolino is very pretty. All in all we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it.
Review 86:Quite some struggle with the internet in the room. Wireless was often not working that well.
Review 87:Truely a very nice hotel. Not too big, nice rooms with good balcony. Hotel has excellent facilities. Swimming pools with all whirlpool is probably one of the best ever experienced. Great quality of Food in restaurants.
Review 88:You really should arrive by your own car. Getting a taxi at the Peschiera del Garda railway station can be difficult.
Review 89:Absolutely beautiful place. Large swimming pool, and gorgeous garden. Complimentary massage crowned the relaxing experience. My wife appreciated the daily water-gymnastics session in the pool. Rich buffet breakfast. One of the best I have encountered in the Lake Garda region hotels, if not the best. Very polite staff too. Seemed to be lots of young people learning the trade. We got great help with the taxi on our return trip (from Bardolino to Peschiera railway station) from the Hotel receptionist.
Review 90:I would like to suggest that the larger shuffle bus carries a small footstall to assist older guests getting out .I put this to the drivers and other older guests agreed with me.
Review 91:The staff attitude was excellent. After changing my room I was closer to everything which I appreciated. The facility to call for a shuttle is helpful. It is not always possible to organise one's day according to the shuttle times.
Review 92:Bar " under renovation" , night recreation or entertainment.........
Review 93:Spa, breakfast, room, lobby, gardens, shuttle bus to downtown, free shuttle to and from Airport and/or train station, TV and entertainment, free internet.......
Review 94:The reception was not very efficient it took 30 min to check out. You should book wellness treatments in advance, to be sure to they have time for you
Review 95:Great location, close to Bardolino and directly at Lake Garda, really nice hotel with good food and big rooms. The pools where great, the hotels was working well for kids, without it becoming to much - plenty of space for all groups.
Review 96:The room in the annex smelled stuffy and humid.
Review 97:Location and the spa
Review 98:everything was very good
