Reviews for Villa Cordevigo Wine Relais

Review 1:Night staff wasn't able to retrieve the booking made through booking.com, morning staff wasn't extremely friendly. All was eventually solved.

Review 2:Premium location, wonderful property. During prime season it can be a location for wedding and events, out of season it is a nice location for a romantic escape.

Review 3:The rooms are not very well sound proofed.

Review 4:Beutiful location and scenery, great spa, amazing dining experience! Clean and spacious rooms with nice view to the garden. We loved it!

Review 5:Would have been nice to have Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. As with many hotels-drinks & lunch prices were high.

Review 6:The rooms were very comfortable, staff were friendly & the spa relaxing. Amazing grounds & views. We attended a wedding- simply stunning.

Review 7:This is a beautiful place but it's tranquility and luxurioussurroundings were destroyed through our two night stay by parents ofyoung children who allowed them to :1. Scream and run about during dinner in the Bistro. 2. Shout a running commentary to their parents from the pool for hours on end and shout responses back.

Review 8:Loved the gardens and luxurious furnishings and decoration. The ownerscertainly have good taste. Food in the Michelin Star restaurant

Review 9:There is a one star Michelin restaurant and a bistrot. It is a pity that they are not serving cheaper dishes in the bistrot. The only option to eat at the property is at the high end (both quality and price).

Review 10:Beautiful hotel with great comfort.

Review 11:There is nothing not to like!!!

Review 12:The staff are exceptional, as is the attention to detail. Food was excellent, both in the bistro and the restaurant. Will stay here again

Review 13:If we have to have one criticism, the mattress in our first room (we moved around Italy and stayed in Cordevigo three times in three different rooms over a two week period) was a bit saddle backed - you both rolled towards the middle - and needed to be replaced. A common fault with many hotels who always leave things like this for a year too long. But that is almost finding fault for the sake of it as the other two rooms were fine.

Review 14:From the first view of the property as we approached to the last sight in the rear view mirror as we left we were simply enchanted by Cordevigo. The rooms were enormous, the staff were irreplaceable, the breakfasts were unsurpassable. Everything about Cordevigo was a hit. We travel a lot and we are rather choosy about the reviews we write - but this was one of our best experiences of the last fourteen or fifteen years, which equates to more than 1,000 room nights of hotel living.

Review 15:bar prices is on the higher end.

Review 16:the suite is so special, loved the two shower hads in the shower and the decoration of the room, feels like you staying in a palace. the decor of the other parts of the villa make you feel like you went back in time 200 years (in a good way) and you are staying as a honerd guest in a villa. loved the gardans, we went for a walk with a glass of wine in the tranquil gardens of this beutiful estate. the swiming pool area is nice. breakfast was nice. the staff are always looking to help in every way. they made us feel welcomed. we would love to stay more than one night, but we will come back for sure. probably our best hotel expirience in italy the room was very clean and inviting. internet was free and good, bed was big and comfortable.

Review 17:Did not like the overly stuffiness of the restaurant Oseleta with it's Michelin star. lighten up a bit. have another option for dinner

Review 18:free bikes, pretty surroundings nice spa

Review 19:Had very high expectations... And was not let down on any from. The room was perfect, the buildings and the interiors were pure rustic glamour. The restaurant was lovely and the food exceptional.

Review 20:Det var få besøkende når vi bodde der, så derfor var det stille og rolig. Men det var veldig lytt. Vi kunne høre lyder fra naborommet som ikke var ok. Enkel frokost.

Review 21:Beliggenhet og nydelig sted.

Review 22:When I arrived there was an event where the Estate's Villabella wines were reached together with local specialties, such as risotto, pasta, cheeses, meats, prosicuto, etc.

Review 23:all this comes at a pretty hefty price

Review 24:magnificent building, great outside pool, excellent modern wellness facility, great restaurant and breakfast other reviewers note the freeway as a minus ... it did not disturb us and provides for easy access

Review 25:Was really looking forward to our stay after reading the reviews. But, the noise of the dual carriage way whenever outside, breakfast wasn't as good as expected considering price, windows in rooms low and tiny so limited light (even when lights on) for half the room. Walls so thin we were woken by baby next door at 3am. Told the desk re. Screaming at 7pm and asked for another room and were told there was only luxury suite available (we were in a double) and that we should call if the screaming wakes us up. All very well and good but when we were up at 3am we didn't then want to start packing our bags and not sleeping at all - we would rather have done it at 7pm, when we knew being woken was inevitable. It is supposed to be a spa break and this combined with the traffic noise wasn't worth the money. P.s. The general spa facilities only open late and close early.

Review 26:Decor, the wooded courtyard, the very lovely wine manager, the pool area, great bathroom.

Review 27:Service is not top of class (half of them obviously inexperienced) We had a room at the back with only a small window up in the wall The surroundings are nice but there's a highway running through the front garden

Review 28:Good looking, clean. Very good restaurant

Review 29:Happy with everything and enjoyed our stay. Our attic room was a bit dark & on the small size but it's an old house! Housekeeping was a little under 5 star but I didn't mind not having the Trussardi toiletries replaced as I disliked the masculine scent of them. Will return- with my own shower gels...

Review 30:Liked the location, loved the wine and the someliers had very interesting knowledge. Food was very good. Just an all round relaxing place to be, with the character of a grand villa.

Review 31:- personnel/staff is behaving unacceptable, but therefore consistingly, unfriendly; few exmples: - one of the ladies wearing glasses on the reception is not helping the hotel's guests very much by her behaviour, - not to mention the "chief of the restaurant" as we called him - the gentlemen running around the pool and parking lot (der Hausdiener) - and we were not the only guests complaining about this!) - motorway is passing by, but not really disturbing

Review 32:- fabulously renovated hotel, beautiful rooms, good restaurant and very nice swimming pool - location is fantastic: swimming pool next to the wine yards and park, great view

Review 33:Lack of staff -especially during evening dinner and at bar but possibly due to time of year

Review 34:Location and scenery were superb

Review 35:Pure luxury and great Michelin restaurant....just a different place to be to get away and relax. Staff very attentive!

Review 36:Booking said king bed we had queen when questioned I was told all the same ,so confirmation should not say that

Review 37:Paradise inside a vineyard

Review 38:breakfast

Review 39:great selection of homemade wine great restaurants (bistro and one star Michelin) perfect location great facilities (pool, etc)

Review 40:dress-code not very nice

Review 41:Lovely place and surroundings, so quiet and very beautifull . Yet close to Garda lake, Verona to shop etc

Review 42:Staff very helpful

Review 43:Oseletas since 2010 Tasting menu with wine package was unbelievable.

Review 44:The location and the excellent Restaurant

Review 45:A truly beautiful hotel with no attention to detail spared. Beautiful setting, great food and staff who always go that extra mile. An absolute gem.

Review 46:The restaurant was closed on the Monday

Review 47:Great service great food great rooms easy access to the highway on the whole a wonderful experience

Review 48:We felt special since we arrived! Wonderful views, and service.

Review 49:Isolated location Thin walks meant both nights were heavily disrupted by screaming child next door

Review 50:Nice views of vineyard Nice quality room Pool

Review 51:Pets and dogs allowed

Review 52:Very nice place to stay; absolutly recommendable; restaurant, park, pool, spa fabulous; staff friendly and very obliging,....

Review 53:Our Initial welcome from one member of staff at reception was authoritive, cold and unfriendly .....all other staff were wonderful

Review 54:Food was incredible Ambiance and location superb Staff professional and friendly

Review 55:Everything was amazing from start to finish. The staff were so nice and helpful and just could not do enough for us. The food and wine was exceptional, we even got a tour around their own winery.

Review 56:Nothing really to complain about. Like other reviewers, our toiletries weren't replenished (particularly noticeable as they were Trussardi!). Another choice of restaurant in the hotel would also be a good idea, but the hotel is only 10 minutes drive from Bardolino so it wouldn't put me off returning.

Review 57:This hotel is special! Staff were friendly and attentive, there was plenty of choice at breakfast, the pool area was lovely (and tranquil at this time of year). We also ate in Oseleta and it was exceptional (go with an empty stomach!). Ask for a room overlooking the beautiful garden. Also definitely worth having a treatment at the Essentia spa - it was heaven!

Review 58:A bit stiff feeling! Osoleta restaurant, a bit to expensive

Review 59:Lovely Hotel in good location Atmosphere and surrounding Wine tasting Rooms Breakfast Bicycles Easy to park Best place ever stayed

Review 60:Nothing, a perfect place to stay Small considerations: restaurant is trying their best, service certainly Michelin Star. For the food they tried to much. For the hotel guests some classical Italian meals with the local wine on the menu would be much appreciated. In our rooms they forgot to change te beds sheets and supply us with shampoo en shower gel. But like I said the hotel and service made everything perfect.

Review 61:Everything was perfect Good location for city trips to verona, bergamo and even Venice

Review 62:Perfect place - no place for any complaints.

Review 63:A very beautiful old renovated villa in the middle of vineyards in the countryside. Excellent gourmet restaurant (breakfast & optional dinner). Fantastic jacuzzi & spa. Very helpful professional staff. A true 5 stars facility. No doubt - the best place I have ever stayed in. Heaven! We plan to visit again - for sure.

Review 64:Even though I hadGPS I had a bit of difficulty locating the Villa, some of which was my fault. I think a good map on-line would solve such issues. Stay on SP 29 just east of the Autostrada and you will see signs on your left for it.

Review 65:Beautiful estate immaculately kept. The room was spacious and spotless. the staff was friendly, helpful and spoke English. Wifi was free and worked everywhere. The breakfast was huge and nice presented.

Review 66:We were very lucky and were upgraded to a suite as on the second night of our stay there was a function in the restaurant. The hotel is beautiful and the service exceptional. Our suite was quiet & lovely, the bed was very comfortable and there was even a choice of pillows! We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was delicious as was their own wine. Breakfast was very good too which had a wide choice of hot and cold food. We didn't use the spa but the outdoor pool looked lovely. Pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

Review 67:Absolutely stunning setting, staff couldn't be more attentive and helpful, beautiful pool to relax in/around, the restaurant serves outstanding food. We were there for a friends wedding and this was a perfect choice with a tiny chapel in the grounds and great rooms/terraces for the reception. The group had a lot of fun hiring bicycles and riding amongst the local vineyards/olive groves.

Review 68:The wonderful style and attention to detail throughout the hotel, pool and grounds, the Spa was exceptional and not to be missed. The staff were so very helpful and friendly.

Review 69:No iron available and you must request this to be done by house keeping. First room was very dark with tiny windows. Warning that the restaurant was to be closed would have been courteous for other guests staying as no room service was available either.

Review 70:Visited as part of our honeymoon and although we didn't have a great start with the restaurant being closed on our first night, due to a wedding that was right outside our bedroom you cannot fault the hotels beauty. The location is wonderful and the pool is very relaxing with a great waiter service. Loved the free apple smoothie! Great spa although the jacuzzi was a little cold. Restaurant was excellent with a fantastic choice of wines.

Review 71:The standard room is a bit expensive, especially since you only have small windows. Another (minor) point is the fact that you can see and sometimes hear the high way.

Review 72:Excellent facilities, very friendly staff, good food, beautifull building and garden and a briljant setting in the winefields.

Review 73:Having to leave.

Review 74:Everything. It was an incredible place to stay. Service was excellent - we found the staff to be exceptional, even for a 5 star. The surroundings were beautiful and very peaceful. It's very easy to access from Verona airport and is close to Garda. The food and local wine was fantastic. We will be going back.

Review 75:Tv channels were basic and reception poor. Plumbing kept making a noise . Rooms in loft very warm !

Review 76:What a beautiful hotel set in the most idyllic surroundings . We could not fault the helpful staff . Breakfast is a feast in itself , lunch is served till 4pm and great value and delicious . The restaurant is pricey but of high standard . The spa is amazing.. The rooms are beautiful and if a gugh standard . We will be returning without a doubt!

Review 77:Breakfast Ok but a bit limited. Dinner menu quite expensive and the once we eat there not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.

Review 78:Very clean and smart hotel, recently renovated to a very high standard. Room was very good and facilities exceptionally good, daily refresh of Bulgari toiletries. Staff could not do enough for you. Pool and surrounds very good. Lunch menu excellent.

Review 79:We arrived on the Friday and were told that we would have to find somewhere else to eat on the sat night as there was a wedding in the hotel! As it was 40 Euro to get to and from the closest local town Bardolino I wasn't very happy about this. I think we should have been emailed prior to our visit and as the hotel has a mini bus they could have offered to drive us (and the other non-wedding guests) to the local town and return as we really had no choice but to go out that evening....There isn't really any traditional food on the menu - it's all fine dining, would be great to have some pasta option...There isn't anywhere within walking distance to eat/drink away from the hotel and I think the taxis are expensive - 20 Euro each way to local restaurants. In saying all of that I would stay there again and recommend it!

Review 80:Paolo the Sommelier was absolutely excellent. He looked after us in the bar and was very attentive, friendly and sociable. He even managed to facilitate us watching the Wimbledon final! He really made a difference to our stay. The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast very nice. You are greeted by a golf cart to take you from the free car park (partial covered car areas available) to hotel. You get freshly made biscuits left in your room daily. We were given a free bottle of their wine to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The swimming pool is lovely and relaxing. Their wine's are lovely and very reasonable as start at 12 Euro in the bar/restaurant and only 5 Euro to buy to take away.

Review 81:That we didn't have the time to stay and enjoy it more!

Review 82:Everything! The location, the rooms, the restaurant, the food, their own wines, the breakfast, the people..the surrounding park, the wine fields, the magnificent villa itself. This is a fantastic hotel worth praising.

Review 83:People Wine Food Service Pool Nature Bikes Proximity of the lake and Verona

Review 84:There were a lot bees and bugs in the room

Review 85:The seating possibility was very bad in our room.

Review 86:Dinner in the restaurant whith wine tasting was very good.
