Reviews for Casey's Hotel

Review 1:The only downside was that we couldn't get a room key each. Since we were both attending different events this proved very annoying.

Review 2:Staff were friendly and helpful, food was lovely and overall atmosphere fantastic

Review 3:Friendly welcome, comfortable room with updated bathroom. Great food and staff in the pub and dining room. Nature paths nearby. A relaxing, enjoyable stay.

Review 4:The breakfast. Very very poor, overdone sausages, only two slices of toast for 2 people had to ask for more on both mornings and lets the place down really.

Review 5:The location and the absolutely gorgeous room and bathroom

Review 6:The spotlight at the back overlooking the garden was on all night and inspite of blinds and curtains it was blinding at times

Review 7:Cosy hotel friendly staff relaxed athmosphere nice food reasonably priced food

Review 8:Sound insulation between bedrooms was poor. This wasn't a problem for us as we had quiet neighbours, but it could potentially be an issue.

Review 9:We were really pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It is a traditional hotel, but the rooms have been very tastefully updated. We ate in the bar, and the food was good. We would definitely stay again and would have no hesitation recommending it.

Review 10:The hotel was in a great location and the staff were wonderful and very helpful. The bar had great atmosphere and our dinner in the Bar was perfect. The property is very pretty and quaint.

Review 11:Very friendly hotel have recommended it to my family and friends. Staff very very friendly and helpful. A beautiful family run hotel. Will definitely be back next summer.

Review 12:Not as experience but wifi in my room was pot. Better in the bar .

Review 13:This iOS charming boutique hotel situated in the middle of the scenic village. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated , lovely bathroom.

Review 14:No serious complaints, though I'd have appreciated a room safe and small refrigerator in the room, and the bath towels could have been a bit bigger. They were standard size, but I like larger ones, myself.

Review 15:Basically everything. Great value for the price. Great service. Very helpful, genuinely hospitable staff. The room was very spacious, and nicely appointed.

Review 16:extremely comfortable hotel in a beautiful location.this hotel is exceptionally well run and its friendly athmosphere makes us want to return again and again.

Review 17:Some minor problems with accessing wifi

Review 18:Excellent staff, so well mannered and always helpful and cheerful. Bedroom and bathroom really spacious and spotlessly clean

Review 19:Waiting for bar table to eat when restaurant closed. Also unable to order resturant food into bar even when restaurant was open.

Review 20:Lovely bed.Best kip in 7 years!

Review 21:A lift is definitely needed, very poor Wifi reception in room....we requested a second key as we were two friends wanting to do different activities but we were rather rudely refused. TV reception awful..no aerial?

Review 22:Helpful staff, good ambiance and food. Good bathroom.

Review 23:I would recommend this hotel to anyone and stay here again myself. So just a couple of notes: No lift/elevator, this is an older property, if you have walking difficulty this might be an issue. Wifi was good in the bar but poor elsewhere. Bathroom was lovely but using the toilet was a bit of a squish.

Review 24:Very nice hotel i really liked the look of my room. The hotel was in the heart of Glengarriff. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 25:The jam with the breakfast was a disappointment, it was out of kilter with the overall quality feel. Also there was not much emphasis on breakfast options for vegetarians.

Review 26:Breakfast and welcome.

Review 27:The wifi didn't work for me in the room.

Review 28:Seems to be newly refurbished. Our room was very comfortable. Despite the bar downstairs the room we were in was very quiet and peaceful. The food in the bar was fabulous.

Review 35:Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely bar area where we enjoyed a quiet drink. Blown away by the standard of the room & en suite, more 4-5 star standard. Loved everything about this place, we'll definitely be back!

Review 36:We stayed the night with 3 young children and a guide dog. When we went going in for breakfast the next morning we were told that no dogs were allowed and we were treated like dirt. Eventually after words said we were told to eat in the bar not the dining room. We had to eat on our own, while hoovers and cleaners worked around us.

Review 48:The owner and staff were extremely helpful. We enjoyed a drink in the bar where the staff were friendly and the atmosphere convivial. Our room seemed to be very recently renovated to a high standard. Breakfast was freshly cooked, unlike bigger hotels where it can be kept warm for ages. Was really impressed by Casey's.

Review 51:Wi-Fi hopeless & has been for some time as there are printed notices in the room. This was extremely inconvenient, however this is not the hotels fault; mobile phone signal throughout the village is sporadic, & our Relatives who stayed at other hotels in the village all had Wi-Fi problems.
