Review 7:Difficulty opening windows in bedroom

Review 8:Great location along with a very friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and a nice size. We enjoyed our breakfast the following morning as well

Review 15:breakfast good and nice choice

Review 16:Pillows too hard and room could be darker for sleeping, bring an eyemask and you will be fine. I'm just sensitive to light.

Review 17:The breakfasts were wonderful, the staff friendly, the location great.

Review 18:Minimal parking out back of the hotel, but it worked out okay.

Review 19:We really enjoyed our stay in Davitt's Guesthouse. It was clean, roomy, had a very nice bathroom (with a tub!). After staying in cramped B&B rooms, it was a treat. Ate dinner here; it was good, though a bit pricey. Breakfast the next morning was a treat, offering foods that were not on the traditional Irish breakfast plate. Very good pancakes! If we ever return to Kenmare, we will definitely stay at Davitt's!

Review 20:On the downstairs floor you can get smells from the kitchen.

Review 21:Location is right in the centre of Kenmare. Fantastic breakfast. Room are spacious & comfortable

Review 22:I honestly could not say a bad thing about Davitts Guesthouse. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member. Our room was extremely spacious, large bathroom, all the facilities you would get in a hotel... We enjoyed a fab breakfast the next morning, really was delicious and quiet a varied menu for breakfast... I would definitely recommend this guesthouse and would staff there again...I wouldnt even consider staying anywhere else in Kenmare..

Review 23:The owner gave us some great advice on where to go in our exploration of the Ring of Beara. We saw some spectacular sights we wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Review 24:Nothing

Review 25:We really liked Davitts. It was a great place to stay for three nights as we embarked on the Ring of Kerry, the Beara Peninsula, and Mizen Head before leaving for Baltimore and Kinsale. Breakfast was made to order and we had dinner there and the food was delicious. Our room was large and so was the bath. And the staff was friendly and helpful. Kenmare was an excellent town to stay in and Henry Street was so convenient with really good restaurants like Packy's and Foley's. And Crowleys Pub across the street was fun too.

Review 26:I couldn't rate this hotel high enough, on every level, accommodation, food served in restaurant, breakfast and staff were outstanding particularly Mary and I think Kevin in the restaurant. Value for money also is outstanding, will stay here again if I get a chance as I suspect it will be full often. Thanks

Review 27:Room was quite cold when we got there, could have done with putting the heating on earlier in the day.

Review 28:We had dinner and breakfast at Davitts, both were really delicious.

Review 30:Wifi was spotty in the hotel.

Review 31:This was a great place to stay. It was right in the heart of Kenmare amidst shops and pubs. The hotel was very clean with nice furnishings. The restaurant downstairs from the rooms was excellent for both dinner and breakfast.

Review 32:Wi-Fi didn't work in our room, but it worked fine in the lobby.

Review 33:Our room at the back of the hotel was quite large and very quiet. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Great location in the middle of Kenmare.

Review 34:Loved absolutely everything about this B and B....Beautiful spacious room tastefully decorated, spotless clean, the most comfortable bed with great big velux windows above...The staff were so helpful they made us feel so welcome..A big thanks to Brian fir carrying our bags to our room and to Kevin for the great service at dinner and especially to Mary she was so nice at breakfast couldn't do enough for us..Will definitely be staying there again!!!!

Review 35:The room door was almost impossible to lock with the key!!!

Review 36:Perfect Location Fantastic Breakfast Beautifully furnished bedroom Huge bathroom Very quiet Very friendly relaxed staff

Review 37:Right in the heart of Kenmare, no more than a 5 minute stroll to everything. As 'mature' travellers the staircases would be troublesome but the friendliest staff provided for our luggage to be immediately transported. The outside patio tables on a beautiful sunny Irish day and enjoying a pint and a glass of wine relaxed us well for the evening meal and local entertainment

Review 38:Nothing, everything meet our expectations.

Review 39:It is right in the town with one of the best hot breakfast choice menus we experienced anywhere in Ireland. Our room on the second floor was in the back away from the street, and was spacious and very comfortable. It was perfect for our one night stay.

Review 40:Wi-fi issues in some rooms. Front desk unmanned at times so you have to yodel back into the restaurant.

Review 41:Beautiful hotel-like rooms upstairs with faux-Biedermeir furnishings and terrific quality beds and bedding. Best hot showers with tubs and water pressure in giant bathrooms. Skylight rooms do seem to get sun. Can hardly believe that so many big great rooms are upstairs in this place. Free parking behind house. Great breakfast.

Review 42:This was my second time staying at this guesthouse and I was as pleased as I was the first time. We were made really welcome. The room was really lovely and spacious and the breakfast menu was excellent.

Review 43:There was no lift which would have been a benefit for my husband but we did know that before booking.

Review 44:Location and hospitality were great. All staff extremely helpful.

Review 45:could not find location staff scarce smokers place under our unit above received smell via window no air conditioning bomb shelter block next door

Review 46:close to main street quite comfortable staff where helpfull

Review 47:The car park was small and difficult to negotiate (and we got blocked in on one occasion), also it was full on some occasions so we had to park down the town. I expect this my be a similar situation for other b&b's in the centre of Kenmare however. Having to carry our luggage up to the second floor (no lift).

Review 48:Excellent location, in the centre of Kenmare, very helpful staff, great breakfast, lovely room.

Review 49:Parking can be difficult but common to all other guesthouses in Kenmare. Small reception area

Review 50:Large bright bedrooms with good bathrooms. Cheerful and helpful owner and staff. Excellent breakfast menu with usual full Irish but also lots fruit/cereals.

Review 51:I thought 9.45am for last orders for breakfast was a little early.

Review 52:The staff were friendly and efficient. They were never to busy to have a chat. Breakfast was very good.

Review 53:nothing.

Review 54:We rented one of Davitts holiday homes in Kenmare. It is situated less than 10 mins walk from town.It has 4 double bedrooms, 3bathroom, kitchen/diner livingroom, utility and garden/patio area.It was home from home. Everything you needed on your doorstep, centra, lidl, supervalu and local grocery shops and local markets everyday. If you didnt want to cook plenty of pubs and restaurants. Davitts guesthouse itself serves excellent food and great variety for all.Plenty of activities to keep all happy and Killarney a half hour away.Great place to visit is Star of Kenmare, its 6km out of town and they offer a variety of water sports ie banana boat, kyaching, pedal boats etc, also boat trips, paint ball, archery, hiking, biking and much more.

Review 98:We were on the top floor so wifi didn't work and tv couldn't get reception. Did really bother us though so didn't really mind

Review 99:Really enjoyed our stay

Review 100:Everything, we arrived very late, were greeted warmly and made feel at home, nothing was too much trouble even at the late hour, great hospitality, thank you!

Review 101:We couldn't stay an extra night...there were no vacancies

Review 102:It was a complete package. The room we had was excellent, nice and big and the beds were great. The restaurant and bar downstairs have a great atmosphere and the food was top notch plus there was live entertainment while we had dinner. To top it off the staff, especially Mary were excellent and couldn't do enough for us.

Review 103:Parking was limited and car park not well marked...this was not clearly explained at tiime of booking.

Review 104:Location was right in the centre of town so perfect for dinner and a few drinks!

Review 105:When rained the noise on skylights very loud. Light sleepers should ask for room on first floor but these are very dark . Wifi did not work on top floor but did on floor below

Review 106:Very large room bath as well as shower. In town centre but no noise from traffic or bar

Review 107:there were a few black hairs on the bathroom floor, behind the door but really a minor thing because it was a great place for the price and I would stay again.

Review 108:this was a last minute booking ... I was not planning to stay in kenmare but that said I loved this village and davitts was great. I booked the room wrong but mary gave me the correct rate which was very reasonable for a lovely room. breakfast great, one of my favorites.

Review 109:Staff was very friendly. Large room with large bathroom (with bath). Clear. Calmly. Good restaurant on ground floor (no noise in the rooms). Great location.

Review 110:Nothing.

Review 111:Two weeks and ten different places to stay in Ireland. This was our favorite. We arrived a little late around 8 pm. Live music in the restaurant. Perfect, not too loud and pleasant. Ordered dinner while we went to a very roomy room and had a nice shower. Dinner was superb. Staff made a call to see if we could go to Skellig Michael but captain thought conditions unfavorable. Plan B..Ring of Kerry. Mary, what an awesome host. Breakfast was also the best we had in Ireland. Kenmare is a great place to launch from and Davitt's is the best place when there.

Review 112:Wifi is hit and miss in some area's of the B&B, Direction'sto the parking at the rear could be better signed(in fact no signs) onthe main street, found the parking only by accident.

Review 113:Location is excellent, close to everything and in the centre of thehustle and bustle, and great lovation for the ring of kerry, rooms cleanand comfortable with a homely feel, and great range of food forbreakfast. Rooms very clean and comfortable.

Review 114:Only thing I would say, and it's not that I minded it at all but others might not appreciate it is being called on the phone in the morning to ask if you are coming down for breakfast. Having sleep disturbed after a night out might not be ideal. But as I said, I didn't mind the unexpected wake up call.

Review 115:Really good value for money, good size rooms, central location, really helpful staff.

The Fine Print

Davitts does not accept bachelor/bachelorette parties.
