Reviews for S'Ammentu

Review 1:- no such thing.

Review 2:Magic atmosphere. Remarkable desing of the interior. Location in the heart of ancient town. Truly a place to remember - also thanks to the staff of the hotel. Unforgetable in every way.

Review 3:Airconditioning was a little to small and it was difficult to cool the room. Breakfast could be a little bit better.

Review 4:Very nice small hotel in an old house in the center of historic part of Bosa which is a beautiful place. Very nice big room on the top floor. Very nice staff. Very nice place to stay.

Review 5:There is nothing not to like. I guess the wifi not being in the rooms but you can't do anything about that being that it's four stories and an original Bosa (renovated) home.

Review 6:Pietro was a wonderful host. He was very kind to us and went over and above in his hospitality to us. We especially loved our special breakfast ;) Breakfast is in a beautiful room a couple of doors down from the B&B. Also there is a kitchen you can use to cook! We would have loved to see Pietro in action on his horse but it was the wrong time of year. Even the cleaning staff were lovely. We wish Pietro well in becoming confident with his good English! It's a great place to stay for the old town.

Review 7:- WIFI worked only in downstairs lobby area, not in the room. Also our mobile phones didn't have any reception in our room. - As the rooms were in an old building, it also meant that windows were small, rooms were dark and the staircase wasn't the easiest one to climb. But that's the price you pay for the unique atmosphere.

Review 8:- Great location in the middle of old town. - Rooms were spacious and clean and the historical atmosphere of the building was great. - Breakfast was good and served earlier by request. - Staff was very friendly

Review 9:Nothing

Review 10:Peadro was great host. If you are visiting Bosa and want a real Italian experience this is the place to stay. Coppled streets and friendly host.

Review 11:- staff did not answered to emails and calls previous to our arrival - no one was at the reception when we arrived - mismatch between telephone number provided on booking.com and the number used by staff - weird check out process through other premises

Review 12:venue and location

Review 13:If you're a bit claustrophobic, this is not the place to be. It does have a nice atmosphere though. The bathroom is a bit humid.

Review 14:Great location near the centre of Bosa. The breakfast is excellent in a beautiful decorated room.

Review 15:Only complaint is no kettle to make a cup of tea. And no wifi in rooms. But these are minor issues as overall great value for money and fab location.

Review 16:Very friendly and helpful owner. Location is right in the centre of historic Bosa. Our room was very comfortable and had air conditioning. My husband was very pleased with the access to Sky Sport. There is a nice communal area to sit in with access to basic kitchen facilities and free Wi Fi. Breakfast is served in a place down the lane. It was very good. We were able to leave our bags there until later in the day as our bus to Alghero did not leave until later in the day.

Review 17:Parking was difficult on the narrow streets. The street that the B&B was on was uneven and could have benefited from a little work.

Review 18:The traditional style of S'ammentu and the orginal features. Friendly proprieters. Bosa was a beautiful town with some gorgeous beaches nearby.

Review 19:Getting lost and making Pietro go out of his way to let us in. That's it :O)

Review 20:Pietro could not have done more to make us feel at home during our stay. Gorgeous rustic rooms in the heart of a hidden gem of a town. Breakfast was wonderful too, 'Mama S'Ammentu' as we called her cooked up a storm. Grazie Mille.

Review 21:Very hard to find a parking but this is more a city issue rather than the place itself, there was no one at the reception while we arrived so had to phone for someone to show up, phone reception is poor at the premises so you will have to find a better spot to make a call.

Review 22:Beautiful room with atmosphere in the heart of the old town, great view on the roofs of other buildings, good breakfast with variety of food served in the nearby building.

Review 23:They used a lot of fragrance, which we suspect is to hide the smell of mold / moisture.

Review 24:Very nice environment, located in an old stonehouse in the middle of Bosa. Helpful owner, although he only spoke Italian. Very good breakfast, the cappuccino is amazing! Good value for money.

Review 25:The bed was hard.

Review 26:Very charming.

Review 27:A little difficult concerning parking.

Review 28:Great location at the city center. Very nice house furnished with love. Pleasant and friendly hosts.

Review 29:It would be great to have wifi in the rooms as well.

Review 30:Very friendly hosts Central location

Review 31:Roof terrace, was an unexpected bonus, breakfast was great and staff really friendly - not to mention the locals who helped us find the place.

Review 32:NOTHING

Review 33:We like everything about the place. Close to everything. Very very clean and spacious. PIETRO and RITA were fantastic.

Review 34:location, staff, attention for details, cosy atmosphere

Review 35:Charming. friendliest staff. Antique furniture.Fabulous stay

Review 36:- the website either has a very bad design or totally lacks the relevant information like location, access routes, facilities, rooms usefull information, the existence of cooking tools available. - the location isn't a remote location, but the access ways are paved with bumpy rocks that makes the travelling with a bagage/troller a real challenge for both the guests and the people living there that had to endure the loud noise made by the luggage wheels.

Review 37:the staff was friendly and we were greeted with hospitality and the breakfast was nice with diverse range of foods. the location is in the medieval city with easy access to the surrounding site and the room was very nice decorated with style with great furniture and a wonderfull room layout.

Review 38:Superb location in midst of old town, clean & nice, welcoming and pleasent staff, inside was cool and airy although outside temperatures of 30c. Be aware, however, that english is not the common language. For the next time, we will read up on italian :-) Comes highly recommended from us! Both the town & the BB.

Review 39:We had a reservation but the place was not staffed when we arrived and though a tel number was provided, we didnt have a mobile phone on us so were a bit stuck. Thankfully two residents truned up and let us into the building where we contacted the owner...but if they had not turned up we could still have been outside today!

Review 40:Bosa is a very interesting town and the B&B is located right in the heart of the town in the old quarter. Very handy! Liked the room and facilities and breakfast was served by a very friendly lady! Thanks

Review 41:Very friendly owner. Large and nice decorated room. Very good breakfast. Free parking nearby We were treated very well by the owner and staff. We had a great time.

Review 42:This is a really cute place in the middle of Bosa old town. The manager where really nice and helpful. It's 20 min walk to the Beach and close to all restaurants. I would recommend sammetu in Bosa if you are looking for some quiet time to relax and enjoy good food And exploring the little alleys in old town. Not for party people!

Review 43:Pietro and the team were extremely friendly and the rooms were really quaint, full of character and clean. All the staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a good time, not just while we were in the hotel but also on trips out - even though we spoke no Italian. I would stay there again in a heart beat

Review 44:Loved all but if you a person who needs internet even during holiday then be ready that Internet not always available, which makes this place even more special

Review 45:Lovely small town where we stayed few nights. You would really feel real province Italian life with its food, vine, hospitality, sienery, sea and river view, little streets, traditianal builings and much more.. All hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable, even with our little Italian we managed have nice chats. Excellent location in the heart of town, lovely walk to the beach by the river, do make sure you got camera with you as views are amazing. Castle is just on the top of the hotel and again lovely views. Wish we came a bit later as you could take a vine & food testing trip near by as well organized by Pietro and do ask him try local vine, which you could do next door. Lovely simple clean rooms, which are decorated in traditional style and with test. Stone and wooden work well preserved so the view from the window into small narrow street will complete the feeling of peace and harmony. Lovely breakfast will make your morning even brighter.

Review 46:Very nice contact with the staff - Pietro & Rita. Drinking a good bottle of glorious wine Malvasia ("Domina Casta" is a must) bought from the reception. The hotel is very close to the old town entrance and allows you to go anywhere in minutes. Plus possibility to get in contact with locals

Review 47:Very nice contact with the staff - Pietro & Rita. Drinking a good bottle of glorious wine Malvasia ("Domina Casta" is a must) bought from the reception. The hotel is very close to the old town entrance and allows you to go anywhere in minutes. Plus possibility to get in contact with locals.

Review 48:Didn't like the situation in the small lane with not much outlook but it was handy to the main pedestrian walk etc. And we found the room a little dark and cave-like although we had a separate living space which was good. TV didn't work.

Review 49:We liked the breakfast and dining room. Also room to heat food and make tea/coffee. Excellent towels, sheets etc. Lift too.

Review 50:The only reason for the fair rating under comfort is that the living/dining room was so dark. It had one dingy light and because of the season there was not that much light coming in through the window. This meant that the room was really not usable for reading or eating in. And we avoid TV. By contrast the bedroom and bathroom were nice and bright because of the lighting.

Review 51:The location in the heart of old Bosa is great. Because it is in the historical center there is no vehicle access - so don't moan about that! Parking is available a shortish walk away - it might be a bit further in the peak season, but is always available. The use of the Cantina for breakfast is also great - run by the S'Ammentu owners and Anna is really friendly. It will help if you can speak just a little Italian. The building has plenty of character and is in good repair. All shops are in Walking distance - Bosa is compact after all.

Review 52:I didn't like that no one was at the time that we arrived on the door was a te. Number but no one answer so we didn't know what to do. But the place and the b.b were so good that it was forgiven

Review 53:the place was very very nice decorated, the room was very large and has special atmosphere ,it's location is 10 it is in the old - historic city but near to all

Review 54:Nothing apart from we had to phone on arrival and our UK phone did not work, but luckily someone helped us by calling for us.

Review 55:I loved the B&B as it was in an old house in the narrow medieval streets of Bosa. It was decorated well and had everything we needed. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent

Review 56:Pietro was a fantastic host. Breakfast was great, cappuccinos were the best in Sardinia. I would highly recommend this Bed and B we had a fantastic time. Rooms and bathroom were very clean and street was very quiet.

Review 57:Very nice place to stay in when you are travelling to Bosa. The manager Pietro is helpful, location is right in the old city where you can find plenty of good restaurants.

Review 58:Nice central position in Bosa. The rooms were charmy and the cellar for the breakfast was really nice and comfy. Very polite staff. Very much value for little money.

Review 59:The medieval building result in a bit damp atmosphere, air circulation could be improved.

Review 60:Location perfect for exploring Bosa. The B&B is in a really nice and romantic medieval house which inside you have the feeling in being a cave.

Review 61:The layout of the streets in Bosa made S'Ammentu difficult to find, soit is best if you have a good map. Parking is along the river and spotsare hard to find if you are not there before 20:00 hrs.

Review 62:S'Ammentu is close to shopping and restaurants, the owner/manager isvery hospitable and an excellent Italian style breakfast is servednext door.

Review 63:thin walls.

Review 64:beautiful designed rooms in sardinian style (comes close to sleeping in a museum), familiar atmosphere!

Review 65:It's a fooking lovely little place, free coffee, right in the old part of town down on a little back street. Room was amazing, massive. Perfect.
