Reviews for Palazzo Sa Pischedda
Review 1:No complaints at all, lovely experience throughout
Review 2:Location was perfect, just across the bridge from Bosa with a lovely view of the castle. Rooms were nicely laid out and spacious, and overall decor was very good quality. Centrepiece was the restaurant though, which served such good food we ate there for two nights out of three in town. Highly recommend the salt crusted cod!
Review 3:Everything!We stayed in the restored house round the corner from the hotel. It has several rooms and independent use facilities, rooftop terrace, comfortable lounging furniture, great views of the old city and castle.Despite our separate booking, the very friendly staff helpfully put our friends in the house with us. The restaurant meal was delicious and the night made more memorable by the attentive professional staff despite appearing quite young.
Review 4:Problems with water pressure and temperature; weak wifi signal, wasps outdoor at breakfast time.
Review 5:Good breakfast, excellent dinner at discount price, nice view to the old town from the balcony, very nice staff.
Review 6:Friendly helpful staff who speak excellent English, very comfortable room with the best bathroom in Sardinia! Great deal for dinner in the restaurant next door. We would have stayed another night if the room had been available.
Review 7:A great hotel - the staff were incredibly friendly and informative. A special mention needs to go to Anyelina - she couldn't have been more helpful. The restaurant next-door was superb as well. Our favourite hotel in Sardinia.
Review 8:Excellent location, lovely staff. We liked the room with the mezzanine floor. It had a lovely private terrace which was great to sit out on even though the view was to the side rather than over the river.
Review 9:Rooms smelled a bit specific when we came(moist from the old building) - but you can also view this a part of the charm - however, sorted this out quickly with air conditioner and open windows
Review 10:Superb view on Bosa from the balcony Terrace on the top Nice breakfast Good location Cleanliness Spacious accomodation
Review 11:Beautiful old building, conveniently located with splendid views of the town and surrounding countryside. Very helpful staff who recommended good restaurants in town despite running their own.
Review 12:Great location with lovely views from balcony of river, old town and castle. Nice period building well maintained. Staff really friendly and helpful
Review 13:We had a split level room, with the bedroom located upstairs; not very convenient.
Review 14:The hotel is in a very good location, across the river from the old town. There is a parking space right across the street and a supermarket nearby. The breakfast was very good, with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, salami, olives, boiled eggs and very good croissants. Their restaurant serves delicious dishes. Very friendly staff.
Review 15:No elevator and high stories. Rooms on the second floor might be difficult to get to for older people.
Review 16:We were in a beautifully renovated old house about 30 metres far from the main building. The view from the room was absolutely stunning! There is also a roof terrace where we could sit around in the evening, drinking wine and enjoying the panorama. We had a good size room with a lot of storage place. The interior design in the whole place is very nice.
Review 17:Breakfast could have been a bit better, it wasn't poor, just a few small things. It wasn't the most attentive service at breakfast, which might put some people off.
Review 18:Bosa. Wonderful town. Must see! The staff were so helpful and friendly. Angelina (spelling?) dealt with us the most and really made us feel welcome. The locaiton is great as it gave access to the marina as well as the town centre. The room was great, though we were upgraded (so to be expected).
Review 19:No complaints!
Review 20:We loved this hotel and our night in Bosa! Our balcony on the 3rd floor had amazing views of the city. The staff member who checked us in was really friendly. Our only regret is that we didn't think to reserve a table at the restaurant so we missed out on the dining experience (which this hotel is supposedly also known for). We would have liked to stay longer but the hotel was all booked (Which came as no surprise). Would definitely recommend a stop here!
Review 21:Lovely staff, knowledgeable about the area and happy to provide suggestions i.e. best beaches, dining or ideas for day trips. Room was nice and well within budget. Could have forked out an even better room for not much more.
Review 22:Internet is rather slow and gets blackouts are pretty frequent
Review 23:Location was perfect with fabulous view over the river and the old town. The personnel is courteous and well informed and the breakfast was very good.
Review 24:weirdest cramped room, dark and uncomfortable. No light in shower stall . Bed up steep stairs in a loft. uncomfortable room configuration. was expecting so much more. disappointed
Review 25:Car parking not provided. Didn't realise until arrival that we had been allocated an apartment a short distance from the hotel however this worked out well for us.
Review 26:Lovely location and great staff. The apartment overlooks the old town with great river views. Nice evening meal and breakfast in the garden of the hotel. Bosa is a great location and this hotel is well situated.
Review 27:It would have been perfect if car access across the bridge had been limited in this charming town.
Review 28:Very friendly and helpful staff. A clean and nice room with a beautiful view of Bosa.
Review 29:Parking a bit troublesome. Didn't stay long enough to eat more food. Nobody knew about the weird Sardinian villiage/festival I was seeking (not even Google helped).
Review 30:Staff were excellent, so helpful and friendly. Lovely room and balcony. Adjoining restaurant was brilliant - best seafood I have ever had.
Review 31:The only thing i was disappointed with was that there was no balcony. On looking at all the pictures online, i was under the impression we would have one, and to be honest, that was the reason we booked it. We envisioned drinking a glass of wine before dinner overlooking the river. We ended up just having a drink in the gardens which was actually very nice. I would stay there again but i would definitely call ahead and make sure i had a room with a balcony as otherwise i think the price was a little steep.
Review 32:Very nice hotel, staff were great! Breakfast was lovely. Air conditioning will save your life!
Review 33:Our room smelled like a swimming pool (chlorine) and overall we would say the value for money wasn't as good as the other places we stayed on our trip.
Review 34:Nice hotel in general! 10 minute walk to the old town in Bosa. We only stayed 1 night - Staff were friendly and gave us a takeaway breakfast for our early journey to the airport, much appreciated.
Review 35:It was a bit musty because there is some mold on the walls.
Review 36:The big dependance with rooftop is a perfect place to spend some time when visiting Bosa. The breakfast was really nice as well.
Review 37:Associated restaurant a disaster in terms of service and food. Wifi barely works so don't expect to get connected.
Review 38:Location and room were good. Large terrace with great view.
Review 39:The wifi did'nt work optimally in our room and it was difficult to adjust the temperature in the shower.
Review 40:This is truly a charming little hotel at the best possible location in Bosa. The rooms and breakfast were far better than on all other hotels we visited during our trip to Sardinia (we stayed at 4 different hotels), although we only paid half the price compared to the other hotels. Big plus for the very helpful staff who showed us several rooms to choose from on our arrival. Would recommend!
Review 41:Just a couple of very minor things - access to rooms in annexe was via stairs and wifi was difficult to connect at times.
Review 42:Our rooms were in a separate building from the hotel and nicely restored. The meals at the restaurant were great and very reasonable. A good variety for breakfast and all the staff were very happy and helpful.
Review 43:Everything was amazing.
Review 44:We loved staying at Sa Pischedda so much that we had to return to it for another night. The absolute highlight is their restaurant where hotel guests get a great offer of Euro 23 for a three course dinner (all the dishes we've tried were impeccable!). The room is lovely and has a certain charm, very clean and comfortable. The view of the town of Bosa with its colourful cute houses is great too.
Review 45:Lovely, slower paced town. The rooms were comfortable. We didn't spend much time on our small terrace but breakfast outdoors was lovely. There can be mosquitoes in the rooms so do plug in the mosquito zappers that are provided.
Review 46:hairdryer did not work, but was quickly replaced on request; no view from the room (to the wall).
Review 47:Breakfast; personell; interior; shower; balcony; short walking dictance to everywhere - city center and supermarket and restaurants
Review 48:We have booked the room over one month ahead but was told there were no other room available to meet our request when we check in. The room is a studio with a loft by a narrow stair. Bath room is on the ground floor. Although front desk tried to show us 2 other different type of rooms.
Review 49:Location
Review 50:- beatiful room and bathroom - very helpful staff - staff give us a lot of information about city and activitis - terace with great view to the city centre - beatiful furnished hotel - great location - very easy to find
Review 51:Very thin walls! Very narrow door onto terrace from our room. Shame not to have had a window or bigger door as the view was so nice. Get to breakfast early or all the croissants will run out! We want a view at breakfast - a louvred blind might be better at dealing with the morning sun!
Review 52:Great staff, great location, great for storing our bikes and a nice sense of history in this tastefully decorated historic hotel.
Review 53:Nothing
Review 54:Comparing to other hotels in Sardinia- great value for money, very stylish, good breakfast. They let us choose the room, which we like. Bosa is awsome city.
Review 55:room seemed smaller than on picture
Review 56:amazing view of the town, got an upgrade to a better room, very nice breakfast, free wifi throughout, cool interiors
Review 57:Wooden (laminate?) flooring creaked when you walked over it, and we could hear the people in the room above us walking around (in shoes?) on it from quite early in the morning.
Review 58:Lovely view from the balcony (we got an upgrade) The 23 euro set dinner voucher offer at the restaurant next door. Great food, great atmosphere, even though out of season. When we asked for a corkscrew to open a bottle of nice wine we'd brought we were also offered some nice wine glasses to drink it from. Really soft bed sheets. Lots of fruit options at breakfast.
Review 59:The air conditioning system in the room could do with replacing as it only blew out hot air, and a full ashtray had been left on the balcony from the previous stay. other than that everything was wonserful
Review 60:Absolutely amazing restaurant,we ate there 3 out of 4 nights. Lovely comfortable room with spectacular views across the river and up to the castle! Room very clean, bathroom was perfect too with everything we needed. Staff very helpful and welcoming, breakfast was a great selection with coffees etc included in the room rate
Review 61:We were taken great care of by a very friendly and helpfull staff. The room was fantastic with a balcony with a view to the old city of Bosa. A highly recommendable hotel and a highly recommendable breakfast.
Review 62:Breakfast room was a bit small and could get very crowded at times,
Review 63:The room on the 3rd floor was very clean and had a great view over the river towards the town. Blackout curtains and air conditioning made for very restful sleep. The adjoining restaurant was excellent and the hotel voucher system made eating there very reasonable.
Review 64:The bathroom had a slightly odd layout and was a little dated and dark.
Review 65:We had a lovely evening in Bosa at the Palazzo Sa Pischedda. The food at the hotel was very good and very reasonably priced with the hotel voucher. The room had a lovely view and was very comfortable. Breakfast the next day was delicious - excellent croissant!
Review 66:The room had a mezzanine floor with a spiral staircase. Made it impossible to take any luggage up to that area and there wasn't enough storage on the level below. The bed was very hard. I was also under the impression that the hotel had a walled garden where you had breakfast/ dinner etc but this wasn't the case. Tables were actually quite close to the road so it wasn't very private.
Review 67:We found the staff on reception friendly and helpful. The location is very good. You only need to walk across the bridge into the main area of Bosa. Breakfast was good with a fair amount of choice.
Review 68:air con was great for lower section of our room but the top level was a little too warm. and we should've stayed an extra night to test their no doubt lovely restaurant!! :)
Review 69:excellent room, cool stairs up to our massive bed and cute living room space underneath near the bathroom. Large bathroom with bath and shower and a gorgeous balcony. hotel is just by the river with great views of the castle, walking distance to all facilities in town and marina and is next door to a well stocked supermarket. The staff are absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful and personable. we loved our stay here! and breakfast was delicious and relaxed, despite the pouring rain!!
Review 70:We liked our stay in Bosa. The city is itself is scenic and the hotel character fits to it. We stayed in the building, which is separate from the hotel but newly renovated and stylish. We stayed on one day, but will come back.
Review 71:When we arrived the lady from the reception escorted us to our room, showed us everything, set up the TV to international channels, and gave us some tips for the city, first time we experienced something like this, a nice personal touch. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were very nice and quite large and the selection of food for breakfast (included in the price of the room) was very good. We would definitely recommend this place to all travellers to Bosa.
Review 72:It was a little pricy but it was the perfect place for a romantic gateway. Better wifi is needed. Also, tv was great but it was on the lower floor not by the bed. Other than that, I would love to go back and stay longer. 1 night wasn't enough!
Review 73:Staff was very nice and after checking in we got walked to the room and given a tour. The employee gave us a map and made suggestion for places to see and go eat. We had the best view of the old town and we were 1 min away from it. Wifi was ok, kinda weak signal. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom small but clean and well lit. We had our own AC unit. Big plus!!! TV had local and International channels.
Review 74:Our room was at the other side of the hotel to the wifi router so the wifi was not fantastic but a tiny price to pay for an otherwise amazing trip.
Review 75:We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were amazing, always smiling and could not have been more helpful. The room was very big and had a huge balcony overlooking Bosa. Highly recommend :-)
Review 76:My wife & I stayed seven nights at Palazzo Sa Pischedda & loved every minute! -even when things went wrong with the water system... I'll explain after I give the highlights of our hotel stay:* Not just friendly... Super-Friendly staff were there to greet us and attend to our every question or request!* Wonderful breakfast buffet with a decent assortment of cold-cuts, heavenly pastries and good coffee (personally I preferred the coffee at another cafe nearby, but still very good here). When weather permits, breakfast is served on a lovely outdoor patio where some days, we would linger for most of the 2 hour breakfast period.* Beautiful view of the old town from our room patio (#305)!* Excellent location to all of Bosa and Bosa Marina. the nearby beach town. We wanted to stay somewhere where we wouldn't always need to use a car, and this hotel's address next to the Ponte Vecchio made our strolls to nearby restaurants very convenient. Also, there's a grocery 1/2 a block away.* The hotel has a service that will do your laundry for a nominal fee. That came in handy as Bosa was the second stop in our 2 1/2 week journey. It may have been a bit more expensive than doing it ourselves, but the convenience of the service was a pleasure. Also, they did an incredible job of ironing shirts!* Great A/C (high on our list of necessities for a good night's sleep) and firm mattresses with nice linens.* Great hot water and decent pressure. Not too large of a bathroom but well designed none-the-less.* Overall our room was large and accommodating with high ceilings, terrific lighting, & warm color schemes. So about the water system problems... sure it was inconvenient, but this little story illustrates just how wonderful the staff is. The hotel had lost all running water for about a day and a half.
Review 77:Dont accept the offer about the vouchers for the restaurant. You will be disapointet about the quality of the food and the service level.
Review 78:Beside the perfect location, the stuff are very nice and wiling to do every thing to please the guests. Thanks a lot to Anna:)
Review 79:we booked 'superior Double with Terrace' and booking.com description said large terrace with sun loungers, table and sofas. Room images showed spacious room with sofa etc. We had nice terrace on corner but no sofas and room was very small so disappointed - not much space at bottom of bed and bedside cabinet too close to wardrobe making it difficult to access clothes! spent most of time on terrace. Tried to explain our concern and negotiated slight reduction but friendly receptionist kept saying we had 'panaromic terrace' which made it a superior room. It must have been the smallest room in the hotel! Overall it didn't spoil our visit but we were disappointed.
Review 80:traditionally decorated 'boutique' hotel in excellent location across bridge from old town. Staff very friendly and welcoming and good breakfast. If you're planning to stay here see my negative comments and be prepared on arrival!
Review 81:Hotel's restaurant is not that amazing
Review 82:Beautiful rooms and hotel; nice balcony and large two-level room; good breakfast; friendly and attentive staff.
Review 83:The sister restaurant Ponto Vecchio - poor food, bad service and voucher not explained comprehensively enough. This association reflects badly on the hotel!
Review 84:View, decoration and furniture, breakfast, location.
Review 85:Wifi kept dropping out. Not enough tables to seat all guests at breakfast ( we had to come back later). We ate dinner at house restaurant & service was extremely slow (an hour to get first course & another hour to receive 2nd) as there was really only one waiter (& a girl helping who only seemed to be able to clear tables)
Review 86:We stayed in rooms with sun terraces overlooking Bosa (1 room) & the river valley (2nd room). Both were very comfortable & staff very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent
Review 87:Very friendly staff in a location that makes the town super accessible without the diffuculty of the old town
Review 88:Friendly staff, very nice view from the terrace, good breakfast, convenient location.
Review 89:room was perfectly nice, but not big
