Reviews for Hotel Du Lac et Bellevue
Review 1:reception and general staff were nice but breakfast staff hovered over you and wanted to take the plates away before you had finished, felt rushed. food was ok and plenty of it but was catered towards German tourists as was television channels in room. ticket staff for the ferry were rude and unhelpful but most everyone else were pleasant..
Review 2:great lakeside location. Clean and comfortable hotel ,Bardoline was lovely place to stay.10 min walk to the ferry and centre with great views while you walk. would go back.
Review 3:We loved everything about the hotel. Our only criticism would be that the two trees outside the front of the hotel Bellevue need a hard pruning back as they are beginning to spoil the stunning view of the lake.
Review 4:Excellent location right on the lake side. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable spacious room. Great to have a large pool and sauna too. Just a nice stroll away from the centre of Bardolino. Great choice of food at breakfast.
Review 5:Informed the hotel before we arrived that it was for a special anniversary and they gave us a fantastic room with balcony overlooking the lake and a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us.
Review 6:The first room we were offered had steep steps to the bed area and this was too difficult to navigate. Impracticle
Review 7:The room we were moved to in the Belview was excellent.
Review 8:small bathroom no coffee maker, safe, ironing board & iron
Review 9:very good location clean & big rooms great buffet breakfast with lots of sumptuous choices nice restaurant for dinner/lunch friendly staff easy parking on premises which was free of charge
Review 10:Room in Bellevue annexe, a little dated. Huge pillar in room which meant we had to move the furniture to be able to see tv. Also one British channel available on tv.
Review 11:Staff, surroundings.
Review 12:The beds were extremely hard. On the plus side there is a pillow menu so we were able to select softer pillows, just couldnt do anythg about the mattress. We had a balcony but it was tiny and overlooked the roof of another part of the building, result was we never sat on it. Luckily there was an outdoor area with plenty of loungers we were able to relax in.
Review 13:Fantastic location directly overlooking the lake and a short walk from the main town. Airport bus dropped us off 10 mins walk from the hotel, cost 10 Euros for 2 people. Large patio overlooking the lake where we ate breakfast and had evening drinks. Staff were lovely and all spoke good English. Nice pool with indoor and outdoor areas.
Review 14:Be careful what room you book. We had a room with a mezzanine floor with the bed up the stairs and bathroom down. Not all that safe for some at night. We asked to be changed and they were very obliging.
Review 15:The staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble. Any complaints were sorted without a fuss . Special thank you to Patricia for all her help. The location was great. Away from the town but easily accessible with a short walk.
Review 16:Although our room was lovely and like a mini suite with a balcony, the view from it was disappointing because it looked directly at the main hotel and car park. It was not in the main hotel and felt like we were staying in an apartment building.
Review 17:The hotel is in an excellent location - right beside the lake and a few minutes walk to the town centre. The staff were all lovely, and the breakfast was fantastic with so much choice.
Review 18:Lovely hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We were leaving too early for breakfast and they kindly prepared us something to take away. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. The hotel is a pleasant 10 min walk along the lakeside prom to Bardolino town.
Review 19:Dated decor and postage stamp size balcony which two people could not comfortably sit on despite two chairs.
Review 20:Great location, friendly staff and good private beach
Review 21:Great location right by the lake with only a pedestrian lane to cross and a private pier for hotel customers, with option of private beach. Hotel staff incredibly attentive, helpful and friendly, considering the long shifts they were doing, and all able to speak in four languages - French, English and German as well as their own. Great breakfast. Facility to rent bikes from the hotel.
Review 22:Lack of tea/coffee making facility in room. Not made aware of stairs in annex room when booking, although not a problem to us , could be for young children or older guests.
Review 23:Very friendly and helpful staff. Manager and staff of restaurant very helpful with Gluten free requirement Food very good
Review 24:all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.the breakfast was superb and dinner very good and excellent value.well situated on the edge of bardolino but easy walk into the centre.
Review 25:Nothing
Review 26:Perfectly placed for a stroll into town. Right beside the lake, with a nice beach area to sit out at. Restaurant served good quality food at reasonable price and all staff in hotel could not have been more helpful.
Review 27:Being a frequent visitor to the bathroom at night I would have preferred the bedroom to be on the same level.
Review 28:We found the hotel to be very comfortable the food excellent and the facilities very good. The staff were all very nice and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The location of the hotel could not have been better.
Review 29:Our room was very disappointing for a four star hotel. It was in need of extensive refurbishment.
Review 30:The location was excellent and the staff were very helpful.
Review 31:The wifi in our room did not work but it did work in the hotel. We were told that the wifi problem had been resolved but we still could not get it in our room.
Review 32:We were delighted with this hotel, the staff were extremely pleasant. We booked a trip to Verona through the hotel and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was superb, our room was very spacious and had everything you needed, in particular it was great to have towelling robes, slippers and even towels for use at the pool and on the sun loungers. Bardolino and the surrounding area of Lake Garda is one of the most beautiful areas I've ever visited. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Review 33:1) WIFI did not work. Nobody told us this during check in. I am working as manger in the aviation industry. Therefore WIFI is mandatory for me to check mails on daily basis. This was also one of the main reasons for selection of the mentioned hotel. 2) Comfort rooms are the cheapest rooms without balcony. Misleading description. The given room without balcony just overhead the entrance raised the impression the booking com guests are treated as second class guests. 3) Hotel charged registration fee in advance. Booking com offered free cancellation. 4) No shower in the sun-bed area. Too many sun chairs and sun beds in the area. People do reserve their sun beds early in the morning with towels 5) Pool too small and not connected to the sun bed area. Statement Hotel is good for three Stars but compared to other 4 star hotel in town the value for money was not given! We changed the hotel!
Review 34:The location close to the lake
Review 35:Some desk staff were not very helpful. E.g., I ask if the hotel has an electrical adaptor for 110 volts. The staff member frowns, says no, and walks away. She could have mention where in town to buy one. Actually, the hotel should have such an item. The beds are overly stiff for our liking. Shampoo was not left for several days. The pool is small and not particularly inviting. Visit to Lazise was disappointing, very crowded with the merchandise market and very little else to do.
Review 36:The cab we booked for ride to Venice turned out to be much more, i.e., a well dressed driver with a comfortable Mercedes limosine. Pleasant surprise was extras such as the free sail boat ride for an afternoon, free watermelon, trekking. Service at meals was pleasant and efficient. The sunning area is very well done and located with discreet view of the lake. Walk to town was only 10 minutes. Many excellent restaurants to choose from there. Fun to ride ferry to other lake destinations.
Review 37:Receptionist Patricia was so helpful, great breakfast, sunbeds in sunshine, pool, & free motorbike parking! close to Bardolino centre to walk & enjoy this beautiful place.
Review 38:Wi-Fi....it was unreliable and did not connect to my mail server. Two smaller locations in smaller communities had far better service. The fact that the reception was in another building made it inconvenient.
Review 39:The location & staff! It didn't seem to matter what we needed, they accommodated us. Our room and the facility were very clean. We also appreciated the varied menu at breakfast and the afternoon snack - very refreshing. Thank you
Review 40:The combined indoor and outdoor pool!
Review 41:Nothing!
Review 42:Receptionist lady was super helfpfull! Hotel was very clean, comfortable and very relaxing. Convenient location. Will be back in summer!
Review 43:Good location close to lake front and Bardolino town Very friendly, multi-lingual, helpful staff
Review 44:view from room was hampered by too many trees
Review 45:Excellent location great staff and breakfast
Review 46:Perfect location for Bardolino. used as a stop over but would stay for a few days if I had the chance.
Review 47:Staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. Location was excellent.
Review 48:Excellent hotel - location, food, staff, facilities. Really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, over looking the lake every morning.
Review 49:great location by lake garda, plenty to do
Review 50:Fantastic position for everything. Food fantastic Facilities spotless
Review 51:Location and grounds
Review 52:Nothing , very satisfied
Review 53:Location and accomodation
Review 54:Bed was pretty firm
Review 55:Location and beach walks into town were fantastic.
Review 56:Able to walk alongside Lake Garda on a lovely promenade . Within 10 minutes of Bardolino which had lots of bars and restaurants.
Review 57:The view, food, staff, location
Review 58:The hotel location allows for wonderful walks along the lakeside to nearby towns ie Lazise and Garda.
Review 59:No English channels on TV, felt hotel catered more for German people
Review 60:Staff, location, facilities, food
Review 61:made you feel welcome and service excellence
Review 62:The bathroom in our room (annex) was rusty and very outdated with bits falling apart, would have expected at least a power shower in the room for the money paid!
Review 63:The staff were friendly and general facilities very good.
Review 64:Perfectly located to explore lake garda , walking and boat trips Staff were fabulous , food delicious , room spacious and very clean, pool a great size Really enjoyed our stay
Review 65:We were in the annexe (504) felt a bit jaded as was the hall / entrance though the room itself was very clean and met our needs.
Review 66:The staff were excellent in looking after our every needs, the hotel ambience was great, superb location and good breakfasts.
Review 67:The bed was uncomfortable and we could not get air conditioning to work so the room was very hot at night.
Review 68:Breakfast Food and drink. Swimming pool. Patio seating and sun beds. The easy stroll into Bardolino for evening meals and boat trips.
Review 69:Rooms were perhaps a little dated, beds very firm, no drinks making facilities.
Review 70:Good location, hotel service excellent and food to a high standard. Drinks etc. very fairly priced.
Review 71:electronic door locks for garage - a nerve testing exercise.
Review 72:a very good hotel with excellent value for money. This was our second stay and we will return.
Review 73:Booking.com should look at how the rooms are booked as we thought we had reserved a lake side view room in the hotel, when infact our room was in the annexe with views of the lake.
Review 74:The position was adjacent to the incredible lake. The buffet breakfast was a delight, so fresh every day. The staff always had the time of day for us and were very pleasant.
Review 75:Just a few minor niggles - lunch and dinner service times were a bit restricted. Bar service could be a bit slow. No kettle in rooms for making tea and coffee. Only TV channels in English were BBC 1 and 2 and reception was affected by the weather. No movie channel.
Review 76:Great location on the lake and a short walk to centre of Bardolino. Good sized rooms (we were in the Bellevue) and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was good but typical, restaurant food was excellent if you go a la carte. Never had a problem getting sunbeds on the 'beach', beach towels are provided and were changed regularly.
Review 77:There isn't anything that we were unhappy with, all was great and we would stay again in the future.
Review 78:Hotel Du Lac & Bellevue have fantastic views across Lake Garda and was great value for money. We ate on several occasions at the hotel and the food was delicious.
Review 79:We travel a lot and are very critical, however we have no complaints atall and would return to the Hotel.
Review 80:Our stay was excellent, the Hotel arranged for our pick up from theairport which was very efficient. The Hotel staff were very friendly andhelpful and the service and the food was excellent . The location wasperfect, only a short walk to the town and the ferry terminal.
Review 81:No facilities in the room for making a hot drink, but I suppose that is normal.
Review 82:The position right next to the lake, the staff who were all very helpful and pleasant and our room which was very comfortable. It was actually an upgraded room as none of the "Comfort" rooms we had booked were available. We did not complain! We ended up with a room with a large balcony with views of the lake. Excellent.
Review 83:Friendly staff. Aircondition on the whole day.
Review 84:Perfect location just in front of Lake Garda. Garage in the basement. Missing Internetacces at Bellevue.
Review 85:The web site could have explained that there are 3 buildings, the main hotel, the Annex and the Bellevue sites. This may have helped us make our choice better.
Review 86:We were very happy with our stay at the Hotel Du lac. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good location and good and clean rooms.
Review 87:We stayed at the du lac part of the hotel which has the restaurants andpool. The decor is quite dated but the staff are fantastic, so helpfuland welcoming. The breakfast is good and when taken on the terrace isvery relaxing. Unfortunately our room had a tiny balcony with a viewover the campsite. This made the room quite dark. While adequate, theroom was a little small and the beds were rather too firm. The locationis perfect just a 5 minute walk to the main town and right by thelakeside. The pool is lovely and there are bikes to hire and walkingtreks organised by the hotel. The food is very good although we onlyate twice.
Review 88:Thoroughly enjoyed stay at Du Lac. Hotel bedroom well furnished with plenty of space for clothes and storage for cases out of the way. Nice touches on arrival with a plate of fruit in the room, thick towelling dressing gown to use and complimentary slippers. Food was excellent, my husband is a picky meat eater and he thoroughly enjoyed it, if there wasn't something he liked something else was offered without any fuss. I am a vegetarian and it was so easy to see what was suitable for me, with veg. dishes written in green on the menu and again always delicious. Would love to return.
Review 89:Great location and excellent service
Review 90:Great area and location. Very friendly staff.
Review 91:I like the staff very freindly and welcomeing. Would stay again
Review 92:Everything. Breakfast was lovely there was a great selection of food.
Review 93:The location, superb access to the lake. The pre dinner light bites were delicious.
Review 94:The only thing strange is the parking ???
Review 95:The hotel is very upmarket staff were more than helpful 4* hotel will ce to hotel again
Review 96:Location is lovely right on the side of the lake, on fringe of lovelyactive but not too crazy town. Had a lovely break there
Review 97:Wine and dine
Review 98:no free sockets in room.tiled stairs to bedroom very dangerous
Review 99:Lovely hotel good location.great view
Review 100:location and view from the room!
Review 101:The locking system of garage entrance and entrance to the hotel facilities.
Review 102:A good hotel for a vacation.
Review 103:- wifi only at the reception desk - very thin walls (you can easily hear what happens at nighbours room)
Review 104:friendly staff
Review 105:We would have liked wifi access in our room at Bellevue.
Review 106:The suite was clean and well appointed
