Reviews for Stonehaven B&B

Review 1:Rooms looking tired and in need of a facelift. Dog hairs in hall and cobwebs in hall by front door. Think it needs a deep clean.

Review 2:Marie owner very friendly and welcoming. Location good 10/15 min walk into town.

Review 3:As most places in Europe the bathrooms are really small in being disabled you can make it a little difficult sometimes.

Review 4:Owner was very nice. She had maps and directed us where to eat and was just very nice to be around always smiling your husband was very nice as well

Review 5:The floor wasn't swept in our room. The owner wasn't a flexible as we we're used to. She has expectations (all reasonable, ex. 10 minute showers, silence after midnight) and gets a little bent out of sorts if you don't meet them, but she was still nice.

Review 6:The food was fantastic, and the location was great. No big issues.

Review 7:The bus does not come close to the house - you have to walk a ways to get there and we did not have a rental car. It all worked out okay since the weather was nice, but it might it might affect someone who is without a vehicle.

Review 8:Mary was fantastic!! Beautiful cooked breakfast and very clean accommodations. Mary checked in with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. She was also quite helpful in guiding us to some good spots in Ennis on where to shop/eat.

Review 9:Room 3 was a little cramped. (1 and 2 both bigger)

Review 10:It was very clean. Not to far to walk to Ennis centre. There was a car park at the end of the road on the edge of town to shorten the walk. The food was fine The shower was good.

Review 11:It was a good location. Easy walk to food and stores. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast was good. No complaints. There is limited parking

Review 12:Double bed and single bed in our room but would have been a squeeze if there were three of us! Powerpoint for phone chargers etc. were not easy to access and none for hair dryer near the mirror unless the tv was unplugged. Tea / coffee making facilities in room looked as if they had not been used for some time.

Review 13:Accommodation was comfortable and clean. Brown bread was lovely. Marie was friendly and welcoming. Safe and convenient car parking.

Review 14:very nice room and a so friendly house, the brakefast was individual... Thank you very much, we loved it.

Review 15:Lovely reception. Mary is such a warm person. Made me feel at home immediately. Very organised.

Review 16:It was your basic room and bath...nothing fancy but clean.

Review 17:Decent place for the money.

Review 18:You had to drive to restaurants and there wasn't much to choose from.

Review 19:The view of the ocean from our window and the path down to the shore.

Review 20:Little expensive but breakfast was included!

Review 21:Nice big room, lovely bed, very accommodating hosts.

Review 22:Asking for milk when you wanted a cup of tea as it was not left in room

Review 23:Nice walk to town center

Review 24:Needs a make over, very dated. Needs a good dusting. Very surprised to be told that poached egg for breakfast but not available!!

Review 36:The owner Marie was very friendly, welcoming & helpful. She happily got up early to make our breakfast as we wanted to leave early & she wouldn't let us go without breakfast. I highly recommend this B & B. Lovely rooms. Very cosy.

Review 37:Room was very small especially for a double and single bed, should only have a double bed in it. Tv was too high up nearly touching the ceiling! Blind was faulty, could not get it to roll up. No heat in room and breakfast room was cold. Badly needs updating, very old fashioned!
