Review 1：The first two days were great but then hotel guests were deprived of the lovely restaurant overlooking the sea because it was taken over by a business seminar!

Review 15：Anotherhh guest complained that seaweed had not yet been removed from the private beach. It turned out there were sound ecological reasons for keeping the sand covered till mid-May and then putting the seaweed cover back in October. Typical of Sardinia, We plan to return to this very hotel.

Review 22：Dining arrangement a bit confusing - if you want to eat outside you have to eat off the a la carte menu which is quite limited and expensive (although the dishes we chose were delicious). If you go for the 4 course menu at 25 euro you have to eat inside (looked v good value but we never tried it as second night we ate in Fertilia). Beach by the hotel was really smelly and a bit dirty (not at all appealing so we walked to the next beach up instead which was great).

Review 23：Lovely quiet hotel with fabulous views over the bay. We paid the extra for a room with seaview and think it was well worth it (balcony massive with 2 sun loungers as well as table and chairs). Only a short 10min walk to the town of Fertilia and 30mins walk to Bombarde beach. Staff were really friendly and helpful and place v clean.

Review 29：Unbearable smell of sewage everywhere, the fact that in reality it is an overpriced not very good 3* hotel. Water in minibar wasn't refilled, so was the one-for-everything soap, old and cheap bathroom amenities didn't work properly, no toiletries. Cheap decor and furniture. Very depressing experience.

Review 55：The bar except 12:30-14:30 when the kitchen was open, has only small pizza and toast. If you want sth to eat and the restaurant is closed or you don't want to spend a lot of money, you have to walk to Fertilia in order to buy sth to eat. The menu in the restaurant has a variety of sea food/fish and only two choices for meat. Also, it's a little bit expensive to eat daily in the restaurant.

Review 56：The location is very good. Tall pines trees, great colors in the sea, white sand. Just 5' walking to Fertilia and 10' by bus to Alghero. Every area of the hotel was clean. If u can afford it, rent a room with sea view. Absolutely fantastic view. Never too crowdy (beach, pool, restaurant, bar). Very good breakfast/coffee/beer.

Review 68：They have a strange card system where you have to prepay - which isslightly tiresome as you have to estimate what you will spend and keepwatching the balance. The lunch in door/outdoor kitchen arrangement wasslightly chaotic - one day we got food before drinks, another day theyforgot half of our order - the food all came at different times. We wereonlythere for 4 days but we would take bets on whether we would/wouldn'tget any bread, but it seemed a system issue rather than that of thewaiting staff.

Review 69：I really enjoyed the Punta Negra, it is not a flashy 5 star experience -but the hotel, staff and clientele felt understated, friendly andunassuming. I felt that everything they did, they did well and a lot ofthought had gone into it. The pictures don't/can't describe the feelingof space within the public areas... The pool area was never crowded,even in the last week of July! It felt almost tropical and the wonderfulbreeze and sound of the cicadas is still with me!

Review 70：The Punta Negra is in Fertilia, which is outside Alghero. It has a lovely location on the seafront with its own private beach. It also has lots of space around the hotel - the restaurant is on the terrace overlooking the sea, there is a bar/cafe area also overlooking the sea, and then further on there are two swimming pools with lots of surrounding space which are also on the seafront. The rooms were very good, though we chose not to pay for a sea view and had one of the rooms facing away from the sea. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Its about a 15/20 minute bus ride to Alghero and the buses stop at the hotel. While they are not very frequent, the schedule is posted at reception. Generally we stayed at the hotel during the day or went for a walk/cycle, and then took the 9.00 evening bus into Alghero, returning on the midnight bus. Other buses to Alghero pass through Fertilia, which is about a ten minute walk from the hotel.
