Reviews for Podere San Quirico
Review 1:The weather was pretty hot and unfortunately the lack of AC made it uncomfortable to sleep. The room had a fan but it was loud and not very suffice t to cool the room
Review 2:The location, the staff the owners were amazing and very hospitable. The pool was nice and we really enjoyed our stay.
Review 3:Our stay in Tuscany was beautiful and relaxing. Hostess and Host Michela and Francesco go out of their way to please their guests (they were even kind enough to allow us to use their washer as we were in a bit of a bind!). This beautifully and tastefully renovated villa was quiet and the grounds were amazing. I took an early morning walk through the olive trees and grape vines with the property watch dog (and friendly companion) Spotty. My wife and I loved the view from our spacious room. This was another example of how travel memories are made; around a breakfast table chatting with other travelers and sharing stories. Nearby restaurants are also amazing. We visited Quei 2 and had a great meal.
Review 4:Everything was great! The hosts treated us like we were a family (we felt like at home). The rooms were spacious and clean and the view from the room was breathtaking. Good location: quiet, easy to reach and very close to the village center. Perfect place to start visiting Tuscany area. Parking available. Nice garden and pool. Excellent breakfast.
Review 5:haven't stayed in a Podere before so things like having to make own bed came as a surprise initially but we soon got in the swing of it. not a problem. pool out of service so we were uncertain about which parts of the property we could sit in, felt a bit like we were intruding on the daily running of the place, though Michaela and Francesco were sweet and welcoming at all times.
Review 6:Friendly and welcoming owners who made effort to acknowledge my birthday and give us the best room as we were staying for a week plenty of parking relaxed atmosphere coming in late or getting up late was not an issue use of kitchen facilities was handy spacious accommodation and light room
Review 7:The owners of this lovely restored Tuscan estate have created a gem. They give exceptional and personal attention to your stay and we can't wait to return. We will likely stay even longer on our next trip. It is centrally located in the rural Tuscan landscape yet close to a freeway, to Siena and the rest of the Chianti region. A very nice restaurant with extensive menu is located within walking distance.
Review 8:The extremly warm welcome of the Owner Francesco and Michalela. The quietness of the place. The excellent breakfast. We will be back soon Gilbert&Ruth Luxembourg
Review 9:Would have been nice to have had drinks available (other places we stayed at offered an honesty bar)
Review 10:Convenient location, easy to find, very welcoming on arrival, nice breakfast, nice pool & garden
Review 11:A lovely stay - we arrived after driving from the Cinque Terre, and it was great to feel like we had the place to ourselves! Quiet room, comfortable bed, you could use the kitchen and lounge as you like...the pool when it was warm, a great base to explore Tuscany. Thank you!
Review 12:Very nice, authentic agriturismo in an interesting place, centrally based in the heart of Tuscany. You can expect a warm welcome at a place where you will quickly feel 'at home'. The centre of Castelnuovo is just behind the corner. Very good!
Review 13:My family and I spent 10 days at Villa San Podere Quirico , where Michaela, Roberto and Francesco hosted us wonderfully. The Villa is in Castelnuovo Berardenga, a small village near the highway, just 24 km away from Siena, full of lovely restaurants as well as the essential in terms of services, such as markets, pharmacy, etc. and strategically located to whom is planning to visit Toscana and its picturesque and beautiful cities, such as Arezzo, Cortona, Vale D'Orcia, Siena, San Gimignano-Volterra-Colle Val D'Elsa, etc.The Villa is absolutely astonishing, with its olive trees, vineyards, gardens, swimming pool and a fantastic view of the unique Tuscan landscape and its hills, villas and cypresses. But, definitely, the most charming feature of the Villa is its Owners Michaela, Roberto and Francesco. Always kind, available and extremely delicate, they made us experienced an atmosphere of complete joy and relaxation. The wine tasting (in a cellar 5 minutes away from the Villa), followed by an open air cinema (a beautiful Woody Allen movie!) was such an unforgettable experience. For all the above, I strongly recommend San Podere Quirico for those planning to visit Tuscany.
Review 14:I stayed at Podere San Quirico with a friend. We loved the homely feel, warm service and beautiful setting of the place. The breakfast was very good, with fresh products in great surroundings. I would recommend it to all my friends and family.
Review 15:town was very quiet, not much open and place was very secluded. Needed a car to get around, would be nice if they had some bicycles to rent!
Review 16:quiet location, beautiful view, nice pool & garden and the breakfast and owner's were fantastic.
Review 17:We were wished warmly welcome with friendly hospitality from the very beginning. Openminded and serviceminded hosts were discreetly present, spoke very good English, and were considered like close friends or family. We had a large and bright room with breathtaking views of the beautiful Tuscan countryside and beautiful sunrise. The breakfast tasted very good and was rich and varied. With its central location it is short distance to all interesting places in the region. Castelnuovo Berardenga is a small village with limited number of atractions. Few, but cozy restaurants with good food.
Review 18:Rooms are too simple. Nothing to do at night.
Review 19:Quiet and beautiful
Review 20:Excellent hosts. Very informative and friendly. Superb location with stunning views from bedrooms.
Review 21:Very friendly hosts, beautiful, clean, silent, easy to reach.
Review 22:Bus service to Siena is poor. A car is a essentail to move around the area.
Review 23:Quiet countryside setting. Great for exploring the Tuscany area. It is very central to both Chianti, Cortona and Monechino areas.
Review 24:The triple bedroom was a bit warm. Since it faces directly into the sun.
Review 25:Easy to get to all the surrounding towns. Very scenic property. The breakfast was fantastic with expresso cappuccino mixed meats and cheeses fruits yogurts eggs and bacon to order. We were gone pretty much from sun up to sundown driving through Tuscany but we were extremely pleased with our hosts. The bathrooms are very modern the bed was quite comfortable. I would definitely reccmmend it to others. Perfect place to start your Tuscan travels. Grab a cup of coffee sit among the olive trees and Try to get up before sunrise and see the sun as it rises up above the Tuscan hills.
Review 26:Everything! We loved the panoramic view of the rolling hills and hearing the melodious bird songs; adored our newly renovated room (which smelled heavenly as we walked in). In fact, the entire agriturismo was superbly renovated last year. Enjoyed walking around the huge property with many olive trees, vines and all kinds of fruit trees. Franchesco, Michaela and her husband Roberto were very gracious: we felt so much at home we didn't want to leave after the four days were up.
Review 27:Nothing we did not like. Just be careful exiting from the small road as you cannot see around the bend. Be safe.
Review 28:Small farm stay in village close to Siena. Nice owners with good advice for parking in Siena. Comfortable with excellent cooked breakfast. Great base for Chianti drive from south up to Florence along SR222.
Review 29:Great location to explore wine villages of region Fantastic hosts, assisting with details/local recommendations Beautiful farmhouse, all lovingly redone with simply perfect rooms
Review 30:Really enjoyed our stay at Podere San Quirico. The owners were interesting, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure everything was good. Gave us good directions and suggestions of where to visit. Loved the beautiful views and countryside of their fabulous location.
Review 31:Michela and Francesco were amazing hosts. Michela helped us plan almost all of our day-trips, from bike rides, to hikes, to surrounding city tours. Breakfast was great - warm and inviting and shared at one big table with other guests. The place was recently renovated, from top to bottom, and is just beautiful. A spectacular place from which to enjoy Tuscany.
Review 32:We wish we could stay more, just hanging around the fireplace and reading a book or two!
Review 33:We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and spacious, the breakfast very personal and the parking easy. It is ideal for relaxation and good food at the nearby restaurants. Its location is perfect for various daily trips across Toscane by car, as well as shopping at a nearby discount village! We strongly recommend it without the slightest hesitation and definitely will stay again, hopefully soon!
