Reviews for Hotel Grand Shiva
Review 1：Extremely dirty sheets and towels and even replacements when asked for had heavy dirty spots; dirty duvets had no duvet covers. The water in the bathrooms was very cold - no hot water available at all! There was no bathtub although this was advertised on the website. They charged us more money than the price promised by booking.com; We had to pay an additional amount for Breakfast although it should have been included and many options of the menu were not available for breakfast or dinner with no apology or explanation. The majority of staff didn't speak a word of English. We were given no toilet paper and no toiletries (other than a half empty shower gel when we arrived) Drinking Water wasn't included as promised and there was no fruit basket as advertised on booking.com. There were 5+ power cuts and no apology or warning about this and no back up power as promised when this happened. There were very heavy construction/refurbishment works being executed very openly by the main stairs on the 2nd floor. It was very unsightly and dirty and dusty all along the stairs, banisters and floors and it was also very noisy. The beds were extremely short and the mattress very uncomfortable. Metal springs digging into body made it very uncomfortable to sleep. Fly in cornflakes one morning. Complimentary drinks on arrival was water. Staff were generally quite rude and really looked like they didn't want to be there.
Review 2：On the rare occasion that food was available on the dinner menu, it was very good and tasty. The entrance foyer was very impressive, but everything beyond this was terrible. The TV was of good quality. The experience was so, so awful, we actually found it all very funny.
