Review 1：There was no menu provided in the room. Had to request from the staff many times before it was brought up to our room.

Review 2：We had room service. Food at the hotel was delicious.

Review 3：Breakfast is 7.00 > 9.00 am only, you wouldexpect it would be until 10.00 am when you are on holidays. No lazy chair around swimming pool, only very basic eqipment.

Review 7：Although the building was a dirty, the staff were very courteous. The island tour I went on was not worth $60. The tour guy did a fabulous job. However, the island view itself was not worth $60. I could have gone to the seaport and rent the boat myself for a lot cheaper and get to the island on my own. That $60 it's not a lot of money to me, but it was an insult to my intelligence. I know it is a rip off; I just did not want to argue.

Review 8：I took the wrong ferry to the wrong part of a Bintan. I meant to go to Bintan lagoon resort but ended up in Tabjung Pinang by mistake . I have asthma. There were people smoking literally everywhere even in non-smoking areas. My reservation requested non-smoking. The room I slept in work permeated with the smell of cigarettes. There were dirty black brown/ yellow spots on the bed linen and on the blue dirty towels that had holes in them. I saw several lizards crawling up the walls inside the room I slept in. There were several episodes of power outages. I was showering and suddenly there was no light anywhere. It was pitch black. When the lights came back on I saw lizards crawling on the bathroom wall. It was very dirty. By American Standard, this would not pass health code inspection.

Review 9：very friendly staff, helped me out with everything, especially renting a scooter which is actually impossible on this island but one of the people had rent me his private moto :) thx a lot! further the hotel shuttle is very useful and drives you where you want downtown incl pick up later. cool! good breakfast

Review 69：The location is very far from the beach. It's about 1 hr to Lagoi and 30 mins to Trikora Beach. If you want to have a relaxing vacation at beach, this is not the best hotel. If you just want to have a massage/ spa, and have a city tour at Tg. Pinang, this is a good hotel.

The shuttle will send you to any point in Tg. Pinang. This is a big credit of this hotel. It's really save a lot on the transportation cost.

Review 73：They charge for eggs during breakfast which surprises me. I feel thetoilet can be better in cleanliness as the walls look a little'old'. Also there don't seem to have any hanger in thetoilet at all. There should also be more power points in the room. Ionly see on usable point with a multi adaptor which was used for the tv.

My chalet styled room was located right at the end,i.e. room 119 and 120.It was far away from the pool and the main building.The buffet breakfast spread was a little insufficient for a price of SIN$10.00 for a child.I would suggest it should include juices and all style of eggs in the spread.

Review 81：The pool and rooms are not well maintained, overall the hotel needs a lot of repair and make-over. Not so clean and lots of insects like mosquitoes. Didnt even get to use the gym becos it cant be seen anywhere in the premises of hotel. There's no shops nearby. Too far to walk to shops.

The beds were very comfortable in the rooms. The food was good. They made us eggs and pancakes the first morning. They will give you rides to anywhere in the city. You can also rent a driver and van who will take you to the beach.

Note that thepic’s on the website give a good impression of what you may expect ofrooms and facilities (pool is in reality even larger than the websitepictures). One should not compare Pelangi with the resorts and thehotels and resorts in the Northern region of Bintang or the Lagoidisctrict of Bintang and therofre outside Tanjung Pinan. E.G. thebathroom , although really clean, could use some patching up. In theevent you want to stay in tp this hotel is a very good option. It’s notlocated in the center of the city but it provides a good shuttle serviceto town free of charge. Free Wifi service is ok. All staff, includinghousekeeping, front desk ( good option to arrange tour guides/out oftown taxi’’s) , restaurant and all other staff are genuinely extremelyhelpful, friendly and keen to serve you. The experience of enjoying thehotel’s staff service could be a reason to choose for Pelangi.
