Reviews for The Haveli Hari Ganga

Review 1:Staffs are excellent, food is good, and location is good.

Review 2:We booked for a Deluxe Room but what they gave us has no window. And we were charged 8 days before our arrival and a little bit more than booking.com stated in our confirmation letter. Hot and cold water does not mix well in the shower.

Review 3:Booking .com asked for credit card details to guarantee my payment but I was charged full amount on my credit card by the hotel one day prior to my visit .

Review 4:Narrow surrounding lane approach away from main road prize little higher side

Review 5:Very central location.private bathing ghat priest take you to ghat for evening aarti

Review 6:Everything was goid

Review 7:Lovely hotel in quiet location alongside the Ganges canal. Food excellent, nice little spa for massage and various activities such as being accompanied to the Aarti.

Review 8:The priest asked his friend to di our prayer at the Aartee and he asked us Rs 2000.00. I was shocked.

Review 9:The location and the facility to do prayer in the river.

Review 10:Cost of stay on little hire side, There are lot of areas where cost reduction in operation can be done -which we shared with the staff

Review 11:Location and service

Review 12:The view of evening Aarti at Har ki perri during rush hours especially with children should not be entertained , i think it is absolutely risky and not that enjoyable. If we travel alteast 2-3 hours prior to evening Aarti in Har ki parri will be nice and less risky. As hotel guest we should have more escort for this fabouls event , which i was not able to view due to heavy rush an poorly organised event by hotel people and end of day i think i have put my family at risk. Lunch and dinner absolutely dont have value for money. Pick up and drop can be more efficient. Organised visit to other places will ensure guest feel value for money. The private ghat can be kept more clean

Review 13:The private ghat, very close to nature and ethinic view with to an extent modernisation of facilities. Evening bhajan, morning aarti, Food variety can be improved , breakfast was awesome.

Review 14:Breakfast should be included in the price

Review 15:Very unique Bike ride from parking to the property !! Massage services (Shirodhara) provided was excellent !!

Review 16:complimentary breakfast for a boutique hotel is mandatory which was not ok. Food was very costly. Rs 300 for breakfast Rs 400 for lunch and Rs 500 for dinner was exorbitant and the parking SHOULD paid by the hotel for its guests.one you have to travel by rickshaw provided by them but at times rickshaws are unavailable they are unable to get you a rickshaw so feel hassled. especially for senior citizens its a handicap. Better toiletry could be provided like combs better clean soft towels could be there. the towels were old and hard.

Review 17:they have a private bathing ghat and its a heritage hotel and the ambience is good .The look is so nice you feel you are at home. they give complimentary tea in the evening and are there when you take bath in the ghat as monkeys are there always to scare you.

Review 18:They really made our stay memorable, specially because I asked them to help me to give a surprise for my girlfriend's birthday and they did it wonderful. Thank you

Review 19:Can't think of anything

Review 20:On arrival we were whisked off to see the ceremony at the ghats with a complementary guide. It was our first night in India and it felt very much like we had arrived.

Review 21:they took personal photo at the check in which never hapend at the other hotels in India

Review 22:the welcoming staff both reception and dinning room they had a "what to do "plan for every day the view to the Ganges !! afternoon tea on the terrace !!

Review 23:We recommend to book a room with Ganges view (just 6 rooms), as the other rooms have only inside windows.

Review 24:You live in an Indian heritage hotel with a great view on the Ganges. We even took a bath in the holy Ganges diractly at the hotel. Food is vegitarian as in whole Haridwar and very goog. No alcohol is available which is good. The hotel staff is very friendly and takes care of their guests. They organized many interesting events like singers, prayer, yoga and so on. The most interesting event is a complimentary guided tour to the Aarti at sunset. You can really become part of the ceremony. Keep in mind that you have to be barefoot and have some small change with you to give.

Review 25:hotel had lots of atmosphere and was very colonial. It is a mini hidden gem. Small hotel with lovely furnishings and very clean and comfortable. My room was large and clean with everything I needed except a hairdryer but when requested it was given to me. Great terrace with views of the Ganges and regular prayer services and evening aarti. Restaurant food was buffet but the food was good and the service excellent. The hotel is hidden down an alleyway within the local baazar so you need to get a rickshaw to take you as the road is too narrow for a car. With my one small case this was not a problem but bear it in mind if you have lots of luggage. Reception staff very helpful and advised me about tours for sightseeing.

Review 26:The only bug for us was the internet access was a tad clumsy. You have complimentary wifi access via a scratch card but every time you choose to use the service you have to re-enter the long numeric username and passcode.

Review 27:The warmth and friendliness of the staff was first rate and the decor of this heritage hotel is perfect. We ate in the restaurant a few times and the food was excellent. We we surprised how eager the staff were to help with activities in and around the hotel.

Review 28:Although I didn't avail myself of it, there is a cycle rickshaw pick up on arrival which is fab because Ram Ghat is traffic free. Ganga ji at the doorstep and located perfectly

Review 29:Good Property and unbelievable location, good food, good people to look after.

Review 30:We like every thing good experience

Review 31:Ambiance ; Food ; Temple ; Private Ghat ; Asscort by Pandit to Arti at Ghat Thanks for all

Review 32:Provide basic amenities like dental kit and shaving kit

Review 33:Great hotel and good location.

Review 34:Very good Food and nice stuff.

Review 35:Perfect location to experiance all Haridwar has to offer. Hotel and staff provide a great service that make a stay here unforgetable.

Review 36:Location and food excellent. Staff very co operative.

Review 37:Wonderful Hotel, with fabulous staff. Food and facilities were amazing and the activities on offer with guides were really well organised. A Haven.

Review 38:food.needs improvement

Review 39:location and humble staff

Review 40:Walking to the taxi stand in rain

Review 41:Service , housekeeping , friendly staff

Review 42:Wonderful staff and the overall atmosphere and spiritual orientation of the hotel make it exceptional. A rare gem.

Review 43:Bathing in the Ganges

Review 44:EVERYTHING - MOSTLY IT'S LOCATION & THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.

Review 45:It was an absolute pleasure to be there. Thanks for the brilliant reception and hospitality

Review 46:Actually I liked everything.

Review 47:Staff is very kind and helpful. A special mention to the front desk, they were great. Excellent location! The restaurant is very good (a little expensive). Indian breakfast but very good.

Review 48:No complaints.

Review 49:Loved the location, the restaurant - food was delicious, our rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Service and staff were wonderful. We were very happy with our stay and would certainly stay there again.

Review 50:None to say.

Review 51:Truly speaking, visited many times to Haridwar in the last past three times and was not aware of this Hotel at all. Amazing Service, Hospitality. what a staff, How much they take care into minute details of the customer. Really fantastic. They suggest according to the each individual needs and at the same time no marketing or push in any of their suggestions. keep it up. Will for sure visit again.

Review 52:We agreed that this might be the best hotel we ever stayed at! For us$95/night we stayed in a beautiful room (the staff were kind enoughto upgrade our room because they had a bigger room with balconyavailable). Beautiful old house, delicious breakfast (included) anddinner (not included), and even a nice chess board on one of theterraces. Location right in the bazaar and on the Ganges was great.

Review 53:Parking was a bit far from the Hotel had an approach that could notmatch its overall standards - not something they could likely change ordo much. River facing rooms were not available online (but available onsite) and we therefore requested change of room which was honoured foran extra fee. Not to forget that the location of the property isslightly off the main area. Their other property is better located - butthat is purely an opinion others might not agree.

Review 54:Tastefully built property on the banks of river Ganga that is run by anextremely courteous staff. Great food that is authentic Indian with nicevariety and yet easy for the sensitive palate.

Review 55:Its location it is a little bit hidden but it's worth while.

Review 56:Very nice boutique hotel.Great and well decorated room. Fantastic wiews over the Ganges

Review 57:My purpose of visiting this holy place is to be able to view Ganga Aarti and take a dip in Holy Ganges. Thanks to the staff I ve managed to accomplish both further to my expectations. I am delighted and I am glad ive chosen the place. The evening bhajans added to the ambiance and the aura

Review 58:This was are forth time stay . I have always felt that the linen , quilts and draper don't smell and feel very fresh :-( .

Review 59:The situation and the holy city cultural effect . The temple and evening bhajans .

Review 60:the rooms have no real openings except the ones facing the Ganga river. The room was thus a bit smelly and humid and the air con didn't work very well. The food isn't very good

Review 61:Everything, the location , the staff and the atmosphere except the room and the food

Review 62:Great to have a yoga room right next to the Ganga, but as apractitioner, I would like to see the room cleaner and better equipped -new mats and some bolsters and cushions would be a good idea.

Review 63:Excellent place to stay, right on the Ganga, The architecture of thistraditional haveli is wonderful. Rooms are good, food and serviceexcellent. Staff were great at helping a foreign tourist get the mostout of the visit. Added bonuses are the private ghat and the bhajans inthe courtyard in the evening. It is also close to Hari-ki-Pairi for theevening aarti.

Review 64:An excellent haveli with a beautiful atmosphere

Review 65:Helpful and polite staff. Good food

Review 66:Nothing

Review 67:Service was outstanding. Efficient, polite, kind, attentive. I am used to good service but this was way over the top.

Review 68:Everything was fine. Don't expect a resort or super luxury, but good staff, silence and harmony

Review 69:Location, views, staff, price

Review 70:nothing

Review 71:staff courtesy cleanliness the location

Review 72:Internet very slow

Review 73:Everything. A wonderful place. I hope to come back

Review 74:Dining room a bit drab.
