Review 1：I experienced several power outages,I could hear the traffic from my room (not an issue most of the time except when I was trying to sleep), and it is best to give the complimentary breakfast a miss .

Review 2：The room was adequately clean and well-equipped with the necessities.The bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and polite.

Review 3：My cousin fractured his arm during this trip. As we didnt speak their native language, its very hard to communicate with the people especially in emergency times like this. Luckily one of the hotel bellboy who knows english stayed with us thru the hospital. And helped us in conversing with the hospital staff. He didnt charge us for the chauffeur service to the hospital as they say its their job. We are very grateful.

Review 4：First day of breakfast and I actually spotted a rat running under the round tables in the cafe. Quite a surprise. Need the management to look into the matter so it wont affect the image of the hotel.

Review 8：My premier room was located in the noisy area (below the restaurant). And the staff told me that all the premier rooms were located in the noisy area such near the pub too. The carpet in the corridor already worn out. Should be renewed.

Trying to bluff his way. The internet was down. Not up front with problem. Pool very dirty. Being there for 4 days I don't believe they ever clean the pool.

Review 82：The term Standard room is fraudulant. In hotels standard room means normal room but at Aston it is Studio room with single bed like a prison cell and the rate of IDR 711000/- for studio room is a rip off. The front desk manager is arrogant and not fit for this kind of a job.

Review 90：It is situated on the outskirt of town so you need to make arrangements to go to the town centre. Hotel transport will cost you IDR140, 000. We went to Trikora beach ( 1 hour each way) - beautiful beach and that's about it and later to Tanjung Pinang town (IDR940,000). We had wanted to go shopping but there was nothing there. Truly the worst holiday ever.

Was happy with the new rooms given. Do not stay in rooms 117 - 135 if you planning to have any sleep. Very poor planning by the hotel management who are obviously aware of the problem.

Review 98：The taxi there is rather expensive, i would advise you to book the taxi whole day so that the driver will drive you around. Aston should provide special shuttle service free of charge to nearest supermarket or downtown for client to get something they want.

Review 108：We had a generally good and pleasing stay with Aston, we came home relaxed and destressed as we hope for.There were a couple highlights on our stay at Aston. First was Evin, who took care of our transpo needs the whole stay. He was very courteous and welcoming, from the moment he picked us up from the pier and until we left, and was even apologetic when he knew that some taxi drivers wanted us to take their cab and ditch the hotel pick up, in a way, saying bad things about Aston. Most of all, he was sympathetic when he knew we were from the Philippines, referencing to the recent storm we had. We werent victims of the storm but for him to be genuinely sympathetic was nice of him. And it was very easy to communicate in english with evin, something we cant say bout everyone we spoke to at the hotel. evin certainly can be a model of what an Aston employee is like - unforgettable customer service, good conversational and understandable english skills.We also had massage at Aston it was the best massage my wife and have had. We love massages and we try to get it wherever we go, but the massage Mega and Ayu gave us was the best ever.While ordering food was a challenge, difficult to have our questions answered, the food we ordered was good enough and the rendang was the best.We love the room we were given too. It was spacious and roomy, the bed was comfy as well.The bad part about the visit was the wifi signal, I cant seem to have a bit of work done, cant check, read or send emails with attachments, it takes so much time for a page to load and the hotel didnt have any back up remedy for such issue.The Language gap too has gotten in the way at times - ordering food, asking questions and directions, clarifying, giving instructions - all seem a bit difficult to do. There were few who had a good command of the language though so that helped.

Review 128：It's a bit far away from both the bbt ferry terminal and beaches. Itis the main shortfall because you need to get out of the hotel for mostof the activities. My recommendation is to book this hotel only if youcannot get a resort. Booking taxis from the hotel is more expensive fromdoing it yourself, allegedly. There's no nearby restaurants. Thealmost only choice is to eat at its own restaurant if you do not want totake a long ride to other hotels or resorts.

Review 129：Staff are extremely friendly and warm-hearted though sometimes it'sa bit hard to communicate with them in English. The rooms at Aston aregreat, clean and with a beautiful view of the swimming pool.

Review 130：There was nothing to do! If you wanted to explore the city on leisure,the area near the hotel had absolutely nothing. I doubt if it was evensafe for solo female travelers to walk around.Also was very disappointed with how the car transfer service was handled. When I arrived, there was no car transfer in sight. I had to call the hotel and wait for at least 30mins (to note, there is no decent waiting area near the jetty, unless one enjoys being constantly harassed by locals offering all sorts of service). On my last day, the car transfer did not leave the hotel on time. In fact, if I did not follow up several times, the staff would not see the sense of urgency on the delayed schedule. I missed my ferry because of this. It was such as hassle as I had a connecting flight to catch from Singapore. The hotel arranged for my ferry re-booking and transportation to/from the ticket office, only after I demanded they compensate me for the inconvenience. Staff could be trained to be more courteous and not snigger while speaking in the local language in front of angry and disappointed clients. Some areas of the hotel also felt creepy. Maybe because it was a weekday? Even if there were Christmas decors, some areas were left dark and unlit and you get the general feeling of being in an uninhabited place. There weren't a lot of guests when I visited (1st wk of Dec 2012) so at times you were the only person walking in the entire hallway.

Review 131：Breakfast was ok. Room was spacious. Cable tv had lots of foreignchannels. If you come to Bintan for business, this is a good hotel as itis in the city (read: absolutely no beach in sight). Hotel is relativelymodern and somewhat refurbished.
