Reviews for Villa Kostas

Review 1:None

Review 2:Wonderful stay at Villa Kostas with awesome host, Mary and Vaasilis. They are very friendly and helpful making winter feeling very warm during out stay in their property. I will recomment to all to stay at Viila Kostas.

Review 3:Loved everything about it. The owners are so kind, caring and accommodating. The location is excellent, close to the beach and shopping possibilities, as well as restaurants. The breakfast is good, with greek yoghurt and honey, ham sandwiches, bread and jams.

Review 4:A lovely place to stay during your holiday - very friendly and helpful owner and staff. A quiet, clean place where you definitely get the value for your money.

Review 5:we can totally recommend to stay there, everyone is super friendly and helpful and easy going, we even got picked up from the airport which was great! we had hammocks on our terrace (best!) and for a low cost they offered a transfer to the port - both of our arrival and departure time was rather inconvenient, but villa kostas didnt mind at all, which was a great relief to us. it's only a very short walking distance to the beach (black sand!). our apartment was super clean and spacious, all in all a great place to spend your holidays!

Review 6:The owners are very nice, taking care your stay is pleasant. We arrived at midnight, still they were waiting for us on the airport. The rooms are cleaned every day and during our stay of 5 nights the sheets and towels were changed 3 times. There is a common open air area, where you are served breakfast as well. Breakfast is the same every day, consisting of a ham and cheese toast, bread, various jam, honey and yogurt. The room is spacious enough as well as the bathroom. Bring your earplugs though as the wind is blowing really hard in Santorini. The beach is 3 min walk from the apartments, making it a perfect spot. The bus stop to Fira and other places is 100 me away opposite the Dorians bar, which is a good place to grab a beer in the evening. You can rent a car/motorbike from the Villa Kostas itself, and various tours can be arranged for you. I would highly recommend the stay at Villa Kostas.

Review 7:We stayed at this cosy and beautiful hotel for a week. Vasilis and Mary were so lovely and kind to us that we felt like we came to visit our family or really close friends! We miss them very much! It's not the place (though it's absolutely marvelous!) that makes us want to come back to Santorini, it's the people!

Review 8:Bad wifi, staff was absent from the office when we needed to contact them for several hours.

Review 9:Excellent hosts picked us up from the port, gave us snacks and a yummy breakfast, and provided great service throughout our stay.

Review 10:Nothing remarkable.

Review 11:Best location in Perissa. The owner are so friendly and informative. The room was clean, shampoo and shower gel provided. Breakfast was reasonably filling. Bike provided.

Review 12:We are excited!!! This wonderful and pretty mini-hotel is so nice to stay there to spend your vacation. Pretty lady Nicoletta and her daughter are very kind and hospitable people. The place itself is very beautiful: nature, sea view etc.

Review 13:My and my husband have spent the honeymoon here and we couldn't have picked a better spot. The staff was really welcoming, warm and lovely and we felt like at home. The location is perfect, close to the the beach.

Review 14:Stayed 10 days - breakfast same everyday could have varied it a bit

Review 15:Extremely friendly owners. Very kind and informative. Close to everything. Rooms basic but cleaned every day.

Review 16:-small issues: some bulb in our room doesn't work -breakfast could be more varied but they are tasty anyway

Review 17:+perfect location! +outstanding hosts! +quiet! +free pick up from the airport! +breakfast (but could be more varied) +hammock! Thanks M.&V!

Review 18:There wasn't wifi in the room, but it wasn't a big deal.

Review 19:The hospitality of staff was fantastic, definitely one of my best experiences when travelling abroad. Marie gave us a short introduction to the island when we arrived along with some of the local wine and delicacies. The location was great as well.

Review 20:The wifi wasn't the best in the room. But overall not too bad.

Review 21:-Hospitality & Kindness of the staff -2 Min walk from the best beach and the affordable and good restaurants. -1 min walk from the bus to Fira&Oia -Close to akitori as well - The room was perfect for my friend and I. -The service could not be better. -The owner is super nice, helpful/ressourful. -Quiet Neighborhood

Review 24:The shower water gets cold sometime, and need to wait a long time. The wifi don't work in the room.

Review 25:If you rent a car, then pick this hotel is great. Otherwise, it is a little far to those major places. The owner is nice, he picked us up at the airport. The breakfast was great.

Review 26:What I liked best is the hospitality of the staff. We are treated like family. They are very helpful with travel information and needs. We felt home away from home. Our stay was pleasurable with them.

Review 27:Nothing, we truly enjoyed our stay!

Review 28:We loved staying at the Villa Kostas. The owners were so incredibly helpful! They picked us up from the ferry port to take us to the hotel and when our ferry back to Athens got cancelled they took us to a travel agent to see what we could do, and then lets us stay the day at the Hotel until the ferry left that night at 11! We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and they gave amazing information on the island and what to do. The location is perfect for the warm weather months as it is about a 3 minute walk to the black sand beach!

Review 29:We came mid march, and unbeknownst to us, the whole island was in off season making repairs for the upcoming tourist months. The location was great (particularly for the beach, which in season I imagine being beautiful, and quite packed with people enjoying the santorini waters). However, when we were there it was a ghost town. Restaurants were closed and boarded up, the pristine black sand beach was empty of anyone, and the buses didn't come often or at all.

Review 30:Room was comfy, very clean, had a heater (we came in off season), and was close enough to the beach you could trip on your way out and hit the sand.

Review 31:Our room had a private balcony, was spotless clean and the couple running the place were extremely nice and gave us a warm welcome and really good tips for our stay in Santorini.

Review 32:The WiFi doesnt really work in the room but in the main area of the hotel. In the off-seasons, there are only a few bus lines from the hotel to main tourism spots (not a problem for travelers who rent a car but for those who depend on the public transportation).

Review 33:The couple who runs the hotel was really nice and helpful. Good value for money. Breakfast is great.

Review 34:internet does not work in the room, just in the common area very close to the router.... with cold and rain almost impossible to use. Hot water in shower you have to advise before use and hope there is someone there to turn it on...

Review 35:lovely people, took us around when needed, pick up up in the port and then to the airport. introduce with a wine and telling about the island and where to go. amazing!!!!

Review 36:All was simply perfect: the building is wonderfully designed, every room with private terrace, nice interiors, but the best is the simpathy and kindness of the owners, perfect example of traditional greek hospitality

Review 37:The bed sheet is a bit humid and we didn't get enough hot water for the first night... but it is winter in a mediteranian island, so it's quite acceptable.

Review 38:It is quite fortunate that we chose Villa Kosta! We got picked up in the midnight from the port with our extremely friendly host. They helped us with everything and offered a cozy place to stay and an amazing breakfast! The black sand beach is quite close. Our hostess Mary is a wonderful guide who knows everything about Santorini. Sincerely thank you and we will definetly recommend villa kosta to anyone who plans to spend a cosy holiday in Santorini!

Review 39:I liked everything.

Review 40:My stay was made memorable due to the owners warmth and passion for their island. As soon as you arrive you are greeted personally at the port and arrive to a glass of local wine. The owners passionately give you good advice and information about their Island and the sites to visit. I had a wonderful time - I found them very hospitable and accommodating and for the price it's exceptionally warm and a fun place to be. I even grew attached to the owners dog, the beautiful Valentino!

Review 41:some facility not work well, but believe the host will fix it if informed; me just go with it, not quite a big deal

Review 42:relaxing evironment, near beach and bus station, ancient thera; host provides airport pickup and delivery servic which helps a lot.

Review 43:Everything was perfect!

Review 44:Vassilis has been an amazing host to us, very kind and helpful. He welcomed us with wine and some greek specialities, gave us great advices, let us borrow some bicycles... Our stay in Vila Kostas was definitely great, though much too short!

Review 45:Wifi is patchy and only really works in courtyard.

Review 46:Owner was so nice!! Gave us a welcome drink and snack with amazing tapenade. Gave us a parting gift ame snack as well. Dog is adorable.

Review 47:Definitely ridiculously overpriced for what it is. Locally there are much superior hotels for the same money. Just can't compare really.

Review 48:Friendly couple. Free transport from ferry port.

Review 49:The location is great, only minutes to the beach and close to all the shops. The breakfast was terrific - it was brought to our room each day, so we could eat it out on our large balcony. The owners are incredibly kind, helpful and even brought a surprise ice cream to our room one day as a special treat. We can't say enough good things about this place and it's owners! They go out of their way to make your stay perfect. We brought our own dog with us during our stay, and it was a great experience and definitely recommendable.

Review 50:Facilities in the room are very basic and breakfast can be significantly improved. If you are a picky person, I would not recommend it.

Review 51:Excellent value for money, 2 min walk to black beach. The property was run by a wonderful couple, who really went out of their way to make things possible for us for example mid-night departure, etc.

Review 52:Nothing!

Review 53:We had a lovely time in Santorini at VIlla Kostas. Mary and Vassilis are amazing hosts, they came to great us at the port and gave us lots of good tips on what to see and where to eat. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the island!

Review 54:Definitely not the ideal showering experience for a North American.

Review 55:The couple who own and run this villa could not be nicer and more accommodating. They go out of their way to make their guests feel very welcome and comfortable. They offered us a one-day tour with a local tour company for the cost of 30 euros which proved to be extremely complete and worth every penny. It lasted the entire day and we saw and experienced so much. The location of the villa is very close to black sand beach and restaurants.

Review 56:The WiFi conexión didn't work, the owners couldn't speak english so it was sometimes a problem

Review 57:It was quite, next to the center,confortable...pretty nice for the price...cause it was cheap

Review 58:Kostas and his wife are the friendliest and most accommodating people. They picked us up from the ferry and drove us to Villa Kostas for free. The location is great, a five minute walk to the beach and a bunch of great bars and restaurants. The aircon worked well, and the room was spacious. We had a flight to catch at 2AM and Kostas offered his driving services for the low price of $10. There is a tasty breakfast daily from 8AM-11AM.

Review 59:it was all great!

Review 60:I stayed here as a solo traveller and from the moment I arrived i was welcomed warmly by the friendly and hospitable hosts. they even gave me a glass of local wine while I got settled, and later while I was working on my laptop, brought me some watermelon - just because! Nice rooms, well maintained and close to the beach and restaurants. They even gave me a little parting gift when I left. Honestly, after 7 months of travelling this is one of the most accommodating places to stay, absolutely lovely.

Review 61:The free bikes are all broken which was disappointing. The bed was quite hard and the shower curtains don't go down the the ground so you make a mess every time without fail. The views are of empty plots of land and half finished houses but that's not the hotels fault that's the Greek economy.

Review 62:We could not rate the owners any higher, they greeted us with wine and grapes and the breakfasts were great. The room was basic but very clean. The transfer from the port was so appreciated especially amidst the chaos of departing the Blue Star Ferry. It's only a short walk to the beach with the bars and restaurants only minutes away. I would really recommend this place for a great cheap stay but don't expect luxury.

Review 63:The bathroom.

Review 64:Maria and Vasilis are the best host. They always there to help us and give everything we need if they can. The hotel has the best location, near to the beach, bus stop and tavernas.

Review 65:The bed was uncomfortable.

Review 66:Great location which was easily accessible to all other parts of santorini. Being collected from the airport was a great service. Lovely couple and they were very helpful. The accommodation was such great value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend villa kostas.

Review 67:the wifi is difficult to connect. maybe because we lived in the highest room i think. :P

Review 68:Free transportation from the airport, and we arrived at the airport at 2:00 am . It's the midnight ,you know. And Mary's honey picked us up. I was moved~Free delicious breakfast. Mary and her husband are so nice and helpful.Villa Kostas is near the beach and just 3 mins can get there. And it's near the bus stop also, just 2 mins.Everyday someone tidied up our room.Thank you for giving me a amazing stay in Santorini. I would recommend Villa Kostas to everyone!

Review 69:The wifi could work a little better, but it's not a necessity. You're on holiday so relax & talk to your family or friends.

Review 70:My partner & I really enjoyed our two night stay at Villa Kostas, Mary & Vasilis (hope I spelt that right) were so lovely in taking care of us. Vasilis picked us up from the airport & they allowed us to check-in at 7am, so we could catch up on our sleep after being awake at 3am for our flight there. Breakfast was great & we would love to visit again...did I mention it's under a 5 minute walk to Perissa Beach!

Review 71:That we stayed only for two nights.

Review 72:Great owners, Mary and Vasili are such great people. Comfortable stay and fun time from very beginning till very end.

Review 73:Not a great view from balcony.

Review 74:The owners were extremely helpful and went out of their way to please. They provided a kettle for my mother and even took us to Valchada forthe beach. One day when they saw us on the balcony they provided uswith a lovely bowel of fresh melon. Very convenient for buses to placesnear by. Informed us of good places to eat such Gods Garden. A veryenjoyable week.

Review 75:Mary and Vasilis are amazing hosts who made us feel at home since our very first step in Villa Kostas. The room was clean and tidy in its lovely Cycladic style. The private terrace is definitely a plus; our private breakfasts on the terrace were such a treat! Breakfast was simple and delicious. Always willing to help us getting the most from our week in Santorini Mary suggested the best places for sunset viewing and recommended excellent taverns. Her tips were precious to us. We had such a wonderful stay and felt so cared about during that week that we think of Villa Kostas as one of the best hotels you can go for. Mary, Vasilis we'll be back soon!

Review 118:One day was a bit rainy ;)

Review 119:We saw this hotel had very nice review and reasonable price. A couple running this hotel was one of the best things on our holiday. They were super helpful and very warm persons. Breakfast is pretty simple, bread, juice, coffee, cake and yogurth/fruitmix..but I think its very ok compared to price of the room. About 15min to Fira by Scooter.
