Reviews for Parc Hotel Gritti

Review 1:The hotel is very hard to find, signs for the hotel in the grounds were covered by bushes and some of the gardens were over grown. The decor (and especially the gym / fitness area) hasn't been updated since the 1980s. The breakfast food was not fresh, the buffet choices were poor and there was not a good coffee in sight.

Review 2:The location at the lake shore is great. Friendly (if a little distracted) staff.

Review 3:The view wasn't very good, and the Hotel could have had a better design to take advantage of its location, but we only used the hotel as a base.excellent location, not the greatest view!

Review 4:We loved the location, the rooms were comfortable and the bathroom and Shower were very good

Review 5:The rooms were clean but very very dated and in need of refurbishment. Breakfast catered for all inclusive and was cold.

Review 6:Location, Bar and Pool area was lovely and clean, staff were friendly

Review 7:Smokers!! Should be segregated to their own corners in the public places. Why is the free wi-fi still a conundrum to connect to?

Review 8:Returning for the fifth year this time to a more modern room. Clean well presented room with good facilities. Breakfast is always fantastic. The poolside entertainment was good in the evenings. Free afternoon tea and a great pool with good bar facilities. Free parking. Close to local town and harbour. Worth paying that extra for.

Review 9:Room terraces very dirty. Rusty rails. Bad smell in tne room. It needs refurbishing. Definitely not a 4 star. Over priced.

Review 10:Thst it is very central no need to drive in the evenings.

Review 11:Free WiFi - did not work Room was very very dirty, under the bed and Mould in the bathroom. Did not replenish all the toiletries used....

Review 12:Location Facilities Free water daily

Review 13:The wifi could be improved. The reception staff could smile more, which would make guests feel more welcome.

Review 14:Breakfasts v good choice, well presented and cheerful friendly staff. V well cleaned. Loved the tea and cakes served in a cool area at 4pm.

Review 15:The transfer pick up arranged from the airport didn't show. I phoned the hotel but couldn't get through so after waiting 20 minutes I took a taxi. When I arrived at the hotel the head receptionist was rude and aggressive, telling me I had to pay as I had booked it. I found this quite upsetting and not a good start to my holiday. Also I had asked for a quiet room as I like to go to sleep quite early. They had put me in a room right above the restaurant and the sound proofing was very poor. After 2 bad nights I plucked up enough courage to ask to be moved to a quieter room which they eventually agreed to albeit begrudgingly. It was clear I was being a nuisance. Such a shame.

Review 16:The position of the hotel couldn't be better. The rooms are a bit dated but fine and the food was pretty good.

Review 17:Didn't realise not all rooms have balconies. I had a corner room behind the lifts which was incredibly noisy.

Review 18:Location on edge of lake. Lovely gardens and pool area. Food excellent

Review 19:Confusion with spar facilities of what was actually provided,

Review 20:Very welcoming hotel with good facilities, excellent pool area ideally situated for few days stay at the lake.

Review 21:The staff were rude and unhelpful until my rep intervened. Food was bland and cold when it should have been hot. Hotel stated it was not suitable for children under 10 yrs - there were quite a few of them running around.

Review 22:The hotel was in a very good location to Lake Garda. Would definitely to back there.

Review 23:Staff at reception were not hugely friendly. Maybe lack of English spoken. Generally the residents were older and Saga travellers but this meant there were virtually no young children running about.

Review 24:Just across the road to the mystical Lake Garda. This large hotel has pretty much everything you need.

Review 25:Staff was very friendly and answered all our questions adequately. Rooms were clean and big - nothing to criticise here. We enjoyed the wellness area, which was available at no extra cost.

Review 26:Some rooms have accessibility issues and are not suitable for families with strollers.

Review 27:Helpful staff, spacious rooms with balconies, good service and excellent breakfast

Review 28:Stayed in one of the basic rooms so it was basic, room was fine but bathroom maybe needs a wee bit of attention, wasn't terrible though.

Review 29:Great location, friendly staff.

Review 30:The staff (particularly Reception Staff).....Quite impersonal, uncaring. I thought a superior room would have included a balcony.(not worth the extra money) Standard rooms appeared to have balconies and I suspect no worse than superior rooms.Reception staff couldn't help with a change of room.

Review 31:Everything other than my reported complaints. This is a great hotel,it merely requires a little more consideration for the paying guests.

Review 32:Not much variety in breakfast, all was okay could have been better.

Review 33:Lovely hotel ideal location, good swimming pool. Comfy bed bit disappointed no balcony did ask for one. Really lovely hotel and food in restaurant by the pool was really good.

Review 34:Entertainment next to the pool was very poor. Bar staff next to pool were very slow. Ordered some drinks. When they arrived 15 minutes later they were wrong. Then took 15 minutes to replace them!!!

Review 36:Tres belle situation geographique Piscine agreable Service tres correcte Service chambre impecable

Review 37:It would have been nice to sit out on our balcony and enjoy a nice glass of wine, relax and read a book had it not been for Rude loud Germans who sit on their balconies smoking, with their yapping smelly dogs. If you don't like dogs or the smell of cigarette smoke then avoid this hotel.

Review 38:Air con in the room and position of the hotel all good. Good fresh continental breakfast. The staff are really pleasant and helpful except for the one male member on reception who needs a lesson in good manners. Nice lido with free sunbeds for hotel guests. Bardalino is a lovely town with lots of good resaurants and shops and only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It took us about 40 minutes to walk to Lake Garda, we don't walk fast.

Review 39:Smoking rooms even though I asked for no smoking, the hotel claims booking.com knew of this. Very rude staff that threatened me with Police action because I complained that the airco did not work and my children sat in bed with wet towels to keep cool. Breakfast was overcooked or undercooked . No fruit juice, just syrup based drinks for breakfast. Night time entertainment that would be better suited to an old peoples home. Hotel might have been good in 1980 but only the location stands the test of time. This Hotel needs a complete revamp.

Review 40:Location.

Review 41:Too expensive for what is offered, rooms that have not been refurbished are very old, TV sets either still the old tube models or even where new they are too small, restaurant has an atmosphere like a canteen,

Review 42:The location is good, Parking is convenient, refurbished rooms are good

Review 43:Wifi weak in the rooms and other areas.

Review 44:Good location, great swimming pools, sauna, etc.

Review 45:Quality of the Breakfast

Review 56:pool was dirty

Review 57:Location was great Pool is a good size

Review 58:A bit expensive

Review 59:Swimming pool, Private Lakeside area, and great location :)

Review 60:Never any staff at wellness centre People reserving sunbeds with towels

Review 61:Size of room Lactation

Review 62:Requested room with balcony which we did not get. Rooms were so old fashioned, they really need to be updated.

Review 63:Pool was gorgeous.

Review 64:Over priced, very dated, not 4 star

Review 65:Good selection at breakfast. Great location.

Review 66:EVERY THING. STAFF VERY HELPFUL.COULDNT BELEIVE SIZE OF POOL.QUITE WELL LOCATED

Review 67:It was a bit too hot me me!!!

Review 68:Great Hotel located near the Town, excellent facilities.

Review 69:Free wifi isn't very good

Review 70:Staff in the pool bar are very friendly

Review 71:Excellent location, ladies room, facility to sunbathe next to the lake. Pleasant view of greenery and peaceful surroundings.

Review 72:The rooms were dirty, tired. Not a four star hotel.

Review 73:The location

Review 74:Rooms had all the required facilities but were in need of an upgrade

Review 75:furniture is kind of old, but still clean and acceptable. The wifi was not easy to connect to.

Review 76:Swimming pool, location and the private beach

Review 77:Lovely hotel, fantastic location and friendly staff

Review 78:Nothing

Review 79:The staff, the location, the service what can I say just wonderful

Review 80:The overall quality was really first class

Review 81:Wi-Fi was free; however, unavailable.

Review 82:great location, friendly staff, parking available, well kept facilities, enjoyable stay.

Review 83:the food was not up to scratch. boring, no change, no person to cook eggs for breakfaste.

Review 84:Everything good except food.

Review 85:I had to come home

Review 86:This is a very good hotel in a terrific location with top facilities including a very large swimming pool

Review 87:Location Swimming Pool Easy access from Motorway Free afternoon tea a nice touch

Review 88:Beds a bit hard could hear people walking about above us

Review 89:Very clean and tidy

Review 90:Swimming pool area needs a fresh up. New umbrellas, towels, it's starting to look dated.

Review 91:We have been coming here for years. Excellent location. Friendly Personnel. Very nice room 261.

Review 92:The buffet dinner was poor and so ate out on most evenings. We did try the Gourmet dinner one night which was pretty good though perhaps one course too many. Dogs being accommodated in bedrooms.

Review 93:The staff, the facilities, the location are all excellent. The area across the road beside the lake available to hotel guests.

Review 94:Unfriendly staff - perhaps that the Italian way! Restaurant food poor particularly breakfast. Hotel orientated towards the coach party with set menu's (restaurant closes 8.30pm!) Bar area stark

Review 95:Lovely location Clean

Review 96:the views from the rooms were dissappointing as dense trees were allowed to grow with in touching from balcony. staff lacked friendliness except a couple of bar staff from the pool area and i must say the cleaning staff were good and polite.improvements could be made overnight such as information board in reception.we nealy missed a great market thur morn , outside of hotel that went on for a mile. The use of indoor pool was so relaxing after our bike rides steam room and warm room was lovely.never saw any staff in this area or other guest for that mater. i cant understand why the manager was not encouraging the use of this great facillity. hotel could do with a character who goes around and intergrates with guest it would make agreat difference

Review 97:The WI FI was not brilliant although we may have been some way from the hub. I think the air conditioning should be a client option in May and September. The "American Bar" needs some attention. Once again the service was very good but the place lacks any atmosphere and needs softening with possibly a covered conservatory area overlooking the garden which could be lit in the evenings. The glazed panels on the balcony should be made a little more private for occupants of the most expensive rooms.

Review 98:The staff were extremely helpful and had a "can do" attitude. The overall hotel was hard to fault in many ways, the meals we had were very good. Service was excellent across the board.

Review 99:Web is working correctly only in certain areas. The hotel should have a system of their own - updating !!!

Review 100:Staff is divided in 2 groups. Excellent and Average. Andrea at the desk belongs to one of the best, and is holding the level for this hotel higher up. Everything is working ok, and the breakfast was very good. Parking was easy and the surrounding of the hotel is relaxing. Hotel owners should update the building, because the place is wonderfull, and there´s plenty of space to utilize.

Review 101:- indoor pool not heated - wellness area doesn't look inviting - service at breakfast a bit too eager to clear tables - hotel was very busy so felt a bit crowded everywhere, especially in the restaurants at breakfast buffet

Review 102:Rooms were always cleaned to perfection and stocked up with shower gel, etc., staff was nice and helpful, breakfast buffet had something for everyone's taste including healthy choices and I particularly enjoyed the fresh rye breads, free bottle of prossecco and water and sweets was a very nice welcome present, big outside pool with plenty of sunlounger's, Bardolino is only a stroll away with lots of restaurants and cafe's, bike hire great for a relaxed ride to Garda

Review 103:- way too big hotel (labyrinth) - a lack of personal approach - many package tour tourists - romms are a bir worn out

Review 104:- a great location by the lake

Review 105:We asked for a room with a pool view, instead we got lots of trees therefore insects. We paid extra for a balcony we couldnt sit in.

Review 106:The location of the hotel was ideal, a few steps from the river and short stroll to Bars and restaurants. it was also good for boat trips. Handy for bus terminus for excursions too. A nice touch was they left a bottle of water and prosceco in your room daily.

Review 107:Wifi was only available the first day to be accessed by the 3rd floor rooms after that needed to be in reception to pick it up. Better signs to locate the hotel when driving as shows to go onto the esplanade but you cannot get to the hotel reception from there in a car. had to back track to use trial and error to find it. didnt give description either for drivers how to locate the enterance as hidden back off the front. Entertainment very old fashioned. Water luke warm in the shower, although lovely new bathroom needed warmer shower and bit more pressure too!

Review 108:Location was first class. So ideally placed for strolling into the town or beach. The Lido was great to have use of but need to be there as soon as opens to secure a bed, after 9,30 you would be lucky to get one. Breakfast was good choice and plenty of it. Would go for a third floor room as recently refurbished. liked having a kettle and tea/coffee so with the fridge was great for that morning or night time cuppa. Only hotel out of 4 we staying in on this trip to have it.

Review 109:The room we got smelled strongly like cigarettes, the bath tub was rusty outside and inside and there was a spider web hanging above our bed. On demand we got different room - better, but the first impression unfortunatelly remained. Otherwise nice pool was also bit dirty at the corners and tile joints. We also did not like the taste of the food and coffee served for breakfasts..(had only breakfasts)

Review 110:Overall impression was NOT good and we would not recomend to stay there. Nice reception and helpful staff there. Roofed parking.

Review 111:Breakfast was ridiculous , a real bunfight with the staff taking away your crockery without asking . A melee of people swirling around aimlessly . The food was appalling . Never again

Review 112:The Location was wonderful right on the lake . The rooms were spacious and came with a balcony .

Review 113:Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Decor of hotel was dated. Difficult to get sun loungers around the pool.

Review 114:Location of hotel was excellent. Pool area was clean. Free entrance to local beach area.

Review 115:Staff friendly, hotel short walk to centre of village a few yards from the lake. Nice big outdoor pool with plenty of sunbeds and other chairs and tables scattered around the outdoor area of the hotel. Had good lunch by the pool.

Review 116:I was really dissapointed with breakfast and tea-time. Breakfast weregood in quantity but bad in quality - one kind of salami, one kind ofham and mortadella, several kinds of cheese, and wide variety of jams insmall plastic boxes. The worst were the cakes - only processed boughtcakes! In such a hotel one would expect local made cakes and pies - notjust unpacked things without smell and taste. I recomend eggs andomelets which are good. Second minus is missing zones for smokers andnon-smokers on the private beach and at hotel swimming pool.

Review 117:Hotel is nice, modern and very comfortable. Good location, very quietplace and close to the city center. Private beach is perfect. Staff isfriendly and willing.

Review 118:The main receptionist in the hotel! He is quite an elderly man. He wasundoubtedly the most unfriendly and rudest hotel employee we've everencountered! We booked a superior double room and they gave us a twinroom. When we complained, his attitude and behaviour towards us wasunacceptable. He also lied to us by saying that all the rooms are twinrooms. He sent a going employee to show us a room identical to ours buton our way we discovered a real superior double room! When he found outwe had caught him out, he was very angry with the young employee! To putit simply, the man is a disgrace! The only solution he came to was tojoin our two beds together which isn't acceptable! Also, the airconditioning wasn't turned on in july! Ill put this very simply! Donot stay in this hotel!

Review 119:The swimming pool is very good and the location is excellent as it islocated right beside the lake. The breakfast was also very good.

Review 120:Hot buffet was just warm Piano bar not open therefore had to sit outside in pool bar and first evenings were chilly Entertainment was poor

Review 121:Pool and gardens were lovely Joseph, head barman in pool bar was excellent, very helpful Room was good, bathroom very modern

Review 122:The man on reception was very rude, and not helpfully when we asked with help getting on wifi, wifi was a real pain to get on to ! The room was very dated, and the pictures on line were not the same as hotel ! Very disappointed with this one !

Review 123:Easy parking, complimentary champagne, chocs, and water in room.good breakfast!

Review 124:We were woken up at 7.30am every morning with cleaning and hoovering outside the room in the hallway and adjoining rooms as the walls and door were very thin so could hear most things.

Review 125:The hotel was large and the facilities catered for all our needs. The room overlooked gardens and the balcony was huge. Afternoon tea was a nice bonus and the hotel was about a 10 minute walk along a lovely lakefront promenade with plenty of places to sit and watch the ducks etc. The town was larger than expected so therefore lots of shops and restaurants to choose from and there is a huge market on thursday selling amazing lace and local products. The swimming pool was huge with plenty of places and sun beds to sit and lay around. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The indoor pool and spa area was huge. There were always plenty of parking spaces in the garage. I like the fact that there were lots of different areas in lots of shaded places around the hotel to sit and relax quietly. Nightly entertainment was of a good standard. Best of all hardly any children so the hotel was peaceful and a lovely place to relax and chill out.

Review 126:This felt more like a package tour hotel in the canaries than a lakesidehotel in Italy. The decor was dated and the food was poor compared towhat can be had a short walk away in the town centre.

Review 127:Great location with a short walk along the lake-shore to the centre ofBardolino - just enough to help dinner settle. Good pool area, ampleunderground parking.

Review 128:There was no fish in the Cipriano on the Friday of our visit. The coffee machine pipes needed cleaning.

Review 129:The location was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable and reasonably priced, the swimming pool and lounging area were excellent.

Review 130:Very dowdy needs to be modernized , feels like a retirement home.

Review 131:Rooms old

Review 132:The location was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable, the swimming pool and lounging area were excellent. Really great hotel
