Reviews for Samson΄s Village

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Completely fantastic ! The prettiest accommodation I have found to date (and being a travel agent I have seen a lot). Fantastic and attentive staff. Great location and amazing value for money. Highly recommended indeed.

Review 3:The "system" problem with shower was already mentioned in previous reviews. The curtain is too shot and water is pouring out to the floor, thus bathroom floor is always wet, that's not just uncomfortable but also not safe.

Review 4:Beautiful hotel designed like terraced house. John and Panas host the guests so cordially, always ready to communicate and help with info about surrounding stores, taverns and exta services. Wifi is good within the whole hotel area, apartments are almost fully equipped, if something is missed - the hosts will deliver at once upon request. The place is causing the desire to be back.

Review 5:Really nothing.

Review 6:The location is great, just a block to the beach and cose to the bus stop. And the village has two swimming pools too. The staff there are very helpful. Thanks to John( if it's his name) for picking us in the midnight from yhe airport and everything else. I strongly recommand visitors who love the sand sea and the sun, staying in samson can make u just feel more joyment.

Review 7:The bathroom could have been a little more spacious.

Review 8:Bed are comfortable. Room was all we needed. Cleanliness was superb. Breakfast were beyond our expectations. Staff super nice and helpful.

Review 9:Nothing! Everything is perfect!

Review 10:The hotel is cheap and awesome! I love the blue decorations of the room and the hotel itself. Free of charge of pick up from the airport to the hotel. Once i arrived at the hotel at 9.30am, my room was ready and the breakfast was prepared. My return flight was at 6pm and i could stay in the room until 3.30pm because the room was available! The manager and staff are very helpful and kindness. The hotel is so near with the perissa beach, bus stop and restaurants.

Review 11:Jon greater us when we arrived and showed us to our room, which was clean and we'll a pointed. The hotel is a short stroll to the beach and restaurants. We had a fantastic and relaxing stay.

Review 12:The bathroom requires renovation, as recently it gives an impression as not clean (especially the bath). Other guests had an issue with wi-fi signal strength, but we were happy with ours, likely due to a short distance to router. We didn't use the kitchen, but if someone wishes to do so then probably more plates, glasses would be needed (I assume it can be requested from the host any time).

Review 13:This is a lovely hotel with beach close by. We had a big room for 4 persons with dining area and terrace. Hospitality was great and it was worth to order a breakfast instead of preparing ourself or going out at morning. A swimming pool was also a nice to have, especially if you travel with children. In summary, we have spent a very nice week there.

Review 14:Both John (the manager) and Panos were very friendly and helpful. It was great that they provided a free Airport transfer for us. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Towels were changed every day, and great Tavernas were just around the corner.

Review 15:We had an enjoyable stay in Samson's village. John and Panos couldn't have been more helpful, especially when our luggage was delayed. The breakfast was excellent value for money. We would recommend Samson's village to anyone;

Review 16:The staff promised a ride to the ferry at 1230am. When asked if I could move it up to 1200am he declined. Woke up at 12am, our driver slept in till 1240.

Review 17:Location, Comfy environment

Review 18:The only thing we didn't like was the assistant manager named Panos. He was too popular, rude and not helpfull. It is a pity that he is working in such a nice place.

Review 19:Location and the very clean rooms.

Review 20:Lovely hotel, Panos was a great host, he picked us up at the port and helped us to plan our visit to the Island. Room was beautiful, plenty of space, nice pool!

Review 21:Absolutely nothing

Review 22:We stayed there for 2 nights. Panos and John were very helpful. Panos gave us all the info on where to go and what to do. He suggested good restaurants too for a discounted price. Apollon was the restaurant which was just behind Samson's village. Meet Alex there who will make your food according to your taste. Panos arranged for an early check-in even though I din't inform them beforehand. One night we were lost on our way back to the hotel and it was John who was kind enough to pick us up at that time of night. Next morning our flight from Santorini was early and it was again John who was at my room sharp at 5.45. All in all an unforgettable stay and made good friends in short time.

Review 23:There are many beautiful sofas in the open air and they would be more comfortable if they could be cleaned.

Review 24:The hotel is really beautiful with blue decorations and flower blossoms. The staff is the nicest and the most friendly I have ever met. They offer free service of ferry and airport transfer. I will definitely choose to stay here next time in Santorini!

Review 25:Pool sunbeds are a little uncomfortable. Kitchen could be better equipped.

Review 26:Right next to the beach and restaurants. Staff friendly and very helpful. Quiet. Quad hire excellent value so travelled easily all over the island.

Review 27:A comfortable older style unit, very clean, close to Perissa beach. Plenty of bakeries and restaurants nearby. We rented s bike to travel around the island. The two hosts were very helpful and courteous with free transfers from the port.

Review 28:Everyone was very warm towards us and so friendly. The boys tried to help us in every way possible and I really loved the shuttle service they offered for free. Breakfast was amazing and I really can't believe how welcome they made us feel. If I have the chance to go back to Perissa then I would love to stay here again.

Review 29:The assistant manager, namend Panos, was very unpolite and rude. He talked to much, was arrogant and had a strange sense of humor. We travel a lot but didn't see this before!

Review 30:Nice place close to the beach. Clean, good price, good breakfast and kind manager.

Review 31:The assistant manager was very unpolite, rude and not helpfull. He worked there for the first and hopefully the last year. That was a pity because it was a nice place.

Review 32:The location was perfect, breakfast was cheap and good, it was clean and the owner was really a very kind man.

Review 33:The economic state of the country is very disheartening.

Review 34:Service was customized, pliable and exquisite. The staff was warm, inviting and friendly, covering all our questions and tourist enquiries. They used their own island connections to accomodate transportation for us to get to the North in Oia to enjoy the immaculate sunset & offered discounts in local eateries along the beach.

Review 35:We wish we could have stayed longer!

Review 36:WE DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE. We can't rave enough about staying at Samson's village!!First off, I need to tell everyone about the staff. Both John and Panos were not just welcoming, they made myself, my lady and several other guests feel like family. We heard about another tourist being ripped off by a local taxi cab paying 100 euros just to get from the airport to Perissa - we didn't even have to worry about any of this! Samson's Village arranged to pick us up from the airport.Panos was the first to greet us, he was quick to assist with our luggage and had an abundant amount of knowledge on things to do (and for a good deal) in Santorini. When traveling, its always nice to feel you can trust a local who will give you honest answers. We were very pleased with our accommodations. The room matched the pictures and was exactly as described. All the toilet functions were operational, no leaks of any kind. AC was functioning properly (trust me I definitely put it to the test) Clean, fresh linens (sheets were a great thread count), decor was definitely a compliment to the local scenery, wifi signal was great throughout the hotel. They even offer a laundry service if you didn't pack enough clothes for your trip! The pool has a very interesting border surrounding it. It beckons for you to jump it! Nice size, shallow to deep, no complaints! Several spots to layout and tan were available. There's a common area next to the pool and bar equipped with a nice large HDTV.John's charm definitely gave us reason to want to hang out at the bar poolside. Super witty, very positive and an overall pleasure - he was very quick to serve us anything we needed. From drinks, to breakfast, snacks and jokes. He even gave us a glimpse into Greek culture, proudly showing us local customs and dances. He was definitely a one man show that leaves every one with a smile.I was there with my lady, but we happened to be there with an entire wedding party.

Review 37:You are a very nice guys - John and Panos. Thank you for all. All staff is very friendly. Absolutely perfect location of hotel - very close to the sea. Pool looks very good and comfortable and bar there also can make everyone laying around the pool a little bit more happy. Nevertheless nights are calm and quiet. Wifi for lodgers. Air conditioner. Transfer from/to airport/harbor. We definitely recommend this place to stay in Santorini.

Review 38:Great location, very helpful and friendly staff. We were there with family and friends. Every morning we would walk out on our patio and saw them next to us or bellow us on their patios eating breakfast. It felt like we lived right next to each other in a small Greek village. I loved it!

Review 39:None

Review 40:Lovely authentic Santorini accommodation, superb location to the best beach on the island, Piressa. Staff are very welcoming and will always be there to help and give good advice. Good facilities and excellent value for money. Ground are very pretty and well looked after, the pool is very clean and nice to relax in.

Review 41:The people at the hotel were very nice with us..the room was so cleaned and fresh and the cool was so good..the only bad thing is the toilet they need some more work but it's ok..next year maybe ..see you next year Samson's John and Panos Pool was so good*

Review 42:Samson's village is a family Business and we could really feel this from the quality of the service and the kindness of both John and Panos. We would definitely go back there if we have the chance to visit Santorini again! We spent 2 nights at Samson's village, they offer free transport upon arrival and when we left, John picked us up from the airport we arrived with missing luggages, he helped us to reach the correct service to claim our luggage and waited for us for 30-45 min while it was hot like crazy outside keeping a smile a welcome attitude! (Thank you again), we had a studio with 2 terraces very clean and cosy place we almost felt at home, the location is just pefect! 2min walk to the beach and restaurants, bus stop, tourism office, supermarket, amazing bakery and ATM machines, of course John pointed all these things out on the way to the hotel. We highly recommend this part of the island as well, away from the hectic Fira (which is still easilly reachable bu Bus or other means), quiet but at the same time all you need is at reach.

Review 43:Thought I had paid on booking - but found out on last day I hadn't so had to pay there & then - could have been a major problem!(fortunately it wasn't). Staff had to multi task so sometimes bar wasn't open in the early evening & they ran out of wine for 2 days!lol

Review 44:Getting picked up at airport, Clean & comfortable & air conditioning .Fantastic staff helpful &friendly. Great pool and surroundings. Close to beach but quiet.

Review 45:Panos & John who ran the property were very friendly and helpful. Good standard of accommodation cleaned everyday. Nice pool area. Close to the beach and restaurants.

Review 46:One of the best hotels that we ever been! Amazing staff, specially Panos. It was a pleasure staying there. The hotel is nice and clean, the pool area is incredible, the outside area near the rooms/flats are super comfy with sofas and chairs, good rooms with AC. Super near the beach as well. They also picked us up in the port and left us there in the day that we left. Very helpful. Would totally recommend for my friends and we will def stay there again!! Thank you for the great time. Jessica and Gustavo

Review 47:Nice atmosphere with a value for money continental breakfast and service with a smile! Swimming pool. Children loved Panos, who brings in the Fun-factor at the hotel. Transport service from Ferry and to airport.

Review 48:not great wifi signal in the rooms.

Review 49:Free airport transfer was great service. Breakfast was really good value for money! Staff friendly with good sense of humour. Nothing was too much for them.

Review 50:The bathroom was a bit small and it could do with a little bit of updating.

Review 51:Panos was a great host. He picked us up at the airport and he also drove us back when we left Santorini. The apartments are clean and nice with good AC. It's a very laid back place were you can relax and enjoy this beautiful island. The beach is 50 meters away and thanks to Panos we also got a discount in a seaside restaurant close to the apartments where the food was amazing.

Review 52:wifi was quite weak. room was clean but bathroom could have done with new shower curtain it was dirty and quite smelly. staff were lovely but a bit informal, there was no real check in or check out process.

Review 53:great location right next to the beach with plenty of restaurants nearby. pool area was lovely. would stay again!

Review 54:John and Panos treated us like family and went out of their way to ensure we had a great vacation. They were fantastic and when we come back to Santorini we will definitely come back to Samson's.

Review 55:We loved this place, it's beautiful, the staff are amazing, driving us to and from the airport (at 5 in the morning!) the pool is lovely after a long day at the beach and the bus and all the restaurants and supermarkets are just down the road, but further away from the main towns meaning you don't get as many people and it's more relaxing.

Review 56:the room was smaller than the photos but was clean. The noise around the pool area was really loud at nights so it was difficult to get to sleep some nights! The Wifi was intermittent.

Review 57:Great location near to the beach and many restaurants.Pool was clean and the staff friendly. The free collection from the airport was great and John was really friendly and helpful.

Review 58:Everything about our stay at Samson's was perfect! John & Panos were fantastic hosts and the location of Samson's is ideal! We will definitely return 10/10!

Review 59:Showers need a good makeover, can smell badly at times!.. Don't have the breakfast not worth the money.

Review 60:Close to the beach and main street, swimming pool nice but small.

Review 61:Everything was perffect. If you choose vacation in Samson's village you won't be regret.

Review 62:Very nice decorated hotel, blue and white style, with a lot attention to details. Verry friendly staff, John and Panos. Room had everything we expected, and even more. I would recommend it to a friend.

Review 63:Small shower with curtain that tended to get out of place and thus have water all over the bathroom floor.

Review 64:Great staff, John and Panos were extremely pleasant and helpful. Shuttle service to and from airport. Excellent location to Perissa beach and restaurants.

Review 65:wifi is so slow, the only dissatisfaction

Review 66:Barnos is so funny and nice, always makes us laugh and even picks us up when we get lost. And the hotel is amazing, great location and design,it's near Perissa Beach, not crowded as other places and can walk 5minutes to bus station,we only wish to stay longer!

Review 67:The staff is super friendly and helpful. The facility is extremely well kept and in convenient location next to the beach, hike trail and ancient Thera town. Thank you Pavlos and John for helping to make our vacation a memorable one.

Review 68:Water kept pouring out from the shower curtain onto the floor and it didn't drain very well.

Review 69:The staff was very friendly and pina coladas by the pool was great!!

Review 70:Panos (the administartor) is sometimes too "friendly", so it can even become impolite. Brakfast is declared, but not served during the 'breakfast hours'.

Review 71:Location is perfect, exterior and enterior are very unusual, but nice! 2 minutes to the beach.

Review 72:A lovely airy room with plenty of space. Very clean with bedding and towels changed daily. Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating . Panos and John did all they could to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. It was great that Panos came to the ferry to collect us on arrival and drove us to the airport on our departure. We would suggest that people stay at this location and would definitely go back.

Review 73:The only thing we didn't like is that we didn't stay longer atSamson's Villas!!

Review 74:Samson's Villas was great! Clean, beautiful, functional and thestaff was simply the best! Great greek hospitality! Yannis and Panosand the ladies were really friendly and took care of every single oneof our needs (airport, breakfast, late check out/early check in,beach towels, etc) Beach was closer than I thought. Wi-Fi everywheresans problems. Thank you all for your kindness and hope to see youagain soon!

Review 75:Bathroom a bit small but that is not a major issue

Review 76:Rooms are comfortable, Panos took good care of us. The beach is very close and everything was convenient..

Review 77:I can't think of anything bad!

Review 78:Samson's is about 150 metres from beach (fantastic location in Perissa) and the service is excellent. The accommodation is a family business and they try really hard to keep the place clean and tidy (rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels provided). The pool is immaculate. We loved it.

Review 79:nothing

Review 80:We contacted the hotel bf arrival, they picked us at port on time at 1 midnight. The guys at hotel are really helpful and easygoing. We got a room with a balcony and very nice design , love it. The location is convenient although it's far from the main tourist center but close to the beach and shops and restaurant. It's quite cheap to rent a car from here. We left quite early at 5 so they drove us to the airport ,very nice people and good service. Will recommend to my Chinese friends definitely.

Review 81:Yanis and Panos, the managers, are very friendly and can't do enough for you. They will provide you with free airport transfers, huge breakfasts, somewhere to keep your cases, before or after you check in/out, and will help you in any other way they can, including printing out boarding passes, advising on boat trips, car hire, restaurants etc. For only 5 euro a day, you eat breakfast like a king, with a selection of croissants, toasties, cakes, yogurt, honey, fruit, juice and hot drinks, and can have supplementary, poolside snacks, throughout the day, for very reasonable prices. Samson's Village is located just 1 road away from the beach strip, with loads of restaurants and bars, and, of course, the beach, just 2 minutes walk away. Samson's Village has a lovely, secluded pool, which you can retire to when the hustle and bustle of the beach gets too much, and, when it's time for bed, Samson's Village provides a nice, relatively quiet hideaway. The maids are very thorough and our room was cleaned to an excellent standard, with fresh towels provided, every day. Samson's Village is a friendly, relaxed place - perfect as a base for your holiday.

Review 82:1. Free transfer from/to port or airport. 2. Really nice and handsome host. 3. 3 mins walking distance to the beach. 4. Clean and beautiful villa. 5. Great place to relax. 6. Cute cats.

Review 83:The management and staff were extremely friendly, any problems were sorted immediately. Samson village resort was always clean, calm and relaxing. Going back next year

Review 84:All the staff were extremely friendly and the complex exceeded expectations. The location could not have been better placed for the beach, resturants, local amenities and transport.

Review 85:Location, cleanliness, Jon and Pianos made our stay soy much fun. The pool and bar area were inviting and comfortable. Area restaurants were fantastic. Bus to get around the island was 2 minutes from hotel. We plan to go back with more of our family.

Review 88:I found the stairs up to the loft bedroom to be steep (not good for those who do not like heights). Also, I was worried about whether the loft floor was study enough to hold our weight as we slept (apparently it was!)

Review 89:The room was very clean and had a large patio! The staff were friendly and helpful! The beach was a short walk away, and the pool was right outside!

Review 90:Cons: the showers could use a bit more space, maybe take out the curtains and replace with glass. Could do away with the breakfast. There are restaurants within a 5 min walk from the hotel that serves omelettes while overlooking the sea. Buy toiletries

Review 91:Samson b&b was amazing! Definitely a place that I would go back to. We stayed in Perissa because we like the beach. Pros: loved Panos and John who made sure that we have everything that we need. You don't see that kind of hospitality in big named hotels. I loved that they took care of all our concerns. They took us to the airport for free and they made sure everything was comfortable. If something broke, they fixed it. Beds were comfy. It has a full kitchen, hair dryer. Also, they helped us with a couple tours. panos answered all out questions about santorini

Review 92:Everything! The property is really beautiful and well taken care of, so is the swimming pool. John and Panos are the greatest hosts ever. The free airport shuttle service was really convenient. The beach is super close.

Review 93:Swimming pool seating area could be more organised.

Review 94:We lived at Samson's Village for a day, but I must say the location is Excellent. It is situated very close to the Perrissa private beach, also very close to restaurants, lounges. The entrance to Samson's village is very nice. John & Panos, both are great host and are very helpful. Their recomendation of restaurants is also good.

Review 95:The only two things i did not like was that the Wifi signal failed about 3 times during the late night. The shower area is very small but for the price and quality of stay i would come back without hesitation!

Review 96:The location of the hotel is perfect! It is about 2 blocks from the beach. Panos and John welcome you and make you feel like family during your entire stay. Panos has a great personality and will help you w/ rentals, restaurant recommendations, tours, a drink or two at the bar ;) He is seriously AMAZING. Outstanding service! The rooms have everything you need and are cleaned frequently. I love how it feels like a little apartment.

Review 97:The room we had was nothing like pictures disappointed . Check out was 12 noon . When I got back to check out at 11.40 are cases had already been put outside the apartment in view of all . No secure room to leave luggage.

Review 98:Location, pick up from port and drop off at airport

Review 99:The wi-fi connection is a little bit slow. Also if you want to explore the island rent a car because Perissa is in the south and takws about 20min by car from the airporrt.

Review 100:The breakfast is good and the staff are really lay back and helpful. You can hang around the swimming pool and get free drinks! If you aren't exploring the island and want to be only in the beach you have one just in front of Samsons

Review 101:The only thing that wasn't 100% was the wifi signal. Inside therooms it was not strong. Nothing that couldn't be managed though.

Review 102:The property was beautiful and very close to the beach. The rooms werespacious and very clean. Fresh linen and the cleaning service came everyday. The staff was super friendly and helped you every way they could:from renting a car to planning day trips about the island, to making anamazing freddo cappuccino! The staff was so friendly, they even pickedus up at the port when we arrived, and dropped us off when we left.Overall, we had an amazing time at Samson's!

Review 103:Its a great place to stay at Perissa Beach. Its close to the Bars and the Beach itself. Samsons is well kept and clean... Panos and Jon are great host.

Review 104:Bathroom products not provided - byo.

Review 105:Wonderfully helpful staff, particularly John, who met us at the airport when we arrived and took us to the port when we left. Great location very close to the Black Beach and Ancient Thira with other shops and amenities nearby.

Review 106:That had to be only one week... Everything else was perfect.

Review 107:A perfect place to have a holiday, perfect silence when you need, very close to the beach and very nice people.

Review 108:The cooking plate need a very long time heating up the pan. About 1 hour. This should be replaced by the time.

Review 109:Really near the beach. Nice people! Good service!

Review 110:I bit noisy in couple of nights cause maybe someone had party somewhere (fireworks or something?) In our room the shower space was very small but in other room it was ok (we had 2 rooms cause we were 5 persons).

Review 111:Excellent service. We really recommend Samson's Village. We were even taken from the harbour by the owner cause it was very late when we arrived in Santorini And we were also taken back to harbor! Good facilities and very pleasant environment. Beautiful rooms.

Review 112:The layout of kitchen and bathroom could be improved, kitchen lacked plug sockets for appliances so we had to plug in kettle and grill on bedside table :-/ also no smoke alarm fitted, the shower area was very small and could do with updating.

Review 113:Owners/Staff were lovely and always happy to help, location was great, nice clean pool and communal dining area/bar, apartments generally clean. Beds nice and comfy! Good wardrobe space.

Review 114:I really like the room here. John is very kind. He's a good man that I've ever known in Santorini. Best recommend this hotel to everyone esp. couples or groups of friends.

Review 115:Great location next to beach. Very clean. Pick up service much appreciated. Were glad to have a kitchen after a couple weeks of restaurant meals. Staff awesome.

Review 116:Exceptional service by Samson village team - John . He was kind enough to wait for us to pick up for free from the port even when the midnight train was delayed by 3 hours . Room was excellent and very clean .. We had a lovely vacation in santorini .. All thanks to John .. Excellent connectivity by bus to fira and oia . Very prime location, black sand beach just 2 min walk .. Must stay !! Lovely ambience

Review 117:Lovely stay at a really nice luxurious place - swimming pool sparkling even in low season - we were given the option to choose a studio and had the best one (a 3 bed) although we were 2 people with two balconies - light with enough living space - noise free - WiFi excellent - Cleanliness superb - close to beach and restaurants as well as town/shops and bus stops. Free collection and drop off at port even though we left at midnight - John were always friendly and nice. We even received a discount at the Acropolis restaurant for staying at Samson's - an excellent restaurant where we ate Greek cuisine.

Review 118:Very beautiful villa with walk distance to the beach. John is cool. He picked up us from the port and drive us to the air port by free with his BMW. Rich breakfast. Hope could be back again.

Review 119:Internet/wifi was way too overloaded and often unusable. Plenty of breakfast, however not very interesting.

Review 120:Really beautiful place and great service. Impressive value for money.
