Review 1：There were some short hairs "woven" into the duvet cover. I believe they went through the wash and the place was very, very clean, except for this one thing. I am not even sure how you check for that. It was a new one for me!
Review 2：It was warm and clean and the parking was right across the street. The bathroom was big the living area was clean and comfortable.
Review 3：there were no tools available to clean the dishes I used. I would like to have left the place cleaner, but it was impossible.
Review 4：This comfortable apartment was the perfect place to stay on my last night in Iceland. Although I was sad to be leaving, the coziness of this place allowed me to insulate my woes.
Review 5：Big enough for 2 but the single beds are each against the wall which I'm never fond of (but this is unavoidable because of space). Comfortable though. No complaints.
Review 6：We were in the ground floor studio and it was lovely. No one above so nice and quiet. Doesn't look much from the outside but really clean and nice inside. Very well equipped and a lot of effort made to make it look nice and stylish. Car parking right outside the door.
Review 7：Nothing really - a very slight damp issue in the bathroom... but not problematic at all - especially if you follow the instructions provided.
Review 8：We liked everything about our stay. Very good location to see the old town, the Settlement Museum (we had a lovely dinner there) and the port. The room itself was comfortable, warm and had EVERYTHING we needed. We never really saw the staff (because it is a self-contained apartment) but this was not a problem for us at all. The check-in procedure was well communicated and there was lots of information provided about the area, the apartment and everything else we wanted to know!

Review 11：The facilities in the apartment could do with updating, cutting up an apple with a knife 30cm long is not easy. The lighting needs to be improved and the dripping outside the building onto the bathroom vent woke me.

Review 16：The apartment was beautiful. We would have loved to stay longer. The location was great, in the heart of Bogarnes. The staff were very prompt contacting us after our booking. We plan to recommend this place to friends travelling to Iceland next year.
Review 17：The rooms on the upper floor are not designed for the tall (or even those of average height). It did not affect us, but others should be aware. The apartment in which we stayed seems to those coming as if it is the check-in area; this led to several people knocking on our door us to ask to check in. This should be addressed. There is also, it should be noted only one bathroom.
Review 18：Beautiful apartment, clean, good laundry, good location in Borganes. For breakfast, there is an excellent bakery with great views a short walk away.
Review 19：Alert: we were not pleased about the final cost of our room. Our rate, as quoted by booking.com, was for one person. When the hotel confirmed the reservation directly, they asked how many people there would be. When we responded that there were two, we never got any indication of an increased rate for two. When we arrived they told us of the significantly increased rate because there were two of us. When we told them we had no knowledge of this fee increase, they wouldn't negotiate any reduction. We think it is a very poor policy to apply extra charges, after another rate has been confirmed. This was not an error on the part of booking.com, as it was the hotel itself that did not inform us of the increased rate, when we said there were two of us.
Review 20：Overall the facility is very good. Kitchen was a little spare but OK for minimal food prep.
Review 21：Apartment is by the street, with cars and people pass by, rather noisy even at night, ventilation is poor with only one small window. I was charged before the stay by credit card without prior notice, communication with owner is poor!

Review 26：Borgarnes is a quaint historical old town. We stayed in a three bedroom 2-story traditional home with gorgeous mountain views outside the window. We had a pleasant stay for an unplanned stopover.

Review 34：We were greeted by the Host. Very comfortable apartment, clean and new. Supplies for kitchen and washing machine provided. Clear instructions for entry and booklet inside to familiarize you with the area and necessities. We stayed a night in Reykjavik and Akranes first, but if I were to come again, I'd stay here the full time and day trip north/south rather than staying in Akranes/Reykjavik.
Review 35：This is the only place I have ever been told to empty the bin. Instructions in the room make it clear that if you do not take your rubbish out to the main bins your card will be charged extra for additional cleaning! We arrived a little early and went to see if we could check in. The owner was still cleaning the room so we were told that we couldn't use the room (fair enough) but that we would have to wait until the official check in time of 4pm - 3 hours later despite the fact they were already cleaning the room. Instructions in the room asked you to leave the window open while you are out to make sure the room does not become damp Instructions also gave a sliding scale tariff for late departures - paying by the hour for departures after midday - hardly accomodating for those who need a little flexibility

We ordered for takeout at the Chinese restaurant nearby and it was just OK but it was fun to eat in. The washer and dryer were a real plus too! One of our better stays in Iceland. Decor of apartment is great.

Review 47：The only thing that bothered us a tiny bit was that cleaning is required by the guest. You have to wash and dry your dishes and take out the trash by yourself before you leave. Normally, I don´t mind doing these things, but the price is relatively high and since we traveled with children, it took quite some time to get the housework done. But that is only a tiny thing :)
Review 48：We, two friends, stayed here with my two small children (4 and 2) who shared the sleeping sofa/day bed, we slept in the twin beds and it was great. The apartment ("studio 1") is rather small for 4 people, but very tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and nothing is missing. The bathroom is spacious with a large shower and a washing machine. There is even washing powder provided (which we didn´t use, but nice to see that is was there) as well as showering gel. The tv had a broad range of channels, Icelandic and international. The apartment is located in the center of the town and close to a playground, a nice café and a restaurant. The beach is 5 minutes walking distance away. We loved our short stay and will recommend this guest house!
Review 49：Having to put all your washed plates away and taking out the rubbish otherwise getting charged 15 euros for not doing it.I'm on holiday fair enough not leaving it looking like a bomb site but charging if I don't put my places away come on!

Review 62：Owner sent email to tell us where she leave the key (in the box on the door). Unfortantely, we can't open the box after tried serveral times and weather is soooo cool outside. Then, we called owner after tried hard. She explained the same as email without trying to help us by in person. She even don't show "emphatic" or "enthusiastic" to help customer when we are in trouble. I feel so disappointed on this manner. There is no human touch from this place and dont expect help even you are in need or in difficult time.
Review 63：In summary, you will get excellence room but poor service from owner. Dont expect her help even you are in trouble!!! Room is excellent in terms of facilities and comfortabability , all you needs are in the room e.g. Kitchen, rest room, resting area, tv, wifi.

Review 67：The apartment is newly redecorated and very clean. Everything is close by including two big supermarkets and the largest N1 I have seen. I really appreciated the washing machine and being able to relax and watch TV in the living room.
Review 68：Had there been a fire or some other emergency requiring quick egress, we would not have survived. We were warned (when given instructions on how to initially enter the premises) that the door can be tricky to open, what an understatement! Each time we left was a major undertaking. This room should not be let again until the door is repaired. In addition, there must have been some poor renters in the past, because no where else we stayed came with such a set of rules! Be forwarned, the "kitchen" has a two burner hot plate and no oven.
Review 69：Easy walk to the Settlement Center (which is a good place to learn some Icelandic history and a good restaurant). The room could have accommodated two more (a pro & a con), but we would have been tripping over each other.
