Reviews for Classic Hotel
Review 1:The check out took nearly an hour mainly because of telecomms problems.
Review 2:This hotel is adequate. We chose it because it offered car parking and was within walking distance of the main attractions. Unfortunately it suffered in comparison with the hotel we stayed in in Rome immediately before which cost the same but which was significantly superior.
Review 3:There are comments about a limited breakfast. I would agree it was pretty basic but sufficient.
Review 4:The location was ideal- a fairly straight forward drive, parking on site and within a short walk to the main centre and attractions. It's situated on a beautiful tree lined street so out of the main hustle and bustle of the centre. The staff were also really helpful.
Review 5:The staff was out of this world - friendly and accommodating. Most spoke some English, some quite well. Short walk to bus stop. Interesting old building, with modern bathrooms and a lift! Worth staying outside the center for the free parking and reasonable price
Review 6:The breakfast was very poor ( just bread and serials, little fruits) on the second day we came to the breakfast within breakfast hours and there was no clean tables(( the lady at the reception couldn't tell us a word about the history of the place. No ironing available.
Review 7:The palazzo itself. The garden around, the location is quite nice for that money. You may walk to the old bridge via the garden boboli
Review 8:Bed could've used extra pillows . 2 beds were pushed together.
Review 9:Location, free parking, garden view room & friendly staff. We will definitely be back.
Review 10:basic breakfast. mattress too soft. a bit of smell in shower. around 25 minutes to get to ponte vecio.
Review 11:great helpful staff!!!!! nice villa and garden. nice neighborhood.
Review 12:Quirky hotel. Sweet garden and sun room where breakfast can be taken. Free parking on premises which is a must in Florence. Close to city wall and only about a 15 minute walk to Palazzo Pitti.
Review 13:Hotel with character - loved my stay here. The staff were very helpful, even having someone stay up to meet me when my plane was late. The room was clean and comfortable.
Review 14:No negative points
Review 15:Nice quiet location away from noisy and busy Florence... Serene surroundings offered peace and quiet after a touristy day... Terrific staff as helpful with all and bright and cheery...
Review 16:Breakfast room in basement and breakfast was very basic. The hotel has a lovely terrace area that would be a better breakfast location in the warmer months.
Review 17:The hotel is a converted mansion in park like gardens not far from the Pitti palace. Receptionist very friendly and welcoming. Free parking. Room and bathroom good size. Lovely outlook onto garden.
Review 18:The room needed painted and looked quite grubby. The breakfast was dreadful and we went out to eat because the choice was extremely basic.
Review 19:The setting on the hotel was very lovely
Review 20:Room had squished Mosquitos all over the walls. There was no where we could use power in the room at all. Breakfast was "included" but we were not offered nor could find it. The staff were friendly but the place is a little too dated for travellers.
Review 21:Good location, easy for parking.
Review 22:Nothing really!
Review 23:Outside the tourist area in a beautiful tree lined street. Short bus ride to the centre of the attractions/sights. We usually walked (20 minutes). We stayed 5 nights and would loved to have stayed longer. Staff so helpful and friendly especially Benadetta and Sam. Garden atrium for guest use was very pleasant and there is good free parking. Good range of restaurants within walking distance suggested by staff. Felt quite at home. Stunning in appearance as it was a 19th century villa. Great to come back to after a day of sight seeing with crowds. Very quiet location.
Review 24:Due to the thick walls, wifi was slow.
Review 25:Close to the centre (10-15 min walk) Nice location, close to Boboli gardens and Pitti Palace. Nice garden. Free parking. Közel a központhoz, szép környezet, és kert.
Review 26:Just basic breakfast, but it was not big problem for us.
Review 27:Excelent location, just 15 minutes walk with little child to the center of the town. Very friendly and helping staff. At reception they directed us to restaurant area, and explained the shortest path to the town center.

Review 50:Heating was erratic
Review 51:Free Parking Wifi location comfortable bed
Review 52:Bathroom not very clean, an assortment of hairs everywhere...
Review 53:Great location for arriving by car and exploring Florence by foot.
Review 54:Hotel´s street is quite dark and desolated at nigths.
Review 55:Personnel very kind. 10 min from train station (S.M.N).
Review 56:- no sound insulation (could hear a lot of noise from other rooms) - limited choice breakfast
Review 57:- very friendly staff - nice building and garden
Review 58:Have some bicycles ready for clients - is a bit of a walk to town
Review 59:Everything was 'lekker!'
Review 60:Furniture were old AC not cold
Review 61:Staff were friendly and helpful
Review 62:Rooms Staff Location -5mins to regular bus Breakfast great
Review 63:Very old charming villa. There was car parking and a pretty garden. Around a 15 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio.
Review 64:A little bit far from the city centre a 15 euro cab fare each way
Review 65:Nice old style in a quiet setting very nice and clean
Review 66:Nothing :)
Review 67:Everything. Friendly staff and very clean facilities
Review 68:The bathroom was upstairs
Review 69:The hotel fell short of being a boutique experience which it easily could be. The decorations and furnishings are a bit tired and there was a lost opportunity when they served breakfast in the basement when they have a lovely conservatory and tables in the garden.
Review 70:The location just outside of the Roman gate with free parking on site made this hotel very useful when touring. The area around is full of lovely villas and tree shaded avenues. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the room and bathroom clean
Review 71:Room in attic v stuffy and AC not turned on til June until we repeatedly asked for it to be turned on. Small windows in room couldn't be opened as too dangerous for toddlers. I didn't feel the room and the breakfast provided offered good value for money.
Review 72:Staff v pleasant. Location on tree lined street very nice. 15 minute walk to river. Parking and wi-fi included. Spacious room, clean. Safe environment. Child friendly.
Review 73:The hotel is a bit outdated and needs refurbishemt.
Review 74:The hotel is in a great location (nice Villa) that is easily accesiblewith a car. Walking distance to the ciry (15 minutes). Free parking andhelpfull staff. Great bathroom. Nice small garden in the back.
Review 75:None
Review 76:Our stay was very pleasant. The location is stunning and very close to the city center. The staff, especially Sam was very friendly and helpful.Thank you very much.
Review 77:The staff was very nice and accommodating. They answered any questions we had. They also allowed us to leave our car parked in their lot our last day there even after we had checked out. Our boys loved the loft in our room.
Review 78:The king size bed in our room was actually 2 doubles pushed together so you basically could not sleep in the middle and since we needed a room that could accommodate 4 people we were given the room with a loft and the only bathroom was in the loft and was very small.
Review 79:The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They allowed us to store our luggage for the entire day in their office after we checked out so we would not have to carry it around before we left. Facility was very charming and location was desirable.
Review 80:The breakfast was rather poor... We missed the great Italian coffee.
Review 81:Nice location - still not far from the main sights, but very quite and green. It is really old fashioned 'classic', with the perfect towels and high ceilings.
Review 82:had an attic room with only 2 small windows so the room was quite dark, outdated room equipment
Review 83:nice location in a garden area just a few minues of walk to Ponte Vecchio
Review 84:They have some problems with the sewerage
Review 85:The staff is very friendly, the room was clean, the internet connection is ok, they have an awesome backyard.
Review 86:limited bar
Review 87:Excellent location in a beautiful avenue just 10-15 minute walk to historic centre. A character style hotel, tastefully modernized with gated parking on site (especially appreciated on a motorcycle tour).
Review 88:Location was excellent in beautiful tree lined avenue in Florence itself with only 10-15 minute walk to historic centre. Lovely old character style hotel, gated parking on site.
Review 89:The picture on the website and brochure must have been when they firstopened! The bed for two adults was 2 twin bed put together. Thebathroom was horrible - the toilet was literally separated by theshower just with a curtain- there was no separate area - there was nosoap, etc for bathroom but if we asked the front desk they gave alittle one - the hair dryer was like an old vacuum on the wall. Theroom looked old and bedding / blankets were old dingy- room need apaint job and updating.
Review 90:The location was a 10 minute nice walk out of the city which we liked. Some of the staff was friendly.
Review 91:un oartition of toilet & shower room, family member need to wait.
Review 92:5 stars service from all staff. Classic hotel as seen from pictures.nice & cozy lobby in lovely gardenyard by Firenze style.
Review 93:The room however did not have AC and leaving the windows open allowed Mosquitos to come in. Not a lot,but enough for me to get bitten afew times.
Review 94:An easy walk to the city center and the secure parking inside their lot was a selling feature for us. The breakfast was more of a continental breakfast. But staff where very friendly and helpful.
Review 95:A long walk to the City centre but then any closer and parking would bemuch less available and cost would be higher.
Review 96:Very good room. Pleasant surroundings. Good car parking.
Review 97:Although once very stately, the hotel is in need of regular upkeep. Our shower stall, for example had extremely poor drainage, meaning that any shower lasting more than a couple of minutes, had you standing in several inches of water.
Review 98:Hotel Classic was once clearly a very nice property, on a quiet bulouvard, surrounded by a pictoresque garden, and a 20 minute walk from historic Florence. We stayed in one of their largest rooms, complete with a loft and extra sofa. We found the hotel personnell very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was also very adequate. Free parking in the grounds was also a plus.
Review 99:It isn't enough holders for towels.
Review 100:Silence. Style. Parking. We with friends liked to leave in the morningand to go to the center. Number convenient. Wi Fi without restrictions.
Review 101:The roof leaked when it rained (our room was on the top floor). Breakfasts were perfunctory and early from 7.30-9.30
Review 102:All of the staff were very friendly. The hotel is situated in a beautiful part of the city, near the Boboli gardens.
Review 103:The hotel was a little dated with 50s decor and the breakfast was mediocre, nothing special.
Review 104:The location is perfect for walking to centro Firenze! Located in a upper class neighborhood of villas with free secure parking!
Review 105:Not much selection of restaurants near by, but a good pizzeria just 200yards away.
Review 106:Excellent location near to Porta Romana and a taxi rank for trips intoFlorence. Kind and willing staff
Review 107:Heating of the room is bad and can't be regulated manually. Hot water pressure is poor. WiFi access only in lobby.
Review 108:Excellent location, near excursion bus stop. Parking place is available. Good choice in warm season.
Review 109:Location..staff good
Review 110:The people at the desk were so friendly
Review 111:Nice and helpful staff
Review 112:The angel of death that visited during the night!
Review 113:The free sweets
Review 114:Staff very friendly and very helpful.
Review 115:The breakfast was very simple.
Review 116:The hotel is located in a very beatiful place. Shower is very good
Review 117:My wife and I were bitten by insects at the hotel.
Review 118:Location and parking
Review 119:The hotel is at a 15 minute walking distance from the centre of Florence. It is located in a quiet part of town.
Review 120:nice classic style
