Review 7：Ewings is in a nice quite part of Carlow town very close to the main thoroughfare. Staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in Room 2 which overlooks the square, very clean and nice decor.

Review 10：Uncomfortable bed, my back is still sore. No soap to wash hands. Towels well used and didn't smell clean. As bar downstairs there was noise of people talking. No clear place to leave the key on checking out early(9am)

Review 12：During our visit the pub/hotell underwent a needed renovation which actually is positive. Since a pub, it can of course be a bit noisy.
Review 13：The breakfast. We was a bit tired of Irish breakfast so the hostess gave us a much more healthy polish breakfast.
Review 14：A real shame we weren't advised before staying that the accomodation upstairs was being refurbished as the builders were a bit noisy at times. I'm sure when the refurbishment is done it will look lovely but to be honest it is a little shabby and compared to other B&B's in the area quite expensive for what you get. Just lacks the finishing touches and quite honestly think the breakfast should be included in the price and not charged on top of room price!
Review 15：Location was very central to the town and although we were staying in a busy bar, there was no excess noise from it upstairs. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Couldn't fault the service we received.
Review 16：Loud music until 2 am, building work at the time, so I am not sure if the smoke alarms were fully functional. Shower was just a trickle, which leads me to believe the electricle system may not have been fully functional.

Review 23：A female friend and myself stayed in a twin room on Friday night in Room 5. The room was very basic but the beds very comfortable. We didn't get much sleep as there was a disco party going on. The music stopped around 1.30am but by the time all the youngsters had left it was nearer 2am. Then after that you could hear the noise of what sounded like a generator/lorry running which continued for a long time afterwards. Apart from 3 small tubes of shampoo there was no other toiletries, not even a bar of soap was provided for. We could have the use of a hairdryer but had to request this if we wanted to use one. Breakfast next morning was'nt very nice, greasy sausages which didn't taste very nice. Young girl who served us was brilliant, really friendly and helpful.

Review 26：Ewings was in a great location for heading out in town with a few friends. The room was huge! Ewings is literally a stones throw away so there was no need to get a taxi. Really enjoyed it and I will definitely be booking again.
Review 27：We stayed here while attending a wedding nearby. Found the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. All in all a very nice place to stay.
Review 28：The room we were allocated had a patio door with wooden deck with stairs to car park. We thought this might be a security risk. There was noise from the TV and people in the bar but it did stop around midnight and we had a great night's sleep.
Review 29：The room was well laid out, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the bar was nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We didn't have breakfast as we had decided not to order it in advance so can't comment on that. If you do want breakfast, make sure to order it as staff need to be rostered on it seems. We only stayed one night but overall it was a pleasant stay and we would return.

Review 102：€75 with breakfast for a couple, would of got a nice hotel for that. Half a roll of used toilet room in bathroom. Outside balcony door a plank of wood with nails/screws sticking up. Bed is on wheels on laminated flooring. Not worth the money. Breakfast was awful sausages were gone off, egg was half cooked, toast hard. Never had anything like it. No one to complain too, apart from the girl that cooked the breakfast. No one to check you out, just leave key in bedroom door.

Review 113：This is a basic, no-nonsense budget B&B in a pub. Ideally located inthe centre of Carlow town, with the benefit of private parking forguests. The staff were friendly and helpful. An excellent Irishbreakfast was served in the bar. Very good value for money. I would stayhere again if in the area.
