Reviews for Barrow Lodge B&B

Review 1:Everything was great

Review 2:Great location. Mary and George were excellent hosts. The room was great. The breakfast was superb. Would definitely return. WiFi excellent.

Review 3:The couple who ran the B&B were very helpful and extremely friendly. The husband gave us a lift to the railway station to enable us to travel to Dublin for the day . The breakfast was exceptional.

Review 4:I couldn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on that but it was quiet, clean and pleasant, car parking space fine. Quiet for me was the most important.

Review 5:The owners were welcoming, helpful, friendly and relaxed. Our comfortable room had a nice view over the river with swans and rowing boats gliding by. There was ample parking on site. The breakfast was excellent and well presented with a smile and a friendly word ... Freshly cooked locally sourced ingredients We would happily return.

Review 6:Lovely central location to stay for a visit to Carlow and still quiet. The rooms were lovely and the owners were great, even giving us a lift into town when the rain came as we were leaving to go for dinner. They have some great art with unique and interesting pieces about the house giving it a great character. A tasty breakfast which rounded off the stay nicely

Review 7:Our hostess was very helpful and friendly. She did everything she could to make our visit enjoyable. I also watched her with another family and she went out of her way to do all she could for the child.

Review 8:Very clean and central to the town yet in a quiet and picturesque location. Mary was a very attentive host and breakfast was excellent. Really good value, too.

Review 9:a member of staff was very rude. because we are a young couple she did not look happy to see us. she said ''the party is not here'' assuming that just because we were young we were going to get drunk and bring people back to the room even though we are the type of people that would never behave in that way. we were simply there for a break and going to go out for dinner. we felt judged and not welcome!!!

Review 10:nothing

Review 11:The curtains did not fully exclude light as they were on a pole, so the landlady made up a cardboard shield which went a long way to helping the problem.

Review 12:The landlady was exceptionally helpful and fully supported the aims of our stay (family research). The breakfast was very ample and delicious. The town was compact and just sort of nice, even a ruined castle.

Review 13:Wonderful host, clean room, great breakfasts. Mary went out of her way to help us, even taking us to the bus stop on the day we went to Dublin. Everything was great!
