Reviews for Tenuta Venezia

Review 1:It is quite far away from the train station if you haven't got a car, and a bit difficult to find. But the bus stops for Selinunte and Agrigento are less than 2 minutes away, which is perfect.

Review 2:Lavinia was very, very friendly and helpful. The citrus garden is lovely, the lemons smell incredible. Our room was perfectly comfy and very quiet.

Review 3:Noisy birds disturbed the sleep in the night. The staff weren't quite friendly - they were basically ignoring us after check-in (however delivered great breakfast in the morning).

Review 4:Very nice locaton in a citrus orchard, delicious and rich breakfast. Close to town, grocery shops etc.

Review 5:Don't trust the bus connections. Better only book if you have a car!

Review 6:Perfect location! The owner is super helpful and friendly!

Review 7:staff breakfast, my son liked the animals around the property, 10 min. drive to Selinunte

Review 8:Difficult to find it. The price was expensive.

Review 9:Very polite people! Wonderful breakfast! Nice garden.

Review 10:On a cycling trip through Italy, this was my favourite stopover. It was basic, but provided a real taste of Sicily. The owners were delightful, the food delicious and the location wonderful!

Review 11:Very nice B&B: even though I was travelling solo, I got anappartement with a double bed and 4 single beds ("which bed shouldI use?", "anyone you like"). The style is a bit retro butI quite liked that, room was very clean. The owners are so nice, giveyou sufficient information. And the breakfast is simply perfect, best Ihave had during all of my trip! They will not stop offering you fooduntil you are really really really full! Great place, highlyrecommended. (Keep in mind that is a bit out of the city center though)

Review 12:The Tenuta is absolutely amazing! Amazing place in a lemon grove, so many animals and a great family who run this little paradise in Castelvetrano. The breakfast is hands down the best we have ever had in our entire travels, freshly picked cherries, lemons and tangerines from the property's fruit trees, hand baked cakes and hand made marmalade to die for, all whilst in beautiful surroundings to the sound of wild birds, peacocks and the farms chickens., amazing! Vitto and his wife are so friendly, helpful and hospitable we shall definitely be staying again in the next few years when we return to Sicily. Also this location is so close to many archaeological sites, you can go on day trips around the whole rich and diverse Trapini region!

Review 13:This B&B on the outskirts of town, is set in an orange grove with various animals such as chickens, geese, ponies, dogs and peacocks and pretty outside space. We stayed in a comfortable first floor studio apartment overlooking the orchard. We walked 15 minutes down the road to a recommended restaurant where we had a lovely dinner and in the morning we were served breakfast fit for a king with savoury and sweet pastries as well as orange juice, preserve and fruit from the orchard ... delicious.

Review 14:Only the peacocks crowing throughout the night. I am not sure they belong to the hosts, the peacocks might belong to their neighbors.

Review 15:Claudio and his sister are very hospitable. Follow the signs to the B & B because the GPS is off.Lastly you drive down a private drive past a White House and a pink house and park in the pines open area then walk past the bamboo arch down a footpath into a lush garden and orchard and one will see the house on the left . Lavinia offers a marvelous dinner with large portions. The meal was one of my favorites for my trip to Sicily.

Review 16:The room is very old-fashioned, some may like it, some may not. If you are there during cold time, save the warm water, it may be not enough for two people like in our case...and be careful, do not step in sh.. on the ground like I did ;-)

Review 17:Very nice place, large garden, animals, like old italian village. The breakfast was best we had in Sicily.

Review 18:The signage on the street is insufficient and the GPS did not help us. You need a Google Map to find the hotel. The bedding in our room smelled bad. It could be mold or bedding (including pillows) kept still damp. We have complained, but just the pillowcases were exchanged, which did not help. The room was small and there were mosquitoes. At breakfast, there was no cheese or fruit.

Review 19:The friendliness of the owners and the dinner they prepared to us.

Review 20:We didn't speak Italian so we couldn't talk to the owner. She was still very helpful and provided us with travel info for the area.

Review 21:Beautifully presented and delicious breakfasts. Very charming setting with gorgeous landscaping and lots of animals to visit. Charming clean rooms with everything we needed and more. Wonderful setting on the edge of town.

Review 22:It would be nice to have screens on the windows so that we could open them and let the fresh air in. It would also be nice to know which of the 1,000+ cable TV stations were in English (only 1 or 2 that we could find).

Review 23:The host is very nice and has wonderful suggestions about places "off the beaten path" to visit -- we listened to him and were very pleasantly surprised. Also enjoyed the art and the informal energy.

Review 24:Would probably not suit those who spoke no Italian

Review 25:The breakfasts served by the owner were great, set you up for the day (no need for lunch, apart from the odd granita). Warm welcome, friendly atmosphere

Review 26:A little hard to find, the street was renamed a short while ago, so our GPS didn't find it.

Review 27:The B&B is set in the middle of a lemon orchard, the room was spacious with a private balcony. Breakfast was a feast! The owner was very frendly. Selinnte archeological zone is only a 10 minute drive away.

Review 28:everything

Review 29:Poorly sign posted to find!

Review 30:Very comfortable family run complex with too much home made food. Very relaxing indeed.
