Review 11:Its a very nice location to visit the Golden Temple and the surrounding areas. Very good, cooperative staff at reception and also service staff made our stay a nice holiday to remember..
Review 12:the bathroom shower water is smelly, every time we shower the water smells and the food delivery to th roo must be reminded .the breakfst no change everydays breakfast
Review 13:we like the cleaness and the staff are willing help
Review 14:The room was too small for the tariff charged. The bed was also very small for a grown up couple. Morning breakfast arrangements are chaotic and not adequate for the number of guests
Review 15:Travel desk / reception could not help in getting the cab for going to the airport.
Review 16:Ambiance , middle of the market and closeness to Golden Temple.
Review 17:Only a minor thing. It would have been nice to be able to have a beer or wine in the hotel cafe but they do not serve alcohol. For a chain hotel I would expect to be able to do so.
Review 18:Central central and easy walk to the Golden Temple. Slept very well as there was no noise! Amazing breakfast buffet, very delicious western and indian options. Good value for money.
Review 19:Staff at the reception was sometimes unfriendly and not very forthcoming
Review 20:Great location in the middle of the old town and near the temple, nice rooms and rooftop gym
Review 21:Breakfast didn't cater as much to western tastes. Also, No alcohol, not even for dinner. Also location is great for city and golden temple but terrible traffic for getting out a bit to Waggah border. Swings and roundabouts!
Review 22:Location and cleanliness both great.
Review 23:Staff called Sonia at the reception is exceptionally rude, hotel staff act like goalkeepers when letting you enter the breakfast area. Cold water in the shower, even on turning to hot, hairdryer doesn't dry hair, not enough blow force. The electricity went out in the middle of the night (2am), when I called reception to inform them, someone picked up the phone and put it back down immediately as if not wanting to answer the call, surprising that the intercom was working.
Review 24:Beautiful hotel, great location, very clean, very good breakfast spread, almost every member of staff is friendly and attentive
Review 25:Nothing it was poor service and the customer service very poor and the staff and food was hopeless ,and the room was tidy and blood stains on the bed sheets, I request to the guest not to go at this hotel . Very poor.
Review 26:Breakfast is a disaster. They cannot cater for so many people. The waiters start clearing at 10 .30. N start closing up in your face
Review 27:Value for money. Easy to visit golden temple from here Driver complementary stay
Review 28:the room carpets were badly stained & some of the towels were stained/torn. However they were replaced with fresh new towels when housekeeping was contacted. With the stained carpets it just didnt feel like a high quality hotel.
Review 29:Excellent location, helpful staff & good breakfast spread.
Review 30:The hotel is really nice located in the main shopping district near Golden Temple. Since we were travelling with 20 months old baby girl we preferred this property. The hotel staff was good except front desk staff which was so rude that they bluntly reply or deny and amenities First of all they took around half an hour for the check in with no regret of time being wasted, we were coming by shatabadi after 8 long hours journey since we left home in the morning so this delay was really in called for. And when we requested for late check out they just bluntly said no and walked off to offer side ignoring and without waiting for my reply which whiukd not happen in hotel industry. Other than that restaurant staff was nice.
Review 31:I would stay at the hyatt or somewhere else. Too noisy and the staff is not very helpful. My least favorite hotel while I visited india. The only good thing is that is walking distance to the golden temple
Review 32:Very disappointed with the staff at the restaurant. alot of disturbance on the floor all night.room service extremely bad.im a regular visitor of amritsar but this trip the hotel wrong choice
Review 33:Just stayed as it was supposedly a 5 star hotel and nearthe hotel
Review 34:I wouldn't say i did not like but i would like to know if you can improve you internet and wifi. it was quite slow.
Review 35:My stay in Amritsar was excellent. The place was clean. The Room were clean and staff were very helpful and very friendly. Hats off to all the staff there. Breakfast was excellent. :)
Review 36:Apart from the complimentary 2, 500ml water bottles they give, extra water costs 150 INR !
Review 37:It is very conveniently located, at the heart of the city and walk-able distance from The Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and the market with all its eateries and shops. Travelling to any of the local places is inexpensive from just outside the gateof the hotel. The complimentary breakfast is a nice spread and sumptuous...and very tasty.
Review 38:I have no water or brush in my room i have to call room services so many time like for littel thing tawel or shampoo
Review 39:Near to golden tampel .we enjoy our stay .whenever i vist in india i stay in ramada .love this place very special to me.
Review 40:They must improve on the items for toilet s plus the towels must be clean very dirty ones when we visited the hotel
Review 41:They must have clean towels and good soap nothing is there
Review 42:Trying to get room cleaned took a lot of organising Treatment of restaurant staff was awful by guests and senior staff
Review 43:Nice pool Great breakfast with lovely restaurant staff who were treated appallingly by many guests Comfortable Good sized room
Review 44:The house keeping department never provided any toiletoris on there own. Even after asking repeatedly they had provided with reluctance. No body travels now a days with the "bathroom" slippers and "iron" in travel bag. During my stay at hotel, bathroom slippers were not provided at all however iron was provided on demand. Moreover,I had checked in on 19th Nov,2015 and never ordered any food but the amount of Rs 1551/- were added in my bill at the time of checkout (I firmly denied to pay the amount)
Review 45:Location near Golden Tample and cleanliness.
Review 46:Their was a female behind the desk that was very unpleasant when dealing with us. We had a cot in our room and it was harder then the floor. We were still getting noticed of money being taken from our accounts a month after the trip.
Review 47:There were two gentlemen behind the desk that were so helpful and accommodating.
Review 48:The pool side area closes too early.
Review 49:Location ! location !! Location !!! right in the heart of the city with easy access to the sights, shopping and classic food places....
Review 50:Overall house keeping needs a leg up including better toiletries with close monitoring of daily replenishment of tea and coffee..on one day room wasn't made up which needed reminding. :(
Review 51:Loved the location in the walled city next to the hustle bustle including proximity to Golden Temple...nicely maintained new property. Front office staff was courteous and concierge helpful.
Review 52:Could do with a bit of looking after but only minor detail.
Review 53:Friendly staff, good food at the restaurant and great location near the golden temple. Didn't use but glad to have a gym and pool onsite.
Review 54:Aircons & Cable connection for TV. But to be fair, the staff rectified my aircon issues once I complained. Cable set top boxes need to be changed
Review 55:Nice Staff, v good food.
Review 56:Its a lot more than other hotels, but you get what you pay for. Stay on the higher levels in case there is a party downstairs.
Review 57:Immaculate haven in the chaos of Amritsar
Review 58:Not much... But Please take this seriously the coffee at breakfast is shocking. Unforgivable as you have your own coffee shop in the Hotel Lobby!
Review 59:Great position close to the Golden Temple. Just a very pleasant place to stay. If only all Hotels were this good
Review 60:This was the third time and my last time that I will stay there. The food sucked! The house keeping was pathetic and the management was not bothered about all this and more. I felt just because I booked the room on booking.com, all my stay is booked over booking.com this hotel wasn't treating me well.
Review 61:The Location.
Review 62:Amritsar is a great city to visit however it is quite unorganized & "dirty"! Especially as two women we were looking for a hotel to feel safty! So we have been really happy to stay at Ramada Hotel since it is a beautiful, clean and great located! The service which have been provided was fantastic!
Review 63:Unavailability of towels for use. Quality was not up to scratch for such a hotel. Housekeeping was poor in delivering fresh towels or even keeping guests informed when they would be delivered. Seriously let the hotel down in this respect. Wifi service needs to be better.
Review 64:Very polite courteous restaurant and reception staff. Good variety if breakfast options offered. Food was good.
Review 65:The only downside was having to leave to go home...!
Review 66:The location was just about right. Around a ten minute walk to the Golden Temple, with plenty of cycle rickshaws around if you wanted a lift. For a first-timer to India, this was a great place to stay. A real oasis from the madness that is Amritsar.
Review 67:The size of the room very small and not providing complimantry pickup from the station especially when ladies are traveling alone.
Review 68:Location , cleanliness n food
Review 69:Area around hotel not very nice. Need to either eat in restaurant at hotel or take taxi as streets very dirty and nowhere nearby to eat.
Review 70:Lovely hotel, good restaurant, helpful staff. Close to Golden Temple.
Review 71:Service for complaints was very very poor Problem in opening d rooms with card every time gives red light &no one will come to help even after reporting
Review 72:Location was best
Review 73:The AC in Restaurant was always freezing. There is no shaded area for sitting around the pool and the pool furniture is very sun damaged. There is a bad smell when entering the Hotel.
Review 74:Location of Hotel is very good for the Golden Temple. The Food in the Hotel was very good
Review 75:facility of stay for driver. even basic facility of toilet was not proved -.one bed for sleeping of driver was not given. these days most of people travel with driver. at the time of booking hotel i had made this request for complementary stay of driver but it was not taken seriously
Review 76:overall experience was very good. decor, cleanliness and warmth of staff
Review 77:Needs a face lift in certain areas of this hotel.
Review 78:Great location, value for money, this hotel ticks a lot of boxes, highly recommended especially for a western visitor.
Review 79:The only sad part is the food for diinner its didnt reallly live upto the standards that were maintained all arnd..
Review 80:The entire hotel is built around the thought of catering luxury to its occupants. The way the staff treated and attended at all times. The room ws upgraded fr us so a cherry on top ... .. The important meal of the day is breakfast nd they they made a point satify all the senses.... They live up to their name .... Loved the place
Review 81:crowded vicinity rather difficult to walk on the road though no fault of the hotel. toiletries are almost missing except for soap, shampoo and body wash.Towels are of very poor quality and also hardly enough for two occupants.Breakfast though has lot of variety but quality needs to be improved. The area just outside the lift on the ground floor stinks may be because of its nearness to the cooking are
Review 82:Good location near golden temple and duriana mandir also all major markes.Neat and clean hotel with very friendly helpful and polite staff. Walking distance to Kesar da dhabha and Bhrawan the dhabha also near other food joints serving Paneer Pakoda, Jalebi and ice cream Though costly conveyance is easily available just outside the hotel
Review 83:- Air conditioning 'American style', i.e. absurdly chilling
Review 84:- Excellent location - Very reasonable room rates - Very good breakfast - International standard of service
Review 85:There was an issue with car hire and one of the receptionists tried to overcharge me
Review 86:The hotel was in a great location and had great staff. It was very clean and the facilities were also great
Review 87:The last order at the restaurant is 11pm. So one has to make do with the room service. The ground floor lobby area tends to get stuffy with the food smell due to poor ventilation.
Review 88:The location of the hotel is very close to the Golden Temple. Quick Check in and Check out. The hotel staff was kind enough to upgrade our booking to the superior room which was quite spacious. Breakfast is a generous spread of indian and continental dishes. The staff was always smiling and the service was quick.
Review 89:Free wi-fi was a problem as everyday we had to get new username/password which also would not work half the times. The hotel overall had a very peculiar smell.
Review 90:The Location is right in the center of the old city and 5 min by vehicle and 20 mins walking distance from golden temple. Staff is very efficient.
Review 91:Should have free pick up drop facility from airport.
Review 92:Location, proximity to famous landmarks. Amazing hospitality by all staff and mangers at restaurants. Also upgraded my 1 room on theor own. Good gesture...
Review 93:Everyone in the hotel wants tips for doing their job which is very embarassing at times. We paid for a 5 star not to have beggers inside the hotel. This should strictly be stopped as we get out of our comfort zone.
Review 94:Pretty much everything was good apart from one thing.
Review 95:Just that there were kids screaming outside of my room early morning. The soundproofing or room allotment could be improved
Review 96:The staff ensures you have a confortable stay, the food is outstanding. This was my second stay at the property, I will def be coming back again.
Review 97:The restaurant was filled in with some non-veg stuff making us a bit uncomfortable to eat. Hence we opted out to go out and dine.
Review 98:We had briefed stay and felt it was good and comfortable. Also, we had forgotten our charger and the staff was courteous to keep and return it on our return journey.
Review 99:1. Tv was a constant problem, every time we got out of the room, it would lose Signal! Finally the mechanic showed us a Manual switch on the tv which we operated;2. Standard Room is small...much like the European size. So check on the portal you are booking. 3. There are rooms that open on to an Internal Courtyard which is covered...so apart from no view there are privacy issues. 4. Lighting level is low. So if you are getting any reading material, you have to open the curtains, as the LED spot reading lights in our room (329) were old and damaged. 5. The complimentary Breakfast spread is impressive. However, the croissants were hard as a nut and both the times when we prepared 'separate' tea it turned out that the boiled water/ accompanying milk in flask was not hot after all. the guys in the restaurant were apologetic and wanted to get a 'special' tea water from inside. Also the flavored yoghurt in all the flavors was made out of curd which was sour... 6.Some sandwiches turned out to be hard...we just hoped that those were not from the earlier day, a new spoon picked from the spoons table turned out to be dirty...we just thought it to be a 'one of those incidents' and kept quiet. 7. Also, do not be surprised if you do not get a newspaper (we did not get it on the first day)
Review 100:Excellent Location in respect of the Golden Temple and the Cloth Market;parking in basement available
Review 101:Dirty stained sheets which they changed rt away. No meat, but we understood. Left bag of leather gift purses in room and they were never recovered.
Review 102:Pool was great but too shallow. Great breakfast. Lovely lobby area with cool doorman. Nearby Golden Temple.
Review 103:breakfast was poor (hot drinks were never hot, no fresh juice while they are 20 fruitsellers outside the htl) - wifi is not free - swimming pool was not clean and no possibility to sit in the shade around the swimming pool so it's impossible to go during daytime. hotel is boosting on their 8.3score instead of trying to match that score..
Review 104:staff is really friendly and tries to help
Review 105:1. We were checked into a stinking room 2. They exchanged our room and to our worst nightmare we were checked into a room which was totally dirty, unclean 3. We were made to wait further and told no room of our selected category was available and then in 5 minutes it was suddenly available but no one thought of HOSPITALITY and upgrading us if required which is the general Norm in any hotel...
Review 106:Nothing except the location of the property
Review 107:We were constricted to the amount of wifi. We were under the impression we would get unlimited access however had to purchase after 500mb. There was a lot of noise in the surrounding area.
Review 108:Very poor Breakfast menu. They have a "Hotel Policy" for not serving Green Tea to the guest at Breakfast. How utterly ridiculous is that??????
Review 109:Location. Near the Golden Temple.
Review 110:Health awareness Too much salt is used in the cooking .As Ramada need to cater for international travellers . travellers from abroad are used to conception of very litter salt or no salt.
Review 111:Very friendly comfortable clean hotel .
Review 112:No Umbrellas, watered down ketchup on old bottles don't really gel with the overall Versace feel of the property, housekeeping is also not too good and toilet amenities lack finesse, no slippers too. Lack of attention to detail which makes a lot of difference
Review 113:Staff are very polite and helpful, rooms were comfortable. Any issues are addressed quickly by reception staff. Food variety is very good. Very convenient for shopping in hall bazaar and close to golden temple. Overall a very positive/ relaxing stay.
Review 114:Check in time was delayed for more than 2 hours. And it was due to the unorganized way of check-out & check - in. Management should improve this
Review 115:Over all good location and comfortable room.
Review 116:Wouldn't say a bad experience but with great location comes the problem of not having a great view from your window because this hotel is in the midst of a very busy market. But it didn't matter to me really.
Review 117:The location of Ramada is great - very near to Golden Temple and the shopping markets too if you are interested. It's very near to the rail station too. The staff is extremely swift and very courteous. Amazing food too. All in all no bad comments for the Ramada.
Review 118:The travel desk is not always manned. Coffee shop needs more seating space. This hotel does not serve alcohol. Wi-fi restricted to one device.
Review 119:The room was comfortable with house keeping reasonably efficient. The restaurant offer a good choice of food.
Review 120:For an American hotel chain very little English, had to call o get lights fixed, wireless was fluky, breakfast was crowded, unbeLeivably bad coffee and questionable food.
Review 121:Location in a bad city was reasonable for the Golden Temple. But area has few restaurants, unless you like omlettes cooked by a street vendor right outside the hotel gates, and no where to get a beer or drink within a mile.
Review 122:On one day our room had not been cleaned by 17.00 and we had to hassle to get it done. There was virtually no shade around the pool. A few umbrellas would have been very welcome
Review 123:Great location in the heart of Amritsar. A few minutes walk from the Golden Temple. Could not be better located. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We ate in the resteraunt 3 nights and the food was perfectly good. We arranged a tour guide around central Amritsar and a trip to the Waga crossing through the hotel concierge. These worked well and were very reasonable priced. The roof swimming pool was relaxing and clean. All in all we thought this hotel had a great location and was really good value for money and we would reccomended it
Review 124:The travel desk person should spend more time speaking to customers in front of him than being on the mobile phone. It was irritating and didn't feel he wanted to help even though he may have. If he's not ready to speak , he should tell the customers to wait a second or two. The bathroom in Room Number 416 doesn't smell good as ventilation doesn't work so after a day out you come into the room, it smells terrible. I think it may damage the Ramada brand.
Review 125:Loved the location as its closed to the markets and golden temple.
Review 126:Checkin took long time even though it was 1 week advance booking. Front desk Staff of hotels need to be more courteous and show it also.
Review 127:Rooms are well designed, comfortable , spacious (we stayed in double deluxe). Food is excellent both in room dining as well as restaurant. Proximity to prominent city attractions.
Review 128:Stayed for 1 night then went to Jalandhar and when we came back 3 days later the room had NOT be made up and had urine on the toilet seat! Complained to manager, nothing happened, still charged full price … blah, blah. Ramada Amritsar star rating was higher than the Ramada in Jalandhar, but service, welcome, interior and foyer, staff in reception, room was much better in Jalandhar.
Review 129:The room was spacious, entrance and foyer were clean, but cluttered. Good food.
Review 130:Wifi connection not good in room. Also we were told we'd have to pay for a second code for a second device- this wasn't the case for anywhere else I stayed in India this trip.
Review 131:Location and pool lovely. Very professional staff.
Review 132:No alcohol, not even in mini bar or served with meals (not aware of this as proximity to Golden Temple) Extra taxes added to bill
Review 133:Great location for Golden Temple
Review 134:Location was great as shopping was easy and close to the Golden Temple Very good as everything was perfect staff were polite and professional food of a high standard
Review 135:This place is truly sui generis, which means just outside the gates it's all poverty, noise, pollution, litter, ancient decrepit looking buildings, India. It's like a 5-star property in a 1-star neighborhood, but convenient to the Golden Temple, which is what you are here to see. The changing of the guard at Waggah Border Crossing is more weird than enjoyable, but I guess if you are in Amritsar you kind of have to see it.
Review 136:This is a new clean hotel with a rooftop pool luxurious, well-run (except my room key kept getting demagnetized). Cool Indian wedding receptions every day I was here, great costumes. Pretty good food and a lot of it at breakfast. 15-minute walk to Golden Temple, although it's a surprisingly challenging walk with all the tuktuks, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, cows, hawkers, etc.
Review 137:Its about 15 minutes walking distance from the golden temple not 500 meter as updated on the site. But still its ideally located as compared to other 5 star hotels. Rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast spread was very good.
Review 138:Their wifi system was terrible The room cleaning staff were not doing itproperly left the room not hoovered and we had to remind that we were 3off us for towels
Review 139:Right in the centre near the golden temple and shopping
