Comprising an 800 m² spa area, Hotel Lafodia is located on the car-free Lopud Island which boasts 0.7 miles of sandy beaches. It features 2 outdoor pools with unique panoramic views and a wide range of sports and gym facilities. All rooms offer balconies overlooking the sea.
Offering a panoramic sea view, the Waterhill Lafodia Spa is located on the 7th floor and features a citrus fruits essence sauna, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath, cold and flood showers and an ice fountain, footbaths, a relax area and a private area with a hot tub. Six massage treatments using locally grown materials such as Lopud citrus fruits, honey, lavander, rosemary, carob, grapes and salt from Ston are available.
All rooms at Sea Resort Lafodia are air conditioned and have flat-screen satellite TV, a phone, safety box, free toiletries and slippers. Each modern room has a work space and a cosy armchair and provides beach towels.
Guests can relax on the complimentary sun loungers on Lafodia’s nearby beach, and a surcharge will be applied for their rental in the first two rows. The nature trails and sandy seashore can be explored using bikes or canoes available at the hotel for an additional cost. Jet skies and small boats can also be rented on site.
At the Scarlet Restaurant the Italian chef prepares cuisine with a host of Italian and international specialties. The à la carte Restaurant Dalmar Wine&Dine serving local dishes has floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic sea views. In nice weather guests can enjoy their meals on the restaurant's terrace. A variety of drinks are served at 3 bars provided on site.
The Lafodia has a spacious meeting room and multimedia facilities, as well as free Wi-Fi access throughout the property. Bicycles and a ping-pong table are at guests’ disposal. Various other activities like aqua aerobics and massages are available.

Review 1：No little extras which would be nice given the price of the hotel, in fact every morning there was a knock at the door checking if we'd used the mini bar!! Hotel excursions are expensive as are the drinks & food which aren't worth the price apart from the pizzas. Pool was freezing cold!!

Review 2：We had a fabulous stay at the end of September. Room had a lovely view of the sea & island but we didn't really get any direct sun on the balcony due to its position which was a disappointment. Room was cleaned ever day with fresh towels. Spa facilities were excellent, well worth the extra money. Pizzas in the pizzeria are great but the rest of food average & expensive.

Review 3：The spa, the staff and the island. You were able to completely relax as trafficless. You could wander around on your own and feel completely safe as a woman.

Review 4：It was a shame the pool wasn't heated and that you have to pay for the first two rows of sun loungers at the beach. At the beach restaurant I ordered a meal that did not fit the description and was told it was because they didn't have the ingredients. This is a pet peeve of mine, tell the customer you don't have the ingredients and give them then choice to change the order. It was a small thing in a wonderful stay.

Review 5：Beautiful hotel and the staff were great. We were particularly impressed with the chef and wait staff in the restaurant who created a meat taster menu for my husband who doesn't eat fish.

Review 6：The island is beautiful but the hotel is a 20 minute walk from the ferry which could be a problem if lugging around with excessive luggage. I think the hotel should provide free shuttle service from the main land to their doorstep.

Review 7：The cleaning was not to a very good standard. Our apartment was not cleaned one day & on another not all the bins were emptied. There was lots of dust under the bed.

Why do they encourage customers with children to use the other pool however they dont encourage people without children not to sunbathe round the childrens pool? Lack of fruit at breakfast.

Going just by ourselves ( 2 people and luggage) it cost approx £50 and with other people approx £20. The journey is only 10 minutes long.

Review 20：Due to the storms that hit, there were strong restrictions on food options for the first couple of days. Although they ran off the same kitchen, we were reduced to having the buffet lunch when all we wanted was a burger or sandwich.

Review 21：The location and serenity of the hotel was wonderful. I had a spa treatment as well and it was done with such precision and care. Most enjoyable part was having the spa room as it overlooked the island and surrounds from in the spa and room. The transfers were organised for us and if you get the chance, indulge a little and get the private boat transfer. There's definitely something special about being jetted across in the little speedboat with just you and your partner. And because we had an early start before breakfast had started, they had breakfast packs ready to take with you.

No coffee served without asking for attention. Dinner was a mess, complicated sisthem, choose 2 things from card and the rest serve yourself buffet. No waiter at my part of restaurant. Waiting very long for the 2 courses, had to ask, it was forgotten. But kind waiters, and lady at entrance. It didnt taste any good the courses. The buffet was better. All minor things that shouldnt stop you from staying at this hotel. Plenty of coises to eat out of hotel or at the nice beachbar.

Review 39：The location, the view, the beachbar was the best place at night, great music, food nice, some of the waiters were superb, kind funny full of plessure working so hard. Sauna terace up by wirlpool amazing view so quit at night.

Review 40：The food in the Scarlet restaurant was terrible. There was a buffet, which are rarely excellent, so we decided to order off the a la carte menu, however the food was still of a poor standard but quite expensive. We did not eat at the other restaurants in the hotel after that, so i cannot comment. Further, we were there during a tropical storm, which the staff did not seem equipped to handle very well. Despite weather warning, lounge chairs and tables were not secured and blew around. A heavy wooden table on on our balcony snapped in half which could have smashed the glass of our sliding door. The next day there was a tiny bit of rain, but the pool bar remained and outdoor facilities remains closed as the workers were told not to work. This was frustrating to us and other guests as the weather had cleared and there is little to do other than enjoy the outside facilities at the hotel.

Review 41：The views and location are excellent. The deluxe double with hot tub on 7th floor was spacious and the bed was very comfortable we received a complimentary bottle of wine which was a pleasant surprise.

Review 42：Great hotel on a beautiful island of Lopud. Great staff, excellent facilities, with private beach and crystal clear sea. Breakfast was good with range of selection. Overall, I loved Lafodia and I am coming back as soon as possible.

Review 43：Seemed a bit understaffed and could therefore be a bit chaotic. LIttle niggles like table tennis table but only one set of bats which went missing so couldn't use. Beach bar was swarming with wasps.

Review 45：I wouldnt recommend eating anything from the pool bar restaurant as the photos from the menu are not even close to what you will receive, I did ask about it at the bar the lady working was so nice about it and apologetic, she totally agreed that the food was not ok and that the menu with pictures was very deceiving. There was not enough loungers by the pool, they had very few... but you can go down to the beach if you want to find somewhere to lay down. Wifi was really tough work it cut out all the time and sometimes required getting brand new passwords to reconnect.

Review 46：The hotel had a private beach area which was really nice, you could watch beautiful sunsets from the beach bar there and the staff were friendly (slow but friendly) Room was comfortable with a sea view. Location was great just a few minutes walk to all the restaurants and they arranged someone to meet us at the ferry and transport our luggage to the hotel. If you want a modern hotel I think this is the only option on the island. Breakfast was good.

Review 47：Sunbeds on the beach (first 2 rows and decking) are chargeable. I don't think this should be the case for paying hotel guests.

Review 49：Could not control Air-conditioning (it was always freezing cold). It was mal functioning and I asked for repair 3 times. You could stop it by opening the balcony windows, but then there was a hot sauna in the bedroom. So, it was almost impossible to sleep. This is unacceptable on a hotel unit of this kind!! Another issue was the lack of internet access during "peak" periods (after dinner) due to "insuficient ip sessões" Unacceptable on a unit of this kind!!!

Review 59：Non professional staff, bad communication between departments, bad organisation, simple basic breakfast with no variety, no one informed us that we need to book the transportation while there is constant transportation from Brsecine (as they told us), instead of the box of chocolates and a birthday message in a room we were welcomed with the bill and a message for someone (complete stranger, wrong guest) , with no logical excuse or explanation beside "this never happened again" we have received a day in spa no matter that is was 40 degrees outside. Overall not a good experience.

Review 61：Really basic breakfast, not enough healthy variations. Yogurts were warm, the coffee was BAD, eggs were very runny and no sausage/bacon/meat cuts available for those who don't eat pork. Island is too isolated from the mainland, if you want to be able to come and go. A trip to Dubrovnik takes an hour, sometimes more on a boat. The beach chairs should be free for hotel guests. Children everywhere in the main pool area. Staff should have taken children to the kids pools so that they didn't disturb the calm.

Review 62：The most important thing for me is that the room is clean and tidy, and it really was super clean. Staff always made sure to provide clean towels and amenities. The staff at the hotel restaurants and bars were also very helpful and friendly, all spoke English very well. Tea and coffee available in rooms, and staff was happy to provide more if you asked. Great and reliable wi-fi connection. AMAZING burgers at the Baja Grill&Bar.

Review 65：Asked for a nescafe envelope at breakfast and they wanted to charge me, had to pay for sunbeds and if i did not pay then they would not put coushins on, asked for reserved table at night as was told that they never reserve and when i come if i find i sit, lunch time at same beach restaurant i asked for a meal and took them 1 hour to bring me only the food of my wife and never mine as they halved it for both of us without asking. In general, they are over priced and the staff not well trainned. Not yet ready for tourist, only for their money!!!!!!!

We booked our excursion through the concierge desk which was so efficient and professional. All the staff are incredibly friendly and professional and so eager to assist with any requests. The food was good and the location perfect. Will definitely recommend.

Review 75：Definitely the sun chairs are an issue with guests. The tall lifeguard was brash and asked me if I was being sarcastic when I mentioned that he must have a difficult time with explaining the deck chair procedures. he possibly did not realise how that sounded.

Review 78：Just returned from a wonderful holiday in Croatia. We stayed at Lafodia for 3 nights and found one of the best hotels in one of the most beautiful locations we had ever experienced. And we have stayed in many hotels in the past. We're reluctant to say quite how good it was in case it becomes so popular that is spoils the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of the hotel and the island. But the staff and locals of Lopud deserve the recognition of their wonderful hospitality and we thank them for making our holiday so special

Review 79：Booked premium room with "panoramic view" to sea and pool, got a room with forest view and kind of lateral sea view... Very disappointing, after complaining, received a better room. Breakfast should be improved, coffee machine was broken and staff couldnt manage to provide a simple hot milk. Very annoying to pay for the sunbeds at the hotel beach, should be included in the price. Be aware of the ferry schedule, as taxi boat transportation is expensive. Boat tours were not available during weekends, very inconvenient.

There are 4 or 5 excellent restaurants in the village which are reasonably priced, good food and excellent service.

Review 85：Short list of items to choose from off the menus in the resort restaurants. Only could find one cash machine on other side of walkway, 10 minute walk. Had to constantly renter wifi username/password. Beds are ridiculously firm.

Review 86：A relaxing atmosphere and the staff was very accommodating. Location is beautiful, rooms are modern and spacious. Rooms were pretty sound proof. Couldn't hear our neighbors at all. Close to taxi to other beach, and great restaurants just minutes away. Private transport from airport to resort is around €100.

Review 87：The staff at the front desk need to learn how to smile, they were very impersonal, which was unparalleled from our other stays in Croatia. WiFi not so good, it kept dropping. There seemed not to be enough beach chairs for free, even though this was not high season. No warm indoor swimming pool for kids.

Review 88：We stayed at Lafodia 4 nights in mid June, it's a beautiful hotel in the peaceful island of Lopud. Our first breakfast on a Friday morning was chaotic, and somewhat not to the level of the hotel grade. There was only one waiter handling the whole breakfast area. He was cleaning tables, replenishing food, tending to guests, and obviously he could not pour coffee for everyone, so everyone was using the coffee machine to make their own individual coffee... therefore, there was a long line. He didn't smile or seemed friendly, I can just imagine how stressed he was. The next morning, we went in and a waiter greeted us with a huge smile, and as we sat down, another waiter came to ask us if we wanted some hot coffee. It was a completely different experience! There were probably 4-5 waiters, all of them smiling, all food being replenished, always hot coffee, cleaning up the plates, etc and no lines for the coffee machine! It was wonderful and it kept up to the day we left. The qualify of the food was very good and lots of variety. I liked the kids activities 2x/day, the girls handling them were very friendly and great with children! I also liked the adults activities 2x/day, and Borna was great and enthusiastic! Also, the concierge was very friendly and helpful. Facility is beautiful.

Review 89：The wifi in the hotel isn't great, you have limited time. The breakfast also ran out quickly. We were disturbed a few times wondering if we had used the mini bar.

Review 107：Wonderful views from the balcony, the beach on the other side is lovely it's not too deep and the little fish swim round you, Nikoss pizza just up the road is great food and and very reasonably priced. We used Lacodia ferry service and didn't have to hang around anywhere.very good. Loved the buffet breakfast everything you could want.

Review 108：The coffee at breakfast was not great, for such a lovely hotel it would have been nice to get a freshly made coffee rather than from a machine - but this is a tiny gripe.

Review 109：All of the staff we came across at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic with loads of choice and the food was lovely. One of the nights we stayed there was such a strong wind that it tore the outside of the hotel to bits with pieces of decking floating in the sea, our patio furniture was smashed and the outside space was literally upside down. The staff were out first thing in the morning until last thing at night trying to sort the place out asap and I was so impressed with their efforts to get it resolved quickly. I let the reception know that our balcony furniture had been smashed in the gale and would need some attention before anyone else stayed in the room - they had a maintenance man up within 20 minutes who took the broken furniture away and replaced it instantly. The room was lovely, clean and spacious, the aircon and lighting system was excellent and I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely stay Lafodia, and I hope the management at the hotel understand the massive effort the staff put into sorting the hotel out after that awful weather.

Review 111：Great resort, well kept, nice, clean. We got a good deal off-season so not sure how much it would really cost and thus value for money. But seems to be one of the only other hotels on the island.

Review 112：Our only complaints are that there was no ice machine on any floor so we had to get ice from the bar every time we wanted some. Also there was no iron in the room (only laundry services).

Review 113：We loved the island, the location, the staff, the the rooms, and we were very impressed when they left a honeymoon gift when we arrived and a birthday cake for me in the room on my birthday. Overall great experience!

Review 114：Must pay for sun beds at waterside. Although very comfortable disappointed to have to pay for them. Island is beautiful but quiet. If rain comes as it did little to do. Hotel entertainment poor.

Review 119：Very modern hotel in a very traditional setting. We stayed in a premier room, no complaints whatsoever, everything worked as expected, Air con is nice and quiet and controllable so no noisy fans keeping us awake all night. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, maybe a bit busy at around 09:00 but we always got a seat quickly. Staff were very helpful and friendly, everywhere is kept spotlessly clean. Cant comment on the food otherwise as we ate in the town where there is plenty of choice if you go for B&B only at the hotel.

Review 120：Lopud island is a must to visit short hop from Dubrovnik. Friendly local people plenty of restaurants offering local fresh cuisine. Suji beach is lovely short 20 minute walk. Lopud natural woodland is perfect for walkers of all abilities. Plenty of assessible water sports to spend a afternoon.

Review 121：See above also no umbrellas at the main pool which I think was a pity as we would have spent more time at the pool if there was more umbrellas .. It's not a lot to ask but I think it would make a huge difference

Review 122：I loved everything about this hotel but the food was only average especially breakfast! I couldn't believe that the minute it turned 10,00 am the good was gone off back to the kitchen with jnj seconds , I think this was a bad policy as some people came down for breakfast at 10,00 and all the food was gone ! Review 127：DO NOT go half board - the food in the hotel is pretty terrible. The island has around 6 independent restaurants and the standard of food is significantly higher for a similar price. The staff are just plain rude and the service was very poor, we often tried to have drinks at the beach bar but left after 10-15 minutes as we were ignored by staff (despite it being nearly empty). I was also shocked to discover an additional charge for sunbeds - £7.50 per DAY!

Review 128：The island of Lopud is beautiful, the sea is crystal clear, it is remote and quiet but with enough going on to keep things interesting. With some minor improvements this resort could be really impressive but it was let down by a real lack of interest in the customer experience

Review 129：Pool shaded at certain times of day. You are required to change lounger to ensure you are in sunshine. Buffet breakfast was quite average. Buffet dinner quite bland in the Scarlet restaurant but the hotel is close to the Lopud centre and alternative restaurants.

Review 131：Food could do with improving especially room service. Better restaurants available on the island. The jacuzzi point in the hotel was disappointing with only one jacuzzi working and the water was quite cold. You also had to pay for the service which I believe should be included in the price of the room. The friendliness of the staff was mixed. I thought the reception staff definitely could have been friendlier but the activity staff were brilliant.

Review 132：Location of the hotel was amazing. Pictures do not do it justice. Activities in the resort were very good. Maybe a little pricy but you were allowed to go off and do your own thing with them which made it much more relaxed. We stayed on the 7th floor with a sea view room and the views were spectacular. The room itself was extremely clean and we had no complaints.

Please note that Lopud is a car-free island and can only be reached by ferry. Guests can drive as far as Dubrovnik and take the ferry to Lopud Island. Ferries are leaving on a regular schedule from Dubrovnik.When booking more than 5 rooms, different policies and additional fees may apply.
