Review 1：The owners are great! The lady was cooking delicious croissants, the man was teaching us how to grill seafood better than in all the restaurants which have visited. The view from the terrace is stunning. And rabbits in the amazing garden are cute.

Review 3：Excellent location between the lido (beach) of Avola and Fontane Bianche. Excellent hospitality and very friendly attitude of the owners. Very tasty dolce (sweets) and sometimes other tasty Sicilian food from the owners. Great territory with lovely garden and rabbits. Safe car parking in front of your doors. Excellent match of price and quality for those who travel by car.

Review 5：Host's speak (unlike advertised) only Italian. The mistress is, for my taste, way too pushy with bringing food and invading the private space, and since my Italian is no good I was not able to stop her from bringing it (She even came into my room, to deposit unwanted food in the kitchen, while I was in the shower so that from then on I had to lock the door while being home).

Review 6：Spacious place nicely furnished so that the place gives an authentic feeling of the way Sicilians life. A well taken care of pretty garden. Ocean access (no beach) within walking distance.

Review 7：We spent 5 days in the apartment with a garden view, and it was the most wonderful stay in our 15 days trip across Sicily. Perfect location to explore Siracuse/Noto/Ragusa/Modica/Katania/Reserva Naturale Vendicari, spotlessly clean accommodation, nicely furnished, with very well equipped kitchen, bbq in the garden, beautiful garden, very quiet location with easy and quick access by a car to shopping centres as well as beautiful, sandy beaches in Avola, Noto, Fontane Bianche, Reserva Naturale Vendicari. The owners are absolutely lovely- helpful, discreet but attentive, we spent there 5 days, and every morning and evening the hostess was bringing us delicious home made treats - cornetti, pizza, cakes,granita, fresh orange juice and many more (and the price did not cover any meals!). Thank you very much for making our stay such a pleasure, we highly recommend Villa, and hope to get back one day!

Review 8：This was the only downside for us of Del Papiro, most people mostly or nearly all Italian would stay for a few days or a day then go.There rooms were obviously then cleaned, hence the claim of daily cleaning. However we stayed for 14 nights, the place is clean to start that's for sure, but it took until the 8th day of our stay before we saw a cleaner and that was the only time. We kept the place tidy but bathrooms and kitchens need a clean at least once a week, you don't go on holiday to be cleaning all the time. Booking .com advertise this property with daily cleaning, which is ridiculous. Sadly i thought we would leave a fabulous review, because the owners seem to be nice people,we were model occupants, but there was always this problem in the background , my Italian is very poor so did not want to get into discussion about it at the time, lost in translation as you say. Booking .com really need to check their facts are right before publishing. There is no daily cleaning.

Review 9：The area is very relaxing and we found quiet , which was to our taste. Villa Del Papiro is a really good accommodation, we had a rooftop suite which was excellent, we could sit out and look at the sea with a drink or a meal or the wonderful pastries and fresh orange juice supplied almost daily by the lady of the house. It was a 15 minute drive to the beautiful Baroque town of Noto and 10 minute to a beach. Great area to explore. We will come back.

Review 10：We spent one week there and loved absolutely everything. It's a beautiful house with a lovely garden, apartment has everything you need and owners are very hospitable. Lady of the house was spoiling us with home made pastry, pizza, pasta and so much more. The sea is close by and the center of Avola is not far away either. If I come back to Sicily one day I would definitely like to stay at Villa Del Papiro again. Thank you very much for making our stay so special!!

Review 11：Friendly and helpful owners, peaceful place, spacious and clean rooms, lovely garden. Suitable for travelers who have a car. Good location for ex. for visiting Vendicari nature reserve.

Review 13：Nice quiet place to stay. Spacious luxury apartment and secure parking. Location is ideal for exploring Syracuse, Noto, Ragusa areas. We spent only 3 days, but we should have stayed there a lot more. Very helpfull Friendly owners, Full equipped kitchen (include coffee, tea, sugar, salt, drinking water, etc) Owner Elena bringing us fresh 'cornetto's (croissant) in the morning, tasty local fruits, along with fresh orange juice and they were really delicious!!! In the cevening - a new surprice: pizza, pasta, cake. Which was not included in the booking listing. And we got that ALL THREE days ! What a bonus!

Review 14：Very pleasant atmosphere, cosy apartment, great garden. Owners are warm, although they don't speak English good people is easy to recognize. You have feeling that you on vacation and you have never left home.

We really enjoyed the welcoming owners, who treated us with fresh orange juice, cruasants, cheese cake, pizza, ravioli, home eggs for absolutely free. Best place we stayed in Sicily.

Review 17：Villa del Papiro is very well located and easy to find. There is a lovely and atmosphere. It is an ideal place to relax. The owner and his wife are absolutely wonderful. They are very friendly and very helpful to all guests. The apartment is very clean, excellent service. The sand beaches are nearby and easy to reach.

Review 19：The staff was friendly and helpful and each morning started with a delicious Sicilian breakfast consisting of fresh orange juice and lots of homemade cornetto's with cream, ricotta or chocolate, cake and brioches with jam.

Review 20：Beautiful house with a lovely garden. Good atmosphere. Fantastic safe place for the children. Lovely owners who arranged everything perfect. We got spoiled with different kind of fruits fresh juice, pasta and breakfast. The B&B is a short drive from the beach (free parking), down town, supermarket and lovely Noto.

Review 23：The hospitality and welcome. Signora provided home made croissants, pizzas, pastries and cakes and fresh free range eggs from the villa's own chickens! Parking is easy and secure and the location is ideal for exploring Syracuse and Ragusa areas.

Review 24：My car navigation doesn't show the address, making us difficult to find. If your navigation doesn't work either, try to find Via Sandro Pertini and make a call. The kind and helpful host is coming to pick you up.

Review 25：The room is very inspiring, showing a great example how to decorate your room. Brilliant breakfast. Beautiful gardens with Orange, lemon and Banana trees. Very helpful and fantastic host. We spent only one day, but we should have stayed at least for 3 nights.

Review 27：from the moment we enter remote electric thick gate, it was high quality villa appeared in front of us. The owner welcomed us and the 2 bed room ground floor flat was spacious for 5 of us. High quality though out the flat and nice garden. Nice ricotta cornetto and the lady brought a freshly squeezed Sicilian Orange juice in the morning and home made pizza in the afternoon as surprise. Highly recommend this place, and we would love to go back again preferably in the summer for longer period.

Review 29：House owner was kind. She offered us pizza,cannoli,and delicious croissants in every morning.When we arrived there it was Christmas,so supermarket was closed. The owner offered pasta,tomato sauce,eggs etc. I thanked her sooooo much. And there was orange trees,lemon trees,olive trees in the large garden. We could get oranges and lemons. It was really nice experience to my small children. And I love the kitchen and bedroom decoration. Really value for the money.

Review 32：We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa del Papiro. The magnificent villa is well located and it is easy to reach Siracusa and Noto from Avola. And in case you get tired of Baroque churches and Greek ruins, there is a delightful and sandy beach nearby at Fontane Bianche. The Villa itself is surrounded by a lovely tropical garden and there are grocery stores nearby. It's quiet, comfortable and totally secure. The best of the Villa are its owners: discreet but attentive and generous; our hostess kept bringing marvellous Sicilian goodies that she had prepared herself. One regret: we only spent 4 days there. We are already dreaming of going back to stay at least one week!

Review 39：We really enjoyed our short stay here. The villa is situated amongst the olive and lemon trees, making it a perfect spot to relax. It is also strategically well positioned to visit places like Syracuse, Noto , Ragusa and Modica. The apartament is nice and spotlessly clean, decorated in a stylish manner and is really well kept.The kitchen has all the necessary things to cook, even though we were spoilt by Signora Elena bringing us fresh cannoli , and homemade pizza. Not to mention the fabulous filled croissants and the refreshing almond granita. (all prepared there and then by her. Simply mouthwatering.) All this, even though we were on a bed only basis. Review 41：The owner was very friendly and helpful. They were the best owner I have ever seen.The landlady made an amazing taste bands,pizzas and some typical Sicilian meals. The place was very good: clean bedrooms,private garden, closed yard, close to the beatch and Avola's centre (but you must have a car). I strongly recommend Villa del Papiro.

Review 43：We had a very comfortable apartment with two bedrooms. The villa is well kept, spacious and with a beautiful garden. The host gave us home made food and typical Sicilian pastries.The location is on the outskirts of Avola, but if you have your own car you can reach the city centre, the beach and many other restaurants within few minutes. Love to stay again at Villa Del Papiro next time we visit Sicily again and will recoomend it to my friends.

Review 59：Hospitable, friendly and very helpfull owners. Very nice garden. Bicycles that you can use whenever you want. Apartments are clean, spacious and cozy. Villa is in a good location. I would recomend this villa to every freind who is going to Sicily.

Review 60：A tip we were given about driving - Italians react to what they see rather than just the rules of the road but if you get it wrong they take it in their stride, sometimes with a bit of noise, but they do not like indecision.

Review 61：We had a ground floor apartment with a garden view. The apartment itself was spacious very comfortable and decorated and furnished to a good standard. The garden was lovely and we had a lemon tree by our window and an orange tree nearby from which we could pick fruit. Alice and Salvatore were very hospitable and Alice would bring round freshly squeezed fruit juice and often pastries and other delights for us to eat.We did not speak Italian unfortunately and they did not speak English but this was not a big problem and we sometimes used google translate on Ipad to communicate. The villa is just a few hundred yards on a quiet road off the main coastal and inland route and is very good for exploring the Baroque towns,small seaside villages and natural sights of the area. People have mentioned mosquitoes but in May we found this an issue throughout our stay in Catania, Syracuse and all around and we had not equpped ourselves properly with repellant and antihistamine but it was not specific to the villa.

Review 66：The hosts were very friendly and attentive, we felt like their family members. We were kindly surprised by getting the warm just right from the oven croissants and cannoli every morning. Helena baked and gave us a hot pizza when we went to the sea, and it was the best pizza I ever tried. The villa has a cosy garden with lemons, oranges, bananas, and figs. The location is good only if you have a car. It is difficult to communicate in English, but the hosts are so attentive that is no problem to talk with and to understand them if you event do not speak Italian.

Review 68：We got an amazing 2-bed apartment, which is more than we needed, but for a great price. It is all very modern and beautiful but with a fairtale charm. Lemon and orange trees right outside your door and the sea at the end of the road. Perfect quiet location just outside Avola. And the host treated us so well and gave us food treats even though food wasn't included in the room. Without doubt, the best experience and value we experienced in Sicily.
