Reviews for Hotel Lungarno
Review 1:The Michelin starred restaurant has a little way to go yet.
Review 2:The staff are charming, superbly trained, friendly but unobtrusive. The welcome is perfect. Front desk personnel are delightful, know the city well and are keen to tailor one's stay to make it the best it can be. Rooms and facilities are superb and immaculate. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Quiet and restful. Excellent breakfast. This hotel takes genuine pride in its hospitality. The location is perfect for all sightseeing. River rooms have one of the finest view in Firenze.
Review 3:room wouldn't cool down; needed to open the windows to get any air; open windows meant we got to hear every sound from the streets below (including the drunks singing until 4am!). ate at the restaurant, and while very gourmet, was very pricey for the food you received.
Review 4:great location, nice front desk, clean rooms, comfortable beds
Review 5:We tried to dine at the hotel restaurant, accessing from the hotel lobby and we were told that the restaurant was full. We then went outside and accessed form the street and immediately got a table. The breakfast staff at the restaurant was equally not very pleasant, we could not choose a table we liked, depite the fact that it was free and empty... Foof very good and breakfast very nice.
Review 6:Great hotel, nothing to complain about in regard to hotel aspects
Review 7:the room was way too hot and you couldn't open the window as it had no screens and there were mosquitoes everywhere- bed was on the small size
Review 8:Great location- beautiful view - large and luxurious bathroom- very welcoming staff- very nice art throughout hotel
Review 9:Hotel Lungarno was an excellent choice for our stay in Florence. The staff were exemplary and every amenity was perfect for our stay. We loved the location on the river with a short walk to most sites. Highly recommend this hotel!
Review 10:We didn't like our room . The Airconditioning made a loud noise all the time. There was No outlook out of the Window . Just a terrible view of building walls
Review 11:Loved the location and very friendly staff. Very clean hotel
Review 12:We liked everything.
Review 13:We liked everything about this hotel--the wonderful staff, food and ambiance. Its convenient location is a real asset. We were immensely pleased with everything.
Review 14:Coming back to the hotel in the afternoon and having a sanctuary for a glass of wine and appetizers. The restaurants within 2 blocks are excellent as well as the food and service at the hotel.
Review 15:Air conditioning did not work properly, the room smelt of drains if closed up for any period of time, and the bathroom required a complete refit.
Review 16:The staff were excellent and the position of the hotel superb.
Review 17:the only issue is that air-condition always works and it could not be switched off
Review 18:Location excellent, good rooms, restaurant, helpful and friendly staff
Review 19:Avoided breakfast that wasn't included in room charge as too expensive considering price paid for room. Only hotel we stayed in Italy w/o a free breakfast. Aircon was a bit of an issue.
Review 20:I liked almost everything about our stay. Location was perfect & nice upscale hotel. Room very nice except aircon was difficult to regulate. Bar a bit expensive but nice atmosphere so wasn't a big negative. Staff was efficient in getting museum tickets & train tickets for us for $10 fee. I would definitely stay there again on a return visit.
Review 21:I felt it would have been acceptable if the wifi was not working for a few hours, or half a day, but I was constantly told it would be put back on, which did not happen before we left after a three day stay.
Review 22:Excellent, though expensive, restaurant, v. helpful staff who eventually put me in touch with their sister hotel where I could go with my ipad in order to collect vital emails.
Review 23:Beds were amazingly comfortable. Nice linens. Great location. Wonderful view. Lots of room, very comfortable. Great staff, very attentive helpful. Would definitely stay there again
Review 24:My needs have changed and although I flagged up that I had mobility issues the lack of a walk-in shower proved a little challenging.
Review 25:I was not disappointed, the central location is excellent and even for someone who finds walking a challenge visiting the Uffizi and Duomo is not too difficult. The Lungarno staff continue to provide the traveller with an enjoyable and comfortable experience. I will definitely be returning.
Review 26:Nothing!!!!!!
Review 27:The position was fantastic so pretty sitting in their lounge arealooking over the Arno river and Ponte Vecchio and all the beautifulbuildings all lit up planning where to go the next day then going up toour beautiful bedroom where our beds were turned down and the nextday's weather forecast left on our bed
Review 28:We liked EVERYTHING - It's what I call a classy, elegant and old-world hotel with all the amenities of the modern world. Fabulous location, amazing breakfast... I'm lost for words. Thank You for providing us with a room - other than the one we stayed in - until the time we had to take our next flight, at no cost. That is what I call CLASS!

Review 33:We did not like having to leave Florence and the hotel for it was such a delight
Review 34:We loved our stay and return to Hotel Lungarno from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed. Of special delight was the welcoming bottle of olive oil and then later when we returned after dinner to find a welcoming bottle of champagne from the manager welcoming us back to the hotel.
Review 35:Always a great pleasure to stay here, so we keep returning.
Review 36:Again, the temperature controls are your window handles.

Review 94:Nothing...
Review 95:Location. Weather forecast slip on the bed ;-) Possibility of having my pet next time. Staff courteousness and help with a smile.
Review 96:Nothing.
Review 97:The location, staff and rooms were beyond our expectations.
Review 98:Everything and Everyone
Review 99:Absolutely atrocious value for your money; this place is a $500 per night hotel and ABSOLUTELY nothing was complimentary, from the 35€ per person breakfast, to the minibar in each room. Which Americans probably think, "Yeah, minibars are never free", but this was not my experience elsewhere in Italy. Literally every hotel, besides Hotel Lungarno, had a minimum of complimentary water if not wine waiting in the room. Concomitantly, room service brought up two plates and a knife I had requested for some cheese and crackers my wife and I bought at a local market, and they even charged my room for the plates. This hotel is a complete ripoff in every way. Additionally, the staff can only be described as one-part courteous and two-parts condenscending. Look elsewhere, specifically any hotel in the Cinque Terre.
Review 100:Convenient location to downtown Florence.
Review 101:Nothing
Review 102:I stayed the Lungarno so many times. I love it, especialy on the end day of the year, december 31st. I can enjoy the view of Ponte Vecchio, River Arno and the big fire from my room. インテリアやファブリックが好きで宿泊しますが、特に大晦日の夜、上の階の部屋からの眺めは最高です。今回は近くの教会でのオペラのアリアのコンサートもステキでした。
Review 103:Cheerful, helpful staff made reservations for museums and restaurants. For the latter, they were able to guage our desire for food, location & budget and recommended accordingly. Great location on the river. comfortable room. Love being on the quiet side of the river.
Review 104:For £320+ per night we thought we would have a view from our room... we did,,, of a wall! On the river Arno this hotel disappoints if you are put in a back room as we were ..dark and unfriendly room. It seemed the many Americans had priority
Review 105:The staff and situation were excellent
Review 106:The standard room we have is quite small, and no river view. The EUR400+ price is too high for a no river view room. If you cannot get a river view room, would suggest you go to other hotels. Also breakfast very expensive and not included.
Review 107:The location is very convenient. Staff quite friendly.
Review 108:Rooms are small but that is true of most hotel in the area. Air conditioning didn’t work well in our room. Life of the road!
Review 109:Great location in the heart of the city. Staff is super friendly and helpful, lobby is fun place for a pre-dinner drink, and you can walk anywhere from hotel. Has elegant high-end feel.
Review 110:Fabulous location with a view of the Ponte Vecchio. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Florence is a wonderful place to visit for shopping and cultural activities.
Review 111:The ac did not work in our room, and we did have our door closed. We wenot provided wash cloths, even with repeated requests. Not a huge deal, but at $800 us a night, it would seem a wash cloth could be provided. Also the staff providing room cleaning were the worst we experiencedduring our entire stay in Europe. Did not empty trash, etc etc.
Review 112:What this hotel has is location, location, location. There is nothingquite like sitting as close as one can, on the Arno, near Ponte Vecchio. The lobby is superbly comfortable.
Review 113:The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The lobby lounge was the best place to relax in the whole city! Our room was superb. Will never stay anywhere else in Florence. Close to everything, including many restaraunts off the beaten track.
Review 114:The internet connect, while when it was up, was very fast, it seemed to go out fairly frequently. This meant you had to log back on
Review 115:The staff was excellent, especially knowledgeable and helpful. The bar was also a plus, with friendly staff and excellent cocktails.
Review 116:The service in the lobby bar is always very slow.
Review 117:We have stayed many times at Lungarno. We like its elegance and the fact we are usually upgraded to river view rooms
Review 118:We had a two room apartment, one facing the Arno which was magnificent, and the other opening to the road, which was quite noisy in the evening and early mornings. Next time I would only stay in a river front room.
Review 119:The Hotel Lungarno was lovely, understated and elegant. It's location is superb, along the Arno near the Ponte Vechio.
Review 120:Concierge support has been below expectations. Heating system is so&so(hard to get the right temperature and a bit loud)
Review 121:Very nice hotel, great location, pretty rooms and very nicerestaurant.Convenient garage.
Review 122:I liked the location but trying to get there in the city of florence is horrible, mainly because of the one way streets all around the hotel and the non driving streets. It was great once you are there since they have a parking garage right next door. Hotel staff was very helpful and very friendly
Review 123:The bathrooms are quite small for a high standard hotel Theshower/tub is very cramped Also the air condiitioning was on a veryfrigid termperature and we had to call front desk to turn off ourroom's a/c centrally
Review 124:The level of service is on par with hotels like the Mandarin Oriental. The attention to detail is superb. My most memorable experience isenjoying a rich mug of Italian hot chocolate on the terrace overlooking the river
Review 125:I just have to get used to how small European hotel rooms are in general. Also, the bathtub/shower could have been a little easier to access.
Review 126:The staff was very helpful and quick to arrange reservations (including same day for Cibreo), tours, and other items.
Review 127:The choice of TV channels was disappointing for an English speaker
Review 128:Friendly staff, wonderful location and extremely comfortable beds. An ideal place to stay when looking to visit the culture spots of Florence
