The stone-built Villa Vilina is harmoniously situated in Lopud at the western end of the bay right in front of the sandy beach close to a medieval Franciscan Monastery.

Review 1：Such a pity they don't do dinner in the evening any more. A kettle in the bed room and tea making equipment would have been nice.

Review 2：The Villa is just a few metres from the port. We were welcomed by a young man at reception called Johnny whose English was good. Our room had a view of the harbour and the bay and our bed was extremely comfortable.

Review 4：Wonderful breakfasts: good coffee with hot milk; cooked egg; cold buffet with lots of fresh fruit, local pastries, yoghourt, cereals - eaten on shaded terrace looking across the bay. Great location: very close to ferry and a swimming area also to paths leading to rest of island. Private garden with shade and recliners. Sitting room. With good choice of books.

Our review then says exactly the same in more length but these are the reasons why we like this hotel and will return again: - Family-run style, very friendly, nothing any trouble and nice and quiet. - The owner is brilliant. - Breakfast is just right and delicious - Really nice room and all very clean - Best view across the bay - Easy short walk to all the restaurants, harbour, shops and Tourist Information Office

Review 8：end of season attitude from staff couldn't wait to close. room 32 couldn't keep light out of room morning sunlight straight in your face no way to draw curtains or blinds there weren't any and no shutters either.

Review 16：Quite unexpectedly they have this amazing chef in place and all the food is amazing but be prepared to go with the flow, the chef pretty much decides the 3 courses (taking allergies into consideration). There is an al a carte menu but to be honest, it can't compete with the Chef!!

Review 17：Terrible shower! Arrived late and it wasn't possible to get anything to eat. Was not forewarned day of arrival was a public holiday and had to wait over 8 hours for a ferry!

Review 27：We liked the fact that the hotel was independent and had that family run atmosphere. The position is the best in Lopud and best on the island. The Owner and her partner are really lovely and very helpful.

Review 28：I was disappointed that the bar and restaurant were not open. I feel had they been the Villa Vilina would have had more charm, character and staff presence. Given the lack of these two facilities I think the Villa Vilina was somewhat overpriced.

Review 29：The location was great - the sea view from the terrace was beautiful. The pool in the garden also had a fantastic panoramic view of the landscape. The staff were friendly and did all they could to make one comfortable.

Review 32：Lovely location just above the island's harbour, in an impressive well maintained traditional stone building.The family owners are very welcoming and professional as are the staff. Delicious fresh food is served and personal preferences are catered for. The family photographs in the library and superb original oil paintings in the dining room add to the ambiance. Meals are also served on the lovely balcony with it's vine covered pergola and gardens overlooking the sea.

Review 33：Very friendly staff. Great location, just a short walk from pier and main prom. Great views from their private terrace. Sun loungers in shaded garden to rear, and swimming pool for apartment guests which are a 1 min walk away up a few steps. Would defo return. Loved the library and actually managed to read a book during the 24 hours on the island.

Review 34：Orange squash for breakfast -unforgiveable! we are not children! Poor staffing levels meant 1 guy was doing everything on his own -manning the terrace bar ,replenishing the4 breakfast buffet, coffee pot etc -seemed to wait a long time for everything

Review 45：Small friendly and cosy hotel. Our room exceeded our expectations. Very tasteful and nicly furnished, spacy with a wonderful balcony with a picturesc view over Lupod harbour and a beautiful sunset. The balcony was also ecuipped with high quality furniture and a nice unbrella. Nice breakfast buffet served at the beautiful terrace. Never before experienced hotelroom with wonderful handmade crystal glasses in minibar.

Review 46：I would have liked a kettle in the room to be able to make tea or coffee. For older people the three flights of stairs may be a problem,we were fine with this,however.

Review 47：It is in the most fabulous location. The view of the harbour was stunning from our bedroom window. We were automatically given an upgrade to a suite. The staff were lovely,very helpful and sweet. It was very clean and modern,even though it was an old building. We absolutely loved it! We will go again to Villa Vilina.

Review 49：A spacious room with a great sea view over Lopud Bay. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff very friendly and chatty, advice was there if you needed it but nobody was pushy. The buffet breakfast was of a good standard with a selection of hot and cold items which you can eat on a lovely outdoor terrace. All in all very relaxing and comfortable.

Review 50：There was no clear signage/directions given to the swimming pool - sothat was a bit confusing and as a consequence we didn't use the pool .It would have been nice to have had the opportunity.
