Reviews for Hadley Park House Hotel

Review 1:Originally got put in the disabled room ( no bath) right next to an event ! - after complaining managed room change but was still kept awake till 0040 with music at the event and then till 0130 with drunk guests leaving/getting back to rooms.

Review 2:The staff arranged an early breakfast which was nice.

Review 3:Only restricted space to gather whilst the ceremony room was prepared for the wedding breakfast.

Review 4:As we were a wedding party the whole aspect of the hotel was important. As the brides father I was very pleased with all the help from staff that made a very special day even better.

Review 5:The stairs but I'm being picky. I was asked if I needed assistance but was allowed to take my time and the stairs had the type of rails that I found easy to climb.

Review 6:Staff so friendly, made me feel so welcome. Due to using a walking stick, my bags where taken to my room and from my room. My room was fantastic. I was able to stay in the morning room until my son picked me up. Will book again, the next time I'm in Telford and have told my family & friends to do the same.

Review 7:The postcode on my colleagues sat nav got them nowhere near. Some of the bedroom furniture is not up to the rest of the standard.

Review 8:Nice building good food. Good sized room & bathroom.

Review 9:Not really a criticism but being used to super kingsize bed a standard double bed seemed a bit small

Review 10:Staff could not have done more for us all excellent polite and friendly. Even able to advise shorter route to join motorway to continue our journey. Good choice of food and expertly cooked

Review 11:We had the double executive room which was huge with a very large bathroom but unfortunately the shower leaked which was sorted very quickly once reported but I really did not like the disabled chair in there as we were asked at booking if we needed any disability aids and we did not and this totally ruined the look of the bathroom and my first impression of the room.

Review 12:The restaurant was a beautiful room, food was great and staff were very good

Review 13:Cleaning could of been completed to a higher standard. Dust on carpet in corners. Dust in bathroom on back of toilet, tops of tiles and marks on flooring.

Review 14:Comfortable environment. Friendly helpful staff. Bed was very comfortable and the bath was to die for. Breakfast was beautiful and fresh produce used. Good amount to choose from :-)

Review 15:Disappointing location; was expecting a country house hotel but it is located on a business park. Corporate business is prioritised over individual guests. For example, breakfast not in dining room because of business event; squeezed into small lounge instead. Very noisy night due to a wedding near our room; no warning given.

Review 16:The bar and restaurant staff were great. Food good value and comfortable bed.

Review 17:We attending our best friends wedding and it was the perfect wedding venue - very organised - staff was very friendly and polite - there couldn't do enough for you. Our room was huge and very clean. We would go back there again.

Review 18:Lack of communication from booking.com to hotel. You didn't pass on my notes and I had to have the night porter make my child's bed up at 11pm at night. However he was brilliant. Just you guys that let me down. Also sandwiches were slightly hard in the afternoon tea but that's just due to prep, as soon as you cut them, they go dry. The rest of the food was amazing!!!! And the sandwich fillings were so delicious.

Review 19:Came here and stayed for my oldest friends wedding last Thursday. What can I say? The place is beautiful, staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, there turn around times of the rooms are so quick and Peter the night porter ran around fixing booking.com's mistakes for me at 11pm at night!!

Review 20:Very comfortable large bed, no noise from hotel or car park outside (room 18) so a very restful night. Also superb breakfast on tray in room delivered by owner for which i was very grateful.

Review 21:Did take a while to get served in the bar especially during the wedding when there was only one person serving (the aforementioned stern lady)

Review 22:We'll run hotel with a family feel. Food was of a high standard and the staff always willing to help with a smile (apart from one stern looking lady). This is our second stay here and we would certainly return if we needed to stay in the area. The rooms are excellent with big comfy beds and pillows. Also, not forgetting the very nice and very large shower!

Review 23:The booking confirmation promised free bath robes, fruit basket and bottled water, but they did not materialise. We asked for the water, but it was supplied for only the first day. No privacy glass in bathroom and a public area just outside. The net curtain was inadequate. There was a black-out blind, but with it down all of the time, you have to ask what the point of the window was. No hand soap or dispenser. Poor vegetarian selection.

Review 24:Air conditioning - superb. Staff very attentive. Excellent breakfast, though not fresh orange juice (rehydrated). Clean, modern room and en-suite. Good parking. Good signal on free Wi-Fi.

Review 25:The room that dinner and breakfast was served in was lacking a bit in atmosphere because there was a function in the main restaurant.

Review 26:Staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs.

Review 27:Macerator toilet leaked a smell each time it operated

Review 28:Classy room. Very good breakfast.

Review 29:Noisy room due to location

Review 30:Friendly staff

Review 31:Lovely comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. beautiful restaurant.

Review 32:Food was excellent and great value Rooms were good Overall good value

Review 33:Not many facilities

Review 34:It was central to everywhere we visited which was ideal

Review 35:Staff were helpful and friendly.

Review 36:The restaurant was very good, for dinner and breakfast. Not a place to go for its location alone though: it is isolated.

Review 37:Fantastic service from arrival to departure. Attentive staff and beautiful place!

Review 38:The staff were fantastic Very polite and always eager to please.

Review 39:Didn't like the bed really uncomfortable

Review 40:Very pleasant stay , relaxing and nice

Review 41:Lovely quite location, superb food, staff friendly good standard of cleanliness.

Review 42:Nothing

Review 43:They delivered on everything

Review 44:Booked hotel as a treat for my sons 21st birthday was very expressed with everything. Could not fault the place.

Review 45:Toilet noise , Glasses in bedroom dirty, needed a light on the table ,

Review 46:Clean ,comfortable bed .Good breakfast.

Review 47:small seating area in bar , not enough seating for party

Review 48:food / bed

Review 49:Difficult to locate with sat-nav

Review 50:Very comfortable bed and pillows.

Review 51:feeling at home, good service, clean

Review 52:beautiful room stunning bathroom lovely friendly staff beautiful food

Review 53:Everything

Review 54:Good room & great food

Review 55:I liked everything from my room to the restaurant to the bar to the breakfast.

Review 56:Our room was lovely, spacious and very comfortable, and the food was also very good.

Review 57:Nothing.

Review 58:Excellent front of house staff and very welcoming, the rooms were clean and extremelly comfortable. I stayed with work colleagues and would love to come back with my family.

Review 59:Unable to sleep either night of stay or get any rest due to party events. Rooms far too near function room and outdoor seating area, which is literally next to windows. I had gravel thrown at windows by party goes.

Review 60:We did not like the noise of what sounded like furniture being dismantled and associated hammering. We asked for a quiet room thinking the end of the corridor would be ideal. Happy to go to sleep with the sound of the disco as there was a wedding party on but woken up by the guests after 1.30am. We mentioned the various types of noise in the morning but they seemed unprepared for such comments.

Review 61:The breakfast was very good and the staff friendly

Review 62:Bed was uncomfortable (far too soft)

Review 63:Good location for a business stopover neat Telford Room was good, large & clean Breakfast was excellent Wifi worked well in room

Review 64:A huge bogey on the floor by the bedside table! The male on reception didn't even acknowledge us when we arrived to check in! He was on the phone, not speaking though. He didn't even say won't keep you a minute. Upon check out he didn't say thank you or goodbye. Not worth130 pound paid for the room. It was a treat for my birthday. Wouldn't return

Review 65:When you were in the grounds you did not know what was on the other side of the wall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Staff and service were wonderful.

Review 66:There was nothing I didn't like.

Review 67:I was at Hadley Park house hotel for a friends 50th. The staff were fantastic, good staff are those you don't notice are there!! they were friendly and nothing was any trouble. it was quiet, clean and I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone staying in that area. the poached eggs at breakfast are delicious!

Review 68:Dirty brass letterbox on front door. God gave us brass so we could polish it with Brasso and 0000 wire wool on a Sunday morning.

Review 69:All round excellent hotel friendly and helpful staff. Good food

Review 70:No dressing gowns, water and fruit as per 'what you will receive upon arrival' Standard double room as opposed to what was booked as an executive double room. Wedding and birthday party's on with noise and loud music till the early hours and possibly why we never had the room we booked. Wife and I not very happy for a quite night away for our anniversary.

Review 71:Nice modern room albeit a little small.

Review 72:Everything was good.. facilities was good. . Sunday morning staff seemed slightly under experienced while serving breakfast but was fine .. breakfast was 100% perfect .. Would recommend to friends ..

Review 73:The post code doesn't work for the sat nav, we had to telephone the hotel and they gave us a totally different post code, which took us straight to the hotel.

Review 74:Good size room and spacious en suite. Check in and check out were both efficient. Bar and restaurant both good, excellent breakfast.

Review 75:Room was a little dusty and the shower didnt seem to drain properly.

Review 76:Food was amazing as usual, although the menu has been changed since our last visit. The staff couldn't of done more, they catered for our every need.

Review 77:Breakfast finishes at 09am Bar is very small No bath Communal areas very cold. Heating was turned off Took a long while to check out

Review 78:Mordern rooms, Excellant wi-fi

Review 79:Lack of water pressure in shower - Room 12 on top floor Couldn't open the windows - I like fresh air Room smelt slightly, presumable due to the lack of fresh air.

Review 80:Enjoyable stay. Good room, clean tidy and comfortable. Breakfast well presented and cooked.

Review 81:We were at a Christmas function, the food was excellent. Vegetables were particularly nice - not overcooked at all, hard when catering for many people. A really pleasant experience and a lovely start to Christmas.

Review 82:Was a bit disappointed on arrival finding the hotel located within a business park. However, have to say it didn't detract from the experience of staying there. Telford as a town wasn't inspiring however.

Review 83:The hotel was great. The food both at breakfast and dinner was excellent. The room was lovely and comfy and the Jacuzzi bath was massive! The staff were friendly and lovely too.

Review 84:Check-in receptionist insisting I MUST give my personal (home) address to stay at the hotel even though I explained I was on a business trip and the Corporate American Express card I would be paying my bill with is registered to my work address - which would therefore result in a mis-match between addresses. The receptionist told me I have to give my home address BY LAW. As my work involves regulatory compliance I was particularly interested to know the specific clause / act / regulation to which she referred. She could not answer. I would still like the answer to this question. (I stayed in room 9 on the evening of Wednesday 13 Aug '13.) Although the accommodation was comfortable the room had dust on the cups, around the carpet edge and on the radiator (which did not provide heat even when thermostatic valve was fully opened). The shower room radiator needed 'bleeding'. The shower provided only a trickle of water. There is no shelf on which to place a toothbrush, etc. (The only available surface was the toilet cistern.) The light above the mirror did not work nor did one of the two ceiling lights in the bed room.

Review 85:Food (good quality for price) and food service (courteous). Although, I did need to enquire about the 'early bird' menu (19:10 in the evening) rather than staff informing me of this option being available.

Review 86:What a fantastic place - brilliant staff, beautiful old building, classy. This was a last minute decision to stay in the area and crickey, how fortuitous. Next time I'll be bringing my fiance!

Review 87:Reception Staff very polite, bar staff very helpful, kitchen closed but did us cold sandwiches and cheese board. Breakfast was very nice staff also nice. Will return .

Review 88:Had Room 6 in the main part of the hotel. It was a little bit 'tired': - Carpet had stains on it - Bath matt grubby - Bed sheets were worn out Shower pressure in the room was extremely low. Room in the extension looked much better though !

Review 89:Very friendly and helpful staff. Dinner: Presentation, quality and value for money 10/10. If you stay at this hotel then I would highly recommend dinner. I would go back just for this ! Breakfast 10/10. Clean tasty and plenty of it.

Review 90:Not really set up for a business traveller - awkward sockets, no work desk. (There was a dressing table but it was too low for the chair.) OK for 1 night though.

Review 91:Excellent food, nice staff, spacious room at a good price (a discounted rate: 4-poster room for £69.)

Review 92:Almost zero water pressure in the shower on the top floor. Dragging heavy suitcases up a narrow flight of carpeted stairs - a new business sport?

Review 93:A very old house that has been restored - and possibly will need another round of restoration. The fixtures and furniture are all vintage 1950, the showers are modern. Beautiful polished wooden floors which reminded me of my grandmothers house , circa 1950. Although we arrived at 03:30 in the morning, they were gracious enough to have someone availalble to let us in.

Review 94:Couldnt get internet in my room - even with connector. Was in annexe notmain house. Parking a bit distant from entrance. Food a littleexpensive.

Review 95:Extra tea and coffee facilities (more than usual). Bed reallycomfortable. Bath/shower excellent. Staff really helpful andfriendly. Lovely style. Fantastic quality food.

Review 96:Nothing to report.

Review 97:The staff were very friendly but courteous - the food was delicious both at breakfast and dinner. The room was very well appointed, clean and spacious. It was my second visit and I would certainly recommend it and stay there again myself

Review 98:Shower in room was exceptionally below the required standard Quite expensive for a hotel of this nature, which I assume was an inflated price due to an exhibition demanding all available rooms in the area...

Review 99:Friendly staff... General design of hotel - lots of character

Review 100:I cant really fault anything about this hotel

Review 101:The rooms in the old house are great. Real antique furniture, big comfy beds and great bathrooms. The food served in the restaurant is fantastic. Best of all its great value for money

Review 102:The staff were extremely welcoming and personable, the food was excellent and the overall costs gave value for money. I can't wait to stay there again!

Review 103:Bathroom did not have any shelf or space to place toiletries etc. Shower was a complete waste of space, very weak not good at all.

Review 104:Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.

Review 105:Can't think of anything!

Review 106:The friendly and helpful staff particularly at the front desk. The quiet location and good food.

Review 107:Friendly, helpful staff. Great facilities.

Review 108:The staff (especially Sam on reception) were very helpful and attentive.

Review 109:Access from the M54 was a bit complicated, not the Hotel's fault.

Review 110:Food was absolutely excellent, Room was just fine and Staff were lovely.

Review 111:Austere / sole less entrance hall, creaky / bouncy flooring, poor bedroom main lighting & reheated breakfast croissants

Review 112:Location and staff

Review 113:As a very frequent traveller, I need the 'at home' feeling this hotel provides. I always look forward to my visits.

Review 114:Pillows!

Review 115:Excellent service for an early breakfast as we needed to leave early - thank you

Review 116:the mattress was to soft for our liking

Review 117:excellent atmosphere the staff were very efficient and friendly and the food was first class room very nice.

Review 118:Back in my home town ..very comfortable

Review 119:The staff were all very friendly hotel lovely and clean

Review 120:Creaky floor-boards Room was unlocked when i arrived

Review 121:Pleasant staff Excellent Breakfast
