Avlon House Bed and Breakfast sells fast on our site. 1,700 feet north of Carlow Town in a quiet mature area (a 7-minute walk), this bed and breakfast house is an ideal base for visiting the southeast of Ireland.
Avlon House Bed and Breakfast offers 5 elegantly furnished rooms with private bathrooms and is Carlow Town's only B&B to be awarded a 4 star Classification by Both the AA & Irish Tourist Board Failte Ireland. There is broadband internet access, secure parking and a patio area.
Avlon House has 2 warm and cozy guest lounges with open fires, one houses a library of 700 DVDs the other the daily news papers and a 300- book library.

I've stayed here on a number of occasions during the last few years and it's consistently maintained the high standards of comfort & service on every visit. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here to fellow travelers.
Review 16：The welcome was perfect withthe owner offering to cary our bags to our room and from then on nothing was too much trouble. he printed off directions when we were stuck and the breakfast was enormous! Room couldnt have been any better. Would definitely stay there again!! Clean, lush and value for money. Simply wonderful location and free parking!

Review 26：This is one of the finest B & B's we have stayed in. The location, the ample parking, the décor and furnishings were opulent to say the least. The room was large with a colossal bed and fully stocked en-suite. The breakfast was gigantic and would keep you satisfied for most of the day. Avlon B & B is great value for money and we have no hesitation in recommending it. Top notch.

We had to choose what we wanted the night before and everything was freshly cooked there was avery very large choice of cooed its,s. We tried most things such as scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, eggs benedict and the large Irish and small Irish. The large was vey large. Quality ingredients were used.

Review 46：We were making a nostalgic visit to 'the old home town' and found that Avlon was the perfect place to stay. Tom;s welcome was warm, the service was excellent, the bedroom was well furnished and had excellent bed and easy chairs. The breakfast was BIG - almost too much to eat. An excellent variety of foods that covered all tastes. There was plenty of information about Carlow and environs to make use of. Altogether a very nice place to stay. We will return.

The rooms are spotlessly clean & well appointed with thoughtful little touches like fluffy towels, toiletries & tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast here has to be experienced - ranging from a tasty continental to a very substantial full Irish. Without doubt a B&B to which I will return when next in Carlow.

Review 64：It was just a one night stop over on a golf weekend but the room was of a high quality with a nice en-suite which was very clean. I would say it was on par with any good hotel in the area. The breakfast in the morning(Full Irish) was delicious and very substantial, excellent value all round !
