Reviews for Hotel Hollweger
Review 1:The "spa" is not really that great, the pool was pretty cold even being indoor, so that made it pretty much non usable
Review 2:The hotel is nice, the best is the view and the size of the rooms. The rooms, at least ours, was big and modern, and the bathroom had heated floors.
Review 3:Our room hadn't been cleaned and the swedish massage was appalling.
Review 4:The pool and outdoor terrace was beautiful with amazing views over the lake. A very short walk through a little lane to the town.
Review 5:We travelled by postbus from Salzburg airport and it dropped us off right outside the hotel. We were met by the owner of the hotel and helped to our room. Our room was very comfortable with an amazing view of Wolfgangsee. All the facilities were of the highest quality and easy to access. We had a great time.
Review 6:Lunch buffet terrible and very bad value for money.
Review 7:Spacious room, wonderful view. Beautiful spa, swimming pool in lovely gardens and a fabulous bathing house down at the lake. Good breakfast.
Review 8:- As Austria is getting hotter every year, the hotel should consider have all rooms airconditioned, or provide more fans.
Review 9:- Execllent location in near the lake; - Food is great; - Hotel is clean and well maintained; - Staff is disciplined and very helpful;
Review 10:We arrived with unusual high temperatures in the mid 30s which made the bedrooms uncomfortable but not really anything they could do about this as most hotels in austria dont have air con
Review 11:Nice , helpful staff. Excellent food, nice location overlooking the lake
Review 12:Excellent hotel, offering quality accommodation and solid service. Kind and friendly staff who cares about the needs of the guests. Nice rooms. A new well-equipped wellness center with a swimming pool. Full breakfast board, gourmet dinner for a reasonable price. Large garden. Underground garage. Free wifi with good connection speed. Generally good location near the village center. Supermarket, tourist information and ATM nearby.
Review 13:Fabulous family-run hotel with excellent staff at reception and in the restaurant. I escorted six businessmen for 2 weeks of difficult hiking in Austria. We used this hotel as our base and could not have been more pleased. Every meal was a gastronomic adventure and the excellent spa facilities were greatly appreciated at the beginning and end of each day. The owners were very helpful with their recommendations for local excursions. I will return to this hotel every year!
Review 14:no Bathtub
Review 15:My friend was booking lake view, it was really nice but slightly expensive. My room was mountain view, price is very nice but room was slightly poor feeling. Total is OK, but just I expected 4 star hotel my feeling is 3.5 star.
Review 16:Shame the spa facilities weren't open a bit earlier. Only minor negative I can think of.
Review 17:Friendly welcome, perfect if catching the bus from Salzburg. 150 stops right outside. Very short walk into town. Really lovely facilities. Fantastic breakfast as always with a stunning view.
Review 18:The rooms could have some more amenities, but we asekd for a kettle and got one immediately.
Review 19:We were a group of friends of 8 people spending Christmas and New Year in St. Gilgen. This place is the prettiest in winter and on the bus route between Bad Ischgl and Salzburg. The hotel staff was excellent starting from the owner to reception right to all waititng staff. We were made welcome and had a large table set up for us. Breakfast is plenty and varied. The food in generall was really nice, and if somebody in the group wanted something special, they made it happen!
Review 20:Parking is limited around the Hotel and may be hard to find sometimes especially on weekends. On crowded weekends, it may be better to arrange a table reservation for the restaurant breakfast. Our room did not have air conditioning (common in many places throughout Europe). Although this may make some of you chuckle, the toilet paper was pretty rough for such a classy place...just sayin'.
Review 21:The hotel is very nice situated on a hill overlooking St. Gilgen. It is just a short walk down peaceful streets into town. The hotel is well equipped with a very nice restaurant, indoor pool, spa treatment center and a conference center. We had a room with a private balcony overlooking the town with a background view of the lake and mountains. The property was well kept and clean. Water ferries are available to cruise around the lake and buses available to go to Salzburg, so if you are driving in, you can park your car and use all of the other transportation to get around. Go; have a good time!
Review 22:The beds are too old with very low matraces. We are used to 4-5 star hotels with nice high beds and good matraces. Staff should be more friendly and the whole hotel needs renovation.
Review 23:The location is excellent, the SPA and wellness facilities are nice.
Review 24:Room was facing the road. Because of the wet weather, the road was noisy. But it really was not a big problem.
Review 25:Nice room, great selection of food, fresh and good quality, wonderful spa and pool area, caring and genuine staff. All staff polite and helpful.

Review 46:No entertainments at all in sankt Gilgen, no movies theater, actually nothing to do at night exept watch tv in hotel. But we got used to it, slept early and enjoyed the peaceful nd quiet atmosphere in hotel nd in the village.
