Reviews for Comfort Inn Redleaf Resort
Review 1:Very expensive for the standard of accommodation that we stayed in. We were given accommodation that was noisy and not peaceful.
Review 2:The best is location of this motel.
Review 3:A bit far from shops necessitating driving rather than walking. Outside furniture could do with good scrub. Carpet on staircase ripped. Also didn' t like idea of doors being locked at 9:00.
Review 4:proximity to golf club where we had an excellent meal. Didn't use pool but it appeared to be very nice
Review 5:The staff were very friendly, personable and helpful. The facilities were great, loved spending misty mornings/evenings in the heated pool, sauna and games room.
Review 6:Bathroom was dated and scruffy and door and walls needed a good scrub. We were on the ground floor and could clearly hear every time the guests upstairs flushed the toilet. Not the motel's fault but other guests were noisy and inconsiderate. One guest chose to farewell his friends by beeping his car horn at 6:50 on a Sunday morning! Gee thanks pal ! We're all awake now. Breakfast was miserable. Coffee undrinkable. Go somewhere else.
Review 7:Comfortable bed and good sized room. Staff generally pleasant.
Review 8:Was disappointed as we expected a resort !It was not a resort, more like a motel. Pillows were very hard. Water collected around feet in the shower.
Review 9:Though everything in the room was dated, it worked!
Review 10:Carpets shabby in stairs. Otherwise, mostly good value and great having pool yard and swings for children
Review 11:Position- close to all facilities. Easy booking Reasonable cost Comfortable bed and good size room Considerate in putting us in a quieter wing away from big group celebrating.
Review 12:as I was accompanied by a French visitor,I felt that the continental breakfast could have included croissants and/or other types of bread
Review 13:the calm, the evening meal, helpful staff.
Review 14:The position, and closeness to the village of Blackheath. Loud banging doors at 6am not good however. Suggest improve door closing/felts/weights
Review 15:A long way from the town centre and it's not a "resort"- it's a nice old quiet Motel.
Review 16:Clean and good sized room, quiet location, sufficient parking. Also the bed was quite comfortable- not so common these days!
Review 17:Whilst the restaurant offered beautiful choices on the menu, my meal was cooked quickly to accommodate an earlier closing time in the resaturant due to lack of customers. This resulted in the food not being cooked through properly.
Review 18:The staff were very helpful and gave their advice and recommendations on places to see and cafes to eat breakfast at in the morning.
Review 19:I found the bed too firm for my back & the pillows not soft enough to 'scrunch' up & therefore able to mould to the individual.
Review 20:location was easy to get to & off the highway. great heated pool for those who want to even in cold weather. clean & uncluttered. Would have liked to have a microwave in the room to allow more independence. Staff most friendly & helpful.
Review 21:No insulation between rooms. I could hear everything next door was saying and at midnight that is anger making.
Review 22:Warm and comfortable clean and large room
Review 23:Nothing
Review 24:We loved everything, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was great as was the lounge with the roaring fire. I went for a swim and the pool was very warm and relaxing. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Can't fault a thing and we are returning in 3 weeks time.
Review 25:Smokers who didn't go to the allocated area, and hung outside their room. Thanks to the management for supplying the smoking area away from rooms, great!
Review 26:facilities at the resort and the great location to all the blue mountain attractions and major walking trails,a top 4 days spent there.
Review 27:My parents found the bed very uncomfortable. There was also one room with no biscuits. The rooms need a revamp (very dated). One room had no biscuits. A minor detail but it didn't go unoticed.
Review 28:The staff were great in allocating our 4 rooms next to each other as requested. Did not get a chance to check out the pool and other facilities but they looked good. Free wifi was excellent! Great staff posted left behind phone charger.
Review 29:Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi good . Breakfast are worth for money , with hot food refilling quick. Rooms are clean . Will definitely come back again .
Review 30:I liked the fact the facilities were well suited for children with an excellent variety to choose from. The sauna was a nice touch as well. We'll come back again.
Review 31:Room was amazing comfy bed with electric blanket! The family who took over are so lovely and hospitable! Hotel is spotless clean and warm in the winter! Bar wasn't open very long but not an expensive trip by taxi to main street and reception can book a cab for you! Great for children with games room and tennis court and close drive to fantastic views. Enjoy !!
Review 32:The place needs a bit of an update, painting and upgraded bathrooms and new doors fitted they have been well used and it shows, everything functioned but doesn't look
Review 33:The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 34:Building we stayed in pretty old and run down, needs some maintenance, new managers are trying hard and are very helpful
Review 35:Meals excellent, pool very nice
Review 36:the fact that the bar was not open at lunchtime or early in the evening, we had a meal one night which was excellent, but the following night both the bar and restaurant was closed, the receptionist did say that they would open the restaurant, but felt that is a hardship for them, it stated on the website that there was no vacancies, yet the hotel appeared empty.
Review 37:the location, the helpfulness of the girl at the reception, the swimming pool
Review 38:Numerous issues: * Ordered a cheese platter, the dirty knife and chopping board was not collected and remained in my room for the entire trip despite being left with the tea and coffee making facilities next to the door. * Doona had a large white stain on it, they ran out of doonas and could not replace it, on top of that they didn't bother to clean the dirty one and return it. * We left used towels in the base of the shower for collection, on return the towel had been folded and put back on the towel rack soaking wet. I called reception and requested fresh towels, 40 minutes later they had not arrived, we left for dinner and returned a few hours later - still no towels, I had to go to reception and ask again. * The facilities and rooms are quite old and poorly maintainted. * All of these issues occurred in the space of 2 night stay.
Review 39:The local area, shops and cafes are very nice and we will definately return to Blackheath.
Review 40:Absolutely no complaints.
Review 41:Everything in good order , big and well heated swimming pool, really suited for a good swim workout.Very good healthy breakfast.
Review 42:Place was spotless - rooms a bit dated but comfortable, clean and had everything you need. Staff was helpful in every way, food was good as well. Great value for money !
Review 43:The staff were very friendly. Kids loved the indoor pool and the games room. Breakfast option at $20per head may seem steap but there was a huge variety of continental options available, good value for money. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely go back next time
Review 44:A quiet retreat. Rooms were a good size. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Beautiful area, close to the golf club, short drive to Blackheath where there were good restaurants. Great price for that time of year.
Review 45:The games room was a bit too cramped and the rooms had zero cooking facilities no microwave, no toaster and no plates.
Review 46:The facilities like the pool and tennis court was lovely. Reception was helpful allowing us to borrow bbq equipment otherwise you need to bring your own.
Review 47:Nice place to use as base in the Blue mountains area if you travel by car. Got everything you need. Situated just outside Kaboomba it is quiet ie away from the big tourbusses.
Review 48:The beds weren't as comfortable as could be, & the smoking areas were very dirty & extremely unpleasant to be in. I don't smoke, but my daughter does, so I sat with her & I found it most distasteful.
Review 49:The room was clean, comfortable & spacious. The kettle was appreciated.
Review 50:the bathroom was small and the pool was not ready for use at 9am and there where two dead spiders in the bottom of the pool. They where quickly removed however is was disappointing that the pool was not ready and cleaned as advertised for use.
Review 51:on arrival reception was friendly and prompt.
Review 52:The pool was locked and we had to ask to have it opened and the covers removed. It was very hot inside the pool area and would have been better if the windows were opened to let air flow through. The pool surrounds needed a sweep. The pool was clean and the water a good temperature.
Review 53:We used the resort as a stop over before continuing onto Orange. It was a short drive to the resort from the northern beaches. We were able to spend time in Leura and have lunch before checking in at 2.00 p.m.The restaurant was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. The position of the resort was quiet and peaceful. Blackheath village was close by with interesting shops and good cafes. A lovely golf course next door for people who like golf.
Review 54:The buffet breakfast is quite expensive at $19 if you only want cereal and there is no provision for just having a continental breakfast.
Review 55:We had stayed at the resort in January 2010 and liked it and booked in to stay overnight when we were attending a wedding. The staff are pleasant and helpful and everything worked well.
Review 56:the entrance doors were very grotty and also the doors into the rooms. it had a slightly run down air about it. certainly not 4 star.
Review 57:a nice position and the staff were most obliging.
Review 58:The facilities were certainly best value for money compared with other hotels of similar rank, clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the breakfast was just exceptional. Great quality food, muesli and cereals, fresh bread and pastries, any choice of cooked breakfast and, to top it off, freshly made fruit and vegetable juices. I would recommend it any time, in particular for families.
Review 59:Facilities were very good. The kids loved the pool. Will visit again. Hopefully, with more time to use all the facilities. A great base to explore the Blue Mountains.
Review 60:Noisy neighbours, paper thin walls, and the terrible shrieking sound the showers make when someone is in it. The noise to the neighbour or person in the bedroom is deafening, whilst the shower-ee is lost in their own blissful paradise.... Too far out of town if you wanted to walk to a restaurant or pub. So we decided to reserve a table in the restaurant, as we heard it can book out. Saturday night, we were one of 2 tables in there. The food wasn't terrible, but pricey for what it was. Dining and listening to the radio (talk-back) over the loudspeakers wasn't my idea of a nice quiet dinner. Bed was hard, but we were k-nackered from Jenolan caves so slept ok. A little out-dated décor, musty feel, but then again that's the blue mountains. They get away with charging a fortune and don't put anything back into the establishment, because they can and people don't have a choice. But that's my personal opinion, if you're looking for a reasonable place to lay your head whilst stopping through the area, this place is ok. I'm not a rich snob that picks on everything, but people who just want comfort peace and quiet will understand this.
Review 61:The location is close to Evans Point Lookout, if you haven't done so, check it out. Hotel is close enough to Jenolan Caves and Katoomba, without all the touristy traffic. Handy for a stopover and not too overpriced, I guess perfect for family with children if you were stopping off without paying Katoomba prices.
Review 62:Nothing.
Review 63:Off the highway and away from the train line makes for a quiet sleep. If you are a golfer (I am not) the golf course is opposite. Electric blankets and a good space heater add to the comfort.
Review 64:nothing comes to mind.
Review 65:Quiet location. Close to activities & features of the Blue Mountains. Excellent breakfast, good variety, fresh and hot. Friendly service staff. .
Review 66:The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating with our young children. They were more than happy to provide our children with seed to feed the birds and suggest the games room to occupy the children when they became restless!
Review 67:The noisy drains and pipes when someobe in another apartment used the shower woke us up at 6am
Review 68:The restaurant food was excellent and the bar was nice and cosy
Review 69:The room was hard to heat - but once we worked it out it was fine. I wouldn't eat there again however - hot breakfast was cold both mornings and while the other stuff was nice it was not worth the price.
Review 70:Good location, which was also quiet. Staff were friendly and checkin was easy. We would stay there again - but knowing that it does not fit the normal 4 star expectation.
Review 71:Mini bar was not replenished. Had to ask for milk for coffee. We ended up buying our own milk. Simple little things like this added to the indifference of staff can spoil a stay.
Review 72:Bush setting
Review 73:Bathrooms and toilets need a bit more attention. More information on what is available at the resort. Heating in the rooms and restaurant left a lot to be desired.
Review 74:Staff were warm and friendly, excellent with small children. Small menu, but well produced and served.
Review 75:That the pool was closed whilst my grandson was swimming in it!! Also Redleaf could do with a revamp.
Review 76:That it was close to walking tracks, town, Katoomba and golf course. Swimming pool for littlies.
Review 77:The heating wasn't good and the hot water for the shower was slow to heat up and hard to adjust to a good temperature. It was either too hot or too cold and would change without warning.
Review 78:Give breakfast a miss unless you want to step back in time with a spread that hasn't changed for many years. We were there midwinter and the room was just warm enough, we didn't discover the electric blankets until the next morning.
Review 79:This is a clean pleasant motel close to Blackheath with friendly staff. It is well priced.
Review 80:Staff were a bit rushed and short. Felt like I was imposing on them with my requests for pool towels etc. When I checked in, I was given the key to a room that hadn't been made up after the previous guest had left. This was rectified fairly promptly
Review 81:Good location. Central to facilities
Review 82:Dinner at the hotel was our only option as everywhere else in Blackheath was completely booked out with only a few places to eat anyway. However the hotel restaurant had lovely food so it was ok.
Review 83:The buffet breakfast was wonderful and worth the price. We used the heated pool as well. Room was great for the price. Heating was excellent and we were very warm. Service was friendly. Restaurant had lovely food and wine but you did need to book.
Review 84:I thought the restaurant was a bit expensive for the food on offer.
Review 85:The pool and the sauna were fantastic, as was my room.
Review 86:shower a bit small
Review 87:location was great, quiet no traffic noises
Review 88:The staff were very courteous and friendly. Breakfast excellent. Evening meal average. Close proximity to Blackheath Golf Course

Review 105:Breakfast was good. Rooms were nice and staff was helpful and friendly
Review 106:The motel was a bit far out of the way.
Review 107:It was a quiet spot.
Review 108:The fact that we could hear the TV from the other room. Not soundproof enough.
Review 109:Could do with softer pillows.
Review 110:Bed comfortable.
Review 111:Very clean. Pool was great.
Review 112:Beds where horrible A resort that didn't have a open resturant.planned on staying a week Left after one day
Review 113:Nothing that wasn't fixed.
Review 114:Restaurant was a very pleasant surprise.
Review 115:Shower needs a scrub
Review 116:Location
