Review 1：No alarm clock, which was annoying. The duvet could do with being a larger size. It was a double duvet on a double bed, but I always have a kingsize on a double bed!

Review 8：The couple covering for the owners were friendly & helpful. The room was immaculately clean & the bed comfortable, but the flat screen TV (situated opposite the bed) a little small for the viewing distance. Room 5 has a shower & washbasin in the bedroom, but the toilet (specifically for the room) is across the hall. I was aware of this when booking so it wasn't a problem. The Beaumont is an old building having uneven floors & walls, however the magnolia paintwork was fresh & clean. It was a pleasant two night stay with a well cooked English breakfast.

Review 10：Can't be helped but loose drain cover on the road outside the room rattled every time a car went over it! However conplimentary ear plugs were offered in the room to ensure a good nights sleep.
Review 11：Warm friendly greeting on the door upon my arrival. Was shown to my room and was well informed about all the facilities and surrounding area (e.g. restaurants). Breakfast was great, fresh coffee and a selection of cereals/ yogurts and a cooked breakfast menu with good selection and locally sourced meat. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Review 20：Breakfast started and finished far too early: 6.30-8.30 Monday to Friday and 8.30-9.30 on Saturday and Sunday. We were on holiday so wanted to rest and have a little lie in (especially after a night out or after a tiring day) but we felt rushed to get to breakfast on time. Owners said they catered for the workers but it seemed the workers took preference over holiday makers which was a real shame. It would be nice if they started and finished breakfast later in the peak holiday season to give their guests more of a restful holiday experience. Ensuite was a little small and cramped but there was a shared bathroom and separate toilet on the landing available too.
Review 21：As soon as we arrived and parked the car we were greeted by the owner, Iain, who offered to help with our bags. It is so lovely to have the personal touch and Iain showed us to our room and gave us a rundown of the facilities and went through breakfast times and gave us the wifi password. The room was spacious and had a double bed with bedside cabinets either side and a single bed also with a bedside cabinet. There was a huge dressing table with mirror over, both of which spanned the width of the room and provided ample surface and drawer space. Next to it was a wardrobe and inside there were spare blankets and a fan. There were tea and coffee making facilities with complimentary biscuits. The ensuite bathroom had a shower, saniflow toilet, basin, hairdryer and complimentary shower gel and shampoo and conditioner. The owners thought of everything and couldn't do enough for you. There was a tiny vase with fresh flowers and there was even a little dish containing ear plugs in case the road noise disturbed guests but we didn't find noise an issue. The breakfast was amazing and the tables were laid out so beautifully! The fresh fruit salad was a lovely touch.

Room was lovely with very good wifi. There was one issue with the shower but the owner investigated this very quickly. Breakfast was very nice and taken in a very pleasant and relaxed conservatory / dining area. Please give local establishments like this a chance, you will not be disappointed over budget chain hotels

Lovely attention to detail in everything, from napkin rings with cloth napkins to a well laid out tea and coffee tray in bed. I requested a quiet room and was given one, plus the additional dietary requests made in advance for breakfast. The wifi was very good. I would definately return.
Review 55：We booked two rooms for a week and found our hosts very friendly and helpful, the breakfasts excellent and the rooms well appointed. The only downside for us was in the showers, which were electric and sometimes not reliable with temperature fluctuations and decreased water flow when there were a few people trying to use them at once. That's the quaint factor I guess :-)

Review 58：Most of the areas we didn`t like could probably have been solved if we had said something but for one night we didn`t bother so it is as much our fault. Anyway for what it is worth: If road noise is likely to be a problem for you then do not take room No 2. Our bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were inadequate - I`m sure more would have been provided if we had asked. The shower was somewhat temperamental - changing from very hot to cold without warning but eventually I mastered the technique required. Being an older building there were uneven areas on the stairs and if you are 6ft+ then watch your head when descending. My wife prefers her food very well cooked - crispy bacon, no runny eggs etc so I did rather well. Again I suppose we should have registered a preference but why do professional chefs all think less is best? Crucially I would recommend the Beaumont but if any of the above might be an issue for you then ask first - if we had been staying longer we would have done.
Review 59：For a one night stop at a reasonable price it was very suitable and easy to find. Our room was very clean and investment had obviously been made in the bathroom. We had mixed opinions regarding the breakfast, I thought it was great - black pudding a rare treat! Read on for the wife`s opinion. I think the owners take their enterprise very seriously and deserve to succeed.
