Review 3:Very comfortable and well maintained hotel. Staff were very attentive and restaurant was excellent.
Review 4:Bed was awful and hard . Not nice room in disabled ground floor . Too hot in the room . Staff didn't want help . Breakfast was rubbish , sausages wasn't cooked . They didn't want sort our situation out . No money back from a for bad night . Wouldn't not recommend with children . Just rude . Just not nice experience when spending £200 to stay .

Review 6:We had a lovely mini break at this hotel. The spa was good and we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. The service was faultless. Definitely return.
Review 7:Going home.
Review 8:The staff here were superb - they really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. Altogether a fantastic experience.
Review 9:The only thing we were disappointed with, was the double beds were 2 twins zipped together.
Review 10:Really happy with our experience, friendly staff. We loved the spa, nice and relaxing, not over crowded. The food was delicious and well presented. This was our second stay, we will definetely stay again in the future.
Review 11:You either need to be working locally and staying on business or perhaps staying for the spa facilities. Otherwise, there is not much around the local area.
Review 12:Very high quality of service from the staff. Nice pool area, big comfortable bed and large bathroom
Review 13:We had a bad stay fir to some very rude loud group of ladies in the spa & bar then in there room al night very loud & didn't get much sleep !!!
Review 14:Loved all the faculties & food very welcoming staff .
Review 15:I would have to say that the food didn't live up to expectations. The menu was impressive however the food was poorly seasoned and although it looked impressive the taste wasn't up to the same standard. The steak however was cooked to perfection.
Review 16:The staff were incredibly friendly, courteous and helpful
Review 17:There was a wedding the day we were there and we found ourselfs on the way abit
Review 18:The spa area was amazing but remember to book up any treatments b4 going x also the room was lovely x staff we're amazing.
Review 19:Drinks (wine) very expensive. No lifts but difficult with a traditional Manor House.
Review 20:Had a restaurant and bistro to choose from. Bistro food was excellent with a Thai theme. Old Manor House which had a lot of character. A really inviting spa. Will definitely chose to stay again.
Review 21:Have stayed at this hotel over many years and it has always been very good in all aspects of accommodation - meals - service and attention to detail - I don't go to Kent very often for business but this is the first hotel I look for if I have to stay away
Review 22:Had to find a member of staff on arrival, Bar could not offer martini cocktails. the waitress at breakfast very unhelpful
Review 23:The Night Manager very helpful and apologised for the evening meal ,(this was not to the standard expected for this type of Hotel)
Review 24:Somewhat noisy at night as you could here people walking on the stairs also in their rooms
Review 25:Excellent breakfast good and friendly service.5 star. Bistro restaurant also good. Will certainly consider staying there again.Sadly as we were working we did not have time to use the spa but it looked very nice
Review 26:On booking l ask for disabled parking and was told yes they have it ,on arrival they have five spaces only one had a disabled badge ,we had to park well away from the hotel and bring our luggage in the pouring rain ,then we were given what they class has a disabled room ,one raised loo lid ,my husband had to help Into the deep bath tub ,so l could take a shower ,there is no emergency cord ,and the bed was terrible the springs dug into my hips l had no sleep on the first night ,and the bed linen was disgraceful it was odd covers and pillow slips and the underneath pillow was old and hard ,after complaining next morning we were given a better room ,l was very disappointed with the way it was handled ,all they said was sorry and we will try and find you another room not even a discount on not having a proper nights sleep ,they never answer the phone in reception ,it was not cheap for two nights l have been in bed and Breakfast with nicer rooms and bed linen and a lot cheaper don't think l could recommend this hotel at present unless it comes up to scratch ,
Review 27:The staff in the dinning room were very nice and helpful ,more than could be said about the staff on reception ,
Review 28:Very loud and very strange noise that only stopped late at night and started again 6:20. I'm guessing kitchen extractor fan but felt like being on a ferry hearing and feeling the engine!
Review 29:Nice, quiet, views of fields
Review 30:An option of extra pillows would be good
Review 31:Room was lovely. Bathroom lovely. All extras included such as bathrobes toiletries and lots of in room hot drink selection.
Review 32:To many rules, children under 16 cannot use the pool, Did not expect to pay 140 per room for one night for it to be decorated with woodchip wallpaper nor an artex covered ceiling, the bed was two single mattresses...overall a bit of a let down,
Review 33:The only thing I could fault about my stay was that the shower in my room was a little slow very trivial I know sorry..
Review 34:Every thing to be honest the staff were very friendly and very helpful the room was lovely the food was amazing and the spa was just great ..
Review 35:Hempstead House is great place to stay in a peaceful & relaxed environment. Lovely grounds & good spa facilities. As a solo guest I found the stay a pleasing experience & would stay there again.
Review 36:Our bed was extremely uncomfortable and we did not have any hot water in the morning. Whilst staff were polite and helpful, the general feel of the hotel is dated and totally over priced for the experience we received.
Review 37:The rooms we're clean and the food and service in the restaurant was excellent.
Review 38:Wifi not working for the three days we were there. No spa treatments available. No wholemeal bread on first breakfast. Hopefully a one off, can't normally fault it!
Review 39:Comfort,food,room. Hotel is always warm and welcoming. Rooms are always spotless.
Review 40:Next visit will spend more time at hotel enjoying the facilities.
Review 41:Ambience, staff, food all great. Lovely pool and facilities. Canterbury short drive away.
Review 42:Heritage suite was a little noisy when clearing away tables from a private function in the Brasserie.
Review 43:All the staff were very friendly, Ashley and Jane in the Brasserie are 2 quality assets as I am sure you will find out.
Review 44:Beautiful hotel full of character. Nice to be greeted by cosy log fire in reception area. Polite and easy check-in. Spa facilities are superb. Nice cosy spacious bedroom with large spotless bathroom. Ate in the evening in private dining room as Christmas parties in main restaurant. Nice open fire and cosy atmosphere. Young staff were all very friendly and polite and the food was really good. Breakfast next morning was delicious with lots of choice. Highly recommend for a relaxing break.
Review 45:nothing
Review 46:Great atmosphere - log fires roaring in the morning. Excellent food and great staff. Cant fault this hotel stay in hotels 4 nights a week all over England this is the best
Review 47:The only thing that let the stay down was the fire alarm going off in the night for some time and although it proves that the system works well, there was not any mention of it by staff the next day by means of apologies or explanation which I felt was a real shame.
Review 48:The staff are incredibly helpful and cannot do enough to help you. This was my second visit and cannot wait to return. I have booked this hotel for my parents as I am sure that they will love it too.
Review 49:Access to third floor had no lift on that side of the building despite being listed as superior room. Insufficient vegetarian choices. No gluten free or awareness of allergies.
Review 50:Loved the spa and the country style accommodation. Lots of comfortable and cozy corners to sit in. Attractive decor
Review 51:Around the pool there wasn't enough loungers.
Review 52:The location was ideal, the staff were very friendly. The evening meal left me absolutley stuffed! Prime reason being there was a spa break which we both enjoyed immensley.
Review 53:There was honestly nothing I didn't like about this hotel.
Review 54:This hotel has a homely feel about it, which made a refreshing changefrom the clinical chain hotels I usually stay in. The room wascomfortable and well equipped (bath robes in a standard room was a nicetouch; having tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water available in theroom was also good). The spa was superb - one of the best I have seen inmy frequent hotel stays around the uk - and the gym was well equipped. The breakfast was good quality (freshly cooked and brought to you, rather than the dried out, insipid self-service buffet style fare youare often presented with in chain hotels) and the Thai themed bistro inthe spa area was also excellent. It was a pleasure, for once, to stay ina hotel that I didn't want to leave!
Review 55:Poor sleep due to constant slamming doors and noisy ventilation. We booked a table at the restaurant for 8pm but had to wait one hour to be served the first course. 1/2h wait for breakfast to be served on table the next morning. The staff is cold and distant. The food very average. Only great for a spa day but avoid staying overnight.
Review 56:The spa. Amazing. Zero fault. Superbe.
Review 57:Stayed on a hen party and booked private use of spa and dining. Had a lovely time - food was excellent and staff very friendly. Rooms were comfortable and a nice size
Review 58:11am to book out the next day is too early . 12 noon like a lot of places would be better. By the time we had breakfast it was 10.30 and we had half an hour to pack up and be out of room.
Review 59:We stayed here to go to a wedding 7 miles away. It was beautiful . Sadly we didn't spend enough time in the place as we were at the wedding . The grounds were lovely too. Easy to park .
Review 60:My bedroom was on the second floor (quite a climb - no lift) and heated by the sun all day - very warm and difficult to cool.
Review 61:The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Restaurant was very good both for dinner and breakfast. English breakfast on Sunday morning was actually available at 0800hrs on the table - not many hotels manage this.
Review 62:The local area of Sittingbourne wasn't very nice
Review 63:The hotel was fantastic. It was set in beautiful grounds, and the staff were amazing. Not too far away drive from Canterbury (30 mins max)
Review 64:Restaurant food was a little bit of a let down. A la Carte menu was not all available, crab starter needed seasoning and peach dessert was so hard it was inedible. Daily menu was much better value and was fresh.
Review 65:Staff very friendly and helpful. Spa facilities excellent and efficient. Well run family atmosphere. Brassiere food was very good and staff very friendly.
Review 66:When I arrived at reception I tried to find someone to help me book in. It was as quiet as the grave with no one around AT ALL. In the end I had to use my phone to call the hotel to ask someone to come to reception to book me in. The room was comfortable and clean but a bit dated with frilly pillowcases etc. A bit 80's. Very little atmosphere.
Review 67:The spa
Review 68:Just lack of air con
Review 69:Lovely setting. Great facilities. Just needed air conditioning in bedrooms. Good service, spa and pool lioked lovely. Lots of cite little areas to relax in seclusion
Review 70:When I booked this venue up i was booking it for 2 people and was charged £85 as that's what I thought the deal was including breakfast when I arrived staff were very helpful but when I went in2 reception to sort room out she said that I had booked it for 1 person instead of 2 and charged £110 can this be checked out for me as I would of def booked it for 2people if I'm wrong I apologise but wood just like 2 no for sure
Review 71:lovely bathroom and separate shower, but the shower was very weak, like standing under a tin can with a few holes which was a shame as it was the hottest weekend of the year.
Review 72:attended family wedding, excellent hotel, well run.excellent rooms and found drink and food very reasonable.
Review 73:Over priced Small double bed! Breakfast lacked a veggie option (Quorn sausage) and could have done with some fried eggs and hash browns but was basic enough to have a good meal!
Review 74:Basic rm and comfortable Friendly staff Nice facilities
Review 75:We were put in a ground floor room next to the function bar and toilets. Luckily there were no functions so it was very quiet. It was clearly a room for those with mobility difficulties which was fine but the 4 inch deep toilet seat wasnt particularly comfortable or practical. Also the underside of the toilet seat had obviously not been cleaned as it was covered in the previous occupant's excrement. Disappointing considering the immaculate cleanliness of everywhere else.
Review 76:Huge bed, wonderful spa pool and good gym. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Fab facilities. A lovely well deserved break without the children. Pity about the weather!
Review 77:Nothing bad.
Review 78:Love the spa and the decor of the rooms. Always feel so relaxed so here and staff manage any issues that may be raised.
Review 79:Breakfast finished at 9, I though a little early.
Review 80:Spa facilities were a nice surprise and friendly staff.
