Review 8：An excellent quality/price hotel -- located walking distance to the harbor, right on the waterfront in front of a beautiful sandy beach. The rooms are extremely clean, well decorated, and comfortable. I have never stayed in such a nice hotel for the price- exactly the same level as a more expensive four star hotel. The breakfast was decent and came with a delicious fresh pressed orange juice. Overall fantastic hotel- I would return without hesitation.

Review 15：The only negative was the fact that there was no elevator but it was not a big issue since there were only 3 floors and for what i paid i can ''forgive'' anything.

Review 17：the shower: unfortunately you always have to keep it in your hand, as there is no hanger in the wall the air conditioning in the bathroom is really cold and noisy (no way to turn it off since it gets on automatically once you switch the light on in there) the fridge was also making a lot of noise, but you can easily turn it off, so not a real issue. (early morning street noise, but it was due to the street works (pre-season renovation probably) and all hotels are suffering from it)
Review 18：the location- facing the beach and uou fall asleep with the sound of the waves. also it is 10-15min from the old city, nice walk on the beach side. fresh orange juice for breakfast!! room are pretty big and clean. stuff is very nice, the owner waited until almost 10pm for me, since i was not able to do the check in earlier due to the flight schedule.

Review 20：It is quite close to the city center, no more then 15 min walk, next to the beach just across the street, you get decent breakfast, you do not have a buffet, but a standard breakfast given by hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful, I had some issues, but it was fixed so promptly, it is always nice when hotel cares about the customers. Please note that it is not a luxury hotel but very decent place for the price they ask. We were really nicely surprised and wanted to stay more.

Review 28：The bed is a bit old i have pains on my back . The staff no care of nothing just ask the owner 1 time at night around 9 o clock when we were leaving for bar . What we didnt like was when was to leave we given the key back he ask if we were ok , but when we ask for the payslip he was shocked and he start saying some excuses .... In the end he didnt given us cause he said gonna be late evenning to take it from hes accountant...

Review 35：We came to this hotel with my parents in September 2014. We chose September because this month is not extremely hot on Crete. As we arrived it was very stormy and windy, so we thought its gonna be like this our whole vacation. The owner cheered us up and told us it happens only for a couple of days in Septemeber. And so it was. On the third day the sea and the air was warm. The beach near the hotel is great, the stuff is taking care of it. I am personaly sure that the stuff of the hotel is what makes it so great. They all are kind and very friendly. They make you feel as a part of the Poseidon family. Johanna at the bar is always nice and cheerful, she spreads her good mood to everybody. The best salads does Margarita at the kitchen (Margarita, we still remeber your chicken salad). The owner is very attentive to his guests and finds time to talk to them. I personally believe, that this whole family atmosphere is made by the owner, who wokrs hard to make your stay at its best. Apart from that the view from our room was amazing. This picture should be put on postcards.

Review 37：Perfect location, beach front and just a few minutes walking distance from downtown. Easy park ing in the beach road (may be more difficult in high season). Very nice rooms, renovated, lovely style, new bathroom (the only budget hotel we found in two weeks with a shower box!!!), beach front balcony in our case. Breakfast included, simple but ok (not buffet, but served). Wifi strong on every floor. Staff extremely helpful. So a very pleasant short stay, so we definitely got more than expected.

Review 65：one of the nicest rooms i had my whole 4 week trip. just been refurbished it seems, great bathroom, great view of the sea, I was touring Greece by bicycle, and they were able to secure my bicycle inside over night. I didnt think it was that far from the old town - the walk is pleasant anyway. great value in the off season.

Our room with balcony was very nice, with wifi and brand new bathrooms. The included breakfast was delicious and we were always treated to complementary glasses of wine in the evening and shots of homemade raki. Review 73：The hotel was exactly what we needed for a very good vacation in Rethymno town: this is very close to city center - my husband wanted that- also the sea is in front of the hotel - which is something I wanted. The rooms have all sea view, are very modern, clean, nice furniture and a big glass door on sea side. Conditioning air was inverter model and worked just fine (though we have not used it) and fridge has a large size. They have also a balcony with proper size that has a table and 2 chairs. This location is perfect for someone that wants to be close to the old city (7-10 minutes walk) and also on sea side. Last but but not least, the owner of the hotel and all people working there were very warm and make us feel exceptionally good. If we would go back to Rethymno we will definitely stay there again.
