Reviews for Hotel Blue Weiss

Review 1:The hotel appears to have once been a luxury hotel but is now well past its heyday. It was a bit down at the heels, but the cost did not reflect that. We had to drag our suitcases up a flight of steps to get into the hotel. It was very cold in the room.

Review 2:Breakfast was good. Staff was very accommodating.

Review 3:there where no table and chairs so we had to either lie on bed or lounge , at small table and chairs would have been good for reading or using our ipads and laptop and to eat etc

Review 4:Good location close to beach and shopping centre and restaraunts

Review 5:1. There is a major construction site between the hotel and the beach, big cranes higher than the hotel in front of the windows. Noisy works start at 7am and continue until 5pm every day. 2. Hotel is very old and looks like not renovated the last 30 years. 3. In 3 days the room was cleaned only once. 4. In the bathroom sometimes cigarette smoke from other rooms could be smelled. 5. Free parking but very difficult to get in (old system with chain, too small. 6. Music in the breakfast room was not changed since 40 years (a plus if you like 70-ties music)

Review 6:breakfast was ok. three minutes walking to the beach.

Review 7:I enjoyed my stay. Room was clean, facilities were fine. TV and Yes channels worked well. Breakfast was very good. The view was magnificent. In all it was a pleasant. I did not want to go to a hotel with many people. Blue Weiss was quaint, comfortable and staff were very helpful.

Review 8:Cable tv wasn't working until I realised that the cables wereinserted wrong and even then had to send a Russian friend the tvscreen text which said the card was inserted in the wrong slot and wasupside down!Bit of a walk to beach through construction site which means the view of the beach/sea will soon be reduced.

Review 9:Position close to main square and above beach. Pleasant receptionist.Private parking - though not a lot. Good views of sea - for the moment.Comfortable bed. Got upgrade to suite! Nice breakfast but not as good asat The Seasons.

Review 10:The hotel is old and parking is limited. They are building another building just in front which will ruin the hotel's view of the ocean

Review 11:By the sea and only a block away from the town's main square. Very good value for money in a country where hotel prices are outrageous Excellent breakfast included

Review 12:We were there in peak peak peak season, and as such parking around the hotel was sometimes a problem. There was not always space within the hotel parking itself.

Review 13:The suite must have been redone recently, and it was done perfectly. Everything looked like it came out of an interior design magazine. Was absolutely wonderful.

Review 14:The bed/mattress/pillows weren't that great; it's noisy most of the day because of the outdoor construction; the hotel has no enough parking spaces so you end up paying for parking quite much (I used Easy park).

Review 15:The view from the balcony was awesome; the team was attentive and helpful; they agreed to move me to another room upon my request; breakfast was delicious and over all everything was clean. The location was excellent; I was close to everything, and basically was on the water line.

Review 16:Massive building & construction right in front of the hotel. 3 giant cranes blocking the seaview. Non-stop noise from 7 a.m inntil 7.30 p.m. Could not use balcony, not even open the door. So-called self-catering, but empty cupboards, not a single knife, fork, spoon, plate or pan.

Review 17:Good access to botn beach and town center. 2 TVs, lots of channels, wifi functioning.

Review 18:it was a disaster, its not clean at all. sheets are dirty. room is dirty. i was shocked even i reported to the hotel, they didn't do anything about it. breakfast is disaster too. i hate it

Review 19:close to see

Review 20:A drab room in a drab hotel. Poor breakfast. No wi-fi, free or otherwise in our room. Lock on door broken. Thermostat on bathroom basin broken. Etc.Etc. we complained and the receptionist seemed to have it all before. A lot of money for very little

Review 21:Very little

Review 22:We were given a room on the first floor and were woken at 06:45 by building works right outside our window. Huge building site in front of the hotel with 2 massive cranes which reach till the 7th floor. Works continue the whole dat so no rest for the wicked. After complaining we were upgraded to an other floor where the noice was much less. Bathrooms were tiny and outdated (rusty tap and toiletrol holder etc.) No hairdryer or safe which is strange for a 4 star hotel. The hotel has seen better days,

Review 23:Breakfast is fair but not as can be expected for 4 stars.

Review 24:Who wouldn't love the view of the Meditereanean, the wonderful breakfast, the pleasant and helpful staff, the economical off season rates, and the close proximity to Caesaria and Tel Aviv? Loved it and hope to return!

Review 25:Not very clean, facilities are a bit outdated. Construction works just under the hotel. Breakfast is not impressive, definitely not what you would expect from a 4* hotel.

Review 26:Excellent location just one step from the seashore. Large rooms with the frontal sea view.

Review 27:No bar or food apart from breakfast.

Review 28:Hotel is lideally situated right on the promenade above the beach, close to the lift. Restaurants and bars on the promenade. It is about 5 min walk from Netanya town centre.

Review 29:The hotel is dated and requires upkeep and maintenance. The beds are not adequact for a couple. Should be replaced with a queen size bed. Hotel has no dining facilities nor a refreshment lounge

Review 30:Location and proximity to the beach and other services nearby.

Review 31:We were upgraded to the premium suite with no extra charge. Staff were kind and courteous. Facilities and rooms were fantastic. Mattresses were okay-could be better but we extended our stay because of the amazing service and value for money

Review 32:Breakfast unappealing but it seems this is what Israeli breakfasts are like. They wouldn't cater for an early breakfast when we were going on an early starting tour.

Review 33:We were given an apartment with a balcony overlooking the beach and sea.

Review 34:Wifi was very weak in our room. Also, breakfast was not so great. I am not one of those Americans who demands pancakes and omlets, but some vegetables would have been nice. They need to add cucumbers, peppers and maybe a simple salad.

Review 35:Great view (make sure you get a room in the middle or on the right side with a view of the promenade - the lift side view sin't so great). Great value

Review 36:A/C stopped working both nights we were there and the 1st night it was the middle of the night and it was shabbat so we could not do anything about it until the morning. They cam and fixed it right away, but it was an uncomfortable night. The 2nd night, the same thing happened, but we figured out how to fix the problem ourselves.

Review 37:Great location; plenty of room; breakfast is very basic but very nice; staff is helpful

Review 38:The lobby is the only nice looking part of the hotel. The rooms are dirty and the furnishings are very old and worn. Even the basic construction and design of the rooms is rough in terms of the way metal and plaster are joined together, and the way cords are" covered up". The bathrooms need to be completely gutted and updated. The windows clearly haven't been washed in years. There were 2 bathrooms in our top floor suite. Unfortunately, there was only toilet paper in one, and not much of it. There were no towels and we were given them grudgingly by the woman at the front desk. When my daughter later asked for beach towels, which we were told at check in to ask for, the woman screamed at my daughter and said" no". When I came down to ask for them she told me we had already been given 4 towels (1 for each of us) for the room. She told me I was being selfish and would be taking away towels so there wouldn't be any for other guests. (I guess they're really short on towels). Finally, when my husband came down and she started in on him, he just stared at her without saying anything. She gave him the towels. We were only there for 1 night. It was more than enough. The morning we were checking out, the doorbell rang at 7:30a.m and someone started banging on the door. It was a cleaning person. Although check out is at 11, I guess they like to get their work done early...though you certainly can't tell from the way things look. I recommend checking with management to see if any updates have been done before you book.

Review 39:The location (right above Sironit Beach) is outstanding and the view is, too. The breakfast was also pretty good. That's about all that the hotel has going for itself right now. I did speak with the manager. He said he is part of a relatively new group that has owned the hotel for about 1 1/2 years. He said they are aware of the issues I identified (see next section).

Review 40:The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the room was very clean

Review 41:Very bad parking we saw on some reviews about it but they don't do anything about it

Review 42:Very clean and comfortable

Review 43:The room smelled like a car freshener. It was Like staying in a shoe box.

Review 44:Not

Review 45:Reception,s lady does not know how to deal with credit card and is not polite

Review 46:Location

Review 47:Parking was awful

Review 48:Rooms were large

Review 49:within walking distance to beach and good night action. quiet hotel with great view

Review 50:Odeur de tabac.

Review 51:View. La dame nous a changé de chambre quand on a demandé à cause des travaux.

Review 52:Wasn't very clean. Bathroom was very run down.

Review 53:Large room with great view of the sea

Review 54:Noise from construction workplace close to the Hotel

Review 55:No hot water in the evening when I arrived or the following morning

Review 56:That's just awful... Friendly staff but nothing more.

Review 57:Stuff very rude and unfriendly Price is very high but average for the city

Review 58:Location Breakfast Good rooms

Review 59:There is no restaurant for lunch and dinner

Review 60:The fabulous view

Review 61:room and especially bathroom are cheap looking

Review 62:location is not far from thebeach and not far from the center

Review 63:Parking was tight.

Review 64:Great location. Nice clean rooms though older and basic. Nice breakfast.

Review 65:bedroom wasn't cleaned. could do with a refurbish

Review 66:size of rooms

Review 67:Rooms could do with a refurbish especially the bathroom

Review 68:large room. good staff. good breakfast. quiet hotel although it was near the beach.

Review 69:Terribly dirty, bathroom was old, dirty and water coming out everywhere. Staff insufficient, not efficient. I asked them the invoice the first day I arrived and at check out they told me they can't because they forgot! i was in a hurry otherwise i would have pressed them. Breakfast is very poor, without fresh products. I selected the hotel because of the wifi (i needed for work), but for more than 24hour it was unreachable. My worst experience in an hotel. considering that it was not cheap at all.

Review 70:Position, in front of the Sea.

Review 71:The maintenance was not so good. They need to paint and renew bathroom etc.

Review 72:The location was very good. We saw the sea from the window. beautiful! We have suite instead of room that we ordered. I was very comfortable. We are mother and daughter.

Review 73:1) Almost no hot water in the tub (runs warm for 5 minutes, then cools down for another 5 mins. finally you appear with ICE cold water); 2) Shabby room with dated furniture; 3) No lockers in the bathroom (the door could not get closed); 4) no rails to get the stroller or/suitcase to the lobby; 5) very dirty floors (ashes, sand and dust in the corners); 6) parking entrance chain - to open it you have to either drop your car on the road and run to the reception and then back or call them by phone!

Review 74:Quality WiFi Location View

Review 75:Would have liked the option of an evening meal. No pool or gym, as they are renovating.

Review 76:We were a couple of friends sharing a room & didn't want a double bed. No twin beds were available. When we checked in, they gave us a free upgrade to a very nice suite with a wonderful view. The location is superb, just above a great beach (very safe for children) & good restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly & helpful & spoke at least four languages that we heard. The hotel must have been really beautiful when new (Art Deco style). It's a bit faded now, but I didn't mind that for a short stay. Breakfast buffet was good.

Review 77:Stuff of the hotel - rude and terrible. Manager didn't want to come down to talk, only by phone. Reception lady - were screaming on us. It was sand on the sofa. AC doesn't work. And price was 223$!!! The worst place I have ever been. Room was old and dirty.

Review 78:Sea view from the room.

Review 79:No one helps with your suitcases No one shows you to your room Charge you 100% of your all stay just after you arrived The staff is trying to palm the worst apartment at the hotel (apt 105) off on you, so you should be ready to fight for a normal one then - be careful before checking-in Very dump apt with shabby furniture Not hot plates in the kitchenette No any utensils in the room and they will not give you any under some unbelievable excuse (check it out ;) Poor room cleaning Very basic breakfast - no fresh fruits, disgusting coffee, no fresh juices, no made-to-order omelet, one day I found a milk pitcher with flies in the milk; bad working toaster; no toaster in Sabbath Dirty windows in elevator well Awful garbage smell periodically in the lobby at the 7th floor

Review 80:Location Large balcony with a wonderful sea view Spacious 2-room apartment Two air-conditioners A pretty large queen bed with comfortable matrasses Calm hotel and surrounding area They give you two electronic keys form the suite Good supply of bathroom towels

Review 81:Although we got a spot there is limited space for parking.

Review 82:Staff was helpful and friendly. Great location and access to the beach. Also a short walk to good shopping and a great variety of restaurants.

Review 83:Strange behavior of conditioner for heating: it lives its own life regardless of mode on remote control. No early check-in or late check-out.

Review 84:Breakfast was good and fresh. There was plenty of clean towels. View was excellent.

Review 85:Very basic Shower was a bit tempramental

Review 86:Good value Friendly Staff Excellent View and position; next to sea, resteraunts, the square On the whole a good value hotel! Would recomend to those on a budget

Review 87:Bathroom a bit decrepit! Not dirty, but shabby.

Review 88:Good breakfast. Nice night staff. Easy drive from airport for first night stay in Israel, when northbound to Caesaria.

Review 89:check out time = general rule applied in all the hotels ! ....the "check out reminder"- telefon from the Reception - is not aligned with the welcome and hospitality philosophy

Review 90:close attention to guest requests special thanks to Mr. Pierre Guedj / Marketing Manager

Review 91:1. Limited food choice for breakfast 2. There was no safe in my suite 3. Noice from construction work

Review 92:Proximity to the beach and to the transportation

Review 93:it is highly over-priced. what you get is a room in a good location. nothing more. no swimming pool. breakfast is extremely poor - does not meet any Israeli standards. there are ants in the kitchen, so be aware not to leave food or you will have hundreds of them. no arranged parking, so either you're lucky or you dont.

Review 94:location is great. the receptionist Asia is very nice and helpfull.

Review 95:Cleaning was bad.Furnishing is an old.Restruction in front of the hotelmake view from balcony very poor.Breakfast is really terrible.Salt fishand unfresh fruits.fuuuu!!!!!!

Review 96:Location.

Review 97:Hotel is located near beach. Nice overview from window. Very polite, helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast. I like the decoration of thewalls in roman style in hotel corridors also.

Review 98:The air condition didn't work. Called down to the desk, an theydidn't help me. Had to keep the window open the whole night and gotbitten by mosquitos and up most the night. The hotel didn't evenoffer Any compansation.

Review 99:The location was very good

Review 100:Some staff members at the reception - do not inform about extra charges, impossible to get in time linen, blankets etc

Review 101:Location, staff at dining room, housekeeping

Review 102:The room was not so clean, we even found a pack of cigarettes (with 1inside) under the couch, not advisable with kids in the room. There wasdust and dirt. The couch was dirty and thorn, covered with a sheet. There was no toothpaste or anything besides soap and little bags ofshampoo. The service was poor. The food was soso. We asked for a latecheckout because of the Jewish holiday, they told us they can'tunless we pay 2000 nis extra, that was more that one whole night.Frankly I've never seen a hotel refuse a late checkout, they couldhave let us stay until 2pm at least. Instate, they chose to throw us outwith 2 little kids. The finishing in the room was bad, there was placeswith no paint, some with old dirty paint, the ceiling had some placeswhere it was not even sanded.

Review 103:The location and view are great. We stayed in a double suite on the 11thfloor and could see the ocean, beach and city. The view was amazing byday and by night.

Review 104:Reception very unhelpful, only one receptionist went out of her way toget us a plug for the bath after asking for two days

Review 105:The position was good. Breakfast good and staff were helpful

Review 106:I really enjoyed my stay here. The big thing was the location to the beach and the friendliness of all the staff. This made my stay at this hotel really comfortable and happy. Big toda raba to all the staff. Keep smiling. I will come back for sure the next time I am in Netanya again!

Review 107:Did not have a stopper for the bathtab, did not get one till the secondday. Water pipe broke in second bathroom did not get to use it.Uncovered switch upstairs bathroom cause an electric shock. Nocontroller for ac when we arrived.

Review 108:Location Room desgin Price

Review 109:No wifi in the room, that is simply unacceptable in 2013 - we had agreat off-season deal, but without that deal this hotel would have beenoverpriced

Review 110:Nice, spacious room - great view - big balcony

Review 111:Nothing; I was pleased with everything.

Review 112:Don't know if the two were related, but when I checked in and theclerk learned I had booked with Booking.com, I got an upgrade to a suiteinstead of a room. The breakfasts were very good; typical good Israelibreakfast.

Review 113:Hotel staff went above and beyond in everything. Strongly recommend.

Review 114:Die Lage direkt am Meer.

Review 115:The hotel is shure to be urgently renewed. No meat dish on breakfast, only salted fish.

Review 116:Location, payless parking.
