Reviews for Ramada Hotel & Suites

Review 1:Lunch and diner buffet on weekdays poor. Limited choices and pre heated and yet very expensive for the money.

Review 2:Food above all. Just outstanding breakfast buffet and Friday evening.

Review 3:My nightly rate changed over the course of my stay - I thought I had locked in a fixed rate per night. Dinner buffet is a little expensive. Health Club is very small.

Review 4:Nice rooms, great views. Good restaurants. Safe area.

Review 5:Very late housekeeping service. This could take place up to 4pm, which made the spacious suite less useful in the day.

Review 6:The space in the suite was great, although the kitchen came with no utensils at all. The location has an unobstructed view of the sea, and there are a few restaurants to walk to apart from the hotel. Breakfast was good

Review 7:Having been a guest at this hotel twice in the last 2 years, I found that there is a drastic decline in the cleanliness of the hotel. The dining room (at breakfast) appeared not clean. The breakfast was very disappointing. It was impossible to use the toilets by the swimming pool there was such a bad smell in them because they had not been cleaned.

Review 8:The location is fantastic. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and lovely.

Review 9:Sewage smell in basement parking, unclear driveway entrance, only 1-2 staff at desk, water damage in room, garbage in adjacent lots. Whirlpool should have a button to allow guests to turn it on.

Review 10:Gorgeous view, very clean, amazing breakfast, beautiful, clean pool.

Review 11:For a 2 year old hotel the rooms looked pretty shabby as did the lobby area. Toiletries in bathroom were not to standard or non existent. Cleanliness of all areas and of suite was poor.

Review 12:Breakfasts were always great except for sabbath as there was no coffee apart from instant! Views and balcony were lovely.

Review 13:We've been staying here for a few days each year for each of the past 4 years or so. Unfortunately, the rooms are looking a bit shabby, with paint and other maintenance needed. The location isn't bad, but it's a longer walk to downtown Netanya, and there aren't many restaurant choices nearby. ALSO, the "king" bed is two twins pushed together with separate blankets that don't cover well.

Review 14:Beautiful view of the Sea from higher floors, and we really like the Deluxe Suite, which has a little kitchenette, spacious eating and sitting areas and a second, half-bath. The separate sitting area with tv is really nice when traveling from the U.S. and dealing with jet lag sleep problems! Hotel restaurant food and staff are good.

Review 15:I choose the hotel on the understanding there was a shuttle in to the town however on arrival through a shrug of the shoulders found that this was summer only and directed to use taxis. While the reception staff were always busy I did not find them of the standard expected. Communication was limited and with no information provided on arrival, not even directions as to how to find my suite. When I asked for the restaurant the receptionist pointed in the direction of the lift, after some wandering I found the restaurant on the floor above. It was only after I had been at the hotel for some time that information sheets were provided in English. One very patronising receptionist referred to me as the tourist not guest or client. I found the spa underwhelming and unprofessional, the treatment I had was not value for money as I didn't have my full time and the member of staff was leaving the room, checking her phone and calling for a taxi before I had even left the room. The choice of food at the pool was limited to a few meat meals. This is a hotel ideally suited for weekend breaks, large family groups, tour groups, business visitors and weddings.

Review 16:This is a newish hotel in the south of the town with a wonderful sea view. The suite was comfortable with a large balcony and amazing view. The restaurants provide excellent meals with good customer service and the pool and the facilities were great.

Review 17:not the same hotel as our last stay there..,.dissapointing

Review 18:Great customer service!

Review 19:Large and clean rooms, quiet, beautiful view and the breakfast was unique and elaborate

Review 20:Terrible welcome, carried our own cases, reception unwelcoming, uncaring staff.

Review 21:Very good food, friendly staff in restaurant. Lovely room.

Review 22:Spacious rooms, comfortable furniture, great location and delicious food

Review 23:Great food. Meryl and Noam are wonderful people. Thanks for a great stay!

Review 24:we have complained to Booking.com and sending separate email and photos

Review 25:nothing

Review 26:We found everything to be enjoyable.

Review 27:Average hotel with high prices

Review 28:Great breakfast

Review 29:Pool not open, too. Use preparing for Passover to really care

Review 30:Breakfast

Review 31:Chaotic housekeeping. Beds unmade, wrongly made, double duvet and sheets often forgotten.

Review 32:Almost everything. Excellent food.

Review 33:Angry Staff, No Internet. No proper baby crib No proper hospitality

Review 34:View

Review 35:Poor wifi - it is free though

Review 36:Good food and location

Review 37:What we did not like at the hotel was that when we arrived late at night with our car, it took a couple phone calls into the front desk and a long time (if memory serves, more than 10 minutes) for the garage gate to be opened. I don't see why a better system cannot be employed for a smoother experience. The bath products such as the shampoo have a nice scent, but overall were not great, and should be completely replaced. I've had better soaps at a best western. the shampoo is more on the globular side rather than having a gel-like consistency. At the Darya Spa, we did not like having to go to the front desk for shampoo & soap; and to the side room to fetch our own towels -- these amenities should be made available in the locker rooms themselves, and save guests the trouble.

Review 38:This property is situated in a stunning area along the coast of Israel in Netanya; it's a beautiful location, with the beach across the street, nearby shopping and access to major highways just minutes away. We loved the contemporary decor of the hotel and found the hotel to be very clean at all times. We stayed for two nights. Check in and check out was seamless; indeed the entire staff was pleasant, professional and helpful throughout. We were on our 10th anniversary, and the hotel had a nice card with chocolates waiting for us in our room - that was a thoughtful gesture. Our room was on the 11th floor so we had a large balcony with spectacular views. Breakfast was superb, replete with a wide array of cheeses, salads, pastries, cereals, omelette station, fresh fruit, juice and coffee bar. We were delighted that they even serve gluten free bread upon request. We availed ourselves twice to the Darya Spa and had the best treatments (thank you Atalia for coordinating!).

Review 39:the wall to our bedroom was shared with the bathroom next door. we could hear all the water noise, facets turning on, etc. it was as if I was in the bathroom itself. we went there to have a rest but were woken up at 7am!

Review 40:friendliness of staff & great location right along the promenade

Review 41:A problem arose with the booking which was in no sense my fault. The icons on booking.com indicated that this was a family room suitable for 2 adults and more than 2 children. I wrote very clearly in my notes that we had children of 13, 10 and 3. In spite of this, they insisted that we had to upgrade to a larger room at my expense after having placed us in the deluxe suite. The staff were simply appalling - disrespectful, with one insisting that I'd indicated the youngest child was a baby in spite of my notes in front of him stating his exact age, and at one point actually raising his voice to me and refusing to take any responsibility for what was blatantly the hotel's mistake. A manager I spoke to afterwards was only slightly better and said she wasn't bothered when I told her I would review the hotel poorly. The room ended up costing nearly $500, far more than I'd wanted to pay, but the hotel were unwilling to knock more than a risible $20 off the price despite their unarguable error in failing to read my notes and contact me before we arrived. I've never known more bad-tempered and incompetent service at a hotel, and in a supposedly reputable chain.

Review 42:Nice, large room (very bland and corporate as expected), good breakfast. .One member of staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 43:General maintenance needed improvement, hallways, carpets, walls in need of repair and cleaning, no kitchen items provided, quite expensive for what was provided

Review 44:Good location, large suite, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, nice pool area, close to promenade

Review 45:I was surprised that even in the paid spa area, there was no Jacuzzi. Israel may be hot in the summer, but nothing beats relaxing in jet streams with hot water directed at your muscles at the end of the day.

Review 46:The views to the water were breathtaking, especially at sunset. The breakfast buffet did not disappoint, leaving us full of delicious, fruits, veggies, cheeses, breads, fishes, pastries and entrees until way into lunch time. The 10 minute walk to the beach was a bit long for the summer heat, but you were rewarded with chairs and umbrellas, a cold drink on the house and of course the warm Mediterranean waves. Hotel parking was free and convenient so that driving to the beach was also an option. Finally, the hotel pool was a pleasant surprise, quite large and giving off a relaxing vibe with plenty of room for laps as well as corners with jet streams to relax in. All in all, a perfect place to escape the day to day, yet still a close driving distance to restaurant areas in Netanya and bigger cities like Tel Aviv.

Review 47:very slow response to requests to replace broken items or replenish bathroom toiletries; noticeable shower leak was reported but never attended to; no bellboy on duty on arrival was particularly annoying; daily room make-up was not consistent and demonstrated an overall lack of supervision;

Review 48:bright and spacious rooms; good choice at breakfast and very good friday night dinner

Review 49:Our particular suite had a strange odour in the bathroom that never disappeared, even with a permanent fan being used.

Review 50:Love the breakfast! The most varied in town & top quality. Keep it up,

Review 51:Our booking promised " a spacious suite, featuring a fully equipped kitchenette ...". When we arrived we discovered that " fully equipped" meant a micro wave oven, electric kettle and four cardboard beakers. The electric hotplates in all the suites are turned off and special arrangements have to be made to get them turned on. When we protested at the lack of cutlery, crockery and utensils - we were advised to "go to the restaurant and see if they will lend you some " ! When we spoke to the 'customer liaison manageress the next morning, her first reaction was to deny that the kitchenettes had ever been described as "fully equipped". When shown the Booking.com Confirmation - she muttered " I must speak to my manager about this - but she still refused to provide any utensils and we were forced to go out to the local Ikea and buy our own Prospective visitors should also be warned that the Ramada insists that all guests,on arrival pay a $50/day deposit " in order to guard against guests leaving without paying for the use of facilities" - I pointed out that this was an insulting and quite unnecessary procedure, bearing in mind that they already had a credit card print-out as security - but the response was that in the past,"some credit cards had proved to be worthless and they preferred to have the cash up front " ! In summary,we enjoyed our stay - but the management really needs to get its act together and ensure that prospective guests are precisely aware of the level of equipment provided in the kitchenette. They would also be advised to scrap the offensive 'cash up front deposit ' - which,we noticed was proving offensive to many other people arriving to check-in.

Review 52:The hotel is well placed and the comfortable rooms have outstanding views. The staff are invariably pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet is outstandingly good and the breakfast room itself is most welcoming.

Review 53:Firstly there needs to be some clothes hooks in the suites especially in the bathroom Secondly on arrival there was no porter to help with our luggage and after waiting 45mins for the cases to arrive in our room my husband had to bring 3 heavy cases himself Thirdly we arrived on the 6th November and we were shocked to find that the pool was closed even though it was 28 degrees Many of the guests were complaining about this There was no mention on your website about the pool closure We would not have sayed with you had we known beforehand especially as it takes 20 mins to walk down to the beach Even if it is November when it is so hot the pool should be open for a few hours as we did not come to your hotel to stay in our room

Review 54:The rooms are lovely and so is the pool area The breakfast was also excellent We both had a great massage in the spa

Review 55:Service was poor. Had to ask several times for enough towels and soap. Staff was not helpful. Difficult to even buy a bottle of water.

Review 56:suites were roomy and modern

Review 57:For such a modern hotel with great furnishings in the suite living areas, i thought the bathrooms were really dated looking and the general interior of the hotel felt more like an office block than a luxury hotel. The hotel made very little effort to make anything of the lobby, or the communal dining areas. I also really disliked how every day at the pool there was music blasting constantly - not a relaxing environment which caused us not to use the hotel pool much and head for the beach. Also, we tried the dinner one night and it was terrible. It really was like a microwaved meal - maybe it was.

Review 58:Fantastic rooms with the most spectacular views of the sea from all the suites because they are all sea facing. The lounge area and balcony were extremely spacious so you had loads of space to hang out in. Also, the hotel was very nice in extending our check out time by 4 hours because we had a late flight which we really appreciated.

Review 59:Pool closed at 6pm which was very early. Quite far from the beach. Had to queue for breakfast one morning when there was the facility to open the upstairs restaurant but this wasn't done. Then when the restaurant upstairs was opened due to the downstairs one being full the service wasn't good and the choice wasn't the same as downstairs ie. no watermelon upstairs, no hot chocolate, you had to order eggs from the waiters and it took a long time to be served. On our final day the maid knocked at our room at 9.10am to ask us when we were leaving. She woke us up and the previous night we had received a note telling us to check out at 11am so was very strange that she should even knock to ask us this!

Review 60:Room had great facilities and was very clean. Balcony overlooked the sea and was very large and comfortable to spend time on. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was varied and had lots of choice and was displayed beautifully. Had parking facilities which were very convenient.

Review 61:Lifts are a bit slow due to so many using them.

Review 62:Except for the fact that it was high season which made the breakfast area very noisy with so many kids running around, the staff are tremendous, helpful and pleasant. Room service is excellent.

Review 63:Where do I start.... The staff were rude, abrupt and generally unfriendly. Customer service has not hit this hotel yet. There was no record of our booking, not good when you arrive after a 12 hour journey. Our room only had a shower and this was not clear from the website. Also the shower only gave out cold water until we complained. There was no lounge space just to sit and relax other than a few hotel settees in the Lobby area. For a five star hotel, this was a very disappointing experience. It cost over £230 a night and frankly I have stayed in hotels less half of this cost and had a far better experience. I have never booked a Ramada hotel before and have always chosen Intercontinental and Hilton hotels. I won't be choosing Ramada again. Ps This is the first time that I have ever given feedback . It was just such a poor experience that I wanted others to know.

Review 64:The bedroom was comfortable and separate lounge was ideal.

Review 65:Staff need to learn a little more people management skills. Still a little room for improvement. I know it's Israel, but for the price we paid, I'd expect people to make more of an effort.

Review 66:The suites were comfortable with a great pool and free Internet.

Review 67:the hotel was too far from the town at least a thirty minute walk.more like forty in the heat. very noisy with kids yelling in the corridors.not suitable for older clients.the furnishings round the pool were dirty.the hotel already looked poorly maintained.

Review 68:the breakfasts were very good although the service was not thoughtful

Review 69:Poorly trained reception staff Terrible housekeeping

Review 70:Premier suite with large balcony Free parking Excellent breakfast

Review 71:Computer down....did not show me bill before I left. What if they charged something wrong?

Review 72:Location

Review 73:we had a great time.

Review 74:the service was very bad in hotel from all staff!!!

Review 75:The receptionist was rude.

Review 76:As expected.

Review 77:the chairs on the balcony, no tooth paste

Review 78:the vuew, the suite was beautifull, the breakfast fantastic.

Review 79:Generally a first class hotel

Review 80:Far from the beach, dinner was not so perfect

Review 81:Nice rooms with excellent view, good breakfast

Review 82:the clean and the mainainance

Review 83:My stay was comfortable

Review 84:The hot water kept changing temp

Review 85:New

Review 86:Needed to return to rectify costly check-in error, very inconvenient

Review 87:Quiet-good breakfast-good waiting staff -reception helpful
