Reviews for Margoa Hotel Netanya
Review 1:We did just have a very good time at Your hotel and will recommend it to Our friends!!
Review 2:The staff was very kindly and helpful. The room was very nice. The hotel was very near the Beach.
Review 3:This hotel is outside American rating system...even one star is too much..not sure about Israel standards but doubt it can be given any stars even in Israel.. The worst place we ever stayed...and we are traveling extensively for 34 years
Review 4:Only location
Review 5:The hotel was last renovated into 1900!! The pictures were deceiving! Was old and dirty and had a bad smell!! The bed were uncomfortable! No hotel service! more like a bed and breakfast.
Review 6:We didn't mind the slightly dated feel. But the room was not well maintained; we reported several problems, all addressed, though not necessarily on first report. The breakfast experience wasn't very nice. Tables didn't seem very clean (nor did some of the staff :-( ) and somehow the food appeared less appetising as a consequence.
Review 7:Excellent location, near the main square.
Review 8:Wonderfully located just a block from the beach, promenade, Independence Square, dancing waters fountains, and cafes of seaside Netanya. While not a luxury hotel, it's a great value with everything one needs. Rooms are spacious to accommodate children too.
Review 9:showwer cubicle old and rusty. air conditioning kept spraying water on my bed took 3 days for them to decide they couldn't fix finally moved me to a better room
Review 10:location. Staff very pleasant.
Review 11:We booked twin beds but when we arrived the beds were together as a double. However as we had a lounge area with a bed settee I slept there. A bit noisy at night as there did not seem to be much sound proofing.
Review 12:I visited the Margoa with a friend for a couple of days relaxation . We were well looked after. Our room was great and we had a lovely terrace. The staff were very attentive and helpful even though we do not speak much Hebrew
Review 13:Old and cramped rooms that need a makeover. It was a little scary, actually: many of the unoccupied rooms' doors were open, the door to the balcony (4th floor) didn't fully close, and the locks on the doors are old and flimsy--made me wonder if I would be robbed during the night (I wasn't :).
Review 14:Very good breakfast and ideal location. Private parking was nice, although it was a little hard to find because the signs are only in Hebrew.
Review 15:Staff extremely helpful and proactively offering services and help well beyond what is expected. Very good breakfast with big selection of food. Excellent location.
Review 16:During our stay there were two orthodox jewish wedding receptions at the hotel. The wedding parties’ kids were playing in the guest floor hall until late at night, which was annoying. The hotel had a security guard on duty during the weekend. Security was apparently a concern. The hotel manager chased after me up the stairs and questioned me (unaware I was a guest) when I returned to the hotel to retrieve something in the evening. Furniture was worn, but functional. The shower had a manual louver window vent that was difficult to access and to operate. We couldn’t find any English speaking stations on the room tv. On Saturday, apparently the hotel follows sabbath rules and this decreases the variety of breakfast food variety available and the quality of coffee suffers (prepared and brewed the day previous).
Review 17:Limited hotel parking, street parking is available and is free from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are grateful that we could check-in to the room one day earlier. Checked-in on Thursday, checked-out on Sunday. The room was clean. We felt quite safe in the area. The hotel is located almost next to the beach and it appears most residents have an upper income level. Netanya is a good place to stay on the central coast. There are no tourist attractions here other than the beach and promenade. Caesarea, Meghiddo, and Nazarath are a short drive. There is a considerable recent Russian immigrant population and they serve great tasting and large portions of food at their owned restaurants. This hotel provides good value for money in a great location. I would recommend to stay at this hotel, however avoid stays on Friday and Saturday nights to avoid any scheduled wedding events.
Review 18:Had a few ants with us in the room which was a bit disconcerting but the management gave a fair reduction in room rental, because of this issue. (stayed one night as we continued our travels)
Review 19:Very kind and helpful staff.
Review 20:The rooms had been modernised but not the bathroom. The bath mat was old and a bit slippery, could be dangerous. Most of the staff, not all, were not particularly friendly. Just polite.
Review 21:Very nice room. Breakfasts were very good and free coffee, tea, etc. nearly always available. Plenty of seating at front of hotel. Once we sorted out the a/c in our room it was fine.
Review 22:The rooms are hard to manuever because the bed takes up the entire room. Bring your own hair dryer because the one provided has very low wattage. Toiletries provided only include soap and shampoo. Breakfast buffet is typical Israeli fare so don't expect American style breakfast.
Review 23:The Margoa is right near the elevator to the public beach and about a block or 2 from the center of the main plaza. The room rates are very reasonable and breakfast is included. The staff is very friendly. You should realize that this is a no frills hotel and its biggest asset is its convenience to everything.
Review 24:Air comfitioner leaked, no englidh tv, small room, bathroom much too small, food was poor quality.
Review 25:Nothing
Review 26:Staff was wonderful. Food was delicious.... friendly environment...walking distance to beach, plaza, restaurants, etc....
Review 27:Air conditioner is outdated and noisy
Review 28:Parking is on the street, but not much available.

Review 36:very good service whith a smile and cood breakfast
Review 37:The breakfast could be better...
Review 38:I loved the location in front of the beach and also the newly renovated room. The staff were friendly, too.

Review 40:Bathrooms, and tiny rooms

Review 57:Loved being near the ocean.
Review 58:Everything,that is the worse hotel in Israel
Review 59:Nothing,nada, כלום, ничего
Review 60:Kettle in the room with no cups, tea or coffee. Minor gripe

Review 63:good location. coffee is served during all day.
Review 64:nice atmosphere, rooms at 6th floor with big sea view balconies, open minded and friendly stuff, and best location close to beach elevator and kikar
Review 65:Nothing.
Review 66:Over all agood and comfortable holiday.
Review 67:Friendly and profesjonall straff, good location.
Review 68:Not much parking availability.
Review 69:Location and breakfast
Review 70:The rooms were very small and outdated. It was difficult to move around in the room and the bathroom
Review 71:The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly The location was great - close to the beach and to the promenade
Review 72:All was perfect therefore there was nothing that we did not like!
Review 73:Care from management. Made us very welcome. Gave us a very nice room on a low floor as we requested.
Review 74:Its not so cheap
Review 75:This is a traditional Hebrew hotel very popular locally for Shabbat with well furnished comfortable rooms and good food. And if you are such a big shot that the food doesn't suit you there is Miriam's Grill next door and its terrific. Don't worry if your Hebrew isn't so hot because the manager and the reception clerk speak enough of numerous languages.
Review 76:The decor was not old but it was very drab and unattractive.
Review 77:We were upgraded to sweet which was very commodious, but we never got to see the regular rooms.
Review 78:Delicious food, free hot, cold drinks, nice family atmosphere, 200m from the beach. Finally, I should like to offer the all staff sincere thanks for this excellent stay in your friendly hotel.
Review 79:Small rooms are not very comfort, uncomfortable bathroom. Outside view is terrible except expensive rooms/suites. Small parking.
Review 80:Very responsive, kind, friendly and swift staff, good breakfasts. Rooms are cleaned in due time, lot of Russian-speaking staff. Would stay again in case if I stay in this city.
Review 81:Hotel underwent significant renovation- however it is not complete yet. Once they will finish it is gonna be a great place to stay.
Review 82:Great personnel attitude. You may get much more than you pay as only possible. Good location. Diversified breakfast. Great location- near the beach and promenade.
Review 83:I've spent one week in this hotel and really enjoyed it!The location is amazing, right next to the sea coast. The hotel is very clean, cozy, staff is very responsive! All excursions from Netanya start very early in the morning and according to the hotel schedule they start to serve breakfast from 7 a.m., but breakfast was always available from 6 a.m. and many thanks to the hotel staff for this!I will choose with pleasure this hotel for my next trip to Israel)
Review 84:Location is outstanding; guests are made to feel very welcome; 24-hour hot drinks are a great advantage; breakfast, whilst not lavish, is very acceptable.
Review 85:A little bit old sanytary, like tap, shower. Too small rooms for two.
Review 86:I like it! The staff very responsive. Breakfast is ok. Near the beach. Clean in room ok.
Review 87:Overall it was a fine stay, but the breakfast was medium quality. Iwould still recommend it!
Review 88:The hotel was well situated near the major shopping promenade andbeach. There are lots of restaurants nearby as well to enjoy a varietyof cuisines. The hotel was incredibly busy during our stay of onenight, but we were looked after. The breakfast was a traditional middleeastern buffet of cheeses, vegetables and breads. The rooms werecomfortable and the family room is a great value for the amount ofamenities that you get!
Review 89:the food./more attractive to eat. they told me to wait when i was standing @ reception.i sat with the family for 20min,before a manager arrived to help me./ We spend 8 days there, not with the money and my room.
Review 90:The set .deco is okay.
Review 91:great position very close to the beach - elevator down to beach. Great position for the town centre & many coffee shops and eating places. Very friendly atmosphere. Even towels available for the beach.
Review 92:They advertise free parking! They only have 2-3 spaces, as a result we got a ticket even though we put 2 of their flyers by the windshield. It is dark and dingy Would definitely not go back
Review 93:It was clean
Review 94:They advertise that parking is possible on sight is possible. It is not. The only parking is in the street where they have five reserved places. If spaces are not available you risk a fine parking the street. Room small and cramped. General layout of hotel very poor. All in all not a good experience and would certainly not use this hotel again.
Review 95:Internet worked.
Review 96:Breakfast could be better. A little noisy place.
Review 97:Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location - very close to the beach and to the city center. Clean and comfotable hotel.
Review 98:Food Staff Management Cleanliness They gave us the best rooms in the Hotel on the top floor. Other rooms werent as nice. Excellent value for money
Review 99:The service at dinner was a bit slap-happy. For instance, we were still eating our starter when the waiter slapped a chicken leg on our plates and served hot rice for the main course.
Review 100:Very helpful, easy-going staff who quickly put right any shortcomings in the room. Free tea and coffee all the time. Generous buffets at breakfast and dinner. Tolerance of children and large parties of tourists singing hymns at the dinner table.
Review 101:Caters to old age crowd Limited parking Bathroom could be cleaner Roomsmelled of mildew Breakfast far from stellar Entire place seemed"old and tired"
Review 102:Location Excellent wifi and wifi speed Parking was available
Review 103:Old furniture, the bed is not much confortable, the tube was littledirty, some noises stranges after you close the water of the tube orshowher but it finish in 05/07 minutes.it is not a big trouble.
Review 104:Breakfast excelent, no much noise at the room or outside thesame(infront of the street) at the 05 th floor, parking freeclose the hotel
Review 105:No parking available. Had to pay at a nearby public parking lot.
Review 106:The rooms were outdated. However, the bed was comfortable. Budget 6 style. Very friendly staff at free breakfast buffet.
Review 107:Hotel is a bit run-down, first room we were given had not been cleaned, used towels all over the bathroom floor, had to look at several other rooms before finding one that was acceptable.
Review 108:Price and location. The hotel was very inexpensive and OK for one night, would not recommend for an extended stay.
Review 109:Reception desk does not seem professionally manned; elevator is hard to get; a second elevator would be useful; synagogue is used as a storeroom
Review 110:Pleasant atmosphere; refrigerator and kettle in room (but why no cups, teabags, coffee etc.?), hot drinks available all day and night
Review 111:Tiny bathroom
Review 112:The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is near the promenade, and breakfast is sumptuous.
Review 113:Breakfest perfect, room is clean and nice, best ever hotel!
Review 114:there was nothing to dislike
