Reviews for Mykonos Palace Beach Hotel

Review 1:The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful and always willing to stop for a chat or offer advice on where to go or what to do. We were amazed at the hospitality, truely some of the best we received through Europe. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hotel was a 100m walk along the beach to the local bus stop to get into town. Could not speak highly enough of our experience here!

Review 2:I didn't like the fact that I needed to pay for the sunbed beach chair every day, specially because I am already paying for my staying, plus spending a lot in the bar and restaurant.

Review 3:Perfect location. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Review 4:15 Euros for a beach side lounger is a bit steep. It should be complimentary with your stay. The restaurant food was a bit pricey but very good

Review 5:The Mykonos Palace Beach Hotel is the best hotel in the best area on the island. Friendly and accommodating staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and the location cannot be matched. The pool is a 15 second walk from the beach and the restaurant overlooks stunning scenery.

Review 6:The breakfast could improve and they shouldn't charge 20 euros for their sun beds even if you only use one it should be discounted if you are a guest.

Review 7:We liked being right on the beach and being a 2 min walk from the bus stop to take us into town.

Review 8:It's not luxurious at all despite paying extra to have a luxury room with balcony and other facilities but they are all sub par additions. The balcony was 0.3 meter long. Checkout times are not convenient with airlines times

Review 9:It's near the beach and has a swimming pool

Review 10:The pool area had clear blinds pulled down (that weren't clean) the whole time so they blocked the view of the ocean from the pool. They need gym facilities too.

Review 11:The staff at this hotel were possibly the most friendly staff I have come across at any hotel around the world. The location was perfectly situated half way between the main town and paradise beach (party area). Our hotel was in a nice quiet area but with enough action. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 12:The room was not up to a 4-star standard and was in bad need of maintenance. It was clean, but fixtures and fittings needed update, e.g. someone had the great idea of covering the rust of the bathroom mirror with badly crafted painted ocean waves, making it look even worse. It was also too noisy and the mattresses a bit too old, making it impossible to sleep past 8 am, not ideal when you are on holidays trying to catch up on sleep. The hotel will undergo a renovation in October and will reopen as a 5-star hotel, but as of today it is rather disappointing. About the restaurant: I have severe food allergies and although I explained what I can and cannot eat, I didn't get what I order but the standard version which I had to send back to the kitchen.

Review 13:The location was good

Review 14:i wouldnt say i didnt like it but i just need to remind people this is not W hotel.

Review 15:the staff, very helpful and friendly, we even become Facebook friends!

Review 16:Fantastic location as a central location for all the top quality surrounding beaches by water taxi. Lovely surrounding restaurants and only 15 minutes from the main town by bus. But my favourite was the breakfast by the beach. Highly recommend this hotel

Review 17:Customer service was un-acceptable. When we requested a private room they totally ignored us. We were constantly awakened by drunken people at all hours of the night. A beautiful young lady by the name of Kiriaki was the only friendly person in charge.

Review 18:The food and location of the hotel was excellent. The veranda overlooking the beach was breathtaking.

Review 19:The room was WAY overpriced for what you get. We had a beautiful shared balcony overlooking the beach but it was not worth the 350 euro. The bathroom was ok- it all smelled a little. It's not close to the city Center. The chairs to sit on the beach are expensive.

Review 20:Right on the beach. Beautiful restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was good.

Review 21:nothing really to fault

Review 22:Friendly staff and very helpful, beautiful hotel, value for money, loved the location, hotel was kept clean at all times would definitely book this hotel again.

Review 23:They had a mix up with our room so they placed us in a completely different hotel down the road for night. This room was dingy, two single beds and simply not that nice. We than had to check out of that place at 12pm and wait around till after 3pm for our correct room to be checked out of and cleaned. It was a complete screw up of two days. They gave us soap as a present but it simply isn't good enough especially when it was so expensive to start with. We were not impressed.

Review 24:the bed was really hard, the pool was always full and no nice view to the beach, breakfast could have been more lovely

Review 25:location at the beach was awesome

Review 26:Our stay was absolutely beautiful. The staff are so lovely and went above and beyond what we expected - Elena at the front desk and Elena by the beach were amazing. The sea view rooms were great. The beach itself is the best on the island.

Review 27:Paying €10/person for airport and port transfers. €7.5/person to get drop in town, bus down the road costs €1.60. For an expensive hotel it's overpriced big time

Review 28:Location

Review 29:The room was next to a bar that stayed open till 330am. So noisy. Was the worst. I asked to move rooms twice with no luck.

Review 30:The beach was out the front.

Review 31:Wifi wasn't very good

Review 32:The staff were really nice and helpful. A big thank you to Vasili and the lady at reception with the short blonde hair! They were so helpful when I was leaving to get a ferry to Santorini. Vasili drove me all the way to the shop so I could pick up my ticket- arrived at the port just in time. He was my hero! A big big thank you to them both for looking after me ☺️

Review 33:The manager was really rude and tried to give us a lesser room than we booked and paid for online. We had to stay one night overlooking the pool (ugh) even though we booked a room with a superior sea view and balcony. They did end up moving us to the room we booked online the following day but beware they said they don't promise the room described on booking.com when you arrive, which I was very upset about as it feels like a bait-and-switch/very misleading.

Review 34:The views and location are stunning! We loved the location.

Review 35:Half the staff was nice and the other half was really rude. We had to search for our room ourselves which in this type of hotel is a problem. We got yelled at for swimming in the pool after dark not for safety but fear of disturbing the guests in the really loud bar. More towels could be provided especially since it's on a beach. Wifi slow.

Review 36:Awesome location. Amazing view. Really nice atmosphere. Clean

Review 37:The wifi connection wasn't very good in the rooms but worked well in the common areas.

Review 38:I loved everything about our stay in this hotel right on the beach and centrally located between the town and Paradise beach resort. The rooms were super white and spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful and it was the most perfect place to be.

Review 39:The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Loved every minute of the trip. The faculity is on the beach, and you can wake up to free breakfast on the beach. There is a convenient bus into town that runs until about 11:45 at night which is convenient, otherwise it is about a 15 euro cab ride.

Review 40:We were awoken in the middle of the night by other guests downstairs in the foyer. Sound travels across large shiny surfaces. The plumbing was noisy. Taps downstairs in the kitchen can be heard upstairs. Our beds gave us both sore backs the next morning. They are renovating, so there were drills going, tradesmen and electrical cords and equipment.

Review 41:The style of the hotel is a lovely traditional Greek style. Though it's too early in the season, their beach looked inviting. The staff were warm and friendly.

Review 42:nothing

Review 43:Loved my 4nts stay before returning to Australia.Everything perfect.Location right on sand of most b/ful pristine beach Front desk staff so helpful & professional.Thnx for 4.30am early morn call & thnx to Maria young girl incharge of b/fast room so cheerful & professional every morn.Loved my room décor all white with a garden patio, will return

Review 44:people smoking in the eating areas

Review 45:location right on beach handy to walks, and bus to town, Motel pizza, cocktals and massages on the beach. three days of total relaxation

Review 46:Internet was only available in public areas. Breakfast could have had a few more hot foods such as bacon and grilled tomatoes.

Review 47:Location is very good, with the dining area facing on to the beach. Mykonos town is a short bus trip away. Room was comfortable and a good size.

Review 48:We had the best room on the property. Beautiful view and a huge terracethat had chairs and lounges on. The room was big and the bathroom roomyas well. My biggest complaint was how old the furnishings, bedding andlines were.It was like stepping back into the 1980'S. The lightingwas horrific. The room was anything but warm and inviting. It was verysterile and hospital like. It even smelled like a hospital

Review 49:I liked the location. It was fun to walk to various beaches from there.I also felt that there was enough restaurants in the area to choose fromif you did not want to go into town. I was close enough to town howeverif you did want to hop in a taxi. The bus system is very availablealthough we only used it once.

Review 50:Service in the restaurant could be improved, by having the same waiter throughout the meal. We had 3 different waiters serving us each evening

Review 51:Lovely view of the pretty harbour, from our own balcony, in a large spacious room. A magical atmosphere in the terrace bar each evening looking out at the lights from the yachts moored the harbour, bars and houses. Food was excellent, we ate in several restaurants, but Notos Restaurant was far superior.

Review 52:Paying for sunbeds Toilet area was disgusting and smelled the whole stayed Tv reception was pathetic Staff were unattentive and unhelpful Whole experience was not great. Would never come back

Review 53:Not much

Review 54:Right,where do I begin? I will have to start with the rudest person I have ever met in a hotel, the woman who is responsible for bookings. She was unreally rude to me when I checked in and realized that although I had booked for a room with a sea view( hotel and booking.com mixture, I don't know who is to blame for, but surely it's the hotel's issue in the end)and also paid this when I booked because they obvisously didn't want me to see the room and run before paying? Anyway, the woman tells me it's not her fault that I don't read. Believe me I know how to read. So there was an arguement and I was a bit upset(like angry upset) because I was waiting for my friend from abroad and she also expected a room with a sea view. She was the rudest ever. I don't know if there's a chance that she may be the owner's daughter, cause even my friend thought that she couldn't have that attitude otherwise. So on our check out day, we were at the reception and she was talking to a couple possibly from Italy and the incident went like this: her:THIS-IS-NOT-THE-BILL(THAT'S WHAT I THINK SHE SHOUTED), IT'S CRE-DITS!!! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND? OF COURSE! ..Me and my friend looked at each other, couldn't believe what she just said and her overall disgusting behavior to that couple. I STRONGLY advise against this hotel, even if that woman is the actual reason. She shouldn't be in that position, because people pay money to have a nice time and they shouldn't be surrounded by ignorant and arrogant, rude and may I say racist people that shout at them and have the worst attitude. THANK YOU.

Review 55:It's a nice location, the staff overall was alright. Some even wellfriendly. Especially the girl that was doing the room and the girl thatwas doing room service. Food is ok but stuck in the 80's I wouldsay. The room was clean enough. But I mean we stayed for our last day atPetinos Beach Hotel which is also in Platis Gialos and we just felt thedifference immediately. The people at the reception were extremelyprofessional and kind. The hotel is clean and the overall felling isthat you are somewhere that you are actually welcome. The restaurantThea, we just hadn't expected what good quality of food we wouldfind there.

Review 56:Toilet is very old, noisy corridors, needs soundproofing, breakfast ispoor for price charged, small and old towels

Review 57:Location, bed, pillows, pool bar, restaurant

Review 58:Notos Beach restaurant was delicious, hotel was in a great location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Booked excursions for us and got us a taxi for Cavo Paradiso. Breakfast included everything I could have imagined--got stuffed on breakfast and had a lovely time in the pool and ocean at Platys Giolos--LOVED IT HERE!

Review 59:Wi-fi was flaky at the best of times.Needs improving!

Review 60:The hotel is right on the beach and fairly central to the resort. We stayed in room 107 a room with a full frontal sea view, and waking up to the view each morning was magnificent. Always spent the first half hour of each day sitting on the terrace that came with the room (in addition to its balcony). Fabulous panoramic view of the whole resort. The room was cleaned to a high standard each day and for that a big "shout out" must go to the lady who cleaned our room. Even saw her cleaning the back of the door, so thorough was she.I hope the hotel realise what a diamond they have in her! The reception staff were polite and helpful, and special mention must go to the ever-smiling Alexandra (or was it Alexandria? Didn't like to stare at the name badge), a lovely young lady.Plenty of choice for breakfast giving a good start to the day, and as the restaurant is on the outside terrace it provides a fabulous view whilst eating. However, I think the toaster has seen better days and does need replacing. Once again special mention to the young lady who manages the breakfast service, always polite and ensured tables were cleared as soon as they were vacated. The hotel's bar, again with a fabulous view overlooking the sea,has a feature cocktail bar. Spacious, relaxing and quite classy.I've seen lots of comments about the prices, generally that they are on the high side. Yes they are, but it's not just this hotel. It's the price you pay for staying in a resort that has little or no competition, that is, all the hotels charge pretty much the same. In summary a great holiday base, nice people, great room, lovely resort. Would absolutely return to this hotel for a holiday. Well done Mykonos Palace.

Review 61:I loved the beach bar which stayed open until late, the position of this was amazing and the cocktail waiter exceptional, friendly and courteous and very talented.

Review 62:- Rooms were Extremely SMALL and uncomfortable with NO windows (deceptive pics) - A narrow shutter door a normal adult could just pass through (overall, pictures very misleading of the rooms) - Bathroom shower looked bad with mildew throughout caulking, seriously - When pointed out, the guy who checked us in began to give a lesson on the science of why mildew occurs (zero sense of accountability) - He made no attempt to compensate for the poor room or to find a better one - Low frequency base thumping from the bar lounge until 4:30 in the morning (try to block that out) - Lobby was dreary and dark - At almost $400 a night, you'd think the owner could invest some back into this converted barn - And finally, at these prices, the guy who checked us in seemed so proud on how he was going to give us a Certificate for a free 0.5L caraf of wine... once again, seriously!

Review 63:- The location is really beautiful and right at the beach - The bed was clean with nice linens - Girl at the front desk was pleasant and helpful - Food at the restaurant was pretty good

Review 64:Not one thing we were unhappy with

Review 65:Absolutely everything was perfect. Was the best 4 days of out entire 6 week trip, staff were genuine and went up and beyond for us.

Review 66:The internet was not very good in the rooms. The beach chairs were 10 euros per day, but it had seemed like they would be provided on booking.com as part of the rate. It was an unexpected expense, but we did spend several days on the beach and enjoyed the views.

Review 67:We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I saw some pictures online that looked like rooms were under renovation, which made me nervous - but to our pleasant surprise, the rooms were in great shape and very clean. The hotel location was great - beachside, with restaurants and bus stop within blocks. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel and location.

Review 68:Lights didnt work on arrival but were given free drinks while we waited for them to be fixed.

Review 69:Location was amazing - right on beach. Room was a good size with nice bed.

Review 70:The only problem I had was, with the room. When I booked I was suppose to get a sofa bed for my daughter & got just a sofa with bed sheets. For me a sofa bed means a pull out bed. My daughter was not comfortable.

Review 71:The service was excellent, especially Chris, he took care of us by the beach & at the restaurant there were 2 guys who always made sure we were happy, unfortunately I did not get their names.

Review 72:We were not ready for the one shower curtain that extended across the shower platform and the toilet. Nor for the listed request that no paper be placed in the toilet. I suppose this is more about our expectations than the hotel's, though. We did struggle to receive internet in our room and had to use the computers in the lobby.

Review 73:Clearly, location is the best thing although the staff was very helpful and the bed was comfortable. I think the female workers were a little more personable. I booked our room just days before and it was still in a nice spot across the street from the lobby on the first floor. We were always 30 seconds from having our feet in the ocean and there were numerous water toys (jet skis, etc) nearby as well. The nearby restaurants and bars were excellent, within a half-minute walk and also right on the beach. It was just a two minute walk to the bus stop that is the end of the route for the bus that takes you into mykonos city, which is known as little Venice because no cars are allowed in a portion of it. This is also where we caught our ferries to and from athens. The bus rides into town take about 15 minutes in watching these bus drivers maneuver these huge coach buses through these tiny streets is an adventure in itself. The staff arranged for a cab to take us to the ferry and was quite pleasant and knowledgeable. The sand in front of this hotel was a bit harder than that down the way but I didn't mind this since it kept our area less populated. Remember that you will have to pay for using an umbrella and beach chairs. We spent a full day with our feet inches from the water. Massage ladies and beach boy waiters are always around as well. oh- its also just a short walk on the beach to water taxis that can take you to other beaches.

Review 74:The waiters at the restraunt were slow and ignored you when it didn't suit them or you wanted to pay the bill.

Review 75:Staff were friendly, location was perfect, restraunt and pool bar food was great, rooms were clean and our balcony was amazing with a panaramic view of the beach. The sunbeds on the beach you had to pay for but the ones around the pool are just as nice. I would highly recommend staying at Mykonos Palace.

Review 76:Just before we arrived we were informed that our reservation (sea view) could not be kept due to a "problem" and we would be given a bigger room with pool view. In fact we were given "Zeus Suite", room 208 which is more of a corridor than a room. Right next to the bar, the music kepts us awake till 2 am, EVERY NIGHT!!!! In fact there was no view at all as all windows facing garbage on the back side of the bar.

Review 77:Location, a few meters from the beach

Review 78:We booked a double room with 'partial sea view' specifically asking for two separate beds. When we arrived, the room had absolutely no sea view, had only one bed, the hair conditioner in the bathroom was half used (which is nitpicking I know, but for a four star hotel it's rather unacceptable I think), it was very loud, and it was so dark that we had to turn the lights on even during the day. We asked to change the room to a room with a sea view that we paid for, and they said that they are fully booked and can't do anything. We said that in that case we'd have to leave because our room is unacceptable, and then it turned out they were not fully booked after all. Quite unpleasant hypocrisy. The other room was exactly the same so we head to leave anyway. They could've at least offered a refund if they had some integrity, but no. Overall a very unpleasant experience.

Review 79:Private beach Not far from the airport

Review 80:The rooms could do with an upgrade but still they are very nice and comfortable

Review 81:Really nice hotel, rooms are very standard but clean and comfortable. The restaurant is really good and pool staff very friendly. The beach is more relaxed than some of the other beaches but it is really easy to get around to and from the other beaches. The pool area is really nice with lots of space to sit and relax.

Review 82:Rooms were very run down and dirty and very disappointed with one staff member his name was panyis was very rude and unhelpful

Review 83:The location the outdoor entertaining area was great

Review 84:The location of the hotel couldn't be better. The staff and the quality of food in the restaurant hotel was the best I have experienced despite staying in some top hotels throughout the world. I can't recommend the hotel highly enough and would travel back here in a heart beat! 5*

Review 85:Room itself was a bit small and not as romantic feel as I would have liked. A little basic.

Review 86:Service and the room balcony was the best.

Review 87:The location of the Hotel and friendliness of the staff were great. Very helpful and courteous.

Review 88:Beach front, breakfast is fresh daily, staff is friendly. They even contacted me about a credit card I forgot in the safe!

Review 89:Amazing breakfast

Review 90:Taxi service
