Reviews for Deborah Hotel By Arcadia Hotels Chain

Review 1:The Israeli hospitality is simply amazing! I landed after a really long flight & Avi was awesome. He facilitated my early check in request & even gave me advice on the free tours. The other staff were really pleasant, helpful & cheerful as well. The location is great as well, quite central & there's a supermarket & shops nearby.

Review 2:the front desk staff is so arrogant and not accomodating. He wants to charge us TAx eventhough we are not Israeli citizens. The room we occupied was so disgusting and uncomfortable. The carpet was wet and the ceiling was so annoying, you can see traces that rainwater had entered the roof. The aircondition is not functioning well. This hotel is too expensive yet service and facilities is poor.

Review 3:location

Review 4:Very helpful stuffs. clean room. Good breakfast. Not noise. Good location, 3 minutes to the beach promenade. 2 minutes to supermarket. A lot of cafes around location. Next time in Tel-Aviv will stay here again. Thanks to management and stuff!

Review 5:If u dont want to much money and u eant to be in the center and a clean place to stay its a must!!! :-) also great stuff... It has no fridge but I didnt need it so it wasnt problem for me... Great hotel!!! :-)

Review 6:- Not soundproof rooms - No cleaning every day - Smell - Furniture needs update

Review 7:- Wi-Fi internet - Food - Location - View - Lobby and cafeteria service

Review 8:SCANDALEUX ! Nous avons dû faire le lit à 22h . Ou est le personnel? Un responsable ? . ! ! ! ! Salle de bain très triste ! Le bruit génant de l'ascenseur chambre 1109 ! A éviter ! ! ! ! !

Review 9:La situation. Le petit dejeûner. L'amabilité de monsieur PATRICK à la réception , mais qui n'a rien su faire contre la réelle mauvaise foi et volonté du service d'étage.

Review 10:The room facilities were very worn. Paint is peeled, mold on the bathroom walls. No soap, shampoo or body soap in bathroom (just a dispenser for one liquid soap)

Review 11:The employed error about the room price change USD to NIS They ask me to pay the difference at the end because of they error

Review 12:Good bed Good location Quiet

Review 13:1. There are no amenities in the room (slippers, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo). 2. The half day city tour (Jaffa and Tel Aviv) is so short; while the visit to the diamond center is very long.

Review 14:The hotel is nicely situated -- few minutes walk to the beach and ready bus (public transpo.) in front of the hotel. The breakfast is good.

Review 15:The facility is very dated and a very tired decor. Carpets in hallways were old, worn and stained in places. Room had tile and new laminate. Room cleaning could use some improvement...(I cleaned my rooms previous occupant's beard trimmings from the pedestal sink shelf)...

Review 16:Front desk staff were very courteous, helpful and spoke very good English. Location is just a block from the beach and cafés and shops in the opposite direction. The front desk staff is what makes this hotel adequate.

Review 17:Location... A bit out from city center (but not too far to be a problem.)

Review 18:There was a bath and it was clean.

Review 19:IN GENERAL TEL AVIV IS EXPENSIVE, VERY EXPENSIVE

Review 20:the street was really loud and the windows did not provide any noise insulation

Review 21:nice view, good location

Review 22:no parking

Review 23:Old buiding, old furniture. Not clear room.

Review 24:Location

Review 25:Everything else

Review 26:Great!

Review 27:Location ... Patrick professional and friendly receptionist I ever met

Review 28:Rooms are old style. But clean and beds are comfortable.

Review 29:Perfect location. Good breakfast! Until 09:50am breakfast is available.

Review 30:good location, met our needs.

Review 31:Room Level in top floor.

Review 32:lover price, 5 min to seaside

Review 33:hotel is used. Refreshment required.

Review 34:localization good, clean enough. Breakfest standard but good enough.

Review 35:They charged 1 night be cause I arrive at 8 am . But they dont offer breakfast . And they dont advertise about.

Review 36:Old facilities, requiring refurbishing. Bad mattresses. Small place where breakfast is served.

Review 37:Good staff.

Review 38:What I wrote above.

Review 39:Facilities need a full refurbishing. There is noise from the street. Room where breakfast is served is too small.

Review 40:Chose this hotel as know owned bt Rabbi, have shiurim, Bet Knesset etc so very upset had to pack and vacate room on Shabbat. Staff really tried to help, gave us longer and place for bags but for Chagim and Shabbat religious Jews should be allowed to stay put. No soap in shower, tissues in toilet for Shabbat, or mini extras like shampoo. Breakfast adequate but poor, eg choice of cereal, no yoghurts etc.

Review 41:Staff very helpful nice atmosphere great position nice room and pleasantly surprised with bathroom Great to have Shabbat lift Got lovely quiet room as requested

Review 42:Nothing to indicate.

Review 43:I liked the location very near to the sea and the Promenade. The staff at the reception is very friendly . Beautiful view from the wuindow, well equipped and confortable room.

Review 44:the hotel is a little bit old, not very modern. Breakfast is ok but could be better, it is not so good as the rest of services

Review 45:the rooms are large, very clean, silent, (we were on the 10th floor), the position is very good 3 min walking from the beach, the wifi works in excellent way and the staff is very very nice and helpful

Review 46:very noisy, thin thin windows. and the light comes right through the curtains. i was awake at 5:30am. also due to street noise.

Review 47:you get what you pay for. "cheap" hotel in the center of tel aviv.

Review 48:Traffic noise in AM, but it is Tel Aviv.

Review 49:Great location and price. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean. Great breakfast. I am glad I did my homework. Two minutes from the Tel Aviv beach promenade.

Review 50:The facilities and the room itself looked very old and beat We asked for a double bed in a double room, but instead got two single beds Pretty far from the bus or railway station

Review 51:Location is fine if you're staying in Tel Aviv (not just spending the night between the flight and going elsewhere in Israel) Breakfast was good Lady at the reception helped us resolve an issue with the taxi driver

Review 52:We stayed for Shabbat. A big groop stayed for bar mitzvah and the hotelsuited themselves for the groop neglecting the rest of the guests forinstance breakfast was limited till 9 am.

Review 53:The hotel is suitable for religious people located close to majorsynagogues

Review 54:There was a problem with the Wifi network. Available only in lobby area. Hope they are going to fix it soon so that the rooms are also covered.

Review 55:Again, back to Deborah. Easy to get there from train station. Good located close to the shopping area and to restaurants, coffees and to the Gordon beach. Very nice and friendly staff. The breakfast contains vegetables, bread, salat and some sweets too, so I am sure you will find what you like. The room had enough space with all the necessary equipment you need. They clean it every day. This time I was on the 11th floor, without noise problems, so I could sleep well. I left for the airport during the night and they were so kind to prepare me some breakfast. This was more than nice.

Review 56:run down, room fridge and internet didn't work ask numerous times about the room fridge but it never was fixed, bathroom was mouldy, mirrors broken, wardrobe rotted away

Review 57:Ignore bad comments about condition. The hotel is old and not in as good condition compared to US standards. It is, however, typical of most Tel-Aviv 3-star hotels and many European 3-star hotels. Internet appears to be a major issue. First night, no internet in the entire building, but in lobby. Second night no internet anywhere except for a pay-for-time kiosk in the lobby, which I had to use.

Review 58:They have very low pre-paid rates. They are on Ben Yehuda, which is a main street, good neighborhood and only 2-3 blocks from the beach. Great value for the location, just poor internet.

Review 59:Because of the thin glasses and the busy Ben Yehuda street the room even on the 6th floor was too noisy. The water pressure in the shower for hot water was low.

Review 60:This was not my first time in the hotel. Easy to set there from the train station. Very good located in the center. Close to the shopping area and to restaurants, coffees and to the Gordon beach of course Very nice and friendly staff. The breakfast contains vegetables, bread, salat and some sweets too, so I am sure you will find what you like. The room has enough space with all the necessary equipment you need. They clean the rooms every day.

Review 61:Very noisy hotel rooms even on 9th floor I was. Poor isolation from the windows. Small bed for a superior double I had invited. never changed the bed sheets all the 5 days I was there and room was dusty.

Review 62:Toilet was not woring in the room and the maintenance was about 3 days. Bit dirty.

Review 63:Receptcion was very helpful and friendly. Close to the beach. In terms of israel prices this hotel is relatively cheap. Great breakfast but no meat at all. Nice view from the room.

Review 64:price might seem a bit expensive sometime depending on the season

Review 65:The Staff was very nice, great location 1 min from the sea in the center of TLV. Very clean rooms, and really good breakfast for hungry peoples

Review 66:The elevator is very slow.

Review 67:When we arrived they told us that they upgradedour room to room number 909. Since I read in the reviewes on Booking that there was a problem with the bed in that room, I told them that I do not want the room and they gave us room 1008 which was good, simple, clean and exactly what we wanted.

Review 68:Our room had ants and we reported to the front desk right away, and they sprayed. But it never helped and we asked several times for a different room, and on our LAST night they gave us a different one. We also asked for them to change our sheets because of the bugs and they never came.

Review 69:The rooms are not what is shown in the pictures. We selected a double-bed room through booking and when we arrived there we were given a twin-bed room. After arguing a lot we were relocated to another room. Both rooms we saw had very old (although clean) furniture and bathrooms, and the beds were not fantastic. If you are looking for a good hotel and don't mind the price, do not stay there!

Review 70:It is conveniently located near the beach and its price is not outrageous like other hotels nearby

Review 71:Old and used room dirty unfriendly reception loud no parking space forcars I had to park 3 or 4 blocks away

Review 72:Near to the beach directly in the city

Review 73:Very poor value for money. Hotel premises are very "tired"; tvwas not working and staff not bothered about it. Rude staff. Wouldrecommend other hotels in area that are better value for money.

Review 74:Good position not far from sea and shopping

Review 75:First problem: parking. No parking free place, there are other possibilities near to the hotel, but so expencive. Secondly, our television did not work well, they could repair it second day. After that, the Wifi did not work on floor 10,so we got a new room on 9th floor. In this room didn't work the air condition, so we moved again a new room...It was the last day, so we had some problems. The hotel a bit run-down.

Review 76:The breakfast was excelent. Location also well.

Review 77:Poor wi-fi connection in the room that is needed for travellers, quite an old equipment like hairdrier, only three sockets for three people (while two of sockets are busy with tv and fridge)

Review 78:The room was comfortable enough although we don't pay too much attention to details and spent little time in the room.

Review 79:The location, staff and breakfast were great. But the hotel is shabby- chipped furniture, old mattresses that were not very comfortable, worn wall to wall carpets in bedroom on which I was afraid to walk barefoot, and windows that were so filthy you could hardly see through them. The owners should really smarten up and treat their property and guests with more respect. And the wifi was impossible.

Review 80:This is an old hotel, it's being renovated. The renovated rooms aregood, the old ones are basically ok.

Review 81:Good location, very helpful staff. Pancakes for breakfast.

Review 82:Our third stay in this comfortable, conveniently situated hotel, 5 minutes walk from Tel Aviv's superb beachfront. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Excellent breakfasts.

Review 83:The woman at the desk was friendly and very helpful. She could not have been nicer. She told us where to catch the bus, and she stored our luggage for a day while we went on a tour. I have never met a nicer person at the desk of a hotel. The room was clean and perfect for us. It was a short 2 block walk to the beach. The hotel is old and not as fancy as new hotels, but the price was good, and the stay could be for one night.

Review 84:Organised for early wake up call and breakfast box due to very early morning flight and received neither.

Review 85:Value for money and good location for beach and shops

Review 86:The internet connection-WiFi-is quite poor in the room.

Review 87:Deborah hotel is close to the beach. There are many restaurants just nearby. The ladies at reception are very nice and helpful.

Review 88:The hotel is run down. The shower almost fell off and the room was very smoky.

Review 89:The staff was very accomodating. And the room was relatively cheap compared to other Tel Aviv hotels. I also liked the breakfast, especially fish, cheese and salads.

Review 90:The price for room very unreasonable. The room is unpleasant place, closet is broken, installation of the bathroom was malfanctioned, airconditioner is did not work properly- did not freeze good enough. blanket too short- especially for me- 2 meters tall, pillow like baloon , there is another things that will cause me not return to this place

Review 91:This is my second time at the Deborah Hotel. The breakfast room looksgreat. As I arrived the front desk lady said. -Hi!! I remember you fromlast year... Right after arrived the manager... Hello! I believe youwere here last year, weren't you?......... I am glad to see you back. Iwas surprise and happy with the welcome after 19 hours flying. The hotelis clean, affordable, close to the beach and has a great breakfast. Iwill be back to Tel Aviv next year and of course stay at the DeborahHotel again. Mauricio Leite

Review 92:The lobby was decent but the rooms themselves were very outdated as far as design is concerned, also the beds were not very comfortable as they were like cots but they were nonetheless fine considering how uncomfortable hostel beds are in price comparison. The location wasn't ideal as it was not on the beach but it was good if looking to be located more in the center of town/near the shopping etc.

Review 93:The hotel room was extremely clean and offered room for 3 people to spend the night which was great for those traveling with friends and looking for a cheap stay. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the price was the cheapest of any hotels I could find last minute so this was a plus for a last minute trip.

Review 94:Reception and attention were excelent. Location: very handy. We bookedfor two days and due to health problems we had to book an early flightand leave Tel Aviv the same day. We didn't get to enjoy their breakfaswhich I learnt from references is an absolute delight. Theadministration was incredible hepful and even credited the one day wedidn't stay for which was paid. I would return back to Deborah Hotel anytime I am in Tel Aviv.

Review 95:The hotel looks very dated from the outside and could do with a tidyingup. The lobby and public areas are also a little tired but arefunctional and clean. The rooms have been modernised and are of the sortof standard one would expect in a three star city hotel. Overall, verygood value for money.

Review 96:Excellent location very close to the beach and to the main shoppingstreet of Tel Aviv

Review 97:Didn't know it was a religious hotel, which wasn't a big problem, although the people there were giving you evil looks when walking aroundin shorts and singlet when they were on their way to the build-insynagogue. Food was without bread due to passover. I respect thatreligious people don't eat bread, but as a hotel you could think a bitbroader to the bigger spectrum of individuals... It wasn't advertised asa religious hotel...

Review 98:Good location, close to the beach, easy to reach.

Review 99:Hotel is somewhat old but in decent shape.

Review 100:Excellent location, everything was correct though nothing fancy, westayed for 8 nights and have no complaints.

Review 101:Excellent value for money, however not all the reception staff were helpful, the towels in the room were too small, and the shower was difficult to position.

Review 102:Old room , housekeeping changed our towels but didn't clean & organized the bed !

Review 103:Rooms are old. Bathrooms are old. They don't even give shower shampoo. Room Gives impression of being unclean. Breakfast fair

Review 104:Nothing

Review 105:Not very rich breakfast.

Review 106:Best location, very close to the Hilton beach. Extra friendly staff. Fresh and clean hotel. Much more than I excepted.

Review 107:Floors in both the main room and bathroom were not cleaned very well. Dust balls and dirt.

Review 108:wifi wasn't great.

Review 109:There's some nice cafes just up the street, a coin laundry across the street. Staff were great.

Review 110:We didn't like: breakfast, state of the bathroom, etc

Review 111:We liked the location, and friendly staff.

Review 112:The breakfast was a little poor.

Review 113:The staff at the reception. The view from the room.

Review 114:well located, clean, affordable, great breakfast, staff is very accommodating.

Review 115:Poor internet. Not available in room only lobby No Basin Plug No shaver socket in Bathroom

Review 116:Everything else!!

Review 117:location, views, service, breakfast

Review 118:Outdated, Not that clean

Review 119:Location!!! 24hr Personal, breakfast

Review 120:Décor and furnishings very shabby and in need of urgent repair and redecoration,

Review 121:Helpful staff and friendly atmosphere.

Review 122:Good, well equipped and comfortable room.
