Review 1：Bathroom was the smallest and most cramped we have ever come across - practically unusable, so it was a good thing we were staying only one night. Cleanliness was good but everything is tired and in need of updating, and the whole place had a very old-fashioned and "old folks home" feel that we did not enjoy. Would not stay here again.

Review 5：This is not a three star hotel.Rather like a boarding house.The rooms are very small. There is not enough space for luggage. The bathroom is extremely small, the shower cabin was claustrophobic.The sink is in the hallway.There is no fridge or minibar in the room. Everything is old and worn.The hotel needs a complete renovation. The hotel is located 3 kilometers from Baveno.You need to have a car. No restaurant in the hotel. The price is high for what is offered hotel I do not recommend this hotel

Review 6：The hotel is located directly on the shore of the lake.There is a small private beach with umbrellas and sunbeds. Free parking is available.

Review 8：All rooms have a good view of Lake Maggiore and the hotel has its own private lake frontage and pleasant gardens. Private parking was a bonus - many "posher" hotels in the area had no parking. Excellent value in a very expensive area.

Review 9：You really need a car to stay at this venue. Taxis are exorbitant,you can not walk along the road from Baveno. There is a bus. The stop is 800metres from the hotel, in Feriolo. There are very few buses on Sundays.

It is conviniontly located directly on the lake beach, and has free parking. The breakfest is very good. Baveno, the nearest boat station to the islands in a few kilometers from the hotel. Review 30：The owner was fantastic and extremely interested in knowing I had a nice stay. It has everything, location, location and location right on the lake with a private beach. Good secure parking just added to my stay, I am sure I will be back.

Review 31：No evening meal available. There are several restaurants in nearby Feriolo but the walk there is alongside the busy main road. The hotel is not actually in Baveno and it is not possible to walk there with no footpaths. We drove through Stresa 3 times and could not park anywhere. The hotel was having difficulties with the WiFi conections.

Review 32：The hotel is situated right on the lakeside, good views from balconies and garden. Staff were very helpful and spoke at least 4 languages easily. Very good breakfast buffet. Air conditioned rooms. Free parking. Lovely atmosphere and peaceful light seating area in the lobby.

Review 42：In case you do not have your own car, this is a little difficult. Theproperty is a few km's ahead of baveno near village feriolo andpublic transport is infrequent. Cabs charge 15 euro for a 5 minute rideinto town and since it is on an autostrada, walking is not an option.

Review 43：Cultural heritage of the hotel lends significant depth to theexperience. More so with the artist Rachelli's paintings in everyroom. The mother-daughter duo is very warm and helpful. The location ofthe hotel with its private beach and wide lakefront allows guests somegreat spaces to enjoy their stay.

Review 44：The hotel didn't serve meals in the evening. The nearest town(Feriolo) was ten minutes walk away, so it wasn't too much of aproblem. Currently (June 2013) Google maps shows the wrong location forthis hotel. It's actually 1km south of Feriolo on the lakeside.Can't really blame this on the hotel!

Review 45：Excellent location and views of the Lake from the balcony of our room. Ithink all rooms have such a view. Staff were friendly (despite myappalling lack of Italian!), helpfull and efficient. The manageressspoke excellent English. Our room was clean and comfortable andeverything was refreshed daily. The hotel had the feeling of acomfortable house. This is probably because it has been in the samefamily for a number of generations. The current manageress was born inthe hotel! The lakeside seating areas were wonderful for watching thelake and drinking a beer or two! Parking was excellent.

Cosy friendly, classy family managed hotel; excellent breakfast. Own beach was under water after very heavy recent rains--still lovely. Visit isles and spas in vicinity!

Review 50：Carillon has a great location right at Lago Maggiore, with private beach, lawn and boat moaring. They provide a delicious breakfast each morning, and dimmer upon request. A great value for a relaxed stay close to all facilities in the neighbouring towns (Feriolo, Baveno and a bit further also Stresa). Daniela and family make you feel at home immediately. Our place to go in Italy!
