Reviews for The Seasons on the Sea
Review 1:When we arrived the hotel staff were only there to help us in every way! We got an amazing upgrade, the rooms and sea view with a balcony overlooking the sea are stunning!! Breakfast was A**!! I would highly recomend the hotel to anyone
Review 2:Rooms are a bit old.. The window was not working (no way to close it)
Review 3:Good staff +++ : Clean, location, breakfast. A good choice and I'll surely come again during my next trip in this area.
Review 4:this hotel is very faded. the apartment was in okay condition but definitely needs an upgrade, torn carpet, marks on the wall. the bathrooms could have been cleaner - grime around the tub, shower etc. one of the toilets broke whilst we there. whilst there was much choice at the breakfast buffet, the quality and standard was not very high, the dining room looked very old and kind of falling apart.
Review 5:the size of the suite apartment and the views. free parking and the staff was very nice.
Review 6:Location is fabulous, beautiful ocean view yet quiet residential area. Very family friendly, yet clean and organized even during a school vacation week. Staff is extremely considerate and responsive. We hope to return!
Review 7:Clearly not a 5* place anymore. Badly needs overall refurbishment. Complimentary tea time is very poor.
Review 8:The hotel's location right by the beach. Front office is helpful.
Review 9:1. playground very dirty and unkempt. terrace usually only partially cleaned for breakfast 2. responsiveness of some staff (ordered dinner/room service first night, but it never came despite reminder and walking up to concierge).
Review 10:location, size/layout of room (44m2), breakfast were all good.
Review 11:Total facility needs updating. We had a large suite, but everything was outdated. Torn carpeting, missing a washer on the faucet, unwelcoming staff, no available adapters, dining room lacking servers.
Review 12:Location, easy walk into town, on the beach.
Review 13:Parts of the hotel are looking a bit old, and could do with redecorating. Car park is a little small. All in all good value for money though!!
Review 14:Large room on the upper floor with a great sea view (to the side). Good sized pool and plenty of sunbeds. Pleasant staff, enquired as to whether everything was OK. Nice to receive a bottle of water, chocolates and fruit in the room!
Review 15:NO STAFF AT THE POOL FOR REFRESHMENTS ETC. UNCOMFORTABLE EATING IN LOUNGE AREA AND DIFFICULTY IN FINDING STAFF FOR DRINKS ETC
Review 16:APPARTMENT CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE
Review 17:1) The hotel is on a cliff with quite a long way to the beach. I went with my 82 year old mother who adored the hotel & its the views, the promenade and enjoyed the pool but could not get to the seashore. 2) Some of the stuff at the dinning room extremely helpful, others - should not work in human service jobs. 3) Most hotel areas very clean, some public areas need closer attention. (held in a private letter to hotel's CEO )
Review 18:Luxurious hotel; lovely lobby, beautiful views from the rooms and the balcony; specious very well equipped and maintained rooms, comfortable beds with good linen. large variety of tasty, nicely set breakfast. Quite big, clean swimming pool. Helpful staff at reception and a caring . attendant (Yael) at the dining room and lobby. A beautiful promenade just beneath the hotel. Nice selection of good restaurants and cafes nearby. A dining area in the room, plus a refrigerator and kettle in the room and a mini-market nearby enables affordable dining in your room / balcony.
Review 19:Not sufficient parking for such a large facility. Air conditioning in bedroom was not adequate With such a large religious clientele weekday services should be arranged
Review 20:The staff especially Zeva, manager , Michel maître de and Sasson front doorman
Review 21:ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!
Review 22:The serenity of the location on the beach. Stress free zone. Lovely receptionists! The kindest and most welcoming reception team that sustained their absolute dedication to our requests and needs for the three days we stayed at The Seasons.
Review 23:The loud music blasting from the pool at mid day. Each day, they have activities at the pool around mid day, but for some god-forsaken reason, then insist on accompanying it with music so loud that it disrupts the entire hotel for nearly two hours. It made it very hard for me to put my children to rest mid day (and I was on the 10th floor. I couldn't imagine how terrible it was for people on lower floors.) My wife was at the spa one day and as soon as the music started the workers immediately apologized because the know how terrible it was. The pool area is relatively small, so I don't know why they couldn't have music at a normal volume. Also, no ramp at the entrance which is a pain for people who are coming in with strollers and wheelchairs. Finally, the railing on the porch is pretty short and had a 1-8 inch gap on the bottom, which means that I couldn't allow my children to use it at all.
Review 24:Easily the nicest hotel I ever stayed at in Netanya. Room was very clean. Great location, close but not too close to the city square (which has huge screens, sprinkler fountain for kids to play in and restaurants). Nice pool and surrounding area. Great facilities. Staff is very helpful (for example, I have small children who sleep mid day and asked the hotel to fix up the room earlier, which they did with no problem). Breakfast was great.
Review 25:No direct access to the see. No private beach. The poolbar is poor and not worthy to a 5star hotel. The bathroom must be renovated in the siute.
Review 26:We got a nice upgrade to a suite. The reception clerks are very friendly and the breakfast is great
Review 27:Inconsistent quality of service staff in restaurant, one team up to date , friendly and professional, the other seemingly not at their place , unhappy to be there and having just started career in hospitality...
Review 28:The friendly reception staff, calling an hour after arrival to check if all was OK. Very large and comfortable rooms, the pool area, location near to beach and restaurants. Professional and helpful attitude of customer relationship manager
Review 29:Getting from the car park into the hotel was a pain via unclear path around hotel. Getting to car easier via door. Unclear if / where route to beach. Urinal overflowing in pool area toilet.
Review 30:The hotel is well maintained, staff pleasant and attentive. Chocolates and water awaited us. We were automatically upgraded either because they had no more rooms or because of potential booking.com review! There was always an elevator ready on the ground floor. Free underground parking.
Review 31:We liked our room and the view very much. The front desk manager, Zeva Machiach was extremely nice and very helpful during our stay. We would definitely return to this hotel in the future.
Review 32:Some of the double glazed windows were misted up; swimming pool on restricted hours (out of main season) due to lack of a life guard
Review 33:Location, private car park (parking elsewhere in Netanya is a nightmare), wonderful views, swimming pool, we were given a free room upgrade on arrival without needing to ask.
Review 34:Nothing
Review 35:From the moment we arrived the hospitality and service was exceptional. Upgraded room, chocolates & fruit waiting in room, lovely comfortable facilities, beautiful delicious free breakfast with a sea view!
Review 36:…...facilities and service are very poor and not a pleasant or relaxing experience: Breakfast was just horrible - lots of choice but poor quality (e.g. much of the fruit was tinned) and too many items of crockery were dirty; coffee machine (help yourself only and no waitress service) would not pass UK standards of basic hygiene and cleanliness Staff - also poor: many appear to lack training; they just seem disinterested in the guests. Only the receptionist came up to expected standards; she at least was helpful and pleasant. Bathroom accoutrements - all very basic: e.g. paper slippers - better not to bother, we thought; towels are tiny. There is a so-called bar area in the public lounge, but when we wanted a pre - dinner drink, there was no drinks menu or bar staff and it transpired there was next to nothing available.
Review 37:Superficially and externally looks like a decent hotel (it was after all once a Four Seasons) in a good location, but…..
Review 38:A Queen size bed would have been preferable to the double we had.
Review 39:Spacious and clean room, helpful staff and good view of the beach. The breakfast was great.
Review 40:Although we felt the food was only average for an Israeli hotel of this standard, any comments were welcomed, listened to and immediately acted upon. To be fair, though, it was just before Passover which made catering much more difficult than usual.
Review 41:Zeva, the Reception Manager, upgraded us to a beautiful suite on arrival and made us very welcome from the moment we stepped into the hotel. She continued to check with us throughout our stay that everything was satisfactory.
Review 42:I have stayed there several times. I dont enjoy leaving.
Review 43:The Seasons always provides 5 star service with a gracious staff eager to serve your every need.
Review 44:Clean, very good location, free parking and wifi, great views, okay buffet, nearby market and restaurants, staff was helpful. The hotel could use some upgrades for sure but for Israel the parking and wifi alone made it a value.
Review 45:My room had a storage room in it. I peeked in and it was a kitchenette (sp) which stored cots and cribs in it.
Review 46:Great location and the rooms are large. Some of the staff are nice. The breakfast varied and sometimes was good and sometimes a bit sparse.
Review 47:As a Spring stay the pool was out of use, but to be expected and has to be maintained at some during the year! Quite busy at the week end, and would appreciate other guests controlling their children - why allow them to run and shout in public areas
Review 48:The check in staff were very helpful and Essie a great credit to the hotel.
Review 49:The couches in the room are very deep and could do with little cushions to support the back.
Review 50:I received a very warm welcome with fruit plate bottled water chocolates and a bathing robe and nice welcome letter from manager!
Review 51:No indoor pool and with hurricane weather in February we couldn't use the outdoor pool. As I hear none of the other hotels have indoor pools.
Review 52:Location location location!!! This is the best spot with fabulous views. We were on the ninth floor, very spacious studio flat! Breakfast was unreal anything you wished for was there. Even if we came down at 10am they would still serve us on and on. A special thanks for receptionist Christina for taking good care of us. Checking out is at 11am. Since we had an evening flight she let us stay in our room for much longer without charging extra.
Review 53:A large group of seniors arrived and it looked like the staff were under a bit of pressure.
Review 54:I had heard that the hotel had a reputation of being old fashioned and "past it". While the decor reminded me of Bournemouth in the 1970s this was more than made up by the friendly reception staff, and the free upgrade to an enormous suite with seaview was a huge bonus.
Review 55:We took a junior suite on the 15th floor; it was quite expensive but very luxurious. Stunning views over the town & the sea. Lovely bathroom, plenty of storage, very comfortable beds. The staff were all immaculate and couldn't have been more friendly. Breakfast was served in a spotless dining-room and was amazing, even by generous Israeli standards. A wonderful hotel & highly recommended.
Review 56:The last day they turned off the coffee machine and only gave instant coffee and served a condensed breakfast. I guess it is easy to become spoiled
Review 57:The breakfast was great. I really liked the cappuccino machine and the view of the sea
Review 58:The room was very clean, tidy and spacious. There was a wonderful view of the long sandy beach. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was really rich and enjoyable.we definitely would like to stay at this hotel again. Thanks, Shira and Naor :)
Review 59:nothing was too much trouble for the staff, particularly Essie at reception. large excellent size room. Even though a older hotel I was extremely comfortable in my upgraded room.
Review 60:For the level of this hotel's rating it seems a little rundown, maintenance not up to par at some places: elevators have bare areas where suitcases chipped off the dark wood; wallpaper in room could use a fresh coating; it took a lot of "acrobatics" to get the WiFi working, would have expected a bit better quality and comfort of furniture on balcony; dining room personnel seemed at times rather unfriendly (on & off) and seemed flustered at the more busy times.
Review 61:The more than ample space we had in the suite: the 2 large separate rooms, lots of closet and drawer space, great variety of breakfast food (although not always fresh), wonderful view over the sea from the room balcony as well as dining room. Very friendly maid service personnel. Superb location.
Review 62:Lots and lots of steps to walk down to get to the beach.
Review 63:Large comfortable room with great view of the sea. Big enough for 4 people not to tread on each other's toes! Breakfast was plentiful, lots of salad, cereal and fruit etc. Management was helpful and we were offered an upgrade. Would definitely stay again.
Review 64:The pool bar was never open and on 3 attempts to get a drink at the lobby bar there was no barman at the bar. So we never got a drink in the hotel. We only had an evening meal once and my wife and I agreed that it was the worst meal we have had in our 7 visits to Israel.
Review 65:The junior suite was spacious.
Review 66:The only advice I would give the hotel is maybe getting some better pillows.
Review 67:The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and so easy to deal with. Everyone from the Manager (Naor Chen) to the Reception staff (Eti and Avi) and even the wait staff in the dining room who would run around and get you whatever you needed. They even upgraded our room to a suite for our Anniversary, especially after I mentioned we booked through Booking.com, and then they even gave us a 2pm late checkout which allowed us almost a whole extra day. The rooms were clean and neat. The pool water was so clear you could see the tiles on the floor, the pool area was neat and clean. You get free chairs at the beach in front of the hotel, and 50% off any other items you want to rent on the beach (we got two deck chairs and a Sun Umbrella for 25 Shekel). The housekeeping staff were really nice and friendly. There was no noise in the morning, or banging on our doors, as we found in some hotels who want to clean the rooms. They just waited until we left and then they did what they needed to do and they did it really well, cleaning everything up without being intrusive. The location is great, it is only a five minute walk from the main town square. Overall, we had an amazing time, we will definitely be going back there.
Review 68:The hotel has not been meaningfully updated since the 70's Staff English is poor and interest in customers lukewarm WiFi is awful Breakfast was mediocre Not really the hotel's fault, but surrounding area is not very nice
Review 69:It is on the beach, even though access is not immediate, so on my second morning I actually skipped breakfast (not much of a loss) and went for a jog on the beach
Review 70:The disinterested attitude of the staff, breakfast was poor and on one day there was no bread mor cheese! The Pool area was awful sun bed covers filthy
Review 71:The lady who cleaned our room was cheery and very efficient
Review 72:The doormen could be a bit more helpful in suggesting places to goaround town, and being more proficient in English so that they are seenas part of the customer service/hospitality team. Gym seemed to beunderused and not kept up very well or cleaned often.
Review 73:Zeva Mashiach was professional and completely helpful in helping me andmy friend find the best car rental rate, taking her time to callseveral companies and gathering the necessary information for us. Thedining hostesses, especially Keren, were always pleasant and friendly. The lobby was always very clean, smelled fresh and was a calm place towait for my daily rides into town. The housekeeping manager was alwaysconnected with her staff, and worked alongside them at times. Staff wasresponsive with my requests. Location of the hotel was a comfortabledistance from the noise and traffic of the town, yet a pleasant walk tothe square, and very conveniently (less than a 1 minute walk) near astrip shopping with restaurants, a salon, boutique clothing stores, amarket to purchase groceries, toiletries, wine, snacks, etc.,. Next toan art gallery where they have free concerts (opera, classical). Townsquare has an amphitheater beachside, elevator for quick access tobeach, and lots of shops & restaurants. Promenade, which runsparallel to the beach, has playgrounds for children, grassy areas withbenches, a wide sidewalk for runners, walkers, strollers, skateboarders, etc. An ideal place to vacation short term and long term(some rooms are spacious oceanfront suites with a separatedining/living area and balcony).
Review 74:Friendly staff. Very nice loacation.
Review 75:Breakfast very disorganised
Review 76:In need of renovation
Review 77:Very friendly and approachable staff. Big rooms with great views. Best location in Netanya. 5 star breakfast.

Review 94:No one ever at the bar and miserable staff
Review 95:Very windy weather
Review 96:Great stay, treated like royalty, staff went out of their way to make us feel even more comfortable.
Review 97:Everything
Review 98:Sound of running water from overhead pipes in room all night.
Review 99:Location and comfort

Review 101:Location was fantastic Gorgeous views Good service helpful staff
Review 102:Great food, nice staff, comfortable room in a fantastic location - what more do you want from a hotel??
Review 103:Very noisy plumbing, tired rooms in need of refurbishment
Review 104:Location,breakfast,Reception staff
Review 105:nothing
Review 106:The staff especially Essie went out their way for us. Very clean -- even the balcony was exceptionaly clean.
Review 107:Breakfast, rude/uninterested service, messy chack-out
Review 108:Location, view, room quality, free parking, wifi
Review 109:Need to re-finish and re-paint
Review 110:WiFi was intermittent in the room.
Review 111:Very Helpful manageress. Room was excellent.
Review 112:Slight confusion on checking in
Review 113:Helpful Management Room cleaning Sea view balcony Comfort and size of room Plentiful food Business centre
Review 114:1. good service as i said. 2. very clean. 3. the facilities are highly maintain 4. the food is very good
Review 115:The quick response of staff to a problem we had, very reassuring. The breakfast. The elegant lobby.
Review 116:Poor command of English.
Review 117:Rooms were comfortable
Review 118:This is a classic hotel, and decorated accordingly – so if you're looking for a cutting-edge, modern hotel, this is not the place for you. Hotel is in need of some renovations. For example, the water pressure in the Jacuzzi was insufficient for use, there was a lot a noise from one of the toilets in the suite, and more attention should be paid to cleanliness in some places.
Review 119:Received an upgrade to a suite on the 15th floor - they said they gave us this upgrade because we booked through booking.com. Magnificent suite – very large and spacious, offering views of the coastline to the north and south. Prominent position of the hotel high above the cliffs of the beach + walking distance to the city square, where all the action in the town seems to take place. Breakfast offered a good selection of foods. Staff were helpful with every request we had. Luxurious and thoroughly enjoyable break.
Review 120:все было замечательно. место, еда. очень вежливый персонал. Особенно Кристина, всегда готова была прийти на помощь. мы провели замечательный отпуск. Everything was fine – the place, food, staff. Especially we liked at Kristina on the reception – always smiling, ready to help. We spent 4 wonderful days. After check out we had opportunity to use all facilities during all the day.
Review 121:General condition of facilities (carpets, furniture, bathroom) seemed a little outdated and worn. One evening late in the trip, there was an A/C condenser leak and no one was available to fix it, so I had to switch rooms... I was first sent to an occupied room, then to a room that hadn't been cleaned, and finally (third time's the charm) to clean, unoccupied room. This frustrating process took over an hour and six trips to and from the front desk at 11p.
Review 122:Nice, clean facilities; great location (short walk to beach and Netanya city center); the south-facing view from a 16th floor balcony was second-to-none.
