Review 1：Really wonderful young couple run the hotel-- it is a great value for the money. The rooms are basic but very clean and the breakfast is better than hotels that are twice as expensive. It's location is a short walk from the ferries. And parking is free.

Review 2：The days were cold and the heating system did not work (May). The maintenance on some of the items in the room gave a very poor appearence such as the shower curtain that was falling appart. The hotel policy is not to change the towels after the 3rd day (which we were fine with), unfortunately when they clean the room they fold the used and wet towels causing bad smell and them not being dried out for next day.

Review 27：The walls are thin, almost everything can be heard from the corridor, and if the guests next door leave early in the morning, it can be annoying. At night I could hear a snoring, which turned out to originate from my lower neighbour. The EPB solution is quite clumsy, since it's on a different floor, so be prepared. Your first showering will be frustrating, you have to figure out the small tricks to make it work (bring a plastic bag for your clothes, go without shoes, glasses, and phone). Also, the tap is broken, you can easily get hot or cold water, and if you're patient enough, you can find the tap position to get something in between. Note that if you come without a car, Baveno may not be the best place to stay. Not all trains stop here, the boat is a bit expensive for transportation, and even the bus timetable gets more sparse in the low season. If you want to visit more distant places (Domodossola, Locarno), leaving early is not easy, and returning late is impossible (unless you're ready to pay 35 EUR for a taxi ride from Pallanza). Of course, with a car or a more relaxed schedule, these can be avoided.

Review 28：The two staff members I've met were friendly, helpful, and spoke rather good English. The hotel is between the railway station and the port, three minutes from each, you can't get lost (but the map here is wrong, the hotel is on the southern side of Via Monte Grappa, but the street signs make it clear). Although the railway and a bell tower is near, neither was disturbing. Breakfast is quite OK for 5 EUR. The room was clean, only the wall color was slightly odd at first. The room with the External Private Bathroom is very budget friendly, and you still have a small basin with a tap in the room.

Review 29：Walls are very thin, a lot of noise comes from other rooms (people and piping). The bathroom wasn't very clean, and had a lousy shower curtain. Parking is tight. Wifi available only in the reception area.

Review 34：Blocked sink and shower tray.Mixer tab was multifunctional, it was either hot or cold. The system with the car park where there were too many cars in a confined place and You have to leave Your car key with the the hotel reception so that they can move back and forth Your car. Someone hit my car during the process. The lady in the reception was good, but there was another guy who was sloppy. The room with the external bathroom, the bathroom was not in the same floor. The outdoor seating area seems to be the permanent place for the hotel cat and on a whole looked rather unhygienic.

Review 36：Very hospitable staff who spoke good English, had a strong sense ofhumour and were polite enough to tolerate my Italian. The room wasspacious for three people with a lovely bathroom, balcony with mountainand lake views. The hotel was very central, close to the station butquiet. The room was immaculate and the beds large and comfortable. Anideal hotel for a short stay which we were using for a transit stop. Thebreakfast was exceptional value, German style, with meats, chees andyohurt as well as pastries and coffee and fruit juice. The details ofthe hotel are very accurate. For an expensive north Italian holidaydestination the hotel was very good value.

Review 37：I made a mistake. I took a room with private bathroom outside of theroom. So the bathroom was 1 floor under the sleeping room. It wasn`talso 1 bathromm, but 1 very small showerroom and separately another roomwith washing basin and toilet. The showerroom gets very fast humid andthere was no chair or something where I could put my clothes. So thiswas very uncomfortabely. So next time I would take a room with bathroomeven if it is more expensive. Another thing that has nothing to do withthe hotel, but with the city Baveno: If with you are there with car itis fine, but with train you have to count that the train station is lowfrequented (every 2 houres a train and between 10 o'clock and 14 o'clockno train).

Review 38：At the hotel I got a lot of informations what I can do/visit, so that Ididn't need any tourist information. This was a great help for my staythere. The attentin was very kind, so that you feel very good. I takebreakfast and I can recommend it to everybody. When I enter to thebreakfastroom the tabe was prepared and a tabel was reserved for me winda flag and on it my name. All well decored. So this was a great pleasurefor me at the morning.

Review 39：I was afraid about some comment speaking about the train, but it is notvery close, and the noise is soft. The wifi is not working very wellfrom the bedrooms.

Review 40：Very warm welcome, this sober place is very clean and well place in themiddle of Baveno. I definitely recommend this place.

Review 41：If anything, the only comment we would have is that with the temperatures in the high 30degrees C there was no air conditioner and the fan was put away in the bottom of the cupboard and we did not discover it until the second night.

Review 42：Despite us arriving after 8pm the staff were friendly and helpful and got us quickly settled in. We were even able to order and enjoy supper at 9pm in the hotel. The breakfasts were good and plentiful. For a group of four travelling on a budget the hotel was perfect. Thank you.

Review 43：The hotel is very old. The bed was not comfortable. The room was not clean. The design was poor. Some valves were not functioning. Parking was too small and not easy. Breakfast was minimal and the coffee was bed. The only place in Italy that coffee/chocolata was bed.
