Review 1：Nothing to dislike even if it had one more star

Review 2：This is a cracking small family run three star hotel with really nice rooms that warrant a further star and a truely fabulous position and views. Recommended by a local I know and when I asked the taxi to take me to it he was effusive in his praise of it. Outstanding value

Review 3：There was no vibe at the hotel. The bar was closed. You couldn't order a mid afternoon snack & we were Mike's away from any other shops or restaurants. It's sad we couldn't enjoy the view more with a drink or snack at our own hotel. Granted, it was winter & very quiet but I think for the guests sake, one can still keep the hotel facilities open.

Review 5：With no screens on the windows, there were flying beetles visiting every day when cleaning staff left windows open to air the room. Love the fresh air but get some screens. Bugs were not a big deal but had to be ezcorted out each day.

Review 10：Hotel location, in particular the view from the restaurant is spectacular. The food in the restaurant is also very good.

Review 11：The hotel was modernised about 10 years ago and very good job was done. However, the "hot" water was never more than tepid, no good for shaving or bathing. Our complaints were met with indifference and the startling claim that water was already 60 degrees! It wasn't. It was about 30 degrees. There were other problems with the room such as a non-working security lock on the door, a room safe that was not bolted down, so could be simply lifted and taken away, a leaking shower, an uncomfortable sofa, etc, etc. These problems could be easily fixed with a little money and a much better attitude.

Review 12：We had room 5, which is a "suite", i.e. four rooms comprising bedroom, bathroom, dressing room and lounge. It has magnificent views over Lake Maggiore and a balcony where we could sit, drink wine and relax.

Review 13：The staff was not too accommodating, woman checking us in spoke no English. The reception was located in the bar. They did not have a computer and printer available for guests, we needed to print some documents.I will probably stay in Arona center, or Stresa next time.

Review 15：Beds are quite hard. The showers of the two rooms we stayed in were low quality (cheap perspex doors) and small (80cmx80cm) in bathrooms that were otherwise large and pleasant. As usual in Italy, apart from the ham, cheese and mediocre bread, breakfast consists of loads of cakes, croissants and biscuits that as too sweet for anyone who isn't Italian! Mosquitoes. If you're anywhere near the Italian lakes in summer, make sure you have plenty of strong mosquito repellent with you!!

Review 16：Up the hill from Arona with spectacular view of Lago Maggiore from the very good restaurant and lake-view rooms. It doesn't really matter if you can't get a lake-view room, though. There's a small balcony on the 2nd floor and you'll be sitting in the restaurant for breakfast. Friendly staff. Quality of the ham at breakfast.

The magnificent views from our room were stunning. We benefitted from going out of season and would hesitate before sharing it with many others.

Review 25：The rooms on the other hand could use some care - when we arrived, the sheet was dirty and the bext day I had to remind to bring us toilet paper (very awkward). The shower is rather old and haven't had proper maintenance probably for years - it decides on its own when to sprinkle water from which shower head. The handle of the water tap may stay in your hand if you try to ise it. Too few shelves in bathroom could also probably be fixed. And seriously, what's the problem with duvet covers? Why use separate sheets and blankets?

The hotel was up a steep hill away from the town centre, so you needed a car, which fortunately I had, though was not intending to hire a car when I booked the room. The hotel looked closer to the centre on the map.

Review 41：Hotel had great location overlooking the lake. Breakfast was very good and was taken on the outside terrace overlooking the lake. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Park with huge bronze statue very close and open to visitors.

Review 42：On booking.com we had to book 2 rooms for 3 people but on arrival we realized the bigger room was already prepared for 3 people. But the price is calculated per person not by the size of the room so you gain nothing if you book only 1 big room for 3 person (if you can).

Review 99：The hotel was great and romantic, but one minue in all Italian hotels was the fact that in certain months after summer for say from september when we were there, even thogh the weather is still fairly hot (more than 24 C) the aircondition does not work in rooms, and their are no nets to open windows making sleeping really annoying to sounds of bugs and mosquito bites. The breakfast could be upgraded, was simple and lacked eggs.

There was a good range available for breakfast and the dinner menu offered local cuisine, rabbit pie, fish from the lake etc. All with that amazing view.

All meals were superband car parking was available on-site. We enjoyed our three nights inthis wonderful hotel and felt safe and contented in the lee ofEurope's tallest statue, San Carlo.
