Review 1：Hard to drive to the parking lot and out of it because of a wall on each side - you can't see if the main road is free or there is a car coming.

Review 3：Loved every minute, would highly recommend for staff, location, comfort of beds, cleanliness and has a very very good restaurant just a few doors away. Also close to the waterfront and ferry terminal.

Review 6：An unpretentious little hotel but right to the point! All you need it has - perfect location, free parking, clean rooms and a reasonable breakfast. A perfect spot for a traveller.

Review 7：Shower horrendous, could hardly turn around, and we're slight build people. Couldn't bend over to pick up soap etc from floor. No shelf in shower. Not enough staff if you want a drink from bar.

Whilst the web site confirmed the hotel had a restaurant, we found the new owners had closed it. Very disappointing, however, there are excellent other restaurants in the town. We just wished we had, had prior warning.

Review 11：We stayed with my daughter ,husband and three children in adjoining rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable with great bathrooms and balconies. Friendly helpful staff.

Review 12：We travelled for a wedding and had 2 rooms one in the new wing and one in the old.The Old room could have done with a full length mirror and the new room had a shower attachment over bath, but no shower facility so between the two rooms we had everything we needed .Shame the pretty cellar restaurant had closed but there was no shortage of eateries located close by.

I am not sure if all the rooms are the same as there seems to be an older building and newer annex , but my room was great. There is also free wifi and AC. Overall I had a very pleasent stay there.

Review 19：Fantastic Staff. They actually allowed us to plug a laptop into the monitor in the main reception to watch the Australian State of Origin Football match! We had 20 watching!

Review 20：On site parking. Cheerful staff. Multilingual. Singing waitress (gratis) and Lake Como 3 to 4 mins away on foot. Spacious rooms and beds. New rooms are stunning.

Review 21：We were relegated to a room via a building site - grit/dust everywhere, we could feel the grit crunching underfoot as we were escorted through construction works, stepping on packaging along the way. Our outlook was a builder's yard at rear of hotel. Rather than get unpacked & showered, we went off in the pouring rain to look for alternative accommodation. When we returned to 'uncheck' out [we did not check in, in the first place due to the rainstorm], we were told our 100% deposit would be forfeited. Booking.com should have a condition to relieve customers of this obligation as our room was clearly not as described. Lo & behold, they had a spare room facing the front of the hotel after all! Disgusted with the way we were treated when there was no need for it as they could have easily just let us have the vacant front room when we first arrived. Rather spoilt what would have been a perfect stay at lake Como.

Review 25：After a successful night using the air conditioning (AC) they told us we had to stop using it because it was too cool outside and the air conditioner would act like a heater. They even restricted access. We did not sleep as well because it was too warm and our room faced the street which was loud....

Review 27：Booked a quad but one bed was a flimsy fold up bed, very thin mattress and two slats fell out in the night, waking us. It was not suitable for my teenage son. Would be acceptable if we had booked 'an extra bed' but not when a four bed room is booked, this should mean four proper beds.

Review 34：We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Our rooms were ready early. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the neighborhood and restaurants around the hotel. We were 2 stops from Lake Como via water taxi, and 2 hours from Belliago (leaving directly from our stop). We took a fast boat back from Belliago to Lake Como then the boat back to our stop. That took around an hour. Loved our stay in Como!

Review 76：The room for two would be very small, even for one it is cramped. There are no English tv channels available. The dining room, for dinner, is underground. Not enjoying enclosed spaces I ate elsewhere.

The room and bathroom are very clean and the bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast was great with a variety of food. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Pizzeria is very good. There is private parking space available.

Review 86：In general the hotel does not live up to its promotion material, nor theway it's presented on its webpage. - The reception area is somewhatshabby, and the corridors certainbly are. - We booked a standard roomfacing the back. The room was very small, but clean, incl. The bathroom.- The area at the back of the hotel is no pretty sight with a parkingplace, poorly maintained buildings and a stack of plastic bagspresumably containing used linen put on a terrasse just 20 yards away. -The restaurant is depressing. We only had breakfast there which wasacceptable. My conclusion: Don't stay at this hotel. Hotel Regina Olgaacross the street seemed much, much nicer with a location facing thepromonade at the lake.

Review 88：They asked for my passport on arrival to keep overnight. Then they lostmy passport. When I asked for it at the front desk the next day, theyinsisted that I already collected it. This resulted in some argument. Iwas told that I am in "some confusion" and that I must search for mypassport in my room. To make a long story short, they eventually didfind it and returned it to my room with some apology.

Review 93：Probably the poorest service we have ever received with us being askedto wait 30minutes to have a drink at 7pm because the entire staff wastaking its break at the same time and nobody felt like taking care ofcustomers before themselves.Staff rudeness continued when we were told to seat at a table for dinner in the back ofthe terrace despite asking for one at the front (near the TV as a few friends wanted to watch a football match on show that evening) and seeing one free in front that the staff refused to give us and refused to give any reason for refusing us to seat there (the table was not reserved). Will never return and would suggest people to avoid this hotel if they want to receive any basic service.
