Review 1：There was nothing to do in the location of Amantea. We originally booked this hotel as we were going to drive and it was half way between sicily and sorrento. However when we arrived by train we realised there was nothing to do there. We only stayed one night and left early (after using the great pool in the morning). There was also an issue in that we had been staying in apartments and you could not even make a cup of tea in the room. Evidently this is normal in italian hotels? Finally the room was very noisy as there was air conditioning units just below us (we sleep with our window open). This hotel is ok if you want to use the spa or as a stop of point but we are very glad we left early and went to Sorrento where there was lots to do.

Review 2：The hotel was good with a great swimming pool but it was not for us. We did not use the spa but the facilities looked good. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Review 3：Walk along the main road to the town necessitated using the car. Seemed out of season practically everywhere (mid-september!) but treated like royalty in the hotel itself. Lots of rubbish strewn around, as we were pre-warned.

Review 5：I did not like that they presented the parking free..but we payed 10 Eur/day...free is on the street. Also we could not use the swimming pool because it was closed, but for other 10 Eur/person we could use...The breakfast was poor choice for such a hotel.

Review 6：I liked the hotel looks elegant, clean, the receptionistes speak english and offer you informations.The beach is not far and sandy. Wifi was good.

Review 7：There was no regular shuttle service into town (which the website indicates there is) so we had to walk (there are NO taxis in Amantea at all). You need to note that a car is needed if outside of July and August as it is not particularly safe to walk the main road. Perhaps the hotel could be encouraged to get a supply of bikes for guests to use (we saw other hotels doing this) or run a regular shuttle service when they have guests staying. We were given very mixed responses to our requests to use the shuttle but eventually the hotel agreed to let use this service during the day and early evening but this was restrictive and meant walking back each night.The reception staff at the hotel were really young and very helpful but their local knowledge was poor; we asked simple questions like where to eat, how to get around, what other places nearby to visit, how to book a train etc... and they really struggled. They did not even have a map of the area to give us. Why not employ a concierge?There was an amazing spa there but not one member of staff showed us where it was, what facilities it had or encouraged us to use it. Likewise for the tennis courts and the indoor pool (I still don't know where it was located!). The continental breakfast was poor and the staff serving were uninterested. The supplies regularly ran down and were not replenished unless asked to by guests. They were so keen to reset tables for lunch/dinner that some mornings there were no tables to sit at. The choice of food was cake/sweet things and a bit of cheese or ham and the coffee was so bad, we ended up taking our own in. No fresh bread or rolls or eggs or anything other than croissants and cake. Not good if you want to eat something healthy.There were a few weddings and the whole hotel was taken over.

Review 8：We loved the staff We liked the facilities We did not like the first room we were shown to but the staff were great and moved us very quickly with no extra charge. The room we changed to was great located in the newer part of the hotel and it was nice and modern and very clean. We loved the bar and one of the bar staff Gina who was our saviour in terms of local advice. The airport pick up service was excellent and good value for money.
