Review 18：The mattress was a little uncomfortable. Also, some photos of theinterior rooms showed bare floors while our room had carpeting(in theheat of Amantea, would have preferred bare floors). Still not enough tonot keep me from staying here again.

Review 19：I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities the hotel had but mostimportantly was thoroughly impressed with the service we received fromall including the social directors on the beach who encouraged all youngchildren to participate in the activities. Was also surprised at thenumber of planned activites for both children and adults--was very resort-like and quite festive on the private beach.The menu too offered more than expected. The dishes were creatively prepared and elegantly served but tasted like they were made in my own Calabrian's mother kitchen. (This was a bonus!) Hope to make my next visit next summer 2013.

Review 20：We stayed here for 10 days in June. As we were on the half-board option we were able to arrange free transfers with the hotel from Lamezia airport, which is less than 30 minutes away by car. The hotel is set on a quiet stretch of road, facing the sea, about 2 miles south of Amantea. Our room was a good size, with a balcony facing the sea. The bathroom was also spacious with an excellent shower. They were always kept very clean. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas on the hotel's stretch of beach just across the road. The volcanic island of Stromboli can sometimes be seen from the beach and a boat trip to Stromboli and the other Aeolian islands is a great day out. We arranged ours at a kiosk on the main shopping street in Amantea, but I'm sure the hotel would make arrangements if asked. We didn't have our own transport but the hotel has 10 bicycles, most of them in good condition. There is no charge for the bikes and we had some great rides away from the coast and into the hills where the scenery is beautiful. The town of Amantea is about 15 minutes away by bike and although most of the road in is fairly busy, traffic always seemed aware of cyclists and gave us plenty of room. Breakfast is buffet style with choices of cereal, cheese, fruit and cake, but no cooked food. Our evening meal was ok. The fish course was usually the best option. If in doubt the waiter's recommendation was the best way to go. The desserts were disappointing, usually only a choice of ice-cream, fruit salad or water melon. A bottle of wine appears to be included in the price of the half-board package. Even when we upgraded to a more expensive wine we were only charged 20 eouros for 7 bottles. The staff were always very helpful. Only one or two spoke English but this was never a problem.
