Reviews for Pineta Dell'Iguana

Review 1:nothing

Review 2:we only needed a place to stay for a night when we were traveling over europe by car, this little village with the cute hotel is a place to go back for sure! absolutely recommended for 100% relax! loved it, thanks a lot!

Review 3:It is possible to do check in only until 19.30/20.00 o'clock. Only on request you could ask a late check in, but not too late (max around 22.00 o'clock)

Review 4:The cleanliness and good value for money

Review 5:Check in time was ao bad. We arrived at 14:30 pm.hotel was closed until 15 pm. Because check in is after 15:00 pm. It means if you arrived earlier, then you should wait outside till 15 pm. Breakfast was fair, one extra hot drinking order is not included and should paid.

Review 6:The location is near to beach, train station ,only 5 min walking

Review 7:Very nice place, quiet and close to the beach as well as the bus station connecting you to nearby places. Great value for your money, friendly staff and clean spacious room (at least the one that we were in).

Review 8:The dinner was overpriced. Prices were the same as in town but the portion size was too small. Staff were nice, except for one guy who kept complaining how bad his job was.

Review 9:The location was nice. Close to beach and small city was perfect for a couple day stay. Breakfast was good, nothing special. We had a room with a shared toilet which was okay. Overall, a pretty good quality for the reasonable price. Staff helped us with everything.

Review 10:This is a 1 star hotel, but for the money you pay for it, it is the best you can get. Near you can find almost the same type of accommodation but much expensive. The breakfast is very poor, only including a very bad tasting coffee, packed croissants, bread with gem or honey, yogurt and cookies. The hotel is clean and the location is very quiet.

Review 11:Too expensive for a really poor hotel.. we did not expect something good as we needed a room just to sleep but the bed was uncomfortable and we spent a sleepless night...

Review 12:Nothing

Review 13:Owner was a very nice lady. The gentleman and the front desk made our stay truly enjoyable - from bringing out a candle to help light a dark evening in the terrace area to giving fantastic suggestions for places to go

Review 14:To be honest not much - we were not under any illusions that this was luxury accommodation. Got exactly what the other reviews had said we would get

Review 15:This is a great value well located little hotel. The place is described as one star but don't be put off by that. The place is spotless and cleaner than some of the more expensive places we have stayed. But the real bonus here are the staff, they are more like family than workers, they all seem to love their job and it shows. The breakfast was fine and although we did not try any of the evening meals judging by the smells coming from the kitchen I would suggest they would be sumptuous. We had one wet day and they happily provided us with an umbrella and for a modest fee did our washing while we were out. Our room had a shower and basin and a shared toilet just outside the door which was fine, I think they had different rooms depending on your tast. But I stress they were all clean. The bus stop into town and railway station was just a short walk and there where some eateries and a grocery shop even closer. Well done guys - this place shows that friendly staff who care win over the 3 star "let me know when you leave" type accommodation which is so often dished up these days

Review 16:- noisy, due to the thin walls and toilets on the hallway - narrow beds - functional room

Review 17:+ close to the beach + cleanness + breakfast + friendly staff

Review 18:Overall, if this hotel were to be evalued by the accomplishments of a young man working in this hotel as a receptionist and waiter among many other things, I`d say this is absolutely the best place to stay of all the hotels i`ve ever stayed at. You seldom come across such dedication and kindness. This place suits anyone who wants to feel welcome. Thank you!

Review 19:location and nearby walks

Review 20:No TV in rooms.

Review 21:Friendly stuff. Good location. 500m from the beach.

Review 22:Loved the location and the tranquil sobriety of the hotel

Review 23:There are no comments available for this review

Review 24:The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly. The value for money is great.

Review 25:Friendly sraff, nice and clean rooms, good price. Beach only 2minutes walk, in a nice small town.

Review 26:Not much in way of views. Steep steps to hotel entrance and rooms.

Review 27:5 min walk to town

Review 28:Friendly, clean and near to everything

Review 29:Wifi in the lobby, bathroom separate from the bedroom, not very helpful staff.

Review 30:Ok breakfast.

Review 31:Very close to the sea Reasonable price Family management

Review 32:we had a room facing the garden on the underground level with windows next to the stairs. Sun never reaches the room so it is quite dark and very very humid. Our things didn't dry and just becoming wetter. also in the evening, when people come back, we could here everything! Good it was autumn and there was nobody sitting in the garden. Otherwise it would be impossible to sleep. It was quite depressing in the room, so we didn't want to come back there after beautiful sunny days in Liguria. If you have that room, please ask to change to not spoil vacation. It is hard to get there without own transport. Trains almost don't stop in Cavi. It was also a hassle to come back from a night out as buses stop running after 20 pm.

Review 33:The hotel is in a very short walking distance to the beach and the road where buses go to Lavagna and Sestri Levante. Breakfast was quite good for the italian hotels and there were always new cakes and focaccia in the morning! Coffee is also very good! We enjoyed the garden for breakfast, where there is plenty of nature and is very quiet. Village is very very small (basically 2 streets only), but there is a certain charm in it and after a few days one can have a feeling that knows everyone. Good big bathroom.

Review 34:Our room was very basic (but we expected that concerning the budget) and located on the ground floor-hotel is located on a hill so despite the windows it felt like basement. Google directions will guide you round way, through the hill-there is a shorter way, so trust your GPS ;)

Review 35:5 minutes walk to the village and the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice garden. Free parking. Spacious private bathroom. Good for a short stay.

Review 36:All as expected for the budget.

Review 37:Helpful and approachable staff. Good Ligurian food in the restaurant, easy walk to the village and beach. Good base for a short stay.

Review 38:the beaches nearby are fine if you just want to look at the sea, but are nothing special. Not a place to stay for a long time - unless used as a base to travel to other areas, but great for a stop over.

Review 39:The staff were very friendly and it was a five minute walk down to the village and the little cafes there.

Review 40:The room was clean, the bathroom too, but it seemed to me they forgotthe shower.

Review 41:Very nice staff, room pretty good, except for bed, too soft, great position.

Review 42:Me and my 3 girlfriends have just come back to the UK after yet another wonderful stay at this hotel. Don't be put off by the 1* status, as we had a very clean room with en-suite, air con/heating, balcony + breakfast. For the price you won't find better as it's a very expensive area. Breakfast included, fruit juice, cereals, cake, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, jams tea and coffee. The two owners, Lucca and Valentina couldn't have been more helpful. They sorted out train times for us and Valentina arranged for her sister to take us to the railway station very early one morning so we could catch the train to Florence. We arrived back late one evening (after missing our stop on the train from Pisa) and even though the kitchen as closed, Valentina made food/drink for us. If you're intending visiting Cinque Terre then this is a great place to stay. The only downside to the hotel would be for people with limited mobility as there's lots of steps when accessing the hotel from the beach.

Review 43:The location was very difficult to find. The room felt like a dorm room with absolutely zero atmosphere or charm.

Review 44:The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Review 45:Not all trains stop at Cavi :(

Review 46:I liked the staff who were very attentive and were able to help us determine what to see and do in the area. It was close to Sestri Levante and only a train ride from the Cinque terre. It was quiet and we preferred this to staying in a bigger town.

Review 47:This hotel was amazing. The rooms were gorgeous and well-sized with breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

Review 48:Room was depressing and cold, even though manager put on heating for us. Noisy radiator. Food in restaurant is good, but not particularly good value for money compared with similar very simple places in Italy - no choice, smallish portions and the restaurant is cold and lacking in ambiance. No breakfast before 8.30 am. Feels more like staying in a youth hostel. Perhaps more cheerful during the warmer weather, but we did not enjoy our stay at Easter.

Review 49:Friendly, helpful staff. Manager speaks excellent English.

Review 50:The breakfast - as usual in Italy. Coffee and sweets.

Review 51:Good hotel. In order to reach this hotel by car, we spend about 1 hour. My car navigator went crazy. It's just for information. On the other hand, it took 3 minutes walk from the beach.

Review 52:Breakfast starts at 8.30 - too late!!! And still the food wasn't ready!!!

Review 53:It's right near the beach, two-minure walk, good local bar, shops and and food. Nice garden. Small inexpensive hotel and relaxed atmosphere. Parking. Handy for bus and train. Beakfast hamper for our early departure.

Review 54:“A little gem” Pending reviewMe and my 2 girlfriends have just come back to the UK after having a wonderful stay at this hotel. Don't be put off by the 1* status as we had a very clean room with a/c, en-suite, balcony + breakfast and we couldn't fault it. Breakfast included, fruit juice, cereals, cake, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, jams tea and coffee. One of the managers, Massimillano, was very welcoming and went out of his way to make us comfortable. The evening meals, which were cooked by Massilillano were, in my opinion, upmarket and much better than the local restaurants we tried. I've already booked to stay again. Stayed June 2012

Review 55:No free wifi in the room.

Review 56:We had a great stay and the staff are excellent and make you feelwelcome. Rooms with bathroom were are good size. Would recommend stayinghere. We travelled wih a 9 month old baby. Restaurant has good food.
