Reviews for HI - Eilat Hostel

Review 1:The 1st night in a 4 bed dorm brilliant On my return in a 6 bed dorm room was musty with mould in bathroom ground floor Noisy kids out of control, no family supervision. The design of building echoes sound, and kids run around the balconies. It would work if kids were kept quiet late at night.

Review 2:bright residence and good breakfast

Review 3:The room was really cold (december) and he windows were a bit drafty, otherwise really good place to stay Breakfast started too late (8). I missed the good breakfast 2/3 of my nights there because of booked tours that left earlier

Review 4:Very good hostel, almost like a hotel! Location was perfect, right next to the beach, a big mall and airport. Receptionist were really helpful and nice, atmosphere was welcoming. Breakfast was supergood. Wi-fi worked and everything was clean. Hostel was expensive, but so was the whole city, so I believe it was well worth the money.

Review 5:for the same deal price i paid i could of stayed at a hotel with a swimming pool.thats my only problem,no pool,i am ok with a beach but for almost 200.00 uk pounds for 4 nights a hotel would of been better

Review 6:the open areas give it much air and light,

Review 7:There are a few really small things: the entrance is a little strange but it is only during renovation, a little noisy because the renovation on the first floor, but don't seat inside during a day-go to the see! Yes, there is no elevator between 2-d to 3-rd floor, but go on foot-it is more healthy.

Review 8:We came from Canada just for a few days. Very good location, very good open terrace with see view, the parking lot on the ground, good enough breakfast, very clean, we were pleasantly surprised of every day room service, staff is very kindly especially young evening receptionist Chen

Review 9:There was an old Arab guy staying in my dorm room of the "youth hostel". During the day he didn't want to unlock the door for me (only one key) until I kept knocking repeatedly. Then at 1:30 in the morning he comes back, turns on all the lights, turns off the AC, and opens the front door to let the hot air in because 25 degrees was too cold for him. I wake up sweating hot to the noise of him making coffee and he starts asking me if I believe in Jesus. So yeah, I'm not a fan of this hostel.

Review 10:The breakfast is very good

Review 11:The price is a bit too high for a simple hostel. But eilat seems to be expensive in general.

Review 12:It's clean and simple, on point what I expected. Breakfast was good!

Review 13:Not far from sea, airport, central city. There is a supermarket across the rode. Clean rooms and beautiful view from terrace on Eilat, Red Sea, Jordan mountains and Akaba. Very good and tasty breakfasts. Not so expensive. I advise this place. Everything is good. May be someone dislike near location airport. Planes landing on the level of your eyes. I liked it, but someone may be dislike this.

Review 14:The parking lot is tiny and was not sufficient for the amount of guests staying there.. Also, the beds are single beds, which was a bit weird.

Review 15:Great location!! The place is clean, the staff was very helpful with every request, breakfast was amazing!

Review 16:A nice surprise was the breakfast box lunch, that was packed for us, as we left for a early day trip to Petra. The staff was accommodating, by securing our luggage after checkout for us as we wandered around Eilat.

Review 17:NO ELEVATOR, you really should put the money into an elevator instead of all the construction in the front. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone due to lack of elevator especially since you have 100 stairs to climb just to get to the check in desk.

Review 18:location.

Review 19:Given the price for a triple room, I don't feel the value was that great for a family. The entire bottom floor is under construction, which made the entrance hard to find and look a bit shady and not a welcoming place to arrive with small kids. The materials used for construction was a bit shoddy-- bathroom doors didn't close properly, etc, airconditioner leaked.., but maybe this is standard for a hostel.

Review 20:Great location. Nice staff. Clean.

Review 21:Shower was smelly, the toilet in the room didn't work good, there is no elevator, there is no room key for each guest

Review 22:Great location, great staff, easy check-in, excellent breakfast! the room was clean

Review 23:We lived in a two-person room and beds were not very comfortable.Instead of one bid bed we had two small beds and it wasuncomfortable to sleep. The prices are a bit hight for this place. But everything in israel is expencive. Breakfast. I was very upset. that There were no meet on breakfast. Lot of salads, souses, coffee, juices, eggs...but no meat. No ham, no bacon, no sausages. Its not a big problem for a young tourist, but i like yo eat and connot not to say about this)

Review 24:Dont be afraid of front look of the hostel! Its just a constraction.I'ts very comfortable hostel, looks more like a hotel. Very simple, but clean and modern. Personal is very good. Everyone speak english and a lot of people speak russian, Our room was cleaned every day. Free parking includet. No old sheets or rooms, cockroaches, rats etc.

Review 25:It was hard to find because the building is being renovated. Therefore, from the front, we only saw a construction site.

Review 26:Staff was friendly. Rooms were simple and clean. Definitely exactly what I expected for the amount I paid.

Review 27:We stayed there at shabbat, many young guys came to have fun in Eilat. They were making lots on noise whole night. But still we saw lots of young couples with kids and mature people from Europe at breakfast

Review 28:The prices in that area are quite high, this hostel offers nice single rooms for small money. Don't expect anything special: the rooms are quite simple and neat. There is enough space in the room, they have a bed, wardrobe, table with chairs, fridge in every room, also you can easily keep your luggage there. The breakfast is various but not luxury: 2 types of eggs, lots of vegetables, 1-2 types of bakery, jams, yogurt, cream, muesli - you won't be hungry anyway. The hostel is placed in 5-minutes-walk from the beach apart from noisy bars and cafes. So no one will disturb you at night. Shops are close to this place.

Review 29:The two computers in the lobby were not working the 3 days we were there. There is no elevator.

Review 30:We are older - there was immediate help to carry our luggage up the stairs. Very helpful people working there. The breakfast was great! Very clean.

Review 31:In conclusion, nop Hope to have an access to Elevator from the street.

Review 32:Every thing was great! Location, staff but thought as a hostel 40 u$would be a bit expensive for a backpacker, but!!! When I took thebreakfast... Every negative thought blew up.

Review 33:The only thing was nowhere to dry wet towels and swimsuits.

Review 34:Everything was great: the best location, friendly and attentive staff, delicious breakfasts, cleanliness, comfort.

Review 35:it's far from the beach, also there's a scary ruin beside the hostel. For a youth hostel, the price is a little bit high.

Review 36:the kind staff. the balcony is relax. bad is comfortable.

Review 37:- fly screen would be good, we had a lot of mosquito bites

Review 38:- good breakfast with a lot fresh vegetables - tidy and clean room - bathroom with separated toilet

Review 39:Nothing I can think of.

Review 40:Very service minded staff at the reception. Comfortably rooms with a fridge and a kettle. Good locked parking area. Easy to reach the beach within waking distance. Good breakfast , we even got a breakfast to go , as we left an early morning time .

Review 41:Waited a bit for a taxi which was ordered but since it did not arrive I walked up to the crossroads and stopped one there myself. First one did not understand where I wanted to go but second one worked out perfectly.

Review 42:Packed lunch was available since I wanted to start very early. Talking to fellow travellers the night before my journey.

Review 43:You don't have loockers at rooms

Review 44:The place is confortable and really clean. Additionally the staff is very kind and help you whatever you need. Breakfast is excellent!

Review 45:- Showers left something to be desired. A small closet like space with a tiled floor and shower spout that sprayed water under the door and threatened to flood the whole bathroom area. -Loud, folks it is a youth hostel and we did have a couple of busloads of teens on site. I had one girl screaming outside of my door. When I aksed her if she was ok she apologized and said she was sorry. Nothing that can't be handled but just realize it will most likely be loud. Bring ear plugs. -Not well lit and surrounded by half condemned/half torn down buildings which is very creepy at night. Should be cleared up once the contruction is final. Don't be fooled, the hostel itself felt very safe!

Review 46:-Room had a bunk bed and full size bed to easily accomadate a family of4. -Big breakfast buffet with lots of choices- Provided an enormous boxed breakfast for our early morning departure. (just ask the front desk the night before) -Very budget friendly -Excellent parking in gated area, very safe -Walking distance to big mall, convenience store, pharamacy, small grovery stores, etc

Review 47:The room was just like college, a bunkbed and two small beds. Kids were screaming outside the door till late. There was construction all around. The actual experience didn't look anything like the photos.

Review 48:The location is close to the airport and waterside

Review 49:It has no character. It feels a bit like a factory. Efficiency and tasks are leading. Sleeping is fine, but don't expect more than that.

Review 50:Good breakfast and beds.

Review 51:Little parking with not enough places, you have to look for parking near the hostel

Review 52:Everything was good. Tasty breakfast in nice dinning room with sea view .We get what we had paid for

Review 53:Wifi was in and out while there. Expensive for a hostel but good for what was available.

Review 54:Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to mall/groceries. Could walk from bus station if you only had a backpack.

Review 55:Awkward parking lot. Breakfast satisfactory.

Review 56:Good location. Cheaper than alternatives. Easy to find. Secure. Nice deck overlooking ocean. Near major tourist shopping center and restaurants.

Review 57:Too noise from big group of guest. Silent shoud require after 12 midnight from the hall.

Review 58:Facilities like hotel. Friendly reception. Clean. Enought space in the room.

Review 59:The cost was very high although perhaps this is just the cost in Eilat. There were a lot of stairs - 2 flights from the street, then more inside.

Review 60:This is fairly basic accommodation.

Review 61:I would've wanted more tourist information when we got there, e.g. a map and how the buses worked. The staff was friendly but I felt that they could've helped more and maybe suggested things to do and places to see.

Review 62:The location is really great. You can walk to the north beach and the shopping malls.

Review 63:I didn't even ask if there were cooking facilities, since it didn't seem to have them. That wold have made it easier to make new friends.

Review 64:Breakfast was great and the location

Review 65:Wifi often cut out, but you can connect if you login again. So many young school kids and noisy.

Review 66:Nice location and great breakfast. Even dorm room has air conditioning.

Review 67:the wi-fi kept disconnecting randomly.

Review 68:i loved the location (that you could see the ocean from the youth hostel and is near the airport, central bus station, dolphin reef, and walking distance from the mall). i also like that the shower and toilet and sink are separated for the dorms for 5 people.

Review 69:bloody noisy with other guests walking and talking outside the rooms all the time

Review 70:location, cleanliness, value,

Review 71:Room 111 had black mould in the show. It smelt and needed a bleach

Review 72:Good Breakfast

Review 73:wi.fi. is relatively weak

Review 74:fresh products in breakfast, laction

Review 75:Hostel naming confusion, therefore it is hard to find it via navigators/maps (as well as street name has many spelling variants).

Review 76:They should sweep under the beds and remember to leave soap. Breakfast was so so.

Review 77:Value. Breakfast wasn't great, but it was a good value.

Review 78:its a guesthouse not an hotel

Review 79:location

Review 90:Not enough parking lots. The door sounds like it open even when close.

Review 91:The breakfast was good and full of choices. Close to the central district.

Review 92:Construction and Israel is super expensive

Review 93:Close to everything

Review 94:There was only white toast for breakfast.

Review 95:Construction is going on at the bottom floor. Nothing was informed in advance.

Review 96:Very close to the center. It is more like a Motel than a hostel.

Review 97:Problem with a weak AC

Review 99:Great location.

Review 100:Clean Friendly staff Walking distance to airport Easy to get to snorkelling beaches

Review 101:No extra towels, no soap, no shampoo, no elevator, had to climb the stairs...

Review 102:Location, breakfast, view, wifi speed

Review 103:Location is very good, near a mall, easy to find.

Review 104:Too many teenager guests. It's like a dormitory.

Review 105:Location. They give packed breakfast in case you need to leave early.

Review 106:Under construction, arrived at night and the place looked like a trash pit from the front.

Review 107:Location is in the center of town.

Review 108:Breakfast could be open earlier

Review 109:Cheap and good location

Review 110:cheap and in the center of Eilat. Went for scuba diving, not luxury but just what we needed.
