Reviews for Red Sea Hotel

Review 1:The toilet stincks and they didn't have enough pillows. The kettle was broken and I had to change it. When I booked the room over the phone they said something and when I got there they tried to increase the price, but only when I insisted the agreed to give me the same price appeared on the booking.

Review 2:The close proximity to the town center

Review 3:we had a very good shower with strong head of very hot (especially for Israely winter) water, but something was wrong with canalisation and we had a room fool of water after it. NO WI-FI

Review 4:We left a bus station, turn round the corner and saw our hotel between shops, exchange, pharmacy. We didn't believe our eyes, but inside it has a pool, quite spacious canteen and in general quite big. We need just to stay for a night, so it was good enough: clean room, delicious breakfast, good location (10 minutes from the sea).

Review 5:Seem to host some large groups of children (when we arrived a youth socces team and our last night more than 50 children of a school), which was noisy.

Review 6:Breakfast

Review 7:the A/C has a set temperature of 25c and in a small room without much airflow it was very hot, regardless of us asking the staff to change the temp twice they did not do it, so we ended up buying our own universal remote (about 50 NIS).

Review 8:the beds are big and comfy, the pool was open even though it was kind of cold.. the breakfasts are worth the extra money. would probably stay again.

Review 9:Rooms look a bit worn out... TV's speakers did not work Had no hot water during the first evening of our stay, but later it was fixed. Reception did not allow us to store our luggage on the day of departure at the hotel reception - had to use a locker for 10 ILS.

Review 10:Location is good, rooms were clean Staff was friendly

Review 11:Extremely noisy at night. We'd ordered two quadruple rooms and were given one cramped triple with a pull-out bed and one cramped triple with no pullout. We moved to the other side of the building, given a room with a poorly functioning airconditioning and poor plumbing. Over all I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone besides teens looking for a somewhat inexpensive place to party.

Review 12:Wifi very weak. Very little window so its dark in the room all the time. No view. Bad smell in rooms.

Review 13:Perfect location near bus station. Free coffee tea. Cleaned room every day.

Review 14:Bathroom doesnt have ventillation, and the water in the pool is cold.

Review 15:Perfect location, basic but clean rooms, towels are changed every day. Breakfast is abundant, with salads, omlette, tuna, cottage cheese etc

Review 16:Bad smell in The hallway and rooms. Terrible breakfast. Staff talkes to you only while talking on the phone. Furniture and last general cleaning done in 1950.

Review 17:Nothing

Review 18:Noise insulation between rooms is very bad. There is no remote control for air condidtioner and temperature always is 26 C. Quite far from the beach and is not convenient if don't have a car.

Review 19:Big bedroom and bathroom, kettle. Good breakfast. Free parking place is in front of the hotel.

Review 20:Arrogant staff. Ugly smelly indoors. Everything smells cigarette. Room smells humidity. No window. Broken furniture. No internet. Broken shower. Party next door all night , couldn't sleep.

Review 21:borecos on the breakfast.

Review 22:Noisy guests and staff who were only quiet between 01:00 hrs until 06:00 hrs..

Review 23:The pool; the hotelstaff were very friendly and helpfull, the restaurant staff worked hard, despite unwarranted complaints from noisy guests.

Review 24:the only thing that could be made better is providing individual air conditioner remotes to all rooms...we had to call someone from reception to adjust the temperature

Review 25:No remote for conditioner..no good Service.... No tea set...no phone...no remote for tv....no cupboad.no good breakfast..nothing good in this hotel...more bad hotel I Ddn't sea never

Review 26:We had to call the police because a fight broke out in the room next tous and noone came from the hotel. The bath was dirty and we never gottowels the 2nd day.not going back again

Review 27:The receptionist was friendly and also the staff

Review 28:I am very dissapointed with the staff at the hotel. They were unfriendly. A room that we got at the beggining was not suitable to stay in it (it should be renewed definetly). After having refused to stay in this room (after one night) they moved us to another room which was more comfortable but there was a big problem with observing of the night silence (we couldn't sleep at all because of loud music and young people knocking to our doors).

Review 29:Hotel's beach was a very nice place and sunbeds were free of charge.

Review 30:Occasional loss of wi fi,but generally good signal

Review 31:Breakfast excellent, vast range of food and drink and plentiful, sufficient to last you through to evening

Review 34:Staff is far from kind. The window blinds where disgusting, so was the boiler, that smelled really bad. We had to turn off the fride because of the noise. It was only for 1 night so it was not so much of a problem, but the general looks is poor.

Review 35:Appart from the location, nothing.

Review 36:The personnel was mostly very poor and unfriendly. There are only two remote controls for the air conditioner and you can't control it while you're in your room. So we had to call someone (the only nice guy) to change the settings and keep them until the end, no changing during your stay was possible. Furthermore, you can't leave your luggage somewhere in the hotel on your last day, so you have to put it in a locker outside. And when we wanted to come in the last time before our departure from Eilat to use the toilett, there was something going on and we couldn't even go in quickly, the women who spoke to us was very rude.

Review 37:The breakfast and the location

Review 38:This was a hotel with no air conditioning in the rooms and the only WiFi was in the lobby. There wasn't even a chair in the room.

Review 39:The location was near the center of Eilat and walking distance to the bus station.

Review 40:Terrible dampness on the roof of shower room. Water had been leakying long time from upper floor. I thing also very much of moulds in the air of the my room.

Review 41:At center and near beach. Good breakfeast.

Review 42:First, The manager (and owner I believe), charged us supplementary for children, even we didn't asked supplementary beads for them. When we disagreed, he told us we may stay in the room but not the children. When we told about booking.com specification (children are to be charged IF use extra beds), he replied he doesn't care of booking.com. Unfortunately we payed in advance and we arrived late in the night, so it was difficult to cancel the reservation. Second, the mess in the room. Not cleaned as it have to. Third, not possible to refresh air in the toilets, which is annoying, for a room of 7 beds with two families. Forth, unfriendly and unhelpful crew. NOT BALANCED VALUE FOR MONEY. My brother stood just next street in a different hotel, in net superior conditions at less price.

Review 43:Breakfast.

Review 44:small window near surface, old and durty furniture on Maman beach

Review 45:Breakfast, fresh orange juice, frendly staff, low price, quite room

Review 46:Good location. Tea in the room. Friendly staff.

Review 47:The cleaning was horrible and the place needed a total renovation. Dirty!

Review 48:Swimming pool closed at 4 pm!

Review 49:Location, close to the shops and not far from the Northern Beach.

Review 50:- the pool terms are only from around 9am till 5pm

Review 51:- a big selection at the breakfast buffet - good located

Review 52:Good breakfast, nice friendly staff, clean room, excellent location

Review 53:No wifi in the room, only in lobby

Review 54:Family room for 5 people, reasonable price, good location with many shops nearby

Review 55:no internet on rooms, only in LOBBY area

Review 56:Just old and run down. No plug hole.

Review 57:IT was good value and in town.

Review 58:the linen is dirty the furniture is browken it smells bad t come to this hotel' recommend you don

Review 66:Basically nothing

Review 67:THE CONNECTION TO INTERNET IMPOSSIBLE INSIDE MY BEDROOM

Review 68:ROOM AND DELICIOUS BUFFET BREAKFAST

Review 69:Desorganisation!

Review 70:Frendly. Good localizacion. Good breakfest. Good room !

Review 71:They need better beds

Review 72:Great breakfast Great price Comfortable hotel

Review 73:Hotel is not on sea line

Review 74:Location Price Included brakefast

Review 75:It was so close to the bus station that it was really convenient for me,10-15 min to the beach, nice shower, but very low pressure for toilet flush, very good breakfast.

Review 76:The music from the pool waqs far too loud if you were older people and trying to have a rest

Review 77:The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was extremely good.

Review 78:Was here in pesah. Each night can't sleep at all - all the it was noise in floor passage in and in the lobby. Finally at 04:00 AM I was forced to call to police. Them came in half an hour and it doesn't helped. The noise starts again after they left. Hotel's staff can't manage situation like this at all ! Two nights I stay here and each night I called to police.

Review 79:Dirty room, floor was tacky from unwashed substance. Patrons were very loud all night through, hotel staff were unwilling to address issue. Checked out after first night.

Review 80:Location. Breakfast.

Review 81:all was very run down .towels were yellow instead of white, bathroom was very run down, and not clean looking. bed was coming apart. Breakfast was poor .we will definite not recommomand this hotel to other people,

Review 82:the only thing ok was the location which was center town.

Review 83:I have got a special price for a couple room, but my girlfriend should still need to charge for 100 shekel extra. Not recommend! The stuffs aren't friendly, not comfortable to communicate with them.

Review 84:Good location.

Review 85:The wifi never worked.

Review 86:This hotel is in actual Eilat, not the strange super-hotel alien colonynear the sea. Staff, room size/comfort, and breakfast wereexcellent. It was cold so we didn't get in the pool, but it looksawesome. Close to el gaucho!

Review 87:Dirty feeling and load . Very strange with people being able to see inside the rooms with missing eye hole in the doors. Would not stay their again because of these things.

Review 88:Nice rooms for the price

Review 89:A bus full of 13 old kids came to the hotel, to our floor, started knocking on each door and doing a lot of loud noise till very late. it was a very bad experience for a couple.

Review 90:The amount of towels per person was a little skimpy but if you ask the staff they will give you more.

Review 91:Our stay at the Red Sea Hotel in Eilat was fantastic. Poolside room, ground floor. Breakfast included fit for a king. Staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and nice for Israeli standards. Location was perfect. Center of town. Prime area. Walking to the Imax, malls, eateries, stores. Across the street from the bus station was a plus. Money changer right next door.

Review 92:rooms and not confrtaoble , old ,need upgrading and painting and free wifi too

Review 93:the hotel has nice breackafst and nice dinner close to the airport and beach too

Review 94:Dark rooms with heavy smoking smell. No ability to control the AC. The toilets didn't flash k properly. There were insects in .the bathroom

Review 95:The breakfast was ok

Review 96:The noise in the evening was horrible. Till 3/4 in the morning there was shouting, drinking & smoking around the pool The room had a connection door which has a huge opening from below, some few centimeters, all the talking in the middle of the night felt like they were actually sitting in our room. The room wasn't clean at all. Under the bed and under the door a lot of hair.

Review 97:That we could stay in Eilat

Review 100:My 18-year old daughter and I booked 2 nights at the hotel, July 23-24. We were given a room poolside and it was noisy all afternoon and all night. The teenagers gathered chairs from the poolside to congregate outside our window all night talking & laughing. A large group of Israeli teenagers dominated the hotel and they were LOUD the whole time-- shouting, drinking, staying up all night. We didn't sleep all night even though we were tired from the 5 hr bus trip from Jerusalem and were preparing for a 12 hour trip the following day to Jordan! We quickly decided after a sleepless night that we would have to change hotels if we were going to get some sleep! We had to leave our suitcase in the hotel room during our tour and we didn't return from our tour until 7 p.m. We checked out about 8 p.m. on the 24th and went to the nearby hostel in town which was about the same price but quiet, clean and spacious. That morning we took a bus back to Jerusalem. So in the end we paid for a night at the Red Sea Hotel even though we didn't sleep there. We booked our rooms through Booking.com and paid for both rooms upon check-in on July 23rd so I couldn't get a refund. It would be a show of goodwill for Booking.com to refund my money for the second night that we even didn't stay there... and it would really blow my mind if they refunded us for the first night as well since we just lay prone in their beds without sleeping due to the disturbance by the other guests.

Review 101:Close proximity to local bus station, grocery store, money changers, eating places, beach not a far walk. a/c worked well, hot water in shower was plentiful with good pressure, small fridge in room, large t.v., microwave and water heater. We didn't get to sample the b'fast because our tour pick-up was at 0710 and b'fast didn't begin serving until 0800.

Review 102:they had cockroaches in the room, the bathtub curtain was disgusting. It was one of the worst and expensive hotel I have ever been.

Review 103:location is ok, nice pool

Review 104:- the rooms and bathrooms are not so clean - there is hard to manipulate the conditioner - the pool is not open all the day, only when the rescuer is in the mood or he is not sleeping - the prices are too high for the conditions

Review 105:- the location is quite good - the breakfast is quite good

Review 106:not much of a view

Review 107:Handy for supermarket shopping, bus stop down to Coral Beach, shady pool when sun too hot, excellent breakfast, good fridge freezer & TV stations

Review 108:Free wifi didn't work. The room had cockroaches in it. Difficult to find the entrance as no signs at all.

Review 109:Right beside the airport although noise not a problem. Near lots of shops. Good breakfast buffet, hot food.

Review 110:The room was run down and in the voucher we were promised a room with apool view, but ended up watching the neighbours backyard from ourwindow. The room had never been dusted and had footsteps on the wall(maybe from killing a cockroach, who knows). The guys in the receptionwere too slow.

Review 111:We had to leave for Petra one morning really early and could takebreakfast before 7 A.M. The breakfast was really good.

Review 112:Check-in and check-out of the hotel was quite slow. The staffweren't always at the front desk so it took a while for them toanswer questions about places to go and things to do. The pool alsoclosed very early each day so we didn't get to use it.

Review 113:The room was clean and the breakfast was good. Great recommendations forthings to do in Eilat. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 114:Unfriendly staff. Our bathroom was very dirty. Pool was mainly closed. Very loud. Window could not be opened.

Review 115:Central in Eilats shopping center. Bars nearby. Cheap.

Review 116:Nothing! Everything was ok!

Review 117:Everything! Friendly stuff, waterpool in Hotel, breakfast- wonderful!.Close to the airport, beach, magazines.....LOVE This hotel! I'm alittle bit afraid to write, what I think about it....maybe after myopinion this hotel will get new guests...and I will have problems tobook my next stay :-)...But- I really think- it is worth to choose thisplace to enjoy the stay in Eilat!

Review 118:Awful! This is strictly for groups of kids who want want to party, not sleep, or large families who can sleep with many people in one room, and who don't care about dirt and noise. I would never recommend this place to anyone who wants a good night's sleep.

Review 119:Location is actually far from the beach since you have to pass around the airport. Bedclothers and equipment are rundown. The hotel and places nereby are noisy.

Review 120:Moderate price in comparision with other hotels in Eilat and good breakfast, helpful staff.

Review 121:Can't control the air-condition, very dirty, poor breakfast, TV with connection problems

Review 122:good prices, 5-10 min. up the hill from the beach, very close to the airport

Review 123:Breakfast, responcive staff

Review 124:The rooms look like a hostel. Rundown

Review 125:Walking distance from bus station when you arrive from Eilat. The breakfast spread is awesome.

Review 126:internet connectivity was lacking

Review 127:early check in possible very good breakfast

Review 128:We lived in a room with no view, somebody started to shout in the corridor at 5 am

Review 129:Excellent breakfast - good and wide choice

Review 130:They did not make my bed.

Review 131:Is in front of the Central Bus Station and next to the airport. They have a good beach and you do not need to pay.

Review 132:The bathroom

Review 133:Felt a bit run down.

Review 134:Location was about 5 minutes from the bus stop. Breakfast was nice where you could press your own orange juice.
